Best Baking Aprons for Women with Pockets

👤My wife is a nail tech so we bought these for her to keep her dry when she pedicures. The ties broke off on the first day she wore them because they were not water resistant. I wouldn't recommend these aprons for anything. My rating is not a reflection on Amazon in that they fulfilled the order very quickly and are not the ones selling these items.

👤I expected them to feel like cotton but not have a backing since they are advertised as waterproof. They feel like a plastic picnic table cloth, but are cute and have a great neck.

👤Not waterproof at all! It's similar to wearing a table cloth. Within the first week, one of the waist ties fell off. I don't recommend using floral design or gardening for that purpose.

👤I don't know why water resistant would be included in the description. I don't know if I got a pair that weren't treated. If you're wondering if they'll fit everyone, I'm usually a 2x in Chef clothes and they fit great. The top loop for your neck is made of cheap material and can be adjusted. That's the only thing I don't like about them. I started a home bakery and it works very well. Well done over all.

👤I like the front of the apron. The material on the back of the apron is not something I like. It will peel. The apron is a bit stiff. I have never seen an apron with that kind of backing. Maybe it's for the protection of your clothes. I think it will peel in the wash. It will have to be hung up to dry so it won't stick together. I'm debating if l will keep it. It's not like cotton aprons I'm used to. It is a little heavier than the regular cotton aprons. If l decide to keep it, I will give another review. Looks the same as in the picture. Love the style but hate the fabric.

👤These aprons are stain proof and waterproof, so they're perfect if you want them to absorb anything that comes in contact with them. They are made to look nice. There is a big pocket in front. The price for two makes them much nicer than I expected. They are thick and have a nice texture. It is easy to clean by wiping off. They are not cheap. I would wear one of these with a guest in the house, I'm a 'dress to impress' kind of person.

I liked that you get two in the pack, which meant I could wear one and really slop it up while doing the bulk of my cooking, then switch to the clean one once guests arrived.

It fell apart in the dryer before I wore it, because there was no thread holding it together. A dark moment. I found the next-cheapest aprons with pockets. If one fell apart, I would still have one left, but I would buy two, one to use and one to wash. I found an excellent apron, but this isn't one. This is the other one. This one is adequate. I'm a fat old grammy. Being big proved to be a good thing, as I figured the tie would work differently for me than the picture showed. My apron ties don't get dragged through the food and hang halfway to my knees. I like strings that tie in the back. The tie strap for the neck has to be retied every time I wash it. I wouldn't trim the floral print with black and white polka dots. It doesn't have great coverage, the pocket is one and it's wider than it is, which is annoying, because my phone tends to fall out of the front at bad moments. I paid two bucks more for it than I paid for a really good apron. If you want a good basic kitchen apron with sturdy pockets that will hold together till you are carried away from your home, go for the one with vertical black stripes reviewed by me. That is an apron. I don't like returning things. I don't like this apron, but I wouldn't buy it again.

👤I returned it because I wanted an aqua apron. The apron was supposed to be brown and aqua. The style I purchased should be shown above. The polka dots were the perfect shade of aqua and I wanted them to be. The pocket and neck tie are pale sky blue. The colors don't match and the apron is clashing. The shade of brown on the frills and the shade of brown on the rest of the apron are different. Since I wanted to buy an aqua apron, I had to return the pale sky blue one I got. 2. The apron was cute but the stitching was just ok, other than the colors that don't match. The edges and folds were neatly tucked in. They used white thread on the pockets which makes it very visible on the apron and to make matters worse, the stitching goes about a half inch past where the fabric stops so it's not done well. 3. I haven't worn an apron in years but decided to get one to wear while doing the dishes and cooking because my clothes always get wet when I lean on the sink. Food can splatter on me while I cook. The fabric would have been fine to take on splashes of food. I would have gotten my clothes wet if I had worn it while doing the dishes because it was too thin and not absorbent. The water would have gone through it. I wouldn't recommend this apron unless you want something cute and fun to wear in the kitchen or at a party.

👤There was an update. I bought the 2 pack of aprons almost a year ago. They have been worn almost daily. I didn't follow washing instructions. I can dry my hands on the bottom of the aprons because they have softened enough. I need to sew them back on after the pocket stitching came out. I'm ordering 2 more on May 10. The aprons ended up in the dirty clothes basket. I have to wear a dirty apron until I can get laundry done. I should have ordered 2 pairs. I will be in another month or two. I will be able to change daily. These are exactly what they were promised. I'm 5'3" and about 220 lbs. They cover my knees and sides. I don't wipe my hands on my front while I bake. I can read the directions for the care of the fabric. Water runs off of them. Water resistance will not last long if proper washing and care directions are not followed. A good product and what I needed in a pinch for a good price. My 8 year old grandson decided he needed to wear 1 while helping me cook so I need to order more. The ties don't tie in front with me being as round as possible. I'll change that later. Update... I wear these aprons daily. They were washed not according to directions. I use warm water and a brand of laundry detergent. The aprons are now conforming to my curves. Even though the towel at my feet is very wet, my clothing does not get wet. I love these aprons.

👤I don't understand why there are negative reviews on aprons. I am a baker at the cafe and I dirty up my aprons a lot. I needed more aprons because I was tired of alternating between two and trying to keep up with washing them. I was expecting them to be stiff and hard after reading some of the negative reviews. They are light and durable. It's not soft, but it's not supposed to be a blanket. It is water resistant, but not waterproof, as it says in the description. I wash the stains and mess and they clean up. The only thing I would change about these is that the pockets are just one big pocket. I carry my phone around so that I can have music going and read recipes, and having the phone in the vertical pocket makes kneeling or bending over difficult. I can't complain. The best part is that they don't look dirty when they're dirty.

👤The reason I am giving a 3 star review is because I received a cotton apron and a polyester apron instead of the cotton aprons I purchased. They look and feel the same, even though they are made of different materials. I decided to keep the aprons because it was too much work to return them at the post office. I will review the differences of the materials after wearing them for a while.
