Best Baking Dish Set Of 2

👤They are too small for baking. The turquoise color is gorgeous. I regret returning them. Some of the reviews are not accurate. Some people suggest that they were big enough for a family. That is not the case here. We need a bigger casserole because we have 2 Amazons parrots.

I don't have to put food from the oven pan to a serving plate because the look is so attractive and it looks nice on the table along side my dishes and I can take it to a party and set it on a buffet table. The inside ceramic glaze is non porous, so food does not stick. All arrived in perfect condition. It's a great gift if you're substantial and sturdy.

👤Don't get them. They are easy to break. Two pans broke in the same spot. Two days after the policy was implemented, my second pan broke, which is upsetting because I wasted money on pans that can't handle standard use. I washed them to make sure they were well cared for. Don't waste your money like I did. I used it twice and it broke. When I went to pick it up, it was broken, because I put it in the sink to be washed.

👤Zero stars! There is a defect in my bake tray. The tray exploded in my hands as I was transferring it from the fridge to the kitchen counter. I gently placed the tray into the counter, rather than bang it on the counter. The glass was not able to handle the temperature change from the cold fridge to the cool kitchen counter. I have never had a problem with my ten-year old tray. I think there are some major quality control issues. The shards were so sharp and heavy that they tore chunks out of my mats. I had cuts on my hands.

One had the lid and handles pictured but the other had a lid that fit inside the handles, which provided less clearance for items sitting higher in the dish. The dish was a bit wider than I wanted because of the gaps in the handles. I received a replacement that was not the same as the one pictured, but it was the same type with open handle grips and a lid that fit inside. Gave up but still happy with both styles. This would be air tight to protect what is inside and prevent light spillage. Regardless of style, still recommend.

👤I only used it a few times after buying it a few months ago. I roasted some hazelnuts in the oven for 15 minutes and then took it off the oven. I felt the all thing explode in my hand. Millions of tiny pieces were everywhere, and it was glasses that exploded so much it wasn't like a couple small pieces. It took a long time to clean up. This item may have a factory defect. Buy this. It's a great way to ruin your day. I don't know why Amazon chose this. It's hard to understand why Amazon made this mistake.

👤I am happy to have this set of casserole dishes. The box had no information on the range of use for the dishes, so I am suspect of their quality. Good quality glassware usually has this info stamped into the glassware itself, even though it should be okay to 400 F / -40 C. I'm not sure if it's borosilicate glass, because the box says it was made in China. I kept the casseroles warm in the oven at about 300 degrees while I prepared the table. The dishes seem to be on the thin side for bakeware, as noted by others. I will change my review if they don't last.

👤I've used the Pyrex bowls since the 1980's. The sizes are perfect for our smaller microwaves. I was worried that the biggest dish in the set wouldn't be able to spin freely on the turntable. There is no clearance issue despite the ample handles. I'm not sure if there is a claim to the color of the glass. It is very faint blueish-green when viewed cross sectional. The walls, lid and bottom of the bowls are the same as they were 30 years ago, but are slightly thinner. They seem to be made for me. These are difficult to find. I gave my grandson one set because he loves them and hasn't tried them in the oven. I can't speak to that use. If you've ever had a set of Anchor Ovenware, they are basically the same thing. You will love them.

👤I like the new bowls. The Pyrex bowls I've used for years always require a soft scrub pad to remove cooked on food and a second wash after they have dried. The old Pyrex bowls were a lot heavier in weight than the newBorosilicate bowls. No scrub pad is required, the dish rag can be used, and there is no cloudy white mess after the bowls are dried. The handles on the bowl and lid are not as large as the diameter of the lid, so it is not possible to lift it off the bowl. They are a bit slippery when stacking them. I only stack them one on the other with the lid on the bowls if I take a picture for this review. The bowls pass Panasonic's "Container Test" for safe microwave oven use, which can be found in the owner's manual. Since buying these bowls, I'm using the microwave oven a lot more.

The largest of the three is less than 11 inches long and excludes the handles. They are too small to be used for dessert breads. I thought I would use them to broil vegetables, but the care instructions warn against high heat, so that was a no-go. I haven't found a use for them, although they are pretty. For a romantic dinner for two, these might be great.

The baking interior of the largest pan is only 11 x 8. Likewise, 12 x 7.3 is 9 x 7 and 10 x 6 is 8 x 5.5. I have not used them, so cannot comment on much more than above. I was hoping that this set would work for roasting chicken, casserole side dishes, and so on, but it would have to be a small chicken.

I ordered her one that was this size. I think she uses this one more than the others. It's not better than the others, but it allows her to stop adjusting the recipes.

👤I'm past the point where I can return this to Amazon. Have only used them once. My daughter asked "what is this?" when I served her food after I put one in the microwave to cook potatoes for 2 minutes. There was a sharp piece of glass that came off the inside edge of the glass lid. The lid fell into the food when it cracked off. I just put the lid on and it's very concerning. The glass lid should not be used with this product. She saw the glass shards in the food.

I want to address the comments about how it broke on me when I dropped it. Many people wrote this and were not happy when it happened. But guess what? It's made from porcelain. It's going to break when you drop it. There is a pamphlet in the box that tells you what to do. The picture I attached clearly shows what I'm talking about. My guess is that the people who threw out the instructions were the ones who complained. I'm starting to rant here, but it bugs me when people complain and don't read directions. If you treat your stoneware properly, it should last and look great.

If the bottoms were glazed like Fiesta Dinnerware plate, then cracking wouldn't be a problem. I like how these look, but I don't know if I would ever buy them again.

👤It exploded in the oven. This isn't real Pyrex, it's dangerous junk. I reached in with a spatula to remove the fish from the dish that exploded when I tried to broil it. Real Pyrex is made from borosilicate which is very heat resistant and cheap lime glass. The Pyrex brand was sold by Corning in 1998 and the current owners use it as a brand name, but they don't make it out of actual pyrex glass. You can find references to exploding pyrex on the internet, including from Consumer Reports. I wish I'd done the search before I bought this, it's left me with an oven full of shattered glass. If you are looking for Pyrex, you should look for borosilicate baking dishes.

👤I have used Pyrex for years and purchased this pan last year. We don't use this a lot, but it had worked fine until today. I removed the pan and the loaf of meat from the oven when it was done because it was 350 degrees. One side of the Pyrex spilled all over the place. The seller should note in their description that this glassware is not tempered. I wouldn't have made this purchase if I'd known the glass was soda lime. It was very misleading and disappointing.

I spent hours trying to clean up the mess after the chicken couldn't be eaten. I have old Pyrex pieces that were made from a more heat-resistant glass, and I have never had an explosion issue with them. I will never buy Pyrex with small letters.

👤If you're looking for containers with lids that fit onto the container, then these are for you. 99% of the containers fit the lids. They're small for the job at hand and not tight. The glass containers are of decent size. I didn't have any issues with the packaging. There were no chips or scratches in the box. If a container has a lid, then it should fit on there tightly. I've had them pop off when I've moved containers around in a cabinet and even when they have contents in them, which is quite scary.
