Best Baking Equipment for Bakery

👤It's easy to open the battery compartment and load the batteries. Doesn't stop going around and doesn't cut the can. It would be great if it worked. I returned the product and did not order it again. I was amazed that I received a replacement from the company at no cost, based on my review. We don't open a lot of cans, but the replacement has worked well for two or three months. Quality control and customer service are the areas where my rating has been updated.

👤It works perfectly, I used it twice so far. It was effortless. You can see the video. The magnetic system allows the top to be lifted by simply lifting the device. No touching or cutting. It doesn't feel sharp if you grab the top of the can with your fingers. If you don't use the entire can, you can just put the top back on and it will fit.

👤The Kitchen Mama One-Touch Electric Can Opener: Auto-Stop has been with us since January 7th. We opened 28 cans on the same set of batteries and it's still going strong. It is an excellent product.

👤Kitchen Mama is a brand to watch. We have been using Black & Decker, but I like the way it feels. The 4 AA batteries are negative for me. The use and care manual suggests thatbatteries might be drained already. Hmm? The holder charges the B & D. I was surprised that it ran on batteries, but there is always double A in a remote. Kitchen Mama seems to be run by some excellent mama's, Customer Service is A+.

👤I thought I had found a replacement for my beloved Chef's Star Smooth Edge Automatic Electric Can opener, but when I tried to open a large can with my new Kitchen Mama One Touch Electric Can opener, it took multiple attempts and opened in. The can opener was the cause of my problems. When I tried to open a regular can of vegetables, it stopped twice, so I started again. I cut my finger on a sharp point on the can, but the lid could not be removed. After I bandaged my cut finger and stopped the bleeding, I started it again and cut a finger on the other hand. I am going to return the can opener instead of throwing it in the trash. There was nothing wrong with the large can or the regular sized can that I tried to open.

👤It's great to put it on top of a can and walk away. You can hear when you need to grab the next ingredient. It was very easy to use.

👤I have heard about this type of can opener before and finally purchased one. Love it. It is easy to use and safe. The edges are not sharp to cut. Will probably get another one for my mom.

👤The torch was perfectly fine once it was filled with butane. Getting it filled with butane was frustrating. I bought a butane can from Target and thought it would be fine. The torch wouldn't fit the tip of the can. The bottom of the torch is not compatible with common butane refill cans because of its shape. I went to a hardware store and asked the attendant to put a different brand of butane in front of me to make sure I wasn't spending more money. It worked. I bought a brand that I want you to know what works. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against using butane, but I want you to have it filled with it before you use it. The torch works perfectly and I am not sure if that is the fault of the torch or the incompatible can.

👤Today's dab was possible because of it. Next day it came. It's a beast. It was bought to replace the one that broke and was heavily used before that.

👤It was difficult to figure out which bottles would work. I finally found out which ones were short nozzle and where to find the long nozzle refill and it is working. The Ronco canister was found in the tobacco section at Walmart.

👤I love my torch! I wanted to start small because I am afraid of flames. It was very easy to load with butane and the lock button makes it seem very safe. The flame is enough to burn over my artwork to pop bubbles, but not the whole thing. Highly recommended.

👤Customer service was great. They tracked me down and sent me a replacement for my bad review. This one worked well. Quality company that supports their products. I got a faulty 1 for the first time and they made it right. Don't buy a piece of junk. I filled it with Butane and waited 10 minutes. It was hard to light and it tried to light me on fire. As soon as you point the flame down, the torch goes right to your hand. It's not a real torch flame, it's a big lighter flame. I have used torches that have a more powerful flame.

👤This is the second one I have had since July. This is a waste of money and you should look elsewhere.

👤They did the job when I used them. The high intensity is good for torching steak, but the medium intensity is better for creme brulee. Having the fire set at a low setting puts out the fire. The flame always goes out within a minute when I try to torch the sugar. The medium fire burned some of the sugar while I was trying to get the edges. The low flame going out often made it hard to lock the flame. I was not sure if the flame was locked on or not. If you kept it on medium, it would be solved. If you see the flame and it won't go out, be careful because you are leaking propane into the air. I think if you know what you're doing, it's easy, but it was my first time and some of the propane leaked out of the torch when it was full. At least they were gone? I put it on a paper towel in case. If you just want to make dessert or torch a few things, I recommend this. It's a good thing.

👤The company took a long time to address the issues I had. An amazing product and great supplies. There were some items that were missing. The bench scraper is small and it didn't fit in my hands, so it wasn't impressive. The offset spatula is the only spatula that has a straight edge. If the bottom pan isn't placed correctly, the cake batter ends up on the bottom of the oven, which is why I prefer regular cake pans to spring form. The wire cake cutter doesn't work at all. It is not all horrible. The Russian piping tips are appreciated by me. The bags are strong. The turntable works well. It is a good start to have for baking items. I should have gone for the package with more items.

👤I am happy with this purchase. I needed the supplies for my daughter's birthday cake without breaking the bank. Most of the sets that I saw did not have any Russian pipe tips. The set has 3 ball tips. The plastic used in the turntable and some of the pieces is perfect for beginners or a few times a year. The tools are at a good price.

The amount of items you get for the price is amazing. I'm not near a pro, so this is all I need. My box came in very bent, but the Amazon box was fine. My pan was bent and damaged when I looked in the box. I bought it new and some of the things were dirty. I'm not impressed.

👤The quality of icing bags is not good. I went back to using my Wilton bags after buying a second one for my mom because the icing bags were so thin that it took so much pressure to pipe.

👤I am glad I bought this because I would have made cake pops by hand. I was able to make over 100 cake pops in 2.5 hours. The included booklet has 2 tips for future users. The consistency is perfect because there's less water. 2, use a ziplock bag with a corner cut out to fill the cake pop holes, it will be perfect for perfectly rounded pops!

👤I bought this product because of the reviews for Baby cake. I can't believe I'm the only one who's encountered this issue if they bought the same product. I made multiple "pops" in order to avoid being labeled a "user error" and wasting good cake batter. The maker never made a complete ball. The pops did not fill up the top of the maker to make a complete ball, so they came out flat on one side. I used a light amount, heavier amount, lighter batter overall, heavier batter and nothing worked. Half moon balls are tiny. They were slightly larger than the lollipops in the bank lobbies. It wasn't worth the effort and money spent on these duds. I thought the maker would be easy to use and give me more time to work on other things. It cost me more than the machine. I had to buy cake pops for my holiday party at the end of the day. If you want to make your cake pops the old-fashioned way, stay away from this machine.

My friend wanted a beach themed cake pops and my daughter had never made cake pops before so we researched and found a cake pop maker that was affordable and had good reviews. The cake pops turned out great. Since it was easy to do, we just made multiple batches and every cake pop turned out the same. I would recommend this product.

👤The mini cake pop maker is a life saver. I decided to invest in this machine because the process of making cake pops with crumbled cake and frosting and rolling them into balls took too much time. I don't have to worry about the consistency of the cake pop and the frosting because this machine makes it easy. I used brownie mix the first time I used this machine and it turned out to be a disaster. The brownies would stick on the non sticking plate even though I sprayed cooking spray on them. I used the cake mix box for the second time and it came out perfect. The plates popped out and were in perfect shape. I poured too much cake batter into the maker and it overflowed, leaving extra cake scraps, but it's easy to remove. I kept the balls that had "Saturn" rings around them the same way as the rest of them because it gave the cake pop a natural lollipop look. I coated my cake balls with candy melts and they can be found in Walmart, Michaels, or JoAnns. The cake pops fast and easy to clean. The machine gets extremely hot so make sure to touch the handle for open and close access. My experience with this machine was good. I was not happy with the machine because my pops failed. Practice makes perfect? They came out perfect the second time, so don't be discouraged if you fail the first few times because you need to get used to it. If you want to make cake pops for any occasion, you should test the machine and cake balls before you do.

👤I absolutely love this mat. I ordered the large size mat the very day I received it, and I was so impressed with it that I wanted to start with it. I have never used a silicone mat before, but I bought the smaller size to try it. I used it to make pasta dough. Anyone that has made pasta by hand knows that it takes a lot of time and effort. The mat worked well. I didn't need to add flour to the pasta. I was able to use this particular size of dough because it fits in a small counter space between my stove and the wall, and I was able to use it without any flour on the floor for the first time. I used to use a 12 x 18 plastic cutting board to knead dough, and I would always add flour and/or oil to keep the dough from sticking to the board. The dough was more elastic than usual when I put the pasta through the machine. I was able to focus on creating a great final product, not on reducing the mess. The directions said to clean it with boiling water. Instead, I put in the sink with hot water and dish soap and let it sit for a while. The mat does not stick to itself when I store it rolled up. The Medium size mat in the pictures is large enough to make ravioli. I immediately ordered the largest size to cover the top of my portable butcher block island, because I was so impressed with how well this mat worked. The mat does not have a lot of clean up. After use, rinse it off in the sink and it will look new. I don't have to clean my old plastic cutting board. I can't wait to use this mat to make cookies and cinnamon rolls. 👤I was excited to receive this mat, due to the positive reviews. I found an insect in the product that I can move around with my finger. There is no way to get the insect out without ruining the mat. I am supposed to use this for food.

👤Terrible! Don't trust the markings. If you go by their starting line, you will get one whole inch off. I was too disgusted to check cm. I was ordering boxes based on the thoughtless design of my handcrafted soap.

👤Update 6/27/19. The dough doesn't seem to stick to the mat anymore despite the previous problems. I was glad I didn't throw it away last time. I have used the mat for 4 times. I had the chance to review this product. I don't know if I got a bad mat or if the others did. The dough sticks to the mat. I thought the problem was the dough. But after my 4th use? The mat is not non-stick. It is a thin, flimsy mat and it doesn't stay on the surface. I am not buying this again.

👤The kit is a great value and a terrific one. I gave this 4 stars because many of the tips weren't the best, but I wanted to give this 4.5 stars. There are places where metal meets that have weird joinery that puts a weird imperfection in the icing, but in most cases, it wouldn't be a big deal. I pinched away the flaws with some round-nosed pliers. This set has an incredible selection of profiles and is a great value. It arrived quickly and we were very pleased with it.

👤I would only consider this for a beginners set, considering how many tips you get. These are not seamless tips, that is the real problem. You will notice a line in the icing when you try to pipe smoothly. You can purchase seamless tips, however they are more expensive. The final piping results don't interfere with the seam of the Wilton brand.

👤I am an executive chef. The last certified pastry chef program in Chicago was where I attended school. I have always had a pastry chef so I never had to use pastry tools. It's time to dust off the baking cook books and start practicing again, because I don't have a pastry chef. This set of pastry tips will help me stay organized. Happy baking.

👤This kit works great. It was easy to use. I have one complaint. The carrying case is what it is. For a couple reasons. It is too small for the contents. You need to combine 3 tips in order to fit them all. It would be great if each tip had its own section. The second reason is that the tips have to be down. You can see which opening they have by standing upright. You have to pick them up in order to look at them. It just isn't a good way to organize and wasted a lot of time. I need to buy a better organize for the tips.

👤I thought the set came with things to keep the bags closed so the icing wouldn't go in the wrong direction. I thought it was something that I should bring to others attention if they aren't paying enough attention. I assumed that this one would have come with them since it seems like a large complete set. I would have gotten a different set for that reason alone.

The image shows her first attempt at piping. She thinks she can master the rose nozzle on the next use, even after using it just one time. 👤Wow! I was surprised when I bought this kit last minute for my first attempt at a tier wedding cake. The items inside the packaging were in good shape despite being a little beat up. The kit allowed me to create a masterpiece despite the fact that the cake leveler did not work as I needed it to, but it did allow me to create a masterpiece. It's a good investment for a beginner.

👤I don't know how they fit all the stuff into this box, but once you open it, there's no way to put them back in the box for storage. Before you open, have a plan. The products are mediocre in quality, like you bought them from the dollar store. It is still an ok value for all the things you get, especially if you will use every single item in there. If you don't want to use all the items in there, then it's better to just buy them individually and get better color coordinated tools. This would be a great gift for your niece who is 13 to 17 years old. There are a lot of things that are better quality and cheaper at Ross/Marshall's or Fred Meyer. I just started to notice the cake tools at the stores after I bought this box.

👤I use a lot of different types of paints. Even though I take many precautions with covering my art, I sometimes get dust particles on the top of it. The cover has eliminated that problem. I bought it on Amazon and use it over a large rack. The zippers are very strong. I don't have to remove the entire cover to access different areas on my shelves. Just put it on either side.
