👤It is wonderful if you make it with this thing. I make my own baguette and this mold is a very good one for its price and efficiency. You can make 4 middle size baguettes with this mold. I live in France, but I don't think the French bakeries or the French stuff which do the best baguettes are the best. The French colons left the country running as fast as they could, but fortunately not without leaving behind the tradition baguette recipe. Some bakeries around that dare to call themselves French bakeries and make people pay a mountain for terrible bread should instead ask their Asian friends for a copy of their recipe. If you want to make a recipe that is interesting, you will need 2 hours to make it, and you will need 500gr flour, 10 gr dry yeast, 10 gr salt, and 300 g water. 👤The dumb driver who delivered this just threw this at my door and walked away. He was lucky it wasn't something that could easily break. There is a chance because I haven't looked at it. Some drivers have no business handling people's stuff. It is off to a better start than the silver one which was impossible to remove even after washing multiple times. I removed the aluminum color coating from it. The glue was easy to remove, but they might change it to make it seem like it was new. Baking banana bread will be nice. I bought a second one for bread making and the lines hold rust and when I wash it the first time it leaks orange water and I don't know why it's doing this if my first one is ok. I ordered a third one to see if it would be better than my first one, but like the second it leaks rusty water and it makes me sad because I need two and now they don't seem safe. I don't understand why it has those pockets that leak. It's pointless. I am very disappointed with how this is going. You should wash it first. If it leaks orange as it dries, just send it back immediately because it's not safe and it will collect the rust.

👤I like that these make you feel more professional. Guess what? I put three in my Ekco pans and three in the 6-loaf batches. I've done this many times. The Ekco pans give a uniform color and do not burn a corner or edge. I prefer the light-steel colored Ekcos over the darker pans because they are simpler to use. They are not going to throw them away, but they are very disappointed they don't make a difference.

They get a lot of use and still look new, after hundreds of cookies and many sheets of matzo caramel crunch and double batches of brownies. Chicago Metallic makes really serious baker's equipment that is worth the price.

👤This is what I was looking for, most of the bread recipes didn't fit in my other pans. The pan is the biggest one in the picture and it is compared to the disposable aluminum foil pan 8x3.5 and the medium size one.

👤I wanted to make New England style hot dog buns that were longer, so I bought 2 of these. I make enough bread dough for a loaf. I put half of the dough in each loaf pan, pressing it into the bottom to spread it out. I allow the dough to rise for about 30 minutes. I sealed the pans with foil after brushing the dough with milk. They go into my oven at 350F for 15 minutes, then I remove the foil and let them bake for another 10 minutes or so, until the internal temperature is 190F. After removing it from the oven, I need to cool it off for 10 minutes, then I need to cut it. It's easy to cut them into buns. You need to cut a thin slice off the loaf. You slice the loaf in half. Then slice each half into 3 equal pieces. 6 bread slices are half the height, but twice as thick as a normal slice. Carefully cut a slot into the top to make sure you don't cut too deep. Pan toast the buns with a little butter, stick one of those longer length hot dogs in the slot, and add your topping.

👤I decided to try this pan because I find the loaves I bake end up oddly shaped and difficult to slice, but I am so pleased with the results. I learned to be patient while making bread from the Great British Baking Show. I put the dough in this bread box to rise an additional 30 minutes before baking, because I now do most of the work with my bread machine. I think 1lb of dough is fine. Since purchasing this pan, I have made loaves weekly. I made 3 loaves of bread, 2 of which were herbs and cheese, and the other was pesto bread. The gold pan is heavier than the black pan. I don't know how common that is, but I don't want to deal with it. The gold is a rose gold color. There are holes in the pan, but I didn't have any issues with that. If I were to bake something other than bread, I would line it with foil to avoid drips. I think the pan is a great size since you can fit 2 lbs of dough into it. I got this pan because of the lid. The lid makes it possible to bake a uniform loaf of bread. It stayed in place while baking. It was easy to remove. I thought I would start with 1lb of dough, but it only filled the pan about 60 percent, so I went back to reading that the pan baked 1lb of dough. I made a 1.5lb loaf and a 2lb loaf which both worked, but 2 lbs of dough will fill the pan nicely. The 1.5lb loaf is next to the 2lb loaf and you can see that the 2lb loaf filled the pan more than the 1.5lb loaf. I baked my loaves at 350 for 35 to 45 minutes. I have a metal bread box, but I also purchased a LOCK & LOCK HPL849 bread storage container, which you can see in one of my photos. It is not large enough to fit 2 full loaves, but it will fit at least 1.5 loaves. I have a bread box and it has a bread container inside it. The 2lb loaf was easier to slice than the 3 loaves I have made so far. I was able to slice the bread into very thin slices. I want to be able to cut more consistently sized slices. This pan is amazing. I plan on making loaves for us regularly since it is so easy and I love the results, but I have never been much of a bread maker. I recommend this pan to anyone who wants to make a loaf of bread that is easy to slice.

I want to replace all my bakeware with whatever the pans are made from. I dare to say that these out perform Calphalon bakeware. I like the champagne color.
