Best Baking Chocolate Bulk

👤The product was perfect. I was concerned after reading some of the previous posts about non descript packaging and whether it was real or not. It arrived in authentic Callebaut packaging and is the real deal.

👤The Callebaut bag did not have these chocolates in it. They arrived in a clear bag. They look different than the Callebaut chocolates and do not look authentic. This was not good.

👤The Callebaut Belgian brand baking callets are one of the best tasting and workable chocolates I've ever used. The callets melt quickly and are versatile. I have recently purchased the milk chocolate variety and have enjoyed both the semi-sweet and white chocolate flavors. The flavor of these little gems is amazing. If you want to make a dipping sauce for strawberries or for a delicious drinking chocolate, add 1/2 cup of milk chocolate and 1/2 cup of cacao powder to a small sauce pan and cook for a few minutes. Add espresso or milk chocolate callets to make it a mocha, or blend the two flavors to make a mocha. You will find yourself trying to not eat them by the handful.

👤I started cooking French food just before the lock downs started. We couldn't eat out during all of that, so I threw myself into it. I wanted to practice with chocolate. I found myself grabbing a handful of this stuff whenever I was in the kitchen. It was a great snack. I need another bag.

👤It's not a lump or a puddle, it's actually here. The location is relevant in that we are still experiencing daily temperatures in the 98-102F range and the package was on its way from the west coast for a few days and spent most of today on the truck for local delivery. This was in a retail style bag. There are lots of instructions on the bag. It is not the clear plastic bag shown in earlier reviews. I have no doubt that cooling packs helped, but by the time the package got to me, there were 2, they were inside a thermal bubble wrap that was well taped along with the product. There was enough condensation inside the thermal bag to make a puddle. The condensation didn't get inside the bag. July 2020 is the best date on the bag. This is fine for about 10 months. If you can't finish this in 10 months, you're not right. Some of the chips melted together because of the heat. Most of the hunks that were 1/3 cup in size didn't break up with a little pressure after the product cooled down. There was no choice but to put the ones that didn't break down in the sampling cup next to the keyboard. Most of the chips were stuck to a sister chip. Those pairs are not in danger. For now. The taste and coloration seem to have not been affected by the slight deformation. The chips are softer than a grocery store semisweet chocolate chip. A very smooth consistency. The chips are a little under a half inch in diameter and have a smooth dome top, but are not a point. If you think of a dress shirt button, you'll be close to the size.

👤I bought Callebaut's Belgian Dark Couverture Chocolate Semisweet Callets to try out at a Christmas party. I wanted a chocolate with a rich and creamy chocolate flavor, a beautiful sheen, and a firm snap when bitten into. Callebaut's Belgian Dark Couverture Semisweet Callets was great. It is a great chocolate for dipping. I have used it to make chocolate dipped madeleines, dark chocolate eggnog truffles, and dark chocolate peppermint bark. I don't recommend this for baking as it is couverture chocolate, which means it contains a higher percentage of cocoa butter relative to other ingredients, and is ground to a fine texture than eating chocolate. Couverture chocolate is the ideal chocolate for making ganache for chocolates and other fine chocolates. Callebaut's Belgian Dark Couverture Chocolate Semisweet Callets are the best for dipping and tempering. A+

👤I used to go to the cafe for chocolate. I tried to duplicate the taste when I moved. This was the missing ingredient. I use 1/2 cup of non-dairy milk and 1/2 cup of chocolate to make the perfect drinking chocolate. My family doesn't like it, but I love it in winter. It is expensive, but worth it.

It is available on Amazon as "Callets" or "chips". It is nice to not have to break up the 5 kilo block to get it to melt before use. The callets are convenient. There is a This chocolate can be used in many different ways. It was used in candy making to dip fruits. It makes the best ganache and tempers well for a glossy appearance. If you keep these Callets out of the family, midnight smackers will pilfer them.

👤If you want to melt chocolate, don't buy it at the grocery store. These chips are designed for piping. The temperatures are right on the bag. This is the way to experiment with chocolate at home.

👤This is high-quality couverture and it is thicker than expected. The couverture is used for dipping pastries. I need spot-on viscosity so I can cover evenly and consistently. I had no issues with smeling the chocolate, but I only had a small window in which the chocolate was liquid enough to flow. Adding cocoa butter should not be required. I use a lot of Guittard and this brand has a higher viscosity and ranking than other brands.

👤I bought this item from this seller before, but what I received today is not what I received last time. The first order I received had small chips. I was able to get chocolate in every bite even though they were small. The standard size chips I received today are the same ones I already have at the store. I received 2 bags that weighed just over 1lb, less than the 3lb package I was supposed to get. There were two bags that were not sealed that were received today. They were shipped in a box that wasn't right for them. The box was held together with packing tape. I threw the product away due to the health concerns and how it was packaged. I don't want to put something from this seller in my body.

👤I have a recipe for chocolate chip cookies that I created when I started on the Keto diet. I was cutting up the sugar-free candy bars before finding the babies. I tried these on Amazon. They are great! They taste great in cookies. Walmart has them for less than half the price, which is still high but closer to reasonable. They are good. You should try them.

👤If it were a low-fat food, it would have gotten 5 stars. These are delicious. The original ones taste the same. The original ones only have 1 more calories than the sugar free ones. People with diabetes beware. This is not a low-fat food. If you don't want chocolate with a specific number of calories, and just want chocolate that is a bit lower in calories, this is the product for you.

👤This product is not true. People who are on a diet that is low in calories are more likely to go for sugar-free. The product is free of sugar but uses maltitol as a substitute. I was shocked because I had been using this in several recipes, and I realized it was maltitol, which is slightly less in glycemic index than sugar. My blood-sugar went up a lot.

👤It was very disappointing. I ordered four packs of chips for my mom. The package they arrived in had been resealed. Suspicious? Yes, indeed! The four packages were all in one solid chunk. These can't be used as chocolate chips. They must have come from the center of the universe and were melted by the magma in the earth's layers. They tell me they can't be returned. Don't buy these from this vendor. They are useless. I give them a rating of zero.

👤I discovered this at a coffee shop I worked at in 2003 and again in 2004. I discovered it again at a coffee shop that makes amazing iced mochas, after years of not tasting it. I found out that they use Ghirardelli. The mochas are amazing. I recently discovered that I can buy this in 10lb boxes on Amazon, which I'm doing now since it lasts longer than the 48oz can. I make hot chocolate or chocolate milk for my kids whenever I throw this in coffee because they love it. I have to follow the method the coffee shops use, which is to blend this into cold drinks using a blender, or it doesn't mix well. It's delicious when you have foamy chocolate milk. It's a good thing.

👤This is great if you like hot chocolate. More flavor than what you get in the store. It isn't possible to get hot chocolate that isn't in pre-measured pouches in our stores. You can make it stronger if you want. Milk is better than water. The Godiva dark chocolate mix is for serious chocoholics. You can combine them if you are in between. Amazon also carries the Godiva.

👤This is too sweet and you need to mix it with milk which defeats the purpose of a cocoa mix. When you could just boil water in a kettle, who would want to heat milk? It tasted like sugar if I had just put it in my coffee. I think I will get a lot of powdered milk to mix with it. It is still too sweet. I will probably add cocoa powder to it to cut the sweetness. I was trying to avoid purchasing a ready made mix at this point, but I would have been better off making it from scratch. This is the same as nesquick except that it is sweeter. If you want hot cocoa mix, save a few bucks and get Swiss miss, if you want chocolate milk, get nesquick or something. I don't understand the product. It is gross. I would like to give it zero stars.

👤If this review doesn't convince you to avoid NETGEAR, read the reviews from other customers. If you purchase a NETGEAR product after reading those, you will get what you deserve. I thought NETGEAR would be a good choice for an extender and was completely unprepared for the big scam attempt that happened. My goal is to warn people away from NETGEAR at all costs, so I will give 1 star for this device. After 30 years as a Database Specialist, I am tech literate enough to setup a simple device. The setup requires that the extender become aware of your router so that it can extend your signal. The booklet that comes in the box with the device has a page titled 'Connect with Web Browser Setup'. The photo is attached. Step 3 tells you to click on the New Extender Setup button on the page. You are on a page that looks like a NETGEAR page, but there is no new info on the extenders or a support chat. I am amused and surprised at how bad this support is, but not suspicious, until shady tech calls. He tries to trick me into giving him access to my computer by pretending to be a legit tech company. Is that true? He tried to defend his actions after I confronted him. The origin of this transaction was the NETGEAR Quick Start Booklet, so I was not on my guard. I am pretty sure lots of people get hooked on this and see The Sept 2018 1 star review telling the same story. NETGEAR is not a legit tech company as they do not know this is happening. Amazon is responsible for some things. Do you want to avoid NETGEAR products? I tried a number of ways to get in contact with someone at NETGEAR, but it was not possible. I went in circles for over an hour. If you still want to buy NETGEAR, read the 6-14-19 review by Chu, 9-23-18 by Miller, 6-11-19 Monteith, 2-21-19 Hughes or 10-5-18 with 'Beware' in title. One person says that SCAM tech support left them with a non-functional PC.

👤The 2.4g channel has stopped working on all devices after about 9 months of light use. After 90 days, they want you to pay for support, so they only offer complimentary support on this product. I found several posts with the same problem after researching this issue online. The settings are correct after a factory reset and a firmware update. A paid subscription is required to get a return authorization number, which can only be obtained through technical support. This doesn't seem right. I would not buy this product, but I will definitely consider other manufacturers for future purchases.

👤I bought this because I read that it could increase the speed of the internet up to 750 Mbps, and that it could increase the speed of the internet up to 100%. The gem on page 7 of the user manual is that data traffic routed through the extender is inherently slower than traffic routed directly from the network. The results of the speed test with internet service. 156M is down and 42M is up. 122M is down and 41M is up. The range extender is close to half the speed. Total waste of money.

👤I couldn't find anything that looked like a clear expiration date, but what I received had been sitting around for too long, or both. Large chunks of chips were stuck together at least, and giant chunks of solid chocolate were in new shapes, because the chocolate had been partially melted. It's all discolored with white speckles, which indicates age and/or inappropriate storage. Some of it had a weird texture that was not what the solid snap chocolate should have. I needed it for baking and it melted okay, but I wouldn't have shown it to anyone or eaten it straight, it was gross. I'll bake with it and leave the review. Don't use them in something visible or eat them. You could try to bake with them.

👤I had problems with the chocolate chips I ordered. The first issue is that the chips lost their temper and came out of the bag brittle and chalky. I think the chocolate got too hot. I bought these premium chips based on the ingredients listed on Amazon. The ingredients are: Sugar, UNSWEETENED CHOCOLATE, Cocoa Butter, Soy Lecithin. My wife and I have an allergy to dairy. Whole milk powder is on the list of ingredients. It's frustrating to pay top dollar for a premium product and then for it to be adulterated with unlisted ingredients, and your body considers it poisonous.

👤I haven't opened the bags. The contents look like they were either old or melted together and hardened in many sections. I tried to submit a photo for the form, but my browser wouldn't let me do it. I am hesitant to ever use Amazon Fresh Delivery again because these items merit zero stars.

👤The oatmeal treat mix turned out well after being tried out. The dog ate them. I did not try it myself. I think it's good enough. The mix was put in the molds. Put the molds on a cookie sheet and bake them for 15 minutes on one side, then flip them over to let the treats come off the cookie sheet. Cooled off for an hour and gave the dog something to chew on. The molds were easy to clean. I haven't used the cookie cutter yet.

👤I was surprised by everything about the silicone molds. They are easy to use. The cookie cutter is very flimsy, but good for home-cooked cookies. If you want to transport Silicone molds without spilling, place them on a cookie sheet.

👤A great product for making a delicious dessert. 70% chocolate is the healthiest dark chocolate to work with as it is low in sugar and not too bitter. How do you make chocolate? 500 grams of chocolate can be melted in a bain-marie. Once it's melted, add a little more. If you want to make your bark smooth, you can add more or less of the oil, but if you want it to be more crunched, you can cover the almonds. The heat should be turned off. You have cut the paper to the size of two cookie sheets. With a ladle, create six rows of your mixture, leaving space between each row as you will use a small spatula to smooth out each row to create a thin layer. Sea salt can be added to each row of chocolate to heighten the flavors. Place your fridge next to it. The bark should be ready to eat in an hour. Enjoy!

👤Very disappointed. The Callebaut chips looked like rich chocolate in the bag, but they had no flavor. My daily treat is five high cacao, dark chocolate chips. I warm my mouth with a sip of tea and let them melt in my mouth. I usually get a burst of rich chocolate. Not with these chips. It was more like a cheap Easter bunny. They are ok in baking, but I can't wait for them to be gone. I don't think I'll be giving a second chance after the new price.

👤The first two times I bought them, they were perfect: dark, smooth and sweet. I didn't pay attention to which seller I was ordering from until my third order, from Moon Stars Light. I got two bags of hard, waxy, M&M-type candies that had melted and thaw at least once. They are very sweet and very different from what I was expecting. Amazon kindly gave me a gift card to use on another seller, since Moon Stars Light has not responded to my message, which I sent over 48 hours ago.

👤I love chocolate. Especially dark chocolate. Except this. I've been buying different brands of 70% or more cacao because it's supposed to be better for people with high blood pressure. After the first few bites, I won't be eating again. Bland is what comes to mind. I know it's not to be sweet. I know that. The other 70% or even 90% cacao tastes better than this. So disappointed. Will see if the local food bank will take them. They were well packaged. It was great to receive ice packs to deliver in August.

It was hard to stop eating these salted chocolate caramel bars, but even if I ate a bit too much, it didn't matter because it isn't full of sugar. 👤The bars have been decreased in size. They have been 3 ounces and are now 8 ounces. It's not enough for most consumers to notice. The difference is noticeable when the bars are put into an older box. They should include an extra bar in a box of 12. There was no decrease in price.

👤I love Lillys chocolates. My diet of no sugar is wonderful because these chocolates are better than chocolate made with sugar. I called the company because some of my salted caramel bars had too much salt. They sent me coupons to replace the bars that were salted. Their customer service is excellent. I received my coupons in the mail a week later, and now I can replace the bars that are salty. The salted caramel is my favorite. The salted almond milk chocolate is my second favorite. The dark chocolate and the ones with almonds are my favorites. I love their baking chocolate, milk chocolate or Semi sweet chocolate. I am a huge fan of Lillys chocolate. I eat this instead of sugar because I can't eat sugar.

👤I buy about 10K from Amazon every year for various household goods, supplies, food and gifts. I don't have time to write these because it would take forever. I just felt compelled to write a review of these MoFos. They are unbelievable if you make them exactly as directed. I bought a box of 12 expecting them to last a long time, and I've already eaten 4 of them. I mean... I made bars out of two boxes in a 9 x 13 pan. I feel like my money was well spent here because their chefs came up with the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe.

👤I would give a rating of 0 if I could. I've only used Ghirardelli Premium Cookie Mix, Dark Chocolate for several years because the first time I used it, no one could match the quality and taste. My made-from-scratch chocolate chip cookies were not as good. No longer. I bought a case of the mix from Amazon in July of 2021. I used 2 boxes and both times the dough and the baked cookies had a reddish brown look, not the light color as it was in the past and as shown on the box. It lost a lot of flavor because of the color. The other 10 boxes went to the trash. I thought about donating to a food bank, but I don't know why the color flavor changed. I don't know when it went into affect, but on the Amazon website it states it is a new recipe. Unless I find another acceptable mix, I will return to home made.
