Best Baking Dish Set with Lids for Oven

👤I don't know why people don't have these small bowls in their pantry. I can't live without them. I would like to see a bigger size. I use them to put my diced ginger and garlic in my food, as well as for dipping sauces and condiments at the table. One broke immediately when I dropped it into the sink. It should be thick enough to handle that stress because it wasn't that hard to drop. The pack of multiple dishes is the best buy for the money and it looks better than the others. If you don't drop one, you'll probably use them for a long time.

👤I got this for thanksgiving and found that it can be used for a lot of different things. It adds a touch to my meal. I always have the cover on and surprise my S.O. whenever I uncover our dinner. I was able to fit a chicken in there once, which was really nice.

👤The pictures on Amazon don't always give you the information you need. These are definitely worth it. When we have sushi, I buy them mostly for soy sauce. We use the kids side condiments all the time. It is a small enough but deep for being so small. These are the ones to buy if you want the perfect size. I accidentally dropped them in my sink at least 3 times. It is very durable. Love is in the air!

👤The design of this dish is delicate. I needed a casserole to bake bread. The 450 degree heat was not a problem for me. Looking forward to using this dish for many more years. The packaging was the only issue. The packing tape was placed directly on the dish. It was difficult to remove. The glue had to be removed with Goo Gone. I missed something and it took a few minutes to take it off. I would highly recommend.

👤I use these for dipping bread because they work great with my vast collection of olive oils. They make great condiments. They hold the right amount so you don't throw it away. I put them in the dishwasher to clean so they don't take up any space to store.

I contacted Amazon but have not heard back. No one ever got back to me about this, so I give 3 starts. I will not order anything like this again from Amazon. I will drive an hour to the store.

👤Ok. I sat for a day and a half soaking the casserole dishes, aluminum and glass because I was tired of trying to get cheese from them. I bought a set of ceramic cookware. I was looking for casserole dishes. These are great, I found them. The biggest dish is just a little smaller than my regular pans, but I think it's going to work out great because it's only 3 people in the house. The cheese doesn't stick anymore. It's easy to clean up without having to soak the cheese in the pan. I can do one for myself, the little one, and it will be enough for 2 dinners. They were packaged well and had styrofoam in between the pans and on the bottom. My kids will get old casserole pans.

👤I am happy with my Koov bakeware dishes. The items look the same as in the photos on Amazon. I use them daily and cook and bake all the time. When I picked up the box after the first shipment arrived, I could hear the ceramic pieces rattling. I was angry. Next, I contacted Amazon and they sent me a replacement so I can not complain. I am trying new recipes and my cooking skills are much better for a man. Koov is the best. There were no complaints. Good luck to everyone.

👤We were looking for dishes that were a bit larger than the ones we'd buy in a box store. We cook and bake a lot, but there are only two of us, and we wanted dishes that were a bit smaller since we aren't feeding 4 people like we used to. The higher oven temp allowance of 500 degrees F is what we needed since we cook a lot. Others only go to 400. It was very easy to clean. If you need slightly smaller dishes than the norm, good quality, and good with higher temperatures, these might be for you.

👤The set is beautiful. The dark blue is mine. It is navy ombré to black. It has a nice finish. The food cooks thoroughly and I haven't had any problems with stitching. I don't think I'd need any other bake ware, the three sizes are perfect for a nice dinner. These do not have any lids. It would be great if they did not end up with a beautiful set.

👤I am happy to have this set of casserole dishes. The box had no information on the range of use for the dishes, so I am suspect of their quality. Good quality glassware usually has this info stamped into the glassware itself, even though it should be okay to 400 F / -40 C. I'm not sure if it's borosilicate glass, because the box says it was made in China. I kept the casseroles warm in the oven at about 300 degrees while I prepared the table. The dishes seem to be on the thin side for bakeware, as noted by others. I will change my review if they don't last.

When it was first shipped, it wasn't packed properly and items were broken and missing. The item was replaced and received again without any issues.

I agree with some of the reviews that these are not thick. I believe they will hold up. If you don't have a lot of storage space for dishes and containers, they're perfect because you can use the lids as serving dishes so they will work well for dorms, etc.

👤I've used the Pyrex bowls since the 1980's. The sizes are perfect for our smaller microwaves. I was worried that the biggest dish in the set wouldn't be able to spin freely on the turntable. There is no clearance issue despite the ample handles. I'm not sure if there is a claim to the color of the glass. It is very faint blueish-green when viewed cross sectional. The walls, lid and bottom of the bowls are the same as they were 30 years ago, but are slightly thinner. They seem to be made for me. These are difficult to find. I gave my grandson one set because he loves them and hasn't tried them in the oven. I can't speak to that use. If you've ever had a set of Anchor Ovenware, they are basically the same thing. You will love them.

👤I don't care if it's not turquoise at all, it's clear glass. I care that the glass is broken and shattered. We got that stuff all over the place when we opened the box. The only way to remove the dust was with a vacuum. It's dangerous.

👤I like the new bowls. The Pyrex bowls I've used for years always require a soft scrub pad to remove cooked on food and a second wash after they have dried. The old Pyrex bowls were a lot heavier in weight than the newBorosilicate bowls. No scrub pad is required, the dish rag can be used, and there is no cloudy white mess after the bowls are dried. The handles on the bowl and lid are not as large as the diameter of the lid, so it is not possible to lift it off the bowl. They are a bit slippery when stacking them. I only stack them one on the other with the lid on the bowls if I take a picture for this review. The bowls pass Panasonic's "Container Test" for safe microwave oven use, which can be found in the owner's manual. Since buying these bowls, I'm using the microwave oven a lot more.

👤These baking dishes are gorgeous. They're great for every day use. There are three different sizes. The largest is perfect for making a dish of noodles. We used it to make baked tomatoes. The quality of the baking dish is very good. If we don't eat all of it in one sitting, I can just put it in the fridge or freezer, and then microwave it. It makes clean up a lot easier because I don't use a lot of different dishes. I love that these dishes can be put in the dishwasher for quick and easy cleaning. The Medium dish is 6.9” x 6.5” and is great for casseroles. The vegetable casserole is perfect and we love it. It is easy to scoop out the food from the dish because it is cooked thoroughly. The glazing works well. I like that they fit in my cabinets. They stack together. I have more space and more organized. The color of the dishes is pretty and they are great for guests.

👤The bottom of the large dish was different from the top. The loaf pan is 1/3 of a normal loaf pan. I was really looking forward to these saving space in my cupboard, but I was very disappointed.

👤This is a nice set. There are different sizes to make any kind of dish or dessert. The lids snap on tightly and are harder plastic. The set was in perfect condition when it arrived. They are not the same size and shape as traditional baking dishes, and are shallow. I am happy to have the set in my kitchen for big family meals.

👤I'm past the point where I can return this to Amazon. Have only used them once. My daughter asked "what is this?" when I served her food after I put one in the microwave to cook potatoes for 2 minutes. There was a sharp piece of glass that came off the inside edge of the glass lid. The lid fell into the food when it cracked off. I just put the lid on and it's very concerning. The glass lid should not be used with this product. She saw the glass shards in the food.

We decided to buy this rectangular casserole dish after looking at a lot of different options. Since receiving it, we've had a lot of casserole dishes, including potatoes, noodles, and rice. The size of this makes it easy to make meals that can last for a couple of days, but taste like they took hours to prepare. We store the lid upside down in order to minimize the height, since it's easy to serve and storage with a sturdy handle. The Pyrex dish has 2 cups of water and 1 cup of rice baked into it for 45 minutes. This method is great because you don't need to stir, just set it and forget it. 👤I use pyrex cookwear. I enjoy cooking with glass. I put the casserole dish in the oven and then put the meet on the hot glass to see it. Instead of going into the oven, it shattered apart all over the kitchen: glass all over the floor and all over the counter. I don't need this kind of quality. It worked well for general baking if temperatures rise and fall gradually, but it doesn't do as well as my other pyrex. I don't know if it's really pyrex.

👤Not the first, second or third to explode! It's amazing that Amazon continues to sell this. Our dinner's were wrecked when the oven had glass embedded in it. I wouldn't rate this as a 1. You have to give it in order to comment. I was reaching to take out the oven when it exploded.

👤I used it for the first time this weekend after receiving it. I was making food. I was excited to use the new dish with the old one. I used this dish to prepare the pasta. Both dishes were filled with sauce and cooked pasta, topped with mozzarella, and placed into the oven to melt the cheese without the cover. The dishes were in for less than a minute when we heard a loud boom and saw steam coming from the oven. We opened the oven and found that the dish had exploded, sending glass shards and baked tortellini all over the oven, top to bottom, and glass shards landed in the other Pyrex dish. My Pyrex baking dish has been used weekly for over twenty years without incident. I think this was not a case of thermal shock. The Pyrex dish should have suffered injuries if it had been misuse on my end. I called World Kitchen and was told that they were sending me a replacement for a dish that they believed was not up to par.

👤A nice set. The largest piece was broken. It seems like it happens a lot. I wish I'd looked at the reviews more closely. When I picked it. I chose this set because it goes well with my other dishes, and Thanksgiving is in a few days. The way it's packaged is what you see in my picture. Which is the reason for the broken one. A small piece of styrofoam underneath would have solved the problem. If it hadn't been broken, I would've given it 5 stars.

👤I see a lot of other reviews that say it is not 8x8 My first dish was perfect for an 8x8 dish and there was still plenty of room to spare. I think that it is much deeper than most other dishes, so if you are worried about that, don't fret, there will be enough space. It feels a little light compared to what I imagined, but I have been using it without any problems. It is worth it for the price.
