Best Baking Bowls Mixing Set with Handle

👤I tried to like the bowls, but I was too excited to. I find myself saying words that I shouldn't say every time. These are bowls. I mix a lot. I bake for my family frequently. The first set I ordered had a defect in the black base grip part. I ordered another set after sending them back. The issue is here. The bowls are large. At the top, they flare outward. This is a poor design for a number of reasons. The wide brim is bad for cracking eggs. There is a thin spot near the pour spout that is okay for this task, but don't pay attention to it anywhere else. The bowls are a tad too shallow and a tad too wide, but probably the culprit is the outward flare at the top. The flour goes everywhere when I mix it. The sides should be straight up. I find it hard to be so careful, but inevitably whatever I am mixing ends up spilling out several times. It's too frustrating. The flared brim and an inch too shallow are the only problems with these bowls.

The only criticism is that the description doesn't say what type of plastic they are or the fact that they are not microwaveable, which may have impacted the purchase.

I immediately packed these back up and returned them for a refund. I don't think I'd be happy with this purchase after learning how they're made, even if the handle didn't fall off. I would expect the handles to be welded or riveted on. This is not a good way to go about introducing a new brand.

👤I like the 3-piece 18/10 bowls from the Avacraft. The perfect sizes for mixing everything from pancake batter to muffin mix are available. I mixed a bunch of muffins to see how they would drive. Everything is wet in the smallest and dry in the largest. The handle made it easy to hold the bowl steady while whisking the ingredients and to wash them quickly. The bowls have easy to read annotations. Any scratches from a metal whisk are hidden by the brushed interior. I will buy a set of bowls as a gift at the next bridal shower because they feel more expensive than the cost. The snap on lid of the largest bowl made it easy to make a double batches of pizza dough with room for rising and it kept me from wasting plastic. Wrap. There is a It's better to just use the snap on lid because plastic wrap has a hard time making a tight seal over the top because of the position of the handle. Very happy with the purchase.

The price is higher than their competitors, but in the long run it should be worth it. The bowls have all the features one would want in a mixing bowl. 👤Really nice. I didn't think about why I might need a handle on the bowl. Is it coming in handy? I love them. I made frosting in one and immediately used the handle to hang onto it and the hand mixer in the other. I was able to turn the bowl on its side with the handle. I was in love. It stayed put and was a really nice item. I don't think you would be disappointed in these bowls. I have had lids that didn't fit, but these are great for anything you would want. They are perfect.

👤They look nice, but they are just okay in my book. I don't like the lids. I can't remove a lid without making a mess. I think the second issue is my fault as I never thought of mustard as acidic. I have had an old, cheap bowl that I've used for over 30 years and thrown in the dishwasher, it looks better than the bowl that I've used three times and been hand washed. I might try to get some Bar Keepers friend on it. The old cheap no-name on the right is the Cuisinart.

If you drop one, it won't break and you don't need to put it in the sink. I used my electric hand mixer in these and it did make a few small marks on the inside, but it's only a cosmetic thing. I'm sure they'll stand up to that abuse for a long time. The tall lip kept the ingredients from splashing out too much. You can't use them in the microwave. I've never had a mixing bowl with lids, but they are a nice feature. I'm not sure if it's any more effective than plastic wrap, but it's still appreciated. If you cook for more than two people, you might want to consider a set that goes to a larger size, but otherwise, this set will serve you well, and at a great price.

I went to make a salad with the medium bowl and there was a crack in the rim. I have thrown out the packing materials and don't have the strength to return. The package was fine. There were no dents or holes. The bowl set was damaged in the warehouse. It was not a shipping issue.

👤I was not happy with these. I didn't expect them to be so flimsy. One bang against another surface in my kitchen would cause a lot of damage. The primary problem with them is not that. I found that there was a black substance on them that wouldn't come off. I guess the company that made these decided to cheap out on the final cleaning processes, but I don't know. I couldn't get it off. I tried washing them by hand, but nothing got the substance off the bowls, and I ran them through my dishwasher twice, one time on the most aggressive settings I had. There was a problem underneath the outside rim of the bowls. I would end up with a weird substance on my skin if I ran my finger along, and it was hard to wash it off. If these bowls were very well-made, I would have tried to get this substance removed, but they are so light and flimsy, it is unbelievable. The lids are very cheap. I might have lived with the quality, but not with this problem. They don't need to include measuring cups and mixing utensils. The things look like they would be difficult to use. The cups look like they would break.

👤I don't believe in one star reviews but I had to read them. The bowls are sturdy. They have a non-slip coating on the bottom. The lids are not advertised as airtight. The larger bowls have lids that pop out on their own. I have Tupperware from the 80's with better lid. It's a 1 star for having worthless lids. If you want a better review, change your description. The lids are gross.

It is possible to stack it to save space, but I will not suggest to tip it over as it is not drip proof. The mixing accessories are a nice addition. 👤Excellent set! The largest bowl is my favorite for casseroles. I took a picture to show the inside of the casserole, minus the dry box of stuffing that is sprinkled on top. There was a lot of room to mix and not worry about it falling over the edge. I put a picture next to my Pyrex bowl that I use for mixing. The bowl is small enough to hold scrambled eggs. Eggs are easy to crack along the rim of these bowls. I like how the bowl is one piece, so I don't have to worry about water in hidden areas. These are a great set to have around the house. They can't go in the microwave which I would prefer for when I need melted butter, but I feel like it's not a big deal to just use a glass bowl to melt things. I would still recommend them for a kitchen staple.

👤I am happy with the bowls because of the difficulty in handling heavier things as I age. Not only for their lighter weight, but the fact that they are deep as well. I like a deeper bowl that allows the mixture to fall back into the bottom as you mix. The right-sized bowl will not let the mixture splash out of the bowl as much. I have already washed them in the dishwasher and used them in the microwave. The non-skid bottoms are nice. I have had these for several months. I use them a lot. Even with heated wash boost, there are no problems with washing in the dishwasher. I prefer using glass containers in the microwave.

👤Disappointed. It was much bigger than expected. My small and medium one will be replaced by the smallest one. I can't think of a salad that would be as large as this one. The measurements are only in liters of water. Decided to keep it and go through the hassle of choosing another. I peeled yams and cut them into bowls while I was preparing to put them in a pot after I thought they were wonderful. The bottom of my bowl is stained. I've tried a lot of things, but now I'm trying hydrogen peroxide. Who thought that would happen? They were in it for a while.

They were very quick to respond to emails, apologized profusely for not sending or having the right item, and as soon as the pkg was picked up they refunds my credit card. 👤I have decided to be a cookier. I saw a video of a bowl being used. I had to have some for a number of reasons. Clean up is easy, icing/glaze washes off. You can pinch a pouring spout to get into a piping bag or squeeze bottle. They are easy to grab. I have not mixed the icing in the bowls, they aren't big enough, and the sides aren't thick enough to use a hand held mixer. They're perfect for dividing icing into portions so that color can be mixed in.

👤A bowl that is nearly perfect. Put hot liquids in it and beat eggs. The dishwasher base holds water. It has no effect on stability because it has a small slot cut into it. It still leaves a small water ring, but it's much better than standing water.

The bowls have a raised bottom section that creates a sharp bend at the junction between the side and bottom of the bowl. The corrugation makes the bowl worthless as a mixing bowl. The raised seam catches the whisk as food collects in the seam. They are nicely made and have a nice retro thumb ring. The handles have replaced the thumb rings in the bowls. Please fix the Tovolo.

There is no etching of any kind. These bowls are not fancy. Do not purchase if the measurement is required. There are many less expensive choices if there are needed measurements.

They are thick and seal better than most lid equipped items. These are just as good or better than a restaurant. I have seen pans that are thinner. They are either a heavy gauge or a double wall construction. The edges are rolled and there are no marks on them. The ring is half a dollar in size. The value is better than sets that cost more. I can't say that I shouldn't have expected that result given that it was already cracked when I did it, but as surprised as I was, I can't say that I shouldn't have done it. I didn't replace it because I have other bowls in my house, but after using some other bowls, I realized what I liked about this one. It's not the cheap thin plastic that a lot of these white generic bowls are and feels more brittle with temperature extremes as I found out. I like the non slip base. I decided to look for a replacement for the shape because I missed it the most. These are taller and deeper than they are wide. I have a nice set of glass bowls that are more bowl shaped, but they take up too much space in the fridge, and I don't like them. The previous bowl I used lasted me many years and I'm confident that the new one will do the same. I looked at the bottom of the bowl before throwing out the pieces. This came with 3 bowls and was a very reasonable price. I only had the largest bowl. I'm excited to have the smaller ones now.

👤I bought this set to replace my 40 year old Copco bowls which were beginning to show wear from too much whisking. I hope the new sat will be as durable as the old one. The handles are smaller than the Copco, making it more difficult to hold the bowl in place when mixing.

👤I bought this set a couple of years ago and have been using them for everything, they're great for microwaving, and cleaning after cooking is easy, food just doesn't stick, and I can say that after hundreds of uses! My family borrows them and I never see them again. I refuse to let out of the house the biggest one, so I have to order it.
