👤I made my first loaf in this pan. I used the King Arthur recipe for multigrain bread and it worked well for this pan. A loaf was produced. I used 350 degrees for five minutes before using it. A small amount of butter was rubbed on the inside. Then it was scrubbed clean of any remains. The bread slipped out without any issues. There were no burned areas. The bread has a good flavor. I didn't put the lid on the loaf. My top is rounded. The clean up was done with a paper towel. Popped it back in the oven. The lid on the counter is a little askew. It slides on the box. Don't think it will be a problem. I used the King Arthur recipe for multi grain bread. It worked perfectly for this pan. A loaf was produced. I own the larger pan. The pan has a correguated feature. 👤I got a pullman loaf pan for myself because I have been wanting one for a long time. I was a little worried that the inside wouldn't be the Silicone non-stick coating, and it's not as shiny as a different baking pan, but nothing has stuck! I butter the insides and the lid because I don't want the sides to get a loaf out. It slides out. I baked a cinnamon sugar filled rolled raisin bread and it didn't stick. Buttered the inside lightly. It is not leak-proof. There are 3 small vents at the bottom, but the sides where the metal is folded together leak more. I filled my cinnamon sugar with it and rolled it proofed. Sugar is a sticky substance and tends to pull water and liquify into it. It's not a problem for the bake because it gets absorbed back in and gives you a delicious caramelized crust. There were puddles on the sides of the pan. The dough plugged the holes. If you're making a filled dough, put a plate under it while it's proof and a piece of parchment under it in the oven to save yourself a burnt sugar clean up. Someone else said this pan handles 800g of dough. I have tried many times. The upper corners haven't been filled with the top on. domes and straight sides are what I have gotten from the picture-book.

If you use Betty Crocker or Pillsbury you can fill 2 of these pans with 1 box of banana bread and 1 box of blue berry muffin mix. I usually bake more than one loaf at a time, so I needed more than one pan, but I don't know if that's possible with these. We use a pan from Caphalon for brownies and loaf pans. 👤The pan was easy to bake in. I don't need to lower the oven temperature for bread loaves because it works great. The inside four corners are not tight. They have small gaps in the pan that make it hard to clean the corners with a brush, and water gets in and I can wash the pan without damaging it. I'm a little worried about food or water being trapped in there and possibly becoming a mold problem or rust. It works, but doesn't like the corners.

👤I have been making bread for 30 years. 6 months ago, I purchased 2 of these pullman pans and have used them weekly. The heavy duty pans are very good. I have not had a problem with rust/scratching despite some reviews. Every time, I use a recipe from 1906 from the Chicago Tribune for a 9” pan. The logo should be left in the top of the loaf because the lids fit well. I treat the pans and lids the same way I treat my century old cast iron. After releasing the loaf, I wipe the pans and lids down with a damp cloth, then place them back in the hot oven to cool. The performance is affected by these little extra steps.
👤I have made a few Pain de Mie using this pan. I initially liked the pan, but have come to realize that it must be better quality in the U.S. No, no. The loaf of Pain de Mie exploded the poorly fitting top off of the loaf pan and the pan material bent in the oven after about the 6th use. The lips around the pan are weak and poorly formed. I am far beyond a simple amateur baker and was using a standard Pain de Mie for this pan. French or Chinese imitations are much better than the ones you buy in the US. I have several of those and they have held up better than this pan. "Made in the U.S." Not true at all.
👤I have a pan loaf in my kitchen that has baked at least 20 loaves. The loaf pan was chosen for its size. A 2-lb. is the size of most of my recipes. The top of the loaf is close to the edge of the pan. The slices turn out larger than I wanted. These are what I wanted. The quality has held up well. The finish isn't a "no-stick" finish. You need to grease it, but I have not had a problem getting it to release the loaves. The pan isfolded into shape, and that leaves tiny vertical grooves in each corner that tend to accumulate a build-up of old crust. I suggest you keep some bamboo skewers with you if you buy this item. They are the right people to clear out those grooves.

Place it in a pan, push it into it, then score the top with a knife. I place the pan on the top of the oven to get it ready for the oven to warm up. I have a loaf of bread that is tall. I toast it at a short interval. The slices shrink just enough to fit on the side of the bread that is on high. I now have some nice slices to make my sandwiches with. I use a Lock & Lock and pre mix my flour so that I don't have to mess with it when I want to make a loaf or a pizza. My flour mix is comprised of 2 cups of brown rice flour, 1 cup of potato starch, 1 cup of millet or sorghum flour, 1/2 cup of buckwheat flour, and 1/2 cup of ground roasted, unsalted sunflower seeds. I can fit 3 batches into the bin with the large Lock & Lock. A lot of ingredients, but a structured loaf. I just bought another one of these pans. I like the larger size so that I get more slices. The first one lost it's non-stick feature, so I reduced this pan a bit. I have to spray it. I don't use the pan at more than 350 degrees.

It was first used to make a loaf of bread, but the bread was stuck in the corners, because I put too much butter on the pan. If you get stuck in the corners of the pan, you will have a hard time getting it out as the pan is not very smooth. The loaves I bake in this pan come out with no effort after I cleaned the pan. I flip the pan. I don't have to hit them. I don't have to grease the pan with butter or oil. A light coat is all it takes. This has been a great purchase for me and I would recommend it to others.

If you want to get the best results, preheat the pans in the oven first and then add loaf in it. The loaves were golden brown and crisp. Great pans. The way it was packaged was very bad. They had a box with a small bag that did nothing. The box was larger than the pans and they got thrown inside causing some damage to the box. When I picked up the box, I could hear them banging. I was expecting them to be broken as had happened to others, but they were not. Amazon needs to add more packing to the boxes or ship in a tighter box so they don't get broken. If the pans were in individual boxes that would help. They were put in a box that was exposed. The pans were snapped off when people got them in bags. 👤I like the size of these pans. They are more narrow than the average home loaf pan. I think there is more sandwich sized. It allows for more slices per loaf and I love using it for quick breads. Everything I've made so far has turned out perfect, because I adjust cooking time. If you wanted a taller loaf or more serving, you could probably double the recipe in one pan.
