Best Baking Ebt Eligible Food Items

👤I bought these thinking they were natural, but after reading someone else's review, I realize they are not. I'm not sure how they can put 100% natural on the label. I could have bought the coloring at the store and gotten a better result. I used it to color the cake batter. The package doesn't say not to use in baking. The batter was vibrant and beautiful when I mixed it with the colors. The cake layers were baked in the oven. By the time the layers were done cooking, the colors were gone. The emerald green layer looked like a fuzzy mold. I don't recommend buying these. I will never do that again. They are not natural.

👤I have tried many natural food dyes to accommodate my customers. I liked these because they are less expensive than other brands and the colors work great in natural dyes. These are not made with 100% natural vegetable juices and spices as the package claims. The colors are lovely and I appreciate having a natural alternative. I wish I'd read the ingredients before ordering. This is not what I was hoping for. If you buy them, be aware of the viscosity and remove the lid if they get thick.

👤Other reviewers have noted that the red comes out more purple. The blue and green are lovely shades of calm. I had an issue with one bottle being blocked with a strand but it was removed and the bottle worked fine. If you don't expect these to be like artificial dyes, you'll enjoy them. I used them to color. I tried to combine yellow and red to make orange, but ended up with brown. After sitting in the fridge overnight, that became muddy yellow. Not sure if you could make orange with this set. I made a purple with red and blue.

👤I needed a small bottle to get a green color in the dough for my Christmas cookies, but I bought this to make them. I baked the first batches and low and behold the cookies are pale in color and the kids like them, but the rest had to be decorated with red and green sprinkles. I have never had a problem with the products I have bought before. I think it's a good idea to say on the label that it's all natural and juices and veg are used in the manufacture, but if it's not going to hold a color in baking I think it's a bad idea.

👤I use this in my homemade ice cream to make it coffee-flavored. It's awesome. I just use a small amount. I tried a few recipe versions which used a cup or less of coffee but they didn't work as well as the espresso powder does. I can make mine at home and also dairy-free, since I don't have to worry about the store versions.

👤The first time I ordered it, it was going to be gone in a few months. It became hard to use after a month or two after having it, and it got worse over time. I live in a humid climate, so it could be that it clumped because of that. It became much harder to break up as it became useless. The clumps were sticky and I had to wash the zester after, so I could not use it. I kept this in an airtight bag in my cupboard between uses, and it still came out the same. Attached is an image. The espresso powder did it's job for two months, until it became useless. Unless you plan to use the entire amount within a short period, I would strongly advise against buying this product.

👤It's perfect for cooking. I've used this in cakes, brownies, and even a coffee creamer recipe. I don't recommend using this as a substitute for espresso, as that isn't what it is designed to do. This is a great addition if you want the chocolate flavor to pop in your recipe. The wide mouth makes it easy to get measuring spoons out of the container. I would buy again.

For the past year or so, it seems every bag has either small oddly shaped nuts or a lot of rotten nuts. There is a dark brown gunk on the outside of nearly every nut I open. There is not much left of the nut and some nuts go all the way through after I remove it. I end up throwing out half of the bag because it's expensive and you pay for the shells and nuts. What has happened? The company needs to do some serious quality control and throw out the bad nuts before packaging them. It's unfair for customers to be stuck with a bad product. I canceled my order after having them on subscribe and save for a couple years.

👤I have ordered them many times and they always come fresh. An expiration date is usually a year away. I have tried a lot of different brands and I like the best one, the Wonderful Pistachios. They are lightly salted and just right. Other brands of pistachios have a different taste. These are perfect! These are a good deal at around $13 for a 32-oz bag. They are always more expensive at the grocery stores. After opening the bag, I put a rubber band or clip on it and then store it in a large zip-lock bag to maintain freshness. It would be easier if the bags were made with a top. There is a chance that some nuts won't be perfect. They are hard to inspect individually. It is possible that some nuts may not be opened, dry, burned, or eaten by an insect. I'm sure the manufacturer takes action to prevent that. It's similar to buying fruit but safer, there's a chance for a surprise insect or not being the sweetest of the bunch. I can't say I haven't gotten a few surprises, but for the most part I'm happy with the quality of these pistachios! Get them and eat them!

We had a chance to look a little more closely at this product after we received it, as it is not a pure vanilla extract, but aBakingVanilla extract. It does perform well, but it does give non-baked items a slightly minty flavor, which is different to the rounded and warm flavor of baked goods. During this crisis, a replacement for vanilla was not terrible.

The seller is also Watkins, and the price was fair. I was shocked when I saw a different name and label for this product. I immediately called Watkins to get clarification. The new label is because the rep confirmed that they were changing the name. She said that there is still a mix of old and new labels out there, but that my item is the new label and completely safe and real. I told her that I thought the new label should be in the stock ad on Amazon, or at least advise potential customers of the change with a caveat. I thought I was getting a fake product. I think so. The strength is what I love about this product. This product doesn't bake your baked goods. The taste is very strong. I always use a minimum of 1 capful per recipe, even though they say you can use very little. This is the best I have ever used. No comparison! My adult children use this brand of products. I paid full price for this item. My thoughts are my own and I don't pay for them. My opinions are based on what I have experienced.

👤I love pancake mix. I don't get a reaction when I eat. It isn't saying that anyone with Crohns will have the same positive experience. I dislike most of the alternatives toGluten free and soy free as they taste like cardboard. This mix is great. I can't tell from the pancakes made from scratch. Almond milk is a good substitute for milk. I add more milk if I feel like making a crepe. I make the whole thing, even though you can make half of it. I have kept the batter in my fridge for 48 hours, just adding a little milk to liven it up. I think the pancakes taste better if I chill the mix before cooking. It's a good thing. 👤This is a science of substitution that has not yet been mastered. Far from it! I had never heard of the world of GF pancakes. I used two cups of almond milk because I didn't have regular milk in the house. The package says you can substitute almond or soy milk, so I assumed this would be fine. The added twist would be the flavor of the vanilla. The batter was tough after I mixed it up. I thought that this would be just like the bread from the movie, "GF bread". I poured them on the griddle after the batter was the right consistency. They were just like regular pancakes. Eating them was not as bad as I had thought. They were slightly rubbery, the batter had lost its texture, but they are not going to fool anyone into thinking they are the real article. I doctored my pancakes with butter and real maple syrup, and they were surprisingly palatable, and I was satisfied, but I still think there is a long way to go.

👤At Auguson Farms, bad directions seem to be the rule. The people that write the instructions have never tried to follow them. The biscuit mix is not an exception. You can get a hard little biscuit that's technically edible if you follow the directions on the can. I have finally gotten some really good biscuits from this mix. Remember to use water as the directions say. The most important thing to remember is that you need to add some melted butter, and mix the dough with care. Don't do anything to it other than blend your ingredients to hold it together. Cut out your biscuits from the flattened disc. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised if you bake with a little milk on the tops.

Everything worked well and the cakes were perfect. The red doesn't have a lot of color. I had to add a lot of gel dye to get it to red in the picture and you could taste the color. 👤The classic pots stink because they came out with the Wilton Color Perfect kit. It took 30 minutes for each color to be created. It is not that much more expensive in retrospect if you just spring for the color perfect system. The Color did not taste bad, but neither does it. You end up using 3 times as much to get vivid colors with the pots as you do with buttercream frosting. Maybe these are for royal icing. Don't expect these to color your buttercream with an efficiency.

👤I received an 8-pack of color gels a couple of days ago. I decided to open the package even though I didn't need them yet. The box they came in was in perfect shape. I removed the tops of the individual jars and saw no open or damaged seals. The jars were perfectly sealed and the tops were a tiny bit loose, but I realized if the lids had been tightened the pressure could have cracked. I didn't want to break the seals since I wasn't going to use them yet. I will make another review if there is anything wrong when I open them. At this point, they are all perfect. I plan on opening them before my window closes.

I freeze them because I like them frozen and I can thaw them out if I want it soft. I will buy these again.

The seller said I should get 4 boxes each containing 4 pouches. I received one box that said it was a set. Really? There are 4 pouches in the boxes of this product. That's not a set, that's deceptive quantity labeling, so you pay more here for the same product you can get cheaper at the grocery store. The product is wonderful, but if you want to get it at the grocery store, you should know that the quantities in this listing are not real.

👤The brownie is not bad. Light caramel taste, but don't expect a lot of caramel. It's like a little bit of dense cake. Okay seriously, PortION? The recommended mug is the size I put in. It's like six bites. I put two packets in a mug. That's a small serving. For a package of four, the cost is not bad. Not worth more than that. They have a pack of ten cupcakes for under 6 dollars. Great deal! I stress a little, warm choc cake, fast, easy, this is it. I will give it a fourth. Four packets of caramel brownies are like two small serving sizes, because they are more like four bites of chocolate cake. CONVENIENCE is a challenge. This works when you really want warm, chocolate goods fast. I just ordered a bunch of doughnuts and am looking forward to them.

👤I love the Perfect Size cakes and muffins. They are easy to make and convenient. The favor is good. I add butter to my food to make it taste better. I have given to others and they love it. You can mix milk or water in a cup or small bowl. I have doubled. I admit. I gifted pthers a mug, spoon, mix, and packaged it together. Put the mix and spoon in the mug and place it in a gift bag with instructions. The bow and other decorations are important for the occasion. Makes a great gift for a teacher or co-worker.

👤I wanted a quick and easy dessert to eat so I bought this product. The instructions are very easy to follow: pour one pack into a mug and add water and milk. When I first poured the mix into the mug, the portion size appeared to be small, but when I added the liquid, it filled about 1/3 of the mug, which was an average mug. I microwaved the mix for 50 seconds and it came out 1/3 of the way up, but it wasn't really a rise. There were a lot of chocolate chips in the mug cake. The cake is sweeter for me because I'm looking for a dessert that is sweeter. When you bite into the chocolate and cake, it tastes like a chocolate cookie chip. If you prefer a more cakey texture, you can microwave for longer, but be careful about drying out the mixture because it can still be a little wet. The dessert is pretty good, but it's a little small in portion size, so that might be a good thing since I'm not getting much exercise in thisQuarantine either way. It's a good recommendation!

I was confused when I read the small print and realized that I received 8 in box x 4 for 32 bars, but the title and picture said 16 in box x 3 for 48 bars. Someone needs to fix this.

👤I enjoy them. It's great for snacking and is healthier than most snack foods. I emphasize the most. They have less sugar than candy bars but have more vitamins and minerals. These were definitely not a good deal at $1399. You get an extra box of each of the three flavors if you win. I can still get them at a better price at any grocery store, even with the 15% off, because I have done it for the last year. For a long time, I bought these from Amazon for an excellent price of $22.70 per 48 bars. I checked under the category of other sellers. I rarely buy anything that isn't Amazon Prime. If there are any issues with the products, they will stand by them. I found a couple that were the same price as the rest of the bars, Apple cinnamon, berry and strawberry, a total of 48 bars, and with free delivery.
