Best Baking Containers Storage Set Black

👤This is a good buy and I would buy again. I initially wasn't impressed because the lid sits a little wobbly on top and the handle isn't very comfortable to hold onto. It works great after I started using it. The fine mesh hand held filters are not as fine as the fine mesh ones, so it catches every single solid you could imagine leaving behind. The fat from one package of bacon was less than a tenth of the container. I keep it in the fridge because it will last 6 months on the counter. We use this fat to cook everything. It's much better than steel.

👤I loved the idea of a bacon jar in my fridge, instead of a mason jar. That was a mistake. The LID doesn't stay on, even though it is very attractive and the strainer is great. What happened? The lid fell off when my husband used it. It should have a seal inside the lid, but it is not. tin foil is placed on the top of the refrigerator to stop it from smelling. I give it a 0 for usefulness and a 2 for appearance.

👤$30 is too much. I wanted it. I absolutely love it. I've never seen bacon grease like this before. I like that it's ceramic. It says "grease" on the front, so random kitchen fairies don't clean it. The screen is tightly woven so that the smallest of crumbs won't get through. All who have seen it. The small "pour spout" is a joke, so small it looks like a flaw instead of being put there. I'm very happy with my purchase, and would recommend others to do the same.

👤I bought this in February of 2019. Don't you love it when someone posts a review on something that hasn't had time to put it together? I've had this for two years and while I like the appearance and it is sturdy, there are two flaws that make it a failure. The knob is at the top of the lid. It is too short to have a good grip on. If it gets greasy, it becomes more annoying. I can't remember how many times the lid has slipped from my hand. I've been lucky that the lid hasn't broken when dropped. The filter screen is a problem. It has done a good job, but the manufacturer's glue doesn't last. The screen has become detached from the frame. I will replace it with a different brand because of the issue with the lid.

👤I give this jar four stars because it was pretty and looked good, but it would be nice if they added a handle to it or texture on the outside of it. It becomes slippery if grease gets on the outside and is hard to clean because it is slick and smooth. There was a small amount of grease on the side of it which caused my husband to drop it and it shattered into tiny pieces everywhere. We had it in our kitchen for 2 weeks.

👤Wow! This product has saved my life. I had no pest problem before the storm. I had a lot of ants in my house after the flood waters subsided. They were in everything. I searched the internet for something that would keep my pantry items out. I ordered them on the spot after finding them with great reviews. I called a pest control service and scheduled an appointment to have them come spray my house while I waited for them. These arrived. I put my new sugars and spices in the containers. I had some ice cream and put my bowl in the sink. I woke up to a lot of ants. I was in full panic because our pest control guy wasn't coming until the next day. I couldn't believe I was so stupid. I cleaned my counter again. Everything in my cabinets was untouched when I opened them. The ants did not approach the cabinet. They couldn't smell the sugar. The containers are life saving. If we have flood waters again, I'm no longer worried. They are very easy to use. I am so thankful for the amazing product made by OXO.

👤Love the product. They opened them to find out that the smaller containers didn't seal properly. I wasted a lot of time trying to get Amazon to stand behind the product. I was told to contact the manufacturer. Don't waste your time getting this product, because if it's faulty, Amazon won't stand behind it.

👤I bought these about a month ago to organize my pantry. They look nice and seem to be sturdy, but they are advertised as being air tight. The sugar formed into a brick and the cereals were not fresh after a couple weeks. The freshness of sugar and cereals in their original opened bags is more important than the freshness of these containers. You would expect these to work for $100. The seal is so weak that I can easily pull the lid off after pressing the button. It looks like it might be a fairly common occurrence, but I think mine are malfunctioning.

The new ones don't come apart the same, and my cookies went rancid in under a week. I spent a lot of money expecting the original quality. I am very disappointed. Why Oxo?

👤If you grab them from the top of the container, the lid will come off. The old style of containers have a rounded lid. Your food will become old.

👤It was arrived in a timely manner. Storage containers from OXO are great. The seal works well and protects items. The container size of the brown sugar is the biggest issue with this set. I don't know what bags of brown sugar they are putting in there, but the ones available in my area barely fit, leaving no room or space for the clay piece to keep the brown sugar moist and not hardened. The container should have been half the size of the containers. It should have been like the 2 quart size. This set would have been perfect if not for that.

👤The sticker is not centered on them. It's pretty easy to fix, as a company. I was going to buy these for my clients, but I was disappointed. I tried them out myself and am glad I did. I won't be buying again.

👤I found these labels after several failed attempts at writing out my own, and I am very happy. The labels were supposed to be straight and even as possible from jar to jar. I marked the ruler with blue painters tape at the height I wanted it to be. After marking the jars with painters tape, applying the labels straight on the jar was a breeze. It was worth the extra effort. The labels on the jars were not as thick as I had hoped, and that was my only complaint. The back has something on it. The stickers are already on so I will deal with it.

👤The labels were the cherry on top of my organizing. Being a minimalist I had a hard time believing I would benefit from putting my pantry items into bins. Since I was going to look at storage containers, I thought I would try these labels as well. I lived with the bins for a while before I added the labels, but the organization into the bins made daily life easier. Wow! Adding labels to the containers made the pantry pop. I had to keep reapplying the Sea Salt label as I found the right position. After five reapplications, it still shows no sign of being reapplied. Highly recommended.

👤These are perfect. The finish was centered well. I wish there were more common things like drink mix for nesquick without having to buy the supplemental pack. They don't have a powder for it. I found a way to put the missing things over the stickers I won't use, using my label maker. I think it worked well for my coffee bar ones. I put a label over it because I was obsessive about uniformity and didn't want the fonts to be different, sitting next to the collagen powder and vanilla syrup labels I made.

👤The item is the same as pictured. The labels are simple, but I wish the text was bolder. My pantry bins are all white and I feel like the labels get lost, but my husband knows how to read them and put things in the correct bins. They can be easily pulled off and adjusted without damaging the label or losing the grip. I wish they didn't number them when there were multiple labels of the same thing. The price is a steal.

👤The labels are great for taller jars. If the jar curves at all you're going to have to cut them to smaller so they can lay flat. I ruined the labels. They are having trouble sticking to my attempts to get them to go smoothly. I would like these to come in smaller packages. The basics were what I needed. I used 7 of the whole package and a few I needed weren't there like raw sugar.

👤After taking the lid off, my grease was covered in paint and I have added bacon grease to this can 3 times. The paint chip off of this thing renders it useless because it gets into the bacon grease. Very disappointed! Will look for a ceramic one elsewhere.

👤It fits our needs. It's great to use leftover bacon fat in our recipes. The strainer is nice to grab the pieces. It's a great size for easy storage. This is very easy to use. A large mouth can easily pour bacon grease out of a pan.

👤This is the first item I have reviewed on Amazon. I am glad I didn't read the negative reviews, I would have bought it. The weight of it is similar to the tin cups we used to use at the well. Even though some reviewers said the lid didn't fit, you wouldn't want it air tight as bacon grease would go rancid. It has the look that I had hoped for. I am very happy with my purchase.

👤The design and size of this container are wonderful. It holds 2.5 cups of grease. It doesn't take up a lot of space in the refrigerator or the counter. The old-fashioned lettering on the white enamel gives a country touch. The knob on the lid is small in diameter and height, which is a small design flaw. The knob is so thick that it is not possible to lift it with your fingers. You need to grab the sides of the lid to lift it. This is the reason I didn't give this container 5 stars.

👤I threw out my husband's bacon grease keeper because he didn't strain the grease and the little bits made me cringe. I'm pretty sure it was rancid in the fridge after a couple of years because he didn't use it often. I decided to keep strained bacon grease in the fridge because I was on a diet. This little bacon grease keeper is adorable. I can keep a nice amount of bacon grease, but not so much that we'll have gallons lying around going rancid. The strainer is sturdy and easy to wash after use. The design is perfect for my kitchen. I would love to keep it on the counter, but I'm worried about food-borne illnesses. It is next to the eggs in the fridge. I took off the first start because it seemed overpriced. It's very light and the lid doesn't seal. I am glad I bought it, but half the price would have been more reasonable.

👤The cup is strong. The strainer and lid fit. The original box was put inside a bubble wrap package. The box was busted open and there was nothing left in it, which resulted in large chunks of the precious metal being ripped off and inside the bubble wrap. The pieces were too big and the edges of the cup were not sharp enough to call them character. I know that the bowls and pans that I use frequently must have been hit very hard in the package to cause this damage. I will be asking for a replacement because the strainer is a nice size, good quality, and will last a long time. I don't want to get cut by it.

👤The counter top size of these 1.5 gallon sized jars is perfect. There are two smaller jars in the picture. They are made of thick glass. I have finally found a jar that is small and large. They look great on the counter.

👤Great jar! I bought this jar to hold a large box of OxiClean. I was struggling to figure out what size container I needed. The box is about 8 inches in diameter. The 1.5 gallon jar was perfect. The glass is thick. The lid doesn't have a finished edge, but it doesn't seem like it's a problem.

👤This sucker is huge. It's perfect! It was in a box that had inserts that prevented the jar from moving inside. The smaller box was put into a bigger box so that it wouldn't move the 2 inches of room it had inside. It was well taped. My item was intact and not broken. Now about the product. The 1.5 gallon jar was the one I used to put my Tide Pods inside. I'm in the process of remodeling my laundry room and I have a farmhouse theme going on, I'm like 10 years late to the game, I know. I was able to fit 96 Pods from one Tide container and about 25 from another almost empty Tide container. It was a cool bounce, but it was a Minus one that bounced out and behind my dryer. They fit so that you can figure out how many Tide Pods this sucker can hold. The jar is heavy so make sure it's sturdy. I'm worried about my current sitch, but it will hopefully make it another week until we get the new shelves up. You can feel a seal with the lid on. It doesn't just lie on the jar. Even with 120 Pods. There were a couple bubbles in the glass. It doesn't bother me that it might be like 5. It seems like thick glass. It's perfect for what I need. I think it's a great idea for Pods. If you buy less than 40, 72, or 72 ounces of Pod, you can now. The 1.5 gallon is too large for me to downsize. I think the 72 Pods would fit in the 1 gallon, but that's just a guess, based on 120 Pods in the 1.5 gallon. Go for it! Don't judge my shelf.

👤The distributor doesn't know how to package glass. I didn't open the box because I was afraid my children would be hurt by the shards of glass that came out. My husband thought I had ordered a Lego set since all he could hear when he moved the box was the sound of a million tiny pieces tumbling around. There was no time to wait for a replacement because this was part of the house warming present. I wouldn't trust the distributor or Anchor Hocking to deliver any subsequent shipment safely given the condition of the first shipment. I am not pleased, but thanks for the effort.

👤These are best used for rock climbers, blacksmiths, full-time oyster shuckers, or people with high finger strength. The size variation in the lids results in some fitting snug and others fitting tight. The design of the seal makes it easier to put the lid on than it is to take it off, so you will only know for sure once the lid is permanently affixed to the jar.

👤I absolutely love them. I wanted something large enough to hold my flours. They were well packaged and came with grey rubber bottoms. I decided to use the bottoms because I am sitting them in my corner kitchen lazy cabinet to keep them from sliding when using the cabinet. I have ordered a few more jars and will be adding them to my pantry. The lids fit well and even sound like they're very strong when closed.

👤I love these jars and don't be fooled by the three star review. I broke one of my older ones today while trying to get the lid off, even though I received a second order for them. The rest of the jar is intact, and a couple of large pieces of glass. Please let me know if anyone has a way of breaking the vacuum seal without breaking the jar. The seal is very tight and can't be loosened by hand. They used to make tee-shaped openers that were half an inch wide and fit under the lid. I haven't seen anything like that in over sixty years. These jars are attractive. They are easy to clean. I'm very happy to have them in my kitchen, but I wish the manufacturer included one of those old-fashioned pickle jar openers in the box with the jars. This would have been a five-star review if the jar hadn't broken. The borosilicate glass is strong enough to resist shattering.

👤I filled this item with herbs that I use on a regular basis and have in large amounts. I didn't hold as much as I wanted but that's my fault The spoon had a chip on it and was broken. They are beautiful, but haven't figured out where to store them. I want them to be seen. I used my own labels as none of them matched what I needed, even though they came with pre-printed labels. I will report later if they hold the freshness of the dried herbs I put in them. The first time we tried to remove the lids, we wanted a good seal. The bottoms have rubber stoppers that keep them from sliding. Thank you.

👤I wanted to store both white and whole wheat flour in these. I'm happy with them. We have had a problem with cupboard moths and they seem to seal tight enough that they shouldn't get in. I have arthritis in my hands and wrists, but it does not affect the lids. They are glass, so don't expect them to take a knock like plastic, but they won't crack with age.

👤The canisters are very thin and fragile. The item arrived quickly and looked great. One of the canisters on my counter top was lightly grabbed. The canister shattered when bumped as one would with normal use. There were chia seeds everywhere and a glass well. These aren't necessarily cheap, so I expected better quality. I wouldn't recommend it. I will be looking for an alternative set of canisters because I think the others will eventually shatter as well.

I don't have children in my home so that might be something to think about. The lid is tight. My labels look great on them. When you close them, you can feel the force of it. They are not as big as you think. Only one of the jars can hold a bag of cereals. The others are small. I just use them for small things. 👤These are wonderful! It's beautiful, simple and surprisingly sturdy. It's packaged soo. You will make two trips to the recycling bin. My cabinet is beautiful, no longer chaotic evil. If you pull the Trigger, you should buy these and corresponding spice jars. There are lil labels and chalk pen. Not that farmhouse stuff has minimalist labels. I cook several times a day. They have stood up to my clumsiness. Several months later, not a single broken jar. I bought more. Make your kitchen beautiful with these!

👤Do not purchase them for food storage. The canisters are not airtight. I purchased this set along with several individual pieces for my different organic flours, sugars, baking soda, baking powder, chocolate chips and other baking ingredients in July of 2017, I am an avid baker and cook and purchased this set along with several individual pieces for my different organic flours, sugars I have never heard of pantry moths before, but I was horrified to discover that a bag of rice I bought from WalMart was contaminated with them, which has had a devastating effect on my pantry. I was horrified to find that the moths and their cocoons were inside of every canister I threw away. It's not like one seal failed; every one of them was upheld. The containers were thrown away with the contents. I don't think it's smart to waste money on containers and food by relying on their claims. I will test their claims this time, because I'm looking for airtight storage containers. This lesson was very expensive and I won't repeat it.

👤After washing the brown sugar prokeeper and letting the clay disc soak in water as directions stated, I tried to install it back into the lid where it goes for storage and one of the little prongs that holds it in. A representative of the company was supposed to call me back. The receptionist told me that the storage wasn't necessary because I could put the clay disc in the brown sugar. That may be fine, but why is it on there and I don't expect it to break before I get to put the brown sugar in it! They were not willing to compensate me in anyway, which I felt was unfair, and my only other option was return, which of course is a hassle for me, it didn't seem like Progressive International cared in the least! Their customer service is not good.

👤These are not bad. They are overpriced for what they are, and the photos are not accurate about the sizes. The largest one for flour is only wide enough to fit a 1C measuring cup inside. See the photo for the scale. They do what they say they will, but they are too expensive. I would really like to have more in my pantry, but it isn't worth the extra money.

👤I've been looking for kitchen canisters for a while and this is the first set that I've found that is sleek and modern. The canister was designed to hold what it was intended to hold. I have not had any issues with this container, it holds the average supermarket bag of flour and has a leveling bar. The brown sugar container has a terra cotta disc that is supposed to help keep the sugar soft, but it was hard to use the first time I used it, but the container is still great. The way the lid is made it hard to close the spout lid and make the top dirty. The container has a leveling bar and a spoon for dusting cakes. I haven't found a use for the 2 small containers yet, but they both have the same strength as the larger ones and they have a leveler insert.

👤I have thrown out 4 of the 12 that I bought to hold my glitter. On the first use, the lid on the 'pour' side snapped off. I have to order another set from a different company because the price is great. Half of the lids are not sealed. I wouldn't recommend this item to anyone. It was a waste of money. I tried to figure out how to contact them. I didn't find any contact info.

👤The tall and skinny ones would take less space on my shelves. I wish I hadn't bought them. Many of the lids can't close properly. I need to close my glitter container. I have lost a lot of glitter. I have over 300 glitters and they cost between $6-13 dollars each. Losing my glitter is costly and can be expensive. If you intend to use these for spices, make sure that your lid flap is flush into the lid, otherwise you will be letting humidity into the shaker with your spices. The spices will not stay fresh and the aromas will carry from one Spice to the next. Do you want your spices to smell like curry or cinnamon? I could recommend these if the lids were manufactured correctly.

👤I bought this Spice Holders a while back and it works well. Since the glass jars are heavier, I decided to buy the plastic ones. The item's cap color is black, so it matches my kitchen's color better. You can see that it's neat now. I bought some chalk markers from Daiso. I should work on the bottom jars to match them better.

👤These bottles are great for storing and giving out my spices. The bottle is large and has a lot of spices in it. The spoon side is on the cap. The amount of spice that it gives out is not overwhelming when used at the table or for finishing off dishes, because there are only 3 holes in the side. These are very useful and affordable. 👤I usually order from a different vendor than Amazon, but the vendor raised prices so high that I searched for an alternative. I use the bottles for glitter to make tumblers. I haven't stored any yet, but I think these are very well made. Heavy work. Nice design. It was sleek. I am very impressed. I will update with pictures once I use them.

👤I bought these for someone and they were what they wanted. One side has a large opening while the other side has smaller holes. The person I bought them for doesn't mind that the holes are not as small as I wanted them to be. I don't think there will be any problems with the containers.
