👤I like to bake. The majority of desserts require extract. It's expensive to have the extract of iva. It is not as good as imitation vanilla extract. I can't tell the difference between this stuff and pure vanilla extract. If you don't want to pay $8 for 2oz of pure extract but also don't want a 4oz bottle, try this stuff. It also smells good.
👤I thought I was buying a fake extract. I didn't know it was a different extract with a cocoa flavor. The product tastes good in what I've used it for, but not when I'm making cupcakes or buttercream. I think it was my fault for not realizing it was not what I thought it was.
👤This is a cheaper alternative to pure vanilla extract. I only use it in recipes that have chocolate in them because you can smell the chocolate flavor in it. The end result was that you couldn't tell the difference between this extract and pure vanilla, for the recipes I've used it in.
👤I haven't tried this yet. I'm not sure if I want to try it. It appears that a lot of the extract has spilled out over the bottle. There is no evidence of a spill in the shipping box. I can tell you that this means the spill happened before shipping. I wonder if I have been sold a previous return that should not have been sold at full price.
👤This is an amazing alternative to store-bought chocolate. I'll never use plain vanilla again. It smells amazing, tastes amazing, and doesn't add color. So good!
👤Rodelle's Baker's Extract is a staple in my cupboard, and I am an avid baker. I can't stand the taste of the imitation junk in the grocery store. Rodelle's tastes ten times better than the imitation stuff and works out to cost the same. Make sure you shake it because the cocoa settles in the bottom. I don't measure this anymore because it's too good to limit it to 1 percent in my cookies.
👤The bottle I received had an orange lid taped on, but no inner seal. I asked if they had a different bottle. I am not sure if this has been tampered with.
👤I can't afford it, but we need it if we bake. I have tried this brand and it seems to work. The price is decent for now.
The rich and creamy flavor of banana can be infused into all your favorite recipes. The 16-ounce container is convenient for larger amounts of bulk recipes, and the flip-top makes it easy to disbursing one drop at a time. Premium banana extract is a ready-to-use format that is specifically made for chefs. It is made with no added MSG. Add imitation banana extract to desserts.
👤For health reasons, I have to eat a low-fat diet. I don't want to load up on carbs because I am very overweight and workout twice a day. I eat a gallon of ice cream on my off days, but I don't go on a low-fat diet. I miss the Sonic Banana. I use this extract to make a more grown up morning smoothie consisting of a scoop of low-fat meal replacement powder like Orgain, Purely inspired, or even Slim Fast Diabetic, as well as a few other ingredients. Adding a little bit of monk fruit or stevia extract will make the blend sweeter. I love it. It is one of my favorite post workout meals because it tastes like a dessert and is very satisfying. I read reviews before buying. The flavor was watered down and you had to use a lot. Others said the flavor was artificial. The flavor is good and I am using a small amount for a smoothie. I don't know how much ice I add because my smoothie size is different. I have made at least five or six smoothie with the banana extract and it still looks full.
👤I tried to order natural banana extract, but it sold out in my cart. I went with imitation. It was a blessing in disguise. I use real bananas in a lot of things and this will enhance the banana flavor in the best way. The smell of banana shot into my nose when I opened the seal. Natural extract is not subtle. I used to get banana runts from candy dispensers at the store. I used it in my banana pancakes, and I think the high heat made the flavor go away. It tasted great when I used it for my toddler's date balls and when I used it for a smoothie. If you heat it, it is best to use it as a flavor enhancer to things that already have banana. It works better than the natural stuff for things that don't need heating.
👤Maybe I can't get the amount to use correct, but I don't like it either, or it has a fake banana flavor. It's not candy banana flavor. More powerful. I'm glad I have it. It's not as good as I had hoped. Again. Maybe I'm not using the correct amount. I was hoping it would be better than it is. It's not a good idea to say taste is subjective. Maybe you will like it more than I did. Even though it wasn't my favorite, it was definitely a solid 4 stars from me.
👤It is so strong. So strong. So strong. It is hard to use. Just show the bottle to your recipe and then put it back in the pantry. That should be enough.
👤It was used to make some banana bread. Very delicious! I couldn't tell if there was a banana in the bread.
👤I don't know why I bought that bottle. 16 ounces. What was I thinking? I will be able to pass this down to my heirs.
Olive Nation gives baked goods, ice cream, and drinks with green apple flavor. How do you use it? Green Apple Natural Flavor can be added to many things. It can be used in making beer and wine. Green Apple Natural Flavor works best in food applications that contain liquid. Green Apple Natural Flavor works best in food applications that contain liquid. What are other applications for Green apple Natural Flavor? Green Apple Natural Flavor can be added to water.
👤The best Apple wine was made with this flavoring. It tasted like green apple jolly ranchers. You should be careful about how much you add. 2.5 Oz was added to 5 gallons of wine. I will buy again.
👤I had tried Loran's green apple flavor, but it wasn't as strong as I wanted it to be. This is a better value. I'm using this to make a mock apple pie, and it only takes 1 to 1.5 grams of this to make it. A cup of erythritol, a cup of apple pie spices, a cup of erythritol, a cup of powdered stevia, and a cup of malic acid complete the flavor profile. If you want, you can add a bit of blackstrap molasses.
👤A little bit goes a long way. It does taste like green apple but use less of what you would normally use. It works well in sparkling water.
👤This helped bring out the flavor of Green Apple wine. I wish it wasn't so expensive.
👤I didn't realize that if you don't want to use a gasoline based product, don't purchase. It is not returnable. $13+ dollars is Entirely propylene glycol with "natural flavors".
👤There is no natural apple in it. The site says that it cannot be returned.
👤A few drops taste like apple.
👤I used it to make gummies.
The Frontier Co-op organic mint flavor is a great way to add a refreshing mint flavor to beverages and desserts. Simply add by the dash and let the fresh taste of mint cool you down. They are committed to the health and welfare of the environment and everyone who produces and consumes their botanical products.
👤I make my own ice cream with almond milk, heavy whipping cream, and monk fruit powder. I add chocolate chips to my bowl and it has a mint flavor.
👤I am sorry about the 2 star rating. I had high hopes for this oil, but it added a distinct soybean flavor to everything I put it in. I don't know where this flavor is coming from. The mint flavor was very strong for me, but the soybean flavor was very strong for me. I couldn't finish anything that had the flavor in it. My brother didn't mind at all. I'm sticking with regular alcohol mint extracts. Sorry.
👤It was an organic product and the price point was great. I thought it would be watered down, but the mint really came through. This was added to a chocolate cake mix and cream cheese frosting to make a mint chocolate chip birthday cake. A little goes a long way, so I have plenty for a lot of things.
👤I love this stuff. I use it to make mint green smoothies. I used alcohol based extracts in the past but it was hard to get enough mint flavor without getting a chemical flavor as well. You can't notice that I put oil in my smoothie. I prefer the mint blend over a straight peppermint flavor. It's definitely worth trying.
👤Great flavor! I drink tea all day. My secret recipe? Add a small amount of mint oil and a few drops of natural stevia for a sweeter drink. Excellent! It was refreshing and soothing at the same time.
👤Oops. Mint isn't peppermint. Does it say spearmint on the bottle? This is good if you like spearmint.
👤I like this stuff. I put a couple drops into my Swell bottle, add a couple inches of water, put it in the freezer for a couple days, and then I have a long- lasting, refreshing ice cube built into my bottle that lasts at least the whole day.
👤Came without a label. There could be something in there. Everything should have a label on it. Returning!

👤This extract is one of my favorites. The extract of the fruit or nut and the alcohol are used as the flavor carriers in almost all flavor recipes. There is a The Simply Organic brand's recipe is different in two ways. It uses orange oil instead of orange extract, and it uses sunflower oil instead of alcohol. This is the reason their flavor is so full and intense. I'm sticking with it because I've tasted and used the difference. If I can get my lazy self motivated, I'll have to check out other flavors from Simply Organic.
👤I had to switch to a low sugar diet, but I still like a good drink. I went to Amazon to find a recipe that called for orange flavor. The low-sugar margaritas are delicious.
👤This is the best orange flavor. It's fresh and natural. The others have a lot of alcohol in them and it tastes fake. It tastes like you just added fresh orange juice to your recipes. I use it to make an orange chocolate ganache. It is amazing. Nothing else holds a candle to it.
👤The extract was disappointing. The smell of orange is strong, but it gets lost in baking. I tried to double the amount but it still didn't have a nice orange smell. I keep my baking extracts in the fridge to keep them from going flat, but that didn't work with this one. It works great for orange icing. It makes a great glaze and frosting by mixing butter and powdered sugar. I think it's not stable when it's in the oven. I would have liked to give it five stars, but a flavoring that has no flavor in the finished product earns only two. It can be used for frostings.
👤My wife tried a recipe for an orange cake and it tasted good, but the texture was too wet and moist and didn't have any texture to it other than mush. We sat down to figure out how to fix it. I remember that orange extract is made and that cake is a favorite in the house. It doesn't last more than a day.
👤I used this to make a recipe. The dough was added with 1 tsp. To the glaze. It works great and I can't wait to use it for holiday baking. It is appropriate for kids and AA guests as well.
👤This product has a delicious orange flavor. The bottles are not sealed. The smell of orange was all over when I received it. The bottle was wrapped in bubble foil and had a piece of sellotape around it. See the photo. After removing the mtal cap, there was no safety seal as usual. I can't be sure that this is not tampered with or something else in that bottle. Please make this better.
👤I was told at a young age that this was the best orange extract on the market. I've tried a lot of different orange extracts to see if I can find one that's even better, but I haven't been able to find one that's even better. I end up using less and getting better flavor when I use Simply Organic's extract.
The extract contains only natural ingredients. They use traditional methods to extract the high quality fruit. They produce their extracts according to precise standards, where each herb is taken from a specific plant. The dried material / solvent ratio is 1:3. They use only Certified Organic or ethicallysourced wild harvested raw material, vegetable palm glycerin, and crystal clear artesian water. The best herbal glycerite on the market is the Raspberry. Love for plants and respect for nature are what this is made of.
👤I drink this with my evening tea. It's great.
👤Will never order again after I received a perfectly sealed empty envelope.
Any recipe that needs to be pure white can be baked with a premium baking staple. It does not bake or freeze out. Corn Syrup is Kosher.
👤I thought I would save a few bucks by trying a imitation of pure vanilla extract. It would be a safe choice because this one was so highly rated. Huge mistake. Don't use this project if you're used to pure vanilla. It has a strong taste that is noticeable in cookies where I only used 1/2tsp.
👤After opening the bottle, a powerful chemical/ anti-freeze aroma lifted into the air and into my nose. I put a few drops on my finger to make sure I wasn't imagining anything. I was not imagining the horror. My husband has a limited sense of smell and taste. He was able to smell and taste the foul liquid. I apologized to any aquatic wildlife that may encounter it when I dumped it down the drain. I feel like a genius, having ordered this without checking to make sure it was natural, instead of man-made garbage. It's impossible to believe that these 4/5 star reviewers are drinking this hell juice. Order at your own risk.
👤I think Amazon never tasted actual Vanilla Extract. It doesn't taste good. The description is misleading because I have a specific need for it. This is not an extract or a sugar based flavor.
👤We have been buying this product from Walmart for years. It was out of stock at the supermarket and so I went to check it out on Amazon. I was happy that I checked here. I was always buying a bigger bottle for the same price as a small bottle. The product is free of corn syrup and has a pure fragrance that works great for baking and even in smoothies.
👤I knew that some customers hated the smell when I read the reviews. I decided to take a chance because others loved it. If you're in the same situation, learn from my mistake. This stuff is not nice. It made my cookie frosting taste better. The rest of the bottle was poured down the drain. Even though it costs an arm and a leg, I'll go back to natural vanilla extract. The savings are not worth much.
👤The fact that this bottle of Watkins vanilla is clear bothered someone who asked about it being a color. It was power of suggestion for me as well, when I read their concern. I bought it because a verified purchaser assured me that the clear was just as good as the Watkins brown vanilla. I was happy I did. I get a large bottle of Watkins, which is the best, because I use a lot of vanilla. This was a big deal. It's better than cheaper brands. Don't worry about the colorless. It's not possible to get this much flavor for such a low price. You'll like it if you try it.
👤I opened the package and there was no lid on the product. It wasn't hard to miss that it wasn't included since it was just that and some hot chocolate and an air bag. I'm not sure how someone can pack a bottle with no lid and not be able to close it when they use it. I saw a wet spot on the box when I turned the flavoring upside down, and since I won't use something that I don't know what was done to it, I have to throw it out. I'm not sure if it's an issue with the seal or if it's a hole. Since there was no lid, you have to wonder if someone did something to it. They still shipped it to me. I had to call to get another one. Customer service sent out another one and they decided to hold up another order of mine and ship them both. I sat here waiting for nothing to happen. When I called on Sunday, I was told that it was held up in transit and that I had no answer for why they were shipped together. I wanted to know why I had to have an item replaced every time. I didn't get a response. So called on Monday. I got a rude rep who kept asking if I was calling about the vanilla even after I told her why I was calling. Since they shoved them together, I'm calling about 2 items. She called logistics after getting annoyed with me. I want to speak to a manager because I don't know when it's going to happen. She didn't want to have to tell me or get a manager because she didn't want to ask them about the lost package. I had to go through it all over again after calling back. I got a new bottle with an actual lid after a manager apologized and sent me one. She gave me a $10 credit and gave me a refund because the tips were not in stock until the 20th, and she said she found a set for 11.93. I got off the phone and followed her link and didn't get any of the tips I wanted. I spent $12 on 2 tips, but they were advertised at $3 for 3, even though I couldn't find them anywhere. We will see if I get my other 2 tips by friday since the whole order was a mess.
Premium, lively pepper-minty flavor comes from the highest-quality ingredients. You can add large amounts to any bulk recipe with the 16-fluid-ounce flip-top size, and it's kosher. This product is made from the oil of real peppermint leaves and has an extra clean smell and flavor. Adding mint flavor to drinks is possible with the use of pure peppermint extract. The performance and quality of the extract is unparalleled.
👤Very disappointing! The manufacturer said that this was the same as their smaller bottles. This is a lie. There is more water in the large bottle than there is oil. The amounts and volume are not correct. The ingredients are listed according to their amount. The number one ingredient is alcohol. The oil is the last one in the larger bottle and the water is the first in the smaller bottle. That makes this very watered down. If you purchase this, I would suggest doubling the amount of measure in your recipes. Either way, skip this purchase. It was very disappointing.
👤This was a week. It's on the label, but late it has any SMELLTHEY sell it. "PURE PEPPERMINT EXTRACT" is not the real thing, it's just the name of the substance.
👤I buy small bottles of McCormick all the time. This is nothing like this.
👤I decided to listen to the majority of reviewers rather than the minority that said this didn't have much peppermint flavor. The minority have it right. The extract has a weak flavor. I would expect better from him. I don't write a lot of reviews but I want to add my voice to the minority so don't buy this! A big bottle, even at a good price per ounce, is still worthless if it doesn't have enough flavor to do the job it's intended for.
👤Small bottles of McCormick extract are typically found in stores, but this product is not as concentrated. I use alcohol based, watersoluble peppermint extract to mix with white distilled vinegar for a natural ant spray. I'm making larger batches because my formula is popular with friends. I thought a big bottle of extract would be more economical than small bottles. It was a bad decision. The scent of this product is very weak compared to the small bottle formula of peppermint. The spray used to leave a mint scent. The spray leaves the surfaces smelling like a bakery and I need to add more. Not desirable. I'm going back to the consumer versions. Is anyone in need of a cloyingly sweet minty extract?
👤The smell of mint is offensive to insects and rodents. It was perfect. I use it to clean countertops at our lake house, and it's a great substitute for a cleaner made of steel. It makes it shine. Who knew?
👤It's a large amount of liquid, 1 pt, but the flavor is much weaker than smaller, more expensive bottles of McCormick Anise Extract I have bought at a Super Market. I would have the Super Market extract, but I had to add more of this. I didn't know if the difference was greater or less, but I think the 1 pt extract from Amazon is a better buy. Since I only use the extract once a year for Pizzelles, I will have to keep the rest until next year and hope that it doesn't degrade or I misplace it.
👤The produce is called "pure peppermint extract" but it isn't pure at all and can't be legal. I don't know why it asks you to rate the thickness of the extract, since water isn't thick at all. I haven't even bothered using it in cooking yet because it smells so weak. The bottle pours right out of the bottle when I put the lid back on after removing the seal. Don't buy.
If you like fresh strawberries, you will love their strawberry extract. Adding it to your desserts will intensify the strawberry flavor. It can be used to give a boost to the flavor of your strawberry jams and preserves. Natural flavors, alcohol, and strawberry extractives are included.
👤The strawberry flavor is wonderful. It is very potent. You need to use an eye dropper to measure, unlike other less strong flavors. If you get a flavor that is bitter or similar to alcohol, you used too much. I use it to flavor iced tea. I only use about 1/3 of a liter of flavoring for a gallon of tea. The normal measures in a recipe will not substitute for the strength of this flavoring. If you don't believe in the strength, I'd like to know if you've ever tasted the extract from the bottle. If you love baking cookies, cakes or tea, you'll probably think that the taste of vanilla is terrible. If you think yours tastes bad, try using less. You should experiment with a little until you know how much you need for a particular recipe. For a gallon of tea, I can use mango extract, strawberry, watermelon, and apricot, but I need to experiment with the last one. Hope that helps you. It's a good thing.
👤The different flavors of this product are reviewed in different ways. It doesn't matter if you love it or hate it. I ordered a red berry and it was terrible. I threw the bottle in the recycling bin after pouring it down the drain. The smell was bad. I can't think of a better way to describe it. I tasted a little of it and it was too much alcohol and not a red raspberry flavor at all. I would say there is something not stable in the manufacturing of these extracts. It seems that some batches are getting too much alcohol while others are getting too much flavoring and for those that get it just right. OliveNation should start looking at how their product is made. There is a place that should be addressed. I will be looking elsewhere until there is improvement. Thank you for your time.
👤Key Lime is their only dream flavor. This is the worst thing I have ever used. There is no lime about it. It had an after taste that kept me up all night. Do yourself a favor and not order this. I am usually a positive reviewer, but there was nothing positive to say about this product. I tried to use this to get that flavor, but it was an epic failure because we can't find key limes here most of the year. The whole recipe was thrown away. My husband helped me dump it. We don't throw food away easily.
👤I know why I used Cooks Pure Almond Extract, after getting this brand. The first one is alcohol, followed by water and finally oil of bitter almond. Oil of Bitter Almond, Alcohol and water are the ingredients of the Cook's brand. The brand from Olive Nation is barely up to standard because the first ingredient is always the primary one. The bottle has proof to it. The Olive Nation brand smells like alcohol, not almonds, and the Cooks brand has no alcohol smell. I thought the Olive Nation brand would be a less expensive alternative, but once again, you get what you pay for. I can't recommend this brand unless you use far more to get the same flavor as from another brand that has a superior ingredient priority.
It's easy to keep on hand for any recipe that calls for maple flavor. The maple flavor is strong and clean. Maple extract is all natural. It's great to make cookies, cakes and frostings. Add baked beans to your diet.
👤They say it is pure on the label. The label doesn't say anything about it being pure.
👤I wonder if the reviews are real. I am appalled at the lack of flavor in this item. It does not have a maple syrup. It doesn't have any flavor at all. It is a shame that the maple flavor of Totonac is no longer available. Spice House, Alan Tetreault, and King Arthur were all good, but this one was better. Spices is the next best thing. If you can tolerate the fact that it has propylene glycol, then you can tolerate maple flavoring.
👤I should have ignored the negative reviews for this extract since it doesn't have any flavor. It smells wonderful and rich in the bottle, but it doesn't add anything to a recipe. I wanted to make ice cream with natural maple extract. I wanted to increase the flavor of the ice cream by half the amount of real maple syrup I use. I don't like to say it but the flavor of the Imitation Maple Extract is better than this. I have to keep looking for a real maple extract that isn't a waste of money. Wesselmann was named after Deborah Lee Wesselmann.
👤I've been using this extract for a month. The "maple extract" label is not correct as this tastes more like pancake syrup than maple extract. The packaging needs to be addressed. The product glues itself shut when placed finger tight. I've kept this product at room and refrigerator temperatures. I've tried everything from heating the lid under water to freezing the product to having a man try to remove the lid. There was no success except for slicing open hands and fingers. I used a pair of pliers to crush the lid and popped one of my wine corks in the top instead. I've never had so much drama from a cooking product. I'll find another source once this is used up. It was too much effort and disappointment for the low cost. If you've reached a point of desperation, don't use this.
👤I can't give it a 4 or 5 star because it has a great maple flavor. Too much alcohol to flavor ratio is in favor of alcohol. To get a good maple flavor in only a small amount of whatever I'm flavoring, I have to use 2 to 3 tbsp. I would stick to my 2oz bottle of non alcoholic extract, as I feel like I'm getting the same amount of flavor either way. More is not always better.
👤There is no maple foliage. Look somewhere else. A chocolate and confections food truck is owned by us. I wanted to make a Maple Butter Candied Pecan fudge. Most of the extracts we have through Olive Nation are fine. This was lacking in flavor. I needed to leave a review. It smells great when you open it. I used half the bottle with a cup of maple syrup. The product will probably be re-made with another extract. It is an Amazon Choice Product and it has 4 stars.
The essential oils are highly concentrated. Ice cream, chocolate, cake batter, ice cream, gelato, etc. Cold pressed and alcohol free. Both bake-proof and freeze-thaw-stable.
👤Great for people on a diet. Add almond flour to bread and it will taste like cornbread. It's great with a tamale pie.
👤It tasted like corn. I missed my cornbread because I'm a Southern girl. This made me feel better.
👤This extract was purchased to make "corn bread". I didn't see much difference when I used this product compared to when I didn't use anything. I may double or triple the amount used next time. Not worth the price.
👤This is a great addition to my diet. It gives a decided authentic corn-flavor to dishes in which I've added cauliflower, almond flour, or coconut flour. A little goes a long way.
👤This is a game-changing change for anyone who is low in calories, high in sugars, or missing cornbread. I added 1/2 capful of this extract to a typical 90 second mug bread recipe and microwaved it in a bowl. I was very happy. It was great with my salmon and dandelion greens. I paid over $20 for a bottle of extract, but I don't regret it one bit. You just have to treat yourself. For life, and loving it!
👤I have been following a diet that is low in fat. When I first started, most of the recipes were limited and the chance to throw bad food into the trash was very high. As the community has continued to grow, amazingly creative foodies have published outstanding recipes for nearly any craving a person might have. I wanted to make a ketogenic version of tamales, so I ordered this corn flavoring. The product made my almond flour and mozzarella cheese based masa taste exactly like it was made from the traditional corn based recipe, and it was absolutely delicious. I increased the amount to taste from 2 to 3. I increased the amount to 3 cups. The little bottle is past the shoulder. This stuff is expensive. I wonder why? Even though it works like magic, the star rating is 5 stars for flavor, 1 or less for value.
👤I bought this product to use. This was the best option because you can't eat corn on Keto. I used the recommended amount, but I could barely taste corn, it was corn bread for crying out loud! It is EXPENSIVE and it is also very EXPENSIVE. I couldn't find any other manufacturer that made corn extract that was similar to this one on Amazon. I'll try using a little bit more next time. If you can go without it, I don't recommend wasting money.
👤This is good. I used it to make low-fat corn muffins and couldn't believe the difference it made. It only takes a small amount of time because it is very concentrated. I've found through the years that you get what you pay for. Would definitely recommend.
👤I love this product. I use it as a substitute for "corn bread" on my diet.
