Best Baking Containers Storage Set Flour

👤Excellent quality for the price. They hold a bag of flour, a bag of sugar, and a pound of coffee grounds. I don't like that the lids can be hard to seal, but my husband got them to work so they are working well. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend them. I've included photos of the canisters so you can see how big they are and see if they hold what they say they will.

👤These are gorgeous! Each was wrapped in bubble wrap. I was very happy to receive them. You also get a set of measuring cups. I didn't use two of them inside the cannisters as they are large for scooping in the smaller ones. I didn't know how tall the largest canister would be. My pantry shelves have a lower clearance than most, so I would recommend to measure the area you intend to have the cans in before hand. If they don't find vertically, the lids fit nicely and there will be no problems laying them on their sides.

I ordered the set to be used in my camper. I needed a sealed set for pests. This set is lovely to look at and it meets my needs. I like being able to see the contents through the glass lid. 👤I was very excited to get this set. The metal trim on the second top was not pressed correctly and there was a dent on the handle. I thought so. I'll get a new part. As I continued to unbox, the top was so tight that it wouldn't stay down, just kept popping off, and the top was so loose that it clanked. I was so happy to find this set, but now I'm disappointed. To the drawing board again.

👤I was looking for something to store staple items with an air tight seal, but more elegant and modern sophisticated, that was also highly rated and didn't want to spend a fortune. These fit the bill. They were even more beautiful in person than in the photos. I like that they come with measuring scoops. The contemporary/transitional design is very good quality. Normally, I would keep these in my pantry, but I decided to leave them out and show them off because they are so beautiful. The sizes in the ad were clearly marked. I was careful to choose the right size. I recommend that you double check the sizes so that you are not unhappy with your purchase, as many of the negative reviews were related to size complaints. I would buy this set again.

👤Updating my kitchen and canisters was a good start. The canisters in this set are small, but they are tall. Tall canisters are good because you get the same volume as other sets but with a smaller footprint. I received 5 of the gaskets with my set, so I will have a spare should one of them be damaged. The lids are interchangeable.

There are no 12.2 inch containers. The dimensions of the box hold the containers. A q-tip, silverware, a paper plate, and a box of cereals are all pretty useless for storage. They were cheap and a misrepresentation. The plastic brand lock and lock has a capacity of 20 fluid ounces.

👤I have a baking cabinet that I love to use. I don't put my baking supplies in my pantry, so the size of the containers I need matter. These are the perfect size for the small packages that take up a lot of space in the cupboard, I always have a lot of those from the raisins, poppy seeds, specialty sugars, leftover nuts, cranberries, etc. I bought larger containers for flours and sugars, but they didn't fit in my cupboard because they were side by side. I needed the smaller ones for my small baking items because they took up too much room. I wish I had a picture of my baking cabinet, it looks a lot more put together than it did before. I didn't take into account the fact that the top of the lid is wider than the bottom of the container when looking for storage containers. I was not able to put the larger and medium containers two deep, and that made me want to put them in these containers, which now allow me to stack depth wise with my other containers. The medium containers wouldn't fit with the larger ones for my pantry items. Win! I ordered another set of containers because I still have items that need to be in containers to keep their freshness longer. I put these in the dishwasher the day I received them, and they did great. I didn't use them in the fridge, freezer, or microwave. I can't comment on that. I bought them for dry goods and am very happy.

👤The set of 7 containers is a good value for those who want to store small quantities of specialty baking items. The seven containers have all seven of the lids on them. This was important to me, and it's part of what I find most useful about this set. All of the same size, the lids are about the size of an old-fashioned index card. The clips make the dimensions seem bigger, and these will take up more cabinet space due to the sturdy, but bulky, clips. These clips make it easy to open them even for people with arthritis in their hands or fingers. Some of the plastic containers' lids are difficult to open. The tallest canister is a good size for specialty flour, like those by Bob's Red Mill, or a bag of coconut flakes or powdered sugar. This is a 1 pound bag, not the full size multi-pound bag that many Americans buy white/wheat flour or sugar in. The half height canister held my baking soda. It is very similar to the Arm & Hammer box. Cocoa powder could fit in this size. The boxes are small. I often have small quantities of specialty flours in my fridge and open pantry. The pile of tea bags is longer than the smallest one, which is about the height of four or five stacked tea bags. I had a bag of chocolate chips. One of the smallest containers was where that went. I'm including a photo that shows that one next to a standard coffee mug; it's about half as tall as the mug.

I bought the bigger container so that I can fit the whole family bag from the store. My pantry is more organized and my food stays fresh longer. 👤The cereals storage containers hold an entire box of cereals. I was impressed by that. The canisters are small and don't take a lot of space. They stack on top of each other. I purchased two sets of the matching containers, which I highly recommend. These are easy to clean and open when you need them. These are definitely worth the investment.

👤The deceiving pictures show these are not clear. The butt to clean is a pain. The water stays in the seal after you wash the top part. The seal can't be removed from the lid and put back in. It is full of water. Don't waste your money.

👤The opening that you pour from is an issue for me. It is a circle so it doesn't line up nicely with the edge of the container which causes cereals to not pour out smoothly and it's nearly impossible to get out. The rubber seal makes it difficult to brush it back into the container. The last part of a bag of cereals won't come out of the container if the opening is a circle because the container is squared. The circle opening is small so you can't grab a lot of food.

The spoons are not fit for use. To close the lids, you have to hold them down. Not sure what containers to use. I do not recommend.

👤I have mixed feelings about these canisters. It's not up to par with their standards. I liked the size of these. They are being used to keep speciality coffees in. These are smaller in size than kitchen canisters. They are perfect for a bag of coffee beans. While. I went with the name brand because I wanted to make sure the canisters met US standards for food safety, and since all of them were made in China, I decided to go with the name brand. I know these are legit because they are a direct Amazon.com product. The ceramic was smooth, there were no air pockets or bubbles, and the bottom was smooth so as to not damage stone countertops. Seals look to be tight when closed. The metal wire around the lid and neck is strong and durable, but the metal part you "flip" up to unhook from the lid is cheap. They are not easy to open, you have to work it out. I knocked a star off. My kitchen and pantry are plastic-free, and I use a lot of jars with hinged lids, but they are not up to the standard of a normal hinged lid. Why don't you keep them? I need something that looks good enough to sit out on my coffee bar and these do the trick. Three negatives were made in China. What isn't these days? Only hand wash. I like to wash my food in the dishwasher before storing it. There was no hot water or a good dish soap that could fix it. Imho... The packaging of these could be better. There are two boxes in one box and two boxes in a bigger box. There is one square piece of styrofoam in between the two canisters that are stacked on top of each other. There was no other packaging. It's clear what the contents of the box were because Amazon didn't use packing paper. I'm surprised they didn't get damaged. I will say that the reviewer was correct in her complaint about the box damaging her table. The flimsy boxes had holes from the hinges. If you're not careful, tables, countertops, and furniture can be damaged by metal.

👤I decided to put everything in glass containers after I got pantry moths from a bag of nuts. I compared different brands and found these. I decided to try them. I am glad I did. This product is well made, has thick glass, and is very well packaged. You can see how tight it is by looking at the lid. I tested it with liquid and it did not leak. I bought 2 more sets and plan to buy more.

Our plastic set has a metal tab that is half an inch away from the container. It is very easy to close and open. This glass set should have the same. The Macgyver option is being investigated to remedy this.

I got them within a day of purchase, but when I tried to clean one of the containers it was completely useless because it had fractured on the bottom. The containers broke when I tried to put the lid on them. The container split into six pieces when I tried to close it. It had a lid. The lid was fake. The containers are not air tight. You're going to spend more money replacing the food the glass breaks into than you will just getting a better model.

I had a set of Oggi canisters that I purchased last year but couldn't find the same ones, so I tried them out. The quality is the same. The sizes are large enough to hold a variety of foods. I keep tea bags fresh, flour, baking mix, brown/confectioners/regular sugar, jelly beans, flax meal, almond meal, and so far everything has held up really well. They are built to last. They are made from acrylic. I'm going to spend more. I'm sure I'll find use for the rest of the set, even though I still need one for my rice and chocolates. I bought a set of easy peel chalkboard stickers to label these and placed them on rustic looking shelves, so they're a statement piece as well.

I have a box of breakfast cereals which I would like to put in the largest container, which is 65 ounces. I would need at least two canisters to hold all the cereals. A 65 ounce bit of gold would be lost in any of the canisters. Please give the dimensions in cups. The canisters should be air tight and the contents should be the best for them. Soft items are crisp and there are no bugs. Being able to see the contents is nice.

👤I love this set of canisters. I try to keep everything old fashioned because I have a 106 year old home. I have a small kitchen. If you don't want a liner bag in them, they are food grade metal. After washing my bags, I put them directly in the tins. The seal gasket on the neck of the canister makes it air tight. People are complaining about the gasket coming off in other reviews. Put it back on and keep going! It's pretty simple. I would buy this set again.

I used a chalk stickie to change my labels, not how they come, and added an updated photo with their lids. happy now

👤These are gorgeous. Only one flaw. My rating of 4 stars and not 5 is because that canister does not seal well. If you are only buying for looks, you will not have any problems. The shade of white is unique. It was on the cooler side of white. The lettering is light gray. I was happy with the purchase, but not the loose lid. The canisters/lids had no damage.

👤After reading the reviews, I was unsure if I wanted to take a chance, but I did. They were nestled in each other with bubble rap. I did not have a mark on them. The lid is tight and the picture of flour in it is better than me holding it up. I don't think you will be disappointed with them if you take a chance like me. I was hoping for a off white or cream.

Since the rubber seal at the top of each canister doesn't provide an air-tight seal, food should be placed in a food-safe storage bag before being put in the canister. It's difficult to find a set that is both air-tight and food safe. Very pleased with how they look outside.

👤Same day return! They didn't send me the sugar lid, but after further inspection. The seal is not permanently attached to the canister. The kids were difficult to remove and the top grip on the lid would start to come off when I took the lid off. I use sugar, flour and coffee on a daily basis. I put them back up. 👤The containers are made of a heavy plastic that does not smell, and the size is nice. The pack I received had one lid missing and one broken, and I think that the durability is going to be poor. If I barely touch the lid flaps, they come undone. I plan to put a lot of flour or sugar in the smaller containers, but if the lid is not properly secured, it will be a disaster when I lift the container off the shelf. They do not stack well because they do not lock in their position atop the other containers, so they can slide off of the container that is underneath. If that makes sense, I have other brands that stack and stay in position. I will be returning the set and ordering something else.

👤The small containers that I bought won't close on the 4dets that I purchased because the top lid on the cereal came out. There is a need to use rubber bands. There are two small ones in each set that I bought. I am disappointed that I am finding the exact ones for less. The price went up as soon as I gave my review. Guess that is how it works. They kept them all. The large ones look nice. I will get them at the 99 cents only stores where my friend bought me smaller rectangular sizes.

👤It was exactly what I needed. After years of eating it, one would think they would know how to clip the bags up. We end up with a lot of wasted cereals because they don't pay attention. Well, no more! These are perfect. The others don't have the pour spout because they aren't air tight. There is a lock on all of the sides. It's tight enough to keep it bug free but not tight enough that the kids can't get into them. They were packaged well and on time. I can see many other uses for the cereals, so I might buy another set. They are great for dry storage. My kids left the solo cups in them instead of using the measuring cups that came with them. I will probably look for scoopers to stay.

I was horrified to find that the moths and their cocoons were inside of every canister I threw away. It's not like one seal failed; every one of them was upheld. The containers were thrown away with the contents. I don't think it's smart to waste money on containers and food by relying on their claims. I will test their claims this time, because I'm looking for airtight storage containers. This lesson was very expensive and I won't repeat it.

👤After washing the brown sugar prokeeper and letting the clay disc soak in water as directions stated, I tried to install it back into the lid where it goes for storage and one of the little prongs that holds it in. A representative of the company was supposed to call me back. The receptionist told me that the storage wasn't necessary because I could put the clay disc in the brown sugar. That may be fine, but why is it on there and I don't expect it to break before I get to put the brown sugar in it! They were not willing to compensate me in anyway, which I felt was unfair, and my only other option was return, which of course is a hassle for me, it didn't seem like Progressive International cared in the least! Their customer service is not good.

👤These are not bad. They are overpriced for what they are, and the photos are not accurate about the sizes. The largest one for flour is only wide enough to fit a 1C measuring cup inside. See the photo for the scale. They do what they say they will, but they are too expensive. I would really like to have more in my pantry, but it isn't worth the extra money.

👤I've been looking for kitchen canisters for a while and this is the first set that I've found that is sleek and modern. The canister was designed to hold what it was intended to hold. I have not had any issues with this container, it holds the average supermarket bag of flour and has a leveling bar. The brown sugar container has a terra cotta disc that is supposed to help keep the sugar soft, but it was hard to use the first time I used it, but the container is still great. The way the lid is made it hard to close the spout lid and make the top dirty. The container has a leveling bar and a spoon for dusting cakes. I haven't found a use for the 2 small containers yet, but they both have the same strength as the larger ones and they have a leveler insert.
