A better quality set is something I would suggest.

You are reading the wrong reviews if you don't want a bowl made of steel.

👤Colorful lids remind me that life does not have to be boring. They are used as food storage in the refrigerator. I would like the lids to be transparent. The inside mirror finishing is something I like. It makes it easier to wash. The second smallest lid is too big. It is difficult to put the lid on.

I don't know why the lips are oxidizing. The burn mark started after I washed it. The oxidizer came. I live in a no smoking community and I could not have caused this with flames. I was in denial after the process started. I was no longer able to speak. These are fresh from the bag. I recycled my old bowls. I was blinded by the lure of other gadgets. I'm so disappointed.

👤I like the protective bottoms of these bowls. Silicone bottoms make it difficult to remove the inner bowls from the nest because they can't slide out from one another. I have some thoughts after using these for awhile. I like the fact that the lids seal and allow you to stack in the fridge, whereas stretch wrap without lids would not. The bowls are so closely nested together that it's almost impossible to separate them from each other, because of the non-slip action of the silicone bottom. My solution was to separate the alternate sizes and store them in my cabinets. If you have the room to store like this, the alternating sizes in each stack makes it easier to grab a bowl out of the stack.

👤I ended up coming back. Amazon is amazing again. The spots didn't go away after the first wash. They appeared to be inside the glass. The bottom of the largest bowl was not smooth. I thought the dishwasher might not have removed the dirt and dust from the warehouse and baked it on, but after washing the glass in hot soapy water, there were tiny air bubbles or bits of sand in it. It's a large bowl and didn't want to cause any damage to the food. The 8 bowls that appeared to be fine after the 2nd wash may have been a bad set. If you want to take a chance on them, you can return if you live near a Kohls or Whole foods store. Excellent packaging and quick delivery are what the original review states. All 10 bowls arrived safely, because the vendor packaging was sturdy. They needed a good wash in the dishwasher. There was a muddy looking spot on one bowl and dust and debris on others because they were not covered with plastic. Normally, I just run new dishes through a quick hand wash in hot water and rinse, but I wanted to make sure they were as clean as possible. I was surprised to see that the bowls are not as heavy as I thought. They don't have the same logo on the bottom. They are not as tall as the one from the store that I have had for a couple of years. I am not a fan of mixing, but they are much wider which makes them easier to stack. I looked up my Anchor Hocking mixing bowl on Amazon and it sells for $21, so I think the set I received is a cheaper tier or off brand, or maybe a knock off, not sure. If you're looking for traditional Anchor Hocking quality, I wouldn't recommend full retail. It's nice for someone on a budget.

👤I tried to like the bowls, but I was too excited to. I find myself saying words that I shouldn't say every time. These are bowls. I mix a lot. I bake for my family frequently. The first set I ordered had a defect in the black base grip part. I ordered another set after sending them back. The issue is here. The bowls are large. At the top, they flare outward. This is a poor design for a number of reasons. The wide brim is bad for cracking eggs. There is a thin spot near the pour spout that is okay for this task, but don't pay attention to it anywhere else. The bowls are a tad too shallow and a tad too wide, but probably the culprit is the outward flare at the top. The flour goes everywhere when I mix it. The sides should be straight up. I find it hard to be so careful, but inevitably whatever I am mixing ends up spilling out several times. It's too frustrating. The flared brim and an inch too shallow are the only problems with these bowls.

👤I got two of the same size. I went to wash them. I got a yellow lid and no yellow bowl, but there was supposed to be one of each color. Not bad items. I wish I had one of the sizes that are used often. I wouldn't send a gift knowing what I received.

I bought for the multiple bowl bottom and matching lid colors. They are a joke. Give them to your child, niece, or grandchild to play with. The measuring cups/spoons are not child-sized.
