Best Baking Chips White Chocolate

It's getting ridiculous when you get a container that's only 1/2 full, because manufacturers are trying to cut costs by shrinking the amount purchased. It's a waste of plastic and turns a wonderful product into a scam. You are better than that, Orgain.

👤I try to never review a product until I've been using it for at least two weeks. It's an honest opinion after two weeks and going to the gym 6 out of 7 days a week. I find the taste decent enough to put over my cereals. It's priced fairly well for what it offers compared to other competitors and it's one of the worst tasting powders I've tried. I tried to get it out with a knife, spoon, and fork. I cursed and buried my hand in the jaws of life. I had to do some spear fishing for a few minutes despite using my hand. The star was off. This powder is one of the few out there that doesn't give me the tumblies or the ducks, so I can't complain too much. The lack of dairy ingredients as well as the E.R. doctors being thankful for not having to inject muscle relaxants/fluids into me at three-in-the-morning is what my intestines are thankful for. It doesn't have as much of a per scoop source of food allergy sufferers like me, but it still has a great choice for those who want their food allergy relief. A good product that has the potential to be great, but definitely needs more work in the taste department. This will be my go-to for now. Overall, it was a 5/7 stars.

👤I replaced 1-2 meals a day with the creamy chocolate I ordered. This is the first powdered mix that I have bought and I can not compare it to any other shake mix. I can tell you that the taste is great. It can be a little hard at first, but after learning how to blend it with a bullet, there is no chalkiness or grit to it. The base is almond milk. I am not hungry for 4.5 hours, which is the best part. I will be ordering more.

👤I wanted to send my dislike for this product directly to the seller, but I couldn't because I couldn't find contact information. I've been drinking a lot of shakes for years and wanted to switch to something without the fake sugars. I drank my first shake and felt gagged. The taste is bad. I've had other products from Orgain, but this is not one of them. I can't recommend this product.

👤Before someone mentioned to me, a lot of this stuff was too sweet. I was shocked when I looked at the label, I had never thought about it before. The company has been cheating everyone. Look at the ingredients label right now and read it. "Natural Flavors" is not a healthy or organic choice. Why does it need natural flavoring? They are using quality and healthy ingredients. They should not need a Sugar Additive called Erythritol because it tastes good. erythritol can be produced with yeast or another fungus. It's bad. This science experiment will never be bought again.

👤I stopped eating sugar and artificial sweeteners a long time ago because I realized how harmful sugar is to human health. I eat chocolate that is 100% cacao bakers chocolate to satisfy my chocolate craving. The chips are more convenient for snacking than having to break up a bar of chocolate. Large chunks of chips were stuck together at least, and giant chunks of solid chocolate were in new shapes, because the chocolate had been partially melted. It's all discolored with white speckles, which indicates age and/or inappropriate storage. Some of it had a weird texture that was not what the solid snap chocolate should have. I needed it for baking and it melted okay, but I wouldn't have shown it to anyone or eaten it straight, it was gross. I'll bake with it and leave the review. Don't use them in something visible or eat them. You could try to bake with them.

👤I had problems with the chocolate chips I ordered. The first issue is that the chips lost their temper and came out of the bag brittle and chalky. I think the chocolate got too hot. I bought these premium chips based on the ingredients listed on Amazon. The ingredients are: Sugar, UNSWEETENED CHOCOLATE, Cocoa Butter, Soy Lecithin. My wife and I have an allergy to dairy. Whole milk powder is on the list of ingredients. It's frustrating to pay top dollar for a premium product and then for it to be adulterated with unlisted ingredients, and your body considers it poisonous.

👤The Callebaut Belgian brand baking callets are one of the best tasting and workable chocolates I've ever used. The callets melt quickly and are versatile. I have recently purchased the milk chocolate variety and have enjoyed both the semi-sweet and white chocolate flavors. The flavor of these little gems is amazing. If you want to make a dipping sauce for strawberries or for a delicious drinking chocolate, add 1/2 cup of milk chocolate and 1/2 cup of cacao powder to a small sauce pan and cook for a few minutes. Add espresso or milk chocolate callets to make it a mocha, or blend the two flavors to make a mocha. You will find yourself trying to not eat them by the handful.

👤I started cooking French food just before the lock downs started. We couldn't eat out during all of that, so I threw myself into it. I wanted to practice with chocolate. I found myself grabbing a handful of this stuff whenever I was in the kitchen. It was a great snack. I need another bag.

👤It's not a lump or a puddle, it's actually here. The location is relevant in that we are still experiencing daily temperatures in the 98-102F range and the package was on its way from the west coast for a few days and spent most of today on the truck for local delivery. This was in a retail style bag. There are lots of instructions on the bag. It is not the clear plastic bag shown in earlier reviews. I have no doubt that cooling packs helped, but by the time the package got to me, there were 2, they were inside a thermal bubble wrap that was well taped along with the product. There was enough condensation inside the thermal bag to make a puddle. The condensation didn't get inside the bag. July 2020 is the best date on the bag. This is fine for about 10 months. If you can't finish this in 10 months, you're not right. Some of the chips melted together because of the heat. Most of the hunks that were 1/3 cup in size didn't break up with a little pressure after the product cooled down. There was no choice but to put the ones that didn't break down in the sampling cup next to the keyboard. Most of the chips were stuck to a sister chip. Those pairs are not in danger. For now. The taste and coloration seem to have not been affected by the slight deformation. The chips are softer than a grocery store semisweet chocolate chip. A very smooth consistency. The chips are a little under a half inch in diameter and have a smooth dome top, but are not a point. If you think of a dress shirt button, you'll be close to the size.

👤When I first bought this, the labels were different and the ingredients were different. The gold writing on the canister was amazing. The canister with the dark brown writing that reads Sweet Ground Powder tastes like sugar and a fake coffee creamer. The taste was different. The first time I saw the "Sweet Ground Powder" on Amazon, it was the correct one, it was wonderful. The different one was replaced with the same thing twice. I would like to know if it is counterfeit or if Ghirardelli has changed how they make it. I've attached some pictures. The label is 5 stars but the powder is only one. Does anyone know what the answer is? If you ever happen to read this, and it isn't counterfeit, please change back to the old recipe. I will not buy it again until I see the canister.

👤Absolutely disgusting. The other reviews should have been listened to. I thought I could recreate the white hot chocolate drink from a few years ago. It must be good. The other reviews said it tasted artificial and chemical. It's disgusting. I tried to use it in different ways, but it's the same. It leaves a bad taste. This was a waste of money. The can was still sealed so I didn't complain, even though it was very damaged with the plastic rubber lid off.

👤This is so disgusting that I will say that. It has a subtle taste of white chocolate and is so coarse that it resembles a sugar cane. This is a highway robbery for the amount of money. Please don't spend your money on something that will only cost you a small amount, and just give it a try.

👤I regret buying the Hot White Chocolate. It tastes like fake plastic artificial sugar, and the worst part is that it doesn't taste like white chocolate at all. I wish I had bought the regular one. I've only made the hot white chocolate and it says to add the bean to it. I don't have any. I don't know if adding a bean would make it better. The price is good for the amount you get, but I would rather buy the land and not have to pay as much. Won't be buying again.

👤Absolutely no flavor. It says to add 3 tbsp of hot white chocolate with milk. I almost threw up after doing that. I had to add real white chocolate to taste how it is supposed to be. The second ingredient is creamer. I think this would be fine for people who want to use it as such but not for people who don't drink coffee.

👤The first two orders of these chips were a celebration. Their flavor and bakeability was great. There is a The third order, of two bags, arrived as two bricks. They had melted down and reformed. I told Amazon and they sent replacements. These arrived several days later, and also came as bricks. I went for a replacement and was told they weren't refundable. I continued to call. I was finally told that another replacement would be sent. The replacement arrived in two days. I took the package in immediately as it was hot outside. These chips are usually shiny and easy to melt in your mouth. These chips are the best. But three times, no charm? I'm not insane for four. When it's cold, I would like to order them again. I'm moving somewhere else in the meantime.

👤We drink a lot of red wine and eat this while doing so. In three months, we have finished half of the 2.2 pound bag of chocolate bars. We weighed it. If you want to enjoy chocolate but not consume it too much, then these are for you. You will consume less chocolate than other people. My wife put them in breakfast food. Wow!

👤It's insane to order chocolate chips for delivery during a heat wave. I expected cold insulated packaging. The chocolate inside the bag was molten. I was wondering what would happen when I put it in the fridge. It solidified. I have a huge block of chocolate on my hands. It's not good to make chocolate chip cookies. I was going to package it up and send it back, but I have never tried vegan chocolate, so I was curious about the flavor. I broke off a small piece when I opened the bag. You guys are awesome! It is fire. So good! I would be hard-pressed to differentiate between a foreign dark chocolate and a high quality dark chocolate. It wouldn't be fair to give it a poor rating. I would have given it five stars if it had arrived on time. I recommend you try it if you are on the fence. Wait for the weather to get cold.

I don't know what to do with this. 75% of the package can't be used for chocolate chip cookies. A big disappointment. Interested in what the supplier has to say. I had high expectations. 👤I bought this to make candy, but I have been eating them from the package. They're free of nuts. If you have a nut allergy, it's a big deal. I can't find foods that are made in facility/on shared equipment that also processes tree nuts. Chocolate is the biggest culprit. I had to make most of the sweets myself but some things I had to do without because I couldn't find a decent substitute. I won't have to search for cocoa butter that isn't processed with nuts to make my own white chocolate. If I can stop eating them, I will make my own candy and desserts. I love that these chips are organic because I have multiple chemical sensitivity and my son reacts badly to any artificial colorants/preservatives/flavorings.

👤It's delicious and soy-free. I recently gave up regular chocolate and have been looking for a substitute. Carob is ok but lacking. I decided to give white chocolate another try. This chocolate is also outstanding. The quality of the products that are sent to our homes is maximized by the proper temperature management of the warehouse and the fact that there is no negative effect on the flavor. Again top marks in Kentucky! Very impressed. Extra dark chocolate chunks are perfect for cookies. They also have milk chocolate chips which are amazing.

👤All organic chocolate is expensive, but a good quality product at a decent price. This was fairly priced for what you get. It has a fruity taste to it, but I've noticed that other organic chocolate I've purchased also has a similar taste. Quality chocolate is well packaged.

👤A low oxelate diet can be achieved with delicious white chocolate. Cocoa content in white chocolates makes them high in oxelates. This is wonderful and doesn't cause me any problems. I love it!

👤I use these for baking because they have a great taste and there is no erythritol sugar alcohol added as a sugar substitute. Sugar alcohols can cause an upset stomach and can be used as a form of idiocy. If I ate a single serving of the alternative chocolate chips I would be upset for 3-6 hours. If I ate two cookies, I would have a stomach upset.

👤White chocolate is what I supposedly found when I searched for it. The chocolate has cocoa butter in it, but the white does not. The ingredients on this are soy sugar, palm oil, whole milk powder, nonfat dry milk, palm oil, lecithin and vanilla extract. I was led to believe that it was chocolate, as some of the reviews said it was. Ghirardelli did not call it white chocolate. How to dispose of 6 packages of this white? The purpose of candy making is served by the chocolate.

👤It's hard to find Ghirardelli white chocolate chips. I make it with 2 bags of white chocolate, 15oz bag of small pretzels, 12oz bag of peanuts, and 6 cups of Chex. If you want to add salt to the bowl, cut a small hole in the pretzel bag. Chocolate and oil can be put in a bowl. Microwave for 1 minute. Stir. 30 seconds of microwave. Stir. If it's not completely melted, microwave it for only a few seconds at a time. If your microwave is 1000 watt or more, reduce power to 70%. Spread out on the paper. Enjoy!

👤They are usable for baking, but have been mishandled and stored in a heated warehouse. Poorly packaged. Many were melted together in large chunks and had to be broken apart. Some of them were to be used as topping and look poor for it. It's good for mixing inside cookies.

They wouldn't reimburse me. I'm so upset. I was able to get a refund when I bought this, but this time it says it's not eligible. This product came completely melted, even though I tried to see where it says "no refunds" I can't do anything with this. Terrible! Don't buy unless you want a gilded message. The entire bag was just a blob of melted mess. Terrible.

👤I bought them for my gliders. Some drops are too big for small birds. These fit. The gliders haven't complained that I've never tasted them. It's a lot cheaper than buying a pet treat. 10 gliders in my colony are like them.

👤I never thought of getting melted yogurt chips until I received my order. My suggestion is to buy this product in the winter time or on a cold day, not in the summer or on a hot day. How would you know? I got my yogurt order on a hot day and half of it is melted when I receive my package. I got a whole bag of yogurt chips when I put it in the fridge. I used a hammer to break it. I thought of returning the package, but what if I get another bag of yogurt chips?

👤We were completely disappointed when we opened our package. The product is pure sugar. We could not eat it because it was so sweet. We added it to our frozen yogurt as a topping and then threw it away. We opened the return window on July 18th because I noticed that it was July 17th. Money is thrown down the drain when the deadline is missed. It is not a good product. Way too sweet. I would like to get a refund. I will not recommend this product. Sorry about that.

👤I was excited to get these yogurt chips. I ordered them to use in my mix. There were very few chips when they got to me. Most had become one block. It was difficult to break it up to form chips. They don't ship them in a cool pack and they don't stand up well to heat.
