👤If you have experience, it's a good clay. I wouldn't recommend this for a beginner because it's very sticky. Smaller items that have a lot of details are the right clay to work with. It wasn't enough to stop the clay from sticking to everything. It works well for mixing with other brands that need to be softened or color mixed. I won't be buying this again. When you get a black clay that turns out to be dark blue or purple, it messes up the whole project, because there is no color label or names to tell you what color you are using. The storage box on the website says that the company doesn't have the product, so you can't look for more information.
👤There is a lot of colors. There are some doubles. I would have thought it would have broken in line segments. Blocks are small but not small, there are a lot of choices. 👤It's too sticky and soft for anything other than play. Blending is almost impossible without crushing your project, and if you need to chop tiny pieces just stick to each other and your blade. It's good for kids to play with but not for artists. Stick with Sculpey.

👤I love and hate this clay. It shapes around things. I like how you can score the pieces and make them stick to each other as if they were solid pieces. It dries much faster than other brands. You get a lot for the price. It is difficult even with a lot of kneading. Unless used as a thick solid piece, it shrinks and cracks. I used wood putty to fill in cracks before painting the things I made. It's kind of grey. I kept that in mind when trying to pick a color. It was almost impossible to mix paint with clay to color it. It depends on what it is being used for and how flexible the user can be.

I am always looking for the perfect mix of dishes and cups to use in my painting and making my own paint. It had to be clay because ceramics was not doable. I'm a cheap blank. I bought this clay. It was the first time. I bought the second one because it works well for me. It softened in your hands with a little kneading. It pats out nicely when it rolls out. It's easy to work with. It dries fast but should cure like the directions say. I use a spray sealant and follow it with a few coats of Mod Podge because the things I make will get wet after it dries. I can make all of the things I want. It's very happy indeed.

👤I will not buy this again. It is soft to work with but the color was overwhelming. I messed up the lighter colors I worked with when I rolled out the black. It doesn't melt in the oven. It cracks when it airs dry. I will throw it away because I am not impressed.

I used sculpey gloss glaze on top of the clay and it came out really cute. It reminds me of the christmas ornament bins we have, which is a cool way to divide up all the used and unused colors and tools, but click them together for safe keeping so they don't dry out. When my son runs out of clay, I will get another one.

My daughter likes to take this kit with her to her friend's house to make beautiful designs. Younger children may need adult assistance if they want to do it all by themselves.

👤I usually use Premo clays. When I ordered a large box of Polyform Sculpey in the white, it was less expensive than Premo clay, and I absolutely loved it. I am glad I tried the black. It is easy to condition and work with. It is much easier to condition than the Premo clays. It is a little harder to get out of some of the smaller molds because it can get super soft, but I love this clay. It's easy to use and it would be a nice soft clay for children to play with. The colors of this black clay are absolutely gorgeous, a completely different look than the white clay. Very happy with the clay. I will definitely buy it again.

👤The piece of clay is small. Very little. It's not enough to make 3 ornaments. I wish I would have gone to Michael's and gotten a bigger piece of clay, since I spent $6.00 on this. Don't put your money in a bag.

It is easy to mistake the degrees Celsius for the Fahrenheit in the instructions, so be sure to set your oven to the right temperature. Despite being expensive, it was a great product.

It's so sticky that you can't flatten clay with the enclosed rolling pin, and the tools all have plastic on the seams that make odd marks in the clay, I had to trim and shape the tools so she could use them. The clay is not great but the color selection is fun and the jewelry bits are nice. She is 8 years old. It was difficult to work with the clay as it was hard to clean it. The clay I've used is different from the clay I've seen at night and day. We used tin foil to bulk up anything larger than doll food, because it bakes ok but stays a bit pliable. I won't be buying again. It's a good way to say that it's harder to work with than playdough.
