Best Baking Dish 9x13

👤This is a better casserole dish. I used to have a ceramic 9x13 with a lid. The ello dish has a Silicone sleeve on it so the counter is protected with no extra work, even though I would have to set it on pot holders or a Silicone mat after taking it out of the oven. I put the splatter guard on top of the dish to eliminate the mess and tinfoil waste. The leftovers can be put in the freezer and come out fresh on the other side if they are put in the airtight lid. I bought a second so that I can make two casseroles on my day off and not have to cook in the middle of the week. There are better ways to do things, and this product embodies that. Cooking is no longer very difficult.

👤There was trouble right out of the box. The product has three stickers stuck to it. There are two on the inside of the glass pan and one on the outside of the plastic lid. The manufacturer chose not to use a glue. I can use acetone on the plastic lid to get the glue off the glass, but it's already ridiculous to expect a customer to do that. I don't know how to get the glue off the lid. It will take a lot of work. I had to decide if I should just return the product or spend hours getting it off. It's ridiculous to use that kind of glue on a product. My advice is to look at a different product.

👤I bought the baking dish about 8 months ago. I thought it was a great idea and easy to clean. I used it to make some cakes. I didn't want to use the oven because of the hot weather. When my son was going to bake tonight, I was shocked. We smelled it first. My husband came in and said that the house was almost burning down. He said the silicone melted and dripped down on the oven and was on fire. The flames could be seen through the window. He was able to put the fire out after purchasing a new fire extinguisher. We had to blow out the toxic fumes by opening the house and putting fans in front of the doors. We couldn't go back in for a while. I can't imagine that could happen. I am thankful that he was quick in his response. I had a window open and thought someone was working with chemicals. I wouldn't recommend this product due to the safety issue.

👤I bought this as an upgrade to my pyrex dishes. This is definitely more fun. The lid is tightly held on. I like the color and how it works. The only complaint is that it is very hard to get the lid off when food is still hot.

👤I don't know how long the covers will last but they have held up well in the dishwasher so far. They seal well. Several people have commented on the pretty baking dish. People are surprised it can go in the oven. The silicone has not been discolored so far. Would buy for someone.

I found a piece of glass in my hand while washing the dish. shards of glass are breaking off from the seam along one of the handles. I am very upset this is happening. I only had this dish for a year. I have many Pyrex products and never had a problem. Maybe I was unlucky and got a bad dish?

👤When it shattered, it was placed on top of the stove after being taken out of the oven. The product has an emphasis on basic. I don't recommend buying this and getting something that focuses on quality instead of hypes.

Pyrex stands up to abrasive pads, but I wouldn't recommend steel wool, which is important because over time you get baked on grease, etc. It's not supposed to be used for cooking on the stove top. The 2-piece set that includes the smaller square dish might be better for that.

👤I've spent about fifteen dollars on bakeware. So. Yes. It's Pyrex. At the end of the day, it's still glass and not something that will break. It is good but not godlike. You still have to do your part because it will handle a wide variety of environments. It is all common sense. If you want to run hot water on the dish, don't take it from the freezer. Again, a good dish. The lack of side handles is my only nit. I like the actual handles more than the protrusions. When properly cared for, this dish will last for many years. A good product.

👤This is the first review I've ever written on Amazon, and I only felt obligated to warn others that the product exploded upon first use in the oven. We put it on top of the stove because the stove hadn't been turned on yet and it exploded, sending glass shards in all directions. Pyrex will never sell it again because it's a dangerous product. 👤My grandma received this gift. She put the pyrex glassware pan on the stove top and it exploded. My mom was on the phone when my grandma went into the living room. She said glass shot all over her kitchen. A friend of mine said the same thing. I did some research. The pyrex used to be more heat and shatter resistant, but harder to make and more expensive, so they switched to a lime glass. Do not buy Pyrex!

The smallest one is 7” in diameter and is on the outside. The base is only 5” x 8” on the sides. The medium one is 11” x 8” at the edge and the sides are 9” x 6” The largest is 13” from the top edge to the base. The casserole dishes are 2.5” deep. This bakeware has a blue exterior and blue floral design on the inside. The paint job is not consistent. It looks like someone was brushing it on by hand, and didn't care if there were brushstrokes or not. The manufacturer is Kingsbull Home, which is made in China. There are symbols for how to care for this set. It is safe to eat in the oven at 400 degrees. I think the symbol means dishwasher safe or refrigerator safe. I don't usually freeze food in my casserole dishes, but it was described as freezer safe. I would know to let it come to room temperature before I put it in the oven or microwave, but others in the household might not know that. I got these for the large one to use as a cake pan. It looks pretty to serve a cake, but the outside pieces have sloped sides. It doesn't lend itself well for things like lasagna because of the slope. Straight sides are better for cutting layers. Fix, bake, serve, then refrigerating the leftovers is what I like best.

When I ordered this dish for him because he was unhappy with what he'd been using, he was enamored with the new dish because he can put everything in it and there is no danger of anything bubbling. 👤I have already used both dishes after receiving them. I'm happy! I baked a cinnamon coffee cake in one and it didn't stick even without oiling the dish first. It was clean and cooked evenly. 👤The pan made a cracking noise when I added more water because the liquid in the pan was drying up. I thought the pan was cracked. It did crack. I didn't see the crack, but I made a Prime Rib roast and the grease from the meat dripped on the bottom of the stove and when I put it on the top of the stove for slicing, grease leaked out from the crack and all over the top of the stove. Not very strong! It was delivered on January 4th, so it was too late to return it. What should I do? Do you want to buy another pan?

👤These pans don't last very long. I used the 9 x13 pan at 350 F and didn't put it in the refrigerator, but there were cracks all the way through it after a few uses. I requested a refund after contacting the seller. A replacement was sent after my request was denied. The same thing happened to the replacement. Two months have passed since I bought it, and both 9x13 pans have done the same thing. I haven't used the 8. I should have spent more for a brand that was known.

These dishes don't fit the blue lid. The dishes don't have holes in them.

👤I wanted to eat this dish. The Silicone sleeve is a clever idea. The lavender color makes me happy. I took it out for its first voyage and it cracked in two. The oven should have been low enough to not crack a good oven-dish. This was not a crack that could be patched with glue. This was a horizontal crack, going all the way across. I would have liked to have saved the silicone sleeve. Maybe I could have used it on my dish. I used it far to late to return the pieces. I threw it into the trash because I was so upset. It seems like other reviewers had better luck than me. I will write to the seller if there is a chance that a replacement will be sent. I will make this review more positive if they do. I'm giving this one star.

👤It is beautiful for presentation of 9x13 cakes and desserts. I like that it comes with a lid that fits. The Silicone protective sleeve is aesthetically pleasing and functional, and is my first baking dish to feature it. The bake dish can be moved from the oven to the table to the dishwasher. It is good to know that my bake wear is dishwasher safe.

👤I bought this item a year ago because it was a non-stick baking pan. The pan worked well for a while. When I baked a bunch of brownies recently, cooled them and removed them from the pan, I noticed the bottom of several of the brownies had pan coating that made them inedible. When I washed the pan, I noticed that one of the parts had lost its coating and that there was some rust in it. I contacted the manufacturer of the pan and they told me that the pans are meant for baked goods only and that any other food source will affect the coating. The paper we recommend is parchment. The pans have to be sprayed with a baking spray or coated with shortening and flour. We will be glad to replace the pan as a one-time courtesy if you send us a photo of the pan. Allow up to 3 weeks to receive. We try to send the same size, but it may be a different pan than you have. I was surprised to learn that their pan was not stick free even though it has non-stick coating. I used Pam and it came off into the food. The item can be used for brownies, cake, Lasagna, casseroles, but only baked goods according to the description. I don't use plastic or Silicon tools with this pan. The coating is failing and coming off in the food. I gave it a rating of 2 because it lasted a year. I received a replacement pan from Wilton today. The item is the same size, dark coating and has a 10 year warranty. The rating has been upgraded from 2 stars to 3 stars.

👤A few months ago, I was excited to get a couple of new pans. The first couple of times I used them, they didn't stick too much, but soon thereafter, they began sticking badly. I have to work really hard to get the food off after I soak them. I don't use metal utensils and wash them with a sponge labeled as safe for use on non-stick surfaces. The food sticks like glue and there are rough black spots. I only use them occasionally, but now there is rust around the edges and corners, and it is so bad the last couple of times, I am ready to throw them in the trash. I'm going to buy a different brand of pans. The lids are hard to get off as they fit tightly. One is a bad choice.

My cakes are perfect now. I like that it has its own lid. I don't have to use foil or something that can mess up the icing. I would recommend this pan to other bakers.
