👤The chrome version was received by some and the black version by others. Here's a heads up. The black version is just a cooling rack and not meant to be used for cooking. It only has 4 legs and the surface is magnetic, so it does not do well in heat. The chrome version is meant to go into the oven, but it is not non-stick like the black one. Don't confuse the two. Half of the reviewers said that the chrome one stuck food, while the other half said the black one peeled off after several uses in the oven. I was hoping to get the chrome version, but it seemed like there was a chance to get both. I got the black one. The grill goes all the way across and welded to the frame with only four legs, but it is not stable. A 500g cake sitting in the middle. It's only meant for cookies and muffins and not a big dense cake. The center of the cake sagged and it ended up flexing and cracking as it wasn't sitting on the rack. No thanks... Its going back.

👤The sheets were bent/uneven and there was no way to clean them. It means that these racks can be used for cooling baked goods and cooking meats. The meats and oils will stick to the struts and Every because the racks are not coated with anything. Single. Crevice. I have made bacon on them in the oven three times and the cleaning process is long and difficult. A toothbrush scrubber or grill brush is needed. The feet for all three of the racks will not sit evenly and the only way to bend the sheet is to hit all four of them at the same time. The first time I used the sheets for cookies, I almost catapulted one onto the floor when the sheet tipped. The overall impression was 3 stars. You get what you pay for. I will buy a non-stick coating sheet for my meats/grilling next time around and keep these for cooling purposes only.

👤These are nice. They are used for cooling and baking. Baking is the challenge. The bars are all parallel, so they are easy to clean, and the gauge of wire is nice. The design of my old rack made it hard to keep the meat or skin intact and it also made them hard to clean. I use the large one to bake chicken thighs and other items that I want to spread out in my pan. I have not used them under the heat, but I expect them to be fine. This set of racks is a great value.

I put it in the dishwasher to see if it would rust if it was plated steel. It did. The spots of rust were very small, but the rack would not have rusted after being washed in a dishwasher. The picture shows a spot where the plating had been removed. I believe the rack had some small scratches on the wires when I received it. The rust spots are small now, but I would expect more after use. I wonder if it is made of materials that are safe for food contact. There is a layer of copper between the steel of the wires and the outer plating. The product is rated 1 star because of false advertising. I would give it 4 stars if the rack were made of steel. I like the close wire spacing and it fits my half sheet pan very nicely. The support wires were bent out of shape when I got it. It's not clear if that was due to manufacturing tolerances or shipping. I was able to do it myself.

I use the ones from wilton with less space in the middle that are stackable andremovable without hassle. It's really good for pies, but this Betty crocker is cumbersome and time consuming to put together in the middle of your cupcake or cookie baking.

You have to wait for the cookies to cool a bit before you transfer them to this rack, but by that time they are cooled enough to not need a cooling rack. It would be one more thing to clean.

I found a way to assemble this difficult item after a lot of research. I was not the only one who experienced this and luckily there were some kind souls who posted the instructions on how to assemble this item. I have a local baking store that sells better cooling racks that are easy to assemble, sturdy, and have clear cut instructions. The shelving is not strong because it was warped upon receipt. I'm disappointed that my off brand baking racks are not as good as they could be. Absolutely disappointment.

👤I like to make my own bread and pizza. Pizza needs to cool on a rack. This is perfect. It is a single rack. I would only need to hold 2 pizzas if you open it up. Very nice. The bread is exceptional. I usually make up a bunch of dough. I have two hot pans and two pitas. They need to go on a rack after they come off the pan. In the past I tried to use an oven rack, but ran out of room, so each Pita cooks for about 3 - 4 minutes, far shorter than the amount of time needed to dry them. It was difficult to fit all the pitas onto the oven rack. It worked, but it was a mistake. I put a couple on the bottom layer, then a couple on the next layer, and two more on the top layer. Three layers hold all the pitas. When the cooking is done, I give 15 - 20 minutes more cooling, then all the pitas can go into a bag and into the freezer. It was perfect. The bag doesn't get a lot of ice, the pitas don't freeze up hard, and it's just right. If you make your own Pita, you'll know that it's not safe to eat for 2 days because it's been made with Preservatives. It is important that the pitas are dry before they are frozen. This is the right rack for this. If you want to increase the recipe to 24 pitas, you can do 12 on the rack and then replace the old ones with the new ones by the time you are ready to do 13 and 14. You can make as many pitas as you want without having to store more rack space. For most home makers, 12 is enough. I can use it as a single layer for pizza. It's perfect for anything that needs to be cooled down. Price was correct. It is made in China. Good luck finding anything like this. The U.S. manufacturers couldn't compete and so they set up Chinese factories. American labor is more expensive. If you want to let the Chinese take the extreme low wages for manufacturing jobs, think about getting an education and doing the smart work. I worked in manufacturing for a while. It makes you hate yourself. Let them do it.

👤One use and coating on the grid is peeling off. Not non-stick. It's not easy to clean. I don't want to eat non-stick coating. Don't waste your money on junk.

👤I have been buying Wilson products for years and years. I received these cooling sandals. It was likely that someone had placed it. Something heavy is on the box. It was mangled on one end. I couldn't open the apartment when it was open. I worked. And worked. They wouldn't come a part. Finally, they did. They weren't level and were very sickly. I would like to say that they were undamaged before they were damaged. I don't think so. I bought another set at the same time and had no issues with them. At the very least. SORRY. That is. 👤I love this brand. When it arrived, I loved it. I used it to make a pizza. The pan was in the oven. I was surprised. This isn't important for a pizza. If you were baking, your batter would flow over. I wanted to exchange the pan that I had for two weeks. It was difficult because of Amazon. I didn't have the box in which it arrived. I wasn't going to look for a half sheet box to return the product. I just print out a slip and drop the product off at a facility. I threw out the pan because it was not an option. It was sad that it didn't work out and that a replacement was hard.

👤It was fine for a couple of weeks. Other reviewers have had issues with warping, but I have not. It is impossible to keep clean. The micro-grooves make them fit into channels which can only be cleaned one at a time with the corner of a rag or brush, and they serve as perfect spots for oils and grease to pool and bake on. You end up cleaning the pan one square inch at a time. You're left with a non-stick surface over the raised 50% of the pan and the other 50% of the pan has burnt oil in it, which sticks like hell. I stick a silicone baking mat in it for anyone who has already purchased it. For everyone else, I suggest you look elsewhere. If you can find the cheapest pan, you can buy the mats. They are easy to clean.

The fat from the chicken helps crisp the potatoes. The chicken and potatoes are not greasy from resting in its own fat. The skin is crisp all the way around.
