👤This was a lot of fun to use. It's nice to have all three colors, but not in one bag. I was able to make a full pipe. Add icing to the bags near the end of the cake in about 15 minutes. The plastic bag should not cover the grooves and notch that are meant to interlock when you cut the bag at the right point. I will definitely use this again.

👤I am a complete novice in baking and this was my first attempt at cupcake decorating. Read the instructions. It seems rediculous to say that. I would have had a harder time if I had known how to assemble this. Be patient and don't overfill your bags. I used a fourth bag to hold the filled bags in place. It was easy once I had everything in its place. The cupcakes turned out better than I anticipated.

👤This product worked well for me. I ordered this product after reading the reviews because I wanted to make a tie dye themed cupcake for my son's birthday party. I had never piped frosting before, but the result was adorable. The set up does take some time. Make sure to couple the bags together. I had a small hiccup when I had to re-load some frosting into the bags halfway through and that created some air bubbles, but nothing was going to stop me. I will be using this again.

👤I was one of the people who had trouble with these. I couldn't get my bags to line up and lock together after I filled them. I just read an update that says the pieces are not the same and that they need to match the larger tab with the larger slot. I am going to try it again with some store bought frosting. I love the tri-color look and I'm hoping for better results. I did a practice run using canned frosting from the store, and I was able to get the bags on, lined up, and put the tip on, but I had to use Scotch tape to hold them together. I got it together after a few tries. The icing was room temp and too soft. I feel more confident using my homemade buttercream frosting now that I know I can get the whole assembly together. The first two attempts used up all the bags that came with the kit, so I'll have to pick up more.

👤2.5 stars. I'm lazy and I thought. I can do more than one color without stripping. One click! I've used it twice and both times I ended up with the biggest hand cramp. The frosting goes out of the top with the empty coupler. I didn't read the instructions to see if I did something wrong. I need to put the bag in with the coupler to do two colors. I think the results are pretty. A lot of work for the same results. I found it easy to use, but my hand hurts like a mother.

If you're looking for a kit that will get you going in the right direction without spending a ton of money, this is the one for you. It has everything you need to make your cakes look amazing even for beginners, and it has over a dozen decorating tips. It comes with a cake knife, spatula, many icing bags and even a round Silicone cake ball maker. I am sure there are many other things you could add to this kit, but for now it will get you going. The only flaw I found was that the carrier didn't close properly. You can see in the picture that it bulges out where it shouldn't, but once you play with it you can get it to open. It's a pretty good kit.

👤This kit is a good value and comes with a lot. It's perfect for beginners. Everything comes in a carrying case and has storage for it. The metal tips, Silicone items, spatula, spread knife are all great quality! We probably won't use the cheaply made plastic pieces. I thought it was odd to include both high quality and low quality items in the same set. I think I would have preferred not to have the low quality items in the set.

👤I had to laugh when I saw the bright pink box, as a middle-aged male baker. That is alright. I'm very excited to get it. The main reason I requested it was to get some cake decorating tips. The piping bags are small but the tips look great and the sheet that shows you what each one looks like is amazing. The kit has items I have never used before, such as flower nails and chocolate bomb mold. Baking cups, cookie cutters, cake flower lifter, spatula, piping pen, scrapers and cleaning brush are other items. The box that holds everything is a three tiered box that can be opened. A nice gift!

This is an awesome bargain because I have a lot of the tools included in the kit and have a lot of money invested. For a home baker, the tools themselves are not professional quality, but they will suffice and give you the results you are looking for.

👤This is a great set for people who are starting to bake. I like that this kit came with a cupcake/cake holder, as I didn't find another set that included it on Amazon. It only carries 11 cupcakes, which is disappointing. This set does not come with the cake knife that many other sets did. I had to purchase one separately and I think they should include that. I think this is a pretty descent kit, considering how much it comes with. I received all of my items and they were packaged well. This set is recommended by me.

👤I have never owned an icing spatula. If my mother ever wanted to make a round cake that wasn't left in a cake pan, she would use a butter knife. When I was an adult, I realized there was another way to do this, and that a flat butterknife worked just as well. It doesn't. I have used this product and know that. I understand why you would spend $6 on an icing spatula, because it makes things easier and looks better. I didn't expect it to be so big, despite the clear description. It takes up more space than I thought it would. Unless you also don't mind that it's going to be huge, don't be like me and ignore the thing right in the description. I can use this for other things. I am not sure what other things are yet, but I am sure there are some.

👤I didn't clean it right away when I used it. It was in the sink. The bottom side was covered with rust spots when I washed it. There are permanent marks on it. It was probably my fault, but nothing else of mine has ever rusted. I will look for another product.

👤I was looking for an icing spatula when I bought this. I need something to make it easier to put icing on cakes. A lot of bakers suggest using an angle spatula. It is easier when the spatula is straight. The spatula was a good value for the price. I didn't expect to use this spatula for so many things other than icing a cake. The spatula is over an inch wide. I now think of it as a spatula to use when cooking small food items that I need to lift or turn. I use it to turn bacon, biscuits, and other things when cooking. The spatulas are in the drawer most of the time. I recommend one for your kitchen.

👤I finally broke down and got this. You don't know what you have to do to make it easier for yourself. I have not had any issues with spots or rust. I washed it before using it. And made sure it was dry. I was surprised by some of the reviews. I have some items that are very good and I hope to keep it that way. Fast delivery and reasonably priced.

👤I needed royal blue icing for a cake I was making, so when I clicked on the product, I immediately bought it. Come to find out that is not the picture you are looking at. You get a different box of colors with the set. I should have read the description to make sure I was getting what I needed, but why would the first picture on the product be incorrect? They need to remove the photos that depict different colors.

👤I wanted something affordable for coloring home made frosting and cakes. I decided to buy this after careful consideration because I was worried about getting repeating colors. Everything worked well and the cakes were perfect. The red doesn't have a lot of color. I had to add a lot of gel dye to get it to red in the picture and you could taste the color. Everything else is great.

👤The food coloring is intense. Why is the meh rating so low? I had to use a sharp knife point to get the foil off the suckers, there was no edge to grab, so I had to open the foil lid. Guess what? You end up with food coloring all over your fingers, and it's hard to get it off. The product is great if the packaging is designed by someone who doesn't use it.

👤I was very excited about this set. I needed a variety of gel colors at a low cost because I make all of our sensory and play stuff at home with a toddler all day. I knew I might have an issue with the red, because of all the other reviews. It's supposed to be Christmas red, so you would expect a deeper shade. I only got the bright pink color after using half of the container on just one cup of pasta. The other colors that I've tried are yellow, blue and green. The blue and green are not as bright as you might think.

👤The classic pots stink because they came out with the Wilton Color Perfect kit. It took 30 minutes for each color to be created. It is not that much more expensive in retrospect if you just spring for the color perfect system. The Color did not taste bad, but neither does it. You end up using 3 times as much to get vivid colors with the pots as you do with buttercream frosting. Maybe these are for royal icing. Don't expect these to color your buttercream with an efficiency.

👤I received an 8-pack of color gels a couple of days ago. I decided to open the package even though I didn't need them yet. The box they came in was in perfect shape. I removed the tops of the individual jars and saw no open or damaged seals. The jars were perfectly sealed and the tops were a tiny bit loose, but I realized if the lids had been tightened the pressure could have cracked. I didn't want to break the seals since I wasn't going to use them yet. I will make another review if there is anything wrong when I open them. At this point, they are all perfect. I plan on opening them before my window closes.

👤If you are doing 12 cupcakes, you will have to fill it twice, because it doesn't fit a lot of frosting in the bag. It's too elastic if you have a thicker buttercream and you're squeezing about medium pressure. If you use a star tip, it will make a star and a stray line of frosting will come out of the side of the piping tip.

I use it for the tips, but it doesn't open at the side, so I use it for the cupcakes. I ripped at the bottom of the bag as I changed the tips. The bag lasted, but it was good. 2. The icing design is the same as any other. You can achieve it with this one. Just have to practice. 3. The cleaning part is the most difficult to do after icing. If you have food coloring or gel in your icings, you should prepare a small brush to clean it thoroughly. It is worth it for a beginner like me.

👤These things have survived in a professional kitchen. Definitely would buy again. I'm a professional pastry chef and I was looking for a replacement set for my piping tips. The ones I used to have lasted about 5 years in a professional setting. I saw this set and thought $10 was a steal. They are not numbered, but my insert had a diagram of what tip does what. I tapped it to the top of the box. The folding of the pastry bags helped them fit better in the box, but they like to pop out. I like them all. Time will tell if they are up to the task.

👤I didn't think this set was very durable. The metal tips are very flimsy and I used to bend them. The silicone bag has the couplers that screw onto it. These are made of plastic and stripped of the first use. I have no way of securing the tips to the bag because they were only lightly hand tightened. The whole set is useless unless I buy replacement couplers, which is not really worth the effort at this point. Very disappointing. I was contacted by the seller and was given a full refund. I appreciated the customer service in handling this transaction even after the time to return product had expired.
