Best Baking Gift Set for Girls

👤My granddaughter wanted to bake immediately after receiving this gift. She is tall for her age, the hat just fit, the apron fit well, the mitts are small, and the tools are small. I was looking for more than the mitt and this was disappointing. It would have been nice if the tools were real, because I can't find a toddler and adult size mitt for her.

👤I bought these for our sons. They've been having fun. Everyone preferred the Nerf Laser Ops set. The guns are great. The feel is excellent. They don't feel cheap. They are thinner than the other sets and feel good in your hands. The sounds effects are very good, and the LCD makes it easy to see how much health you have. Not having to swap batteries is huge, and it's not fun doing it 8 times for the guns and vests. The charging stand works well to keep everything organized. The reload button is easy to use and we don't like it. The gun should have something on it. Our boys turn their bodies so you can't see the vest. Things that could be improved include: - After each game, you have to turn everything off, re pair, and choose a team. There should've been a quicker way to reset health. - It's hard to know when you hit someone. The vest flashes and vibrates, but it would have been better to have a sound effect. We may not be able to get other friends to buy the same set for larger games because of the steep price.

👤This game is enjoyable. We started off with 15 lives, because I was chasing my children at night. We all know who won. Mom... The kids can't beat me, I started with 15 lives and ended with 15 lives, the vest and guns light up, and I have a flashlight on the guns. The guns and vest are loud. It's really cool. You can go up to 99 lives, but that's too many for me. I am trying to lose weight but I am not playing that many lives. It's funny.

👤I only read reviews with low stars to find out the dislikes of the product. If others are like me, this review is unlikely to be read. We have used other laser tag systems, but this set is far superior. I initially bought this system because I liked the fact that it charged instead of using batteries. I was surprised by the additional options of gun-type during play, as well as seeing your life left on your gun, instead of having to look down at your chest plate. Playing at dusk or nighttime is the absolute best because of the easy loading system. If you buy the laser tag set, you will be happy. It beats sitting in front of the tv or computer or phone during this time of isolation.

👤When you shell out money for a faulty item, and you don't get the product work, customer service has to reach out again and admit to their fault, apologize, and work with you. They offered to deliver a replacement in person and make sure everything was working. We had issues with the set the first time we tried it. The charging port for one of the vests wasn't working after they all charged for a few hours. We switched it to a different port and it started charging. We went to start it, and everything was fine until it came time to pair the devices, and the blue gun was not compatible with the bllue vest. The green gun and the blue gun were only used to complement the green vest. The blue gun stopped reloading after we began playing, so we had to stop. When we were shooting people, nothing was happening to their health, and when we would shoot ourselves, the other team would lose points. We put the guns/vests together. We only played with 3 people at a time, since the blue gun was not working, and the game lasted more than 5 minutes, everyones guns just kept saying please pair, please pair again, despite the guns already being pairs. I contacted the seller via email and they said they had never heard of the problem before I sent them videos. They sent me a reply two days later, despite their automatic emails getting sent out asking me if I had any issues with the product, and they are leaving at 1pm. I got their phone number and it was a voice number that I could call. I got a call back from an individual who said to send him an email, which turned out to be a fake. I checked the site and saw that the item was taken down, but luckily I got another email about the product and I responded to it. The seller said they would give me a free set if I returned the current one. I'm not sure how it's free if I paid for it. I contacted Amazon to return it. The premise sounded perfect, because all the other guns took batteries that were rechargeable, and these were the only guns that did not. It was a let down, and the customer service aspect did not help. The other two reviewers of this item seem to be disingenuous. The 3 guns that did work worked well.

I had to take the parts out and wrap them in something else because I couldn't wrap the present. The product is great, but the packaging is terrible.

👤I bake a lot with my child. She used the full sized kitchen utensils. She loves having her own and they are easier for her. She can roll better because her hands are closer together. She loved rolling the crust and buttering the edges, so we made her a galette. The cinnamon rolls were made with the rolling pin and pastry brush. The rubber spatulas are great for spreading butter. The pieces of silicone have not been damaged.

The pipping pen is a set if three plastic bags that are not easy for a young child to use and it is not going to last long even though it can possibly be washed a couple of times. I walked into my local department store and saw some items for sale. I saw a pen that was designed to be a pen that you press down, which is a better option for your children to use, and that could have been included in the box.

👤I think this is a good set for baking with kids. We practice Montessori at home, and we were looking for a set up that would allow our 3 YO to cook a recipe from start to finish by herself. She can use the cake pan herself because it fits in the oven. The manufacturer should improve the recipe cards. The weakest link in the bundle is these cards. They reference the tools at the bundle, but they don't have an electric mixer. They are too complex for small kids to follow, with too many steps crammed onto a small card. The set needs simple recipes, reference only the tools provided, and pictures of the tools and ingredients to make it easy for kids to follow along. This may be too much to ask, but slightly healthier baking recipes would also be appreciated. The choice of utensils. The Silicone baking dish and cups are easy to clean. The wooden ones are cheap. I found a higher quality set on Amazon and am using them as a back up. The set could include an oven mitt. It's a good price, so I didn't mind buying an oven mitt to complete what we needed for baking. We had a lot of fun with it.

👤A 6 year old received this gift. The oven mitt was too small to fit any child over 3 years old and it was not insulated to be used as an actual mitt. The pot holder is the same. If the apron straps had been made with Velcro, any child would have been able to put the apron on himself. They need someone to tie the apron on the child. Not the most satisfying purchase for me.

👤The cart is cute. It's a great deal because it comes with so much food. It's cute but not as good as I wanted it to be. I've always thought that the products of Doug andMelissa must be superior because of their higher price point, but based on this item, that's not the case. The cart is a bit flimsy. KidKraft items are sturdy and I have purchased several of them. The cart feels like it will break easily. The construction was very easy until I got to three separate steps where the holes were too far down. The night before xmas, you have to create a knew screw hole in the particle board. I would have put this together in 30 or 25 minutes if it weren't for those holes. It was very easy until then. If your kid really wants a food cart, buy it because it comes with a lot of extra food. KidKraft's items should be checked first if your child is rambunctious or rough with toys. They will last three times longer.

👤I bought this cart after my daughter played with it at a toy store and kept bringing it up for months. I bit the bullet when Christmas came around. I was concerned that my daughter would not be interested in this item since it is a lot more expensive. She and her brother still play with this four months later. It is well made and thought out, just like all the other items. It doesn't have any annoying sounds, and only has a small bell to ring. It includes hotdogs and buns, popsicles, soda cans, frozen ice, ice cream sandwiches, and pretzels. Everything is in the drawers. My daughter is spending time organizing the drawers and preparing orders for her customers. The sign on the front of the cart can be flipped around so you can be in either "hot dog cart" or "ice cream cart" mode. If you have a toy cash register, you can pretend to pay for things. My younger son's Fisher Price Food Truck is where we usually play with this, and both kids share their food items and get to taste their creations. We have toy plates in our kitchen. The stuffed animals and dolls get some food. Even though it takes up some space in the play room, I would buy it again because it has been a good toy for both kids.

👤The ice cream/hot dog stand is very popular with my 3 year old twins. Everyone knows the thought and quality that goes into all of the products of the couple. It is definitely worth every penny, considering all the food pieces you get. The popsicle and ice cream sandwiches had little sticks that came out when you put them upside down so you could mix and match flavors. The sliding door on the stand is a mock of a real food stand. It rolls. The detail that goes into these toys is impressive. This is a family favorite. My 10 year old and 5 year old boys have been playing together a lot. My husband and I have been forced to eat many different hotdog and ice cream cookie creations. From across the house, we were summoned from the jingle of the bell announcing the food stand was open. This was a great purchase.

👤These rust so bad that it's easy to clean off hand washing. A stream of rust pours out after you wash them out of the dishwasher.

👤The large flat pan has been used twice by me. The first time, it started to rust. I've never put it in the dishwasher. I was trying to remove it from the oven when it folded. These pans are flimsy. If I could, I would return them. The surface was not hard. That's all.

👤These pans are okay. Its non-greasy. The bottom of the pans burns easily because it is not made of the good non-stick material. I only used them once and will post an update after a lot of use. I am not excited about them.

👤I bought this set because my daughter loved playing with her barbie pans and utensils. She would mix things and microwave them to make decorations. She can make tiny food that we can actually eat with this set. That's true, but it's not as great as I had expected. I thought "small" would mean "quick and easy". The first recipe required us to bake a small plate of food for 20 minutes. We lost half of it because it was a mess when we tried to cut it. The same thing happened when I tried the same recipe again. The tiny measuring spoons are very tedious to use when you need a lot of wee-spoons. When the recipe turns out to be delicious, there's only one small bite as a reward for all your hard work. I don't feel like it's worth the time or the energy that goes into it, even though I appreciate the cuteness of the set.

👤This is a cute set. It is very small. It seems to come with most of the things you need, but it can be confusing because recipes don't correspond to the items. The cake recipe calls for 1 and 1/2 small spoons, but the smaller spoons are larger. It may be hard for kids to understand guestimation. Some of these items take as long to prepare or cook as their regular sized counterparts, so you're not necessarily saving yourself time with these tiny snacks. Some of the recipes seem very intensive for that size. This seems like a fun project that could quickly fall to the wayside but is definitely eye catching.

👤I gave this to my son for Christmas. He is not interested in many things, with the exception of LEGOs. The little robot kit is small. He asked if he could open it while I was in the shower. I was expecting this little kit to keep him calm until he needed help. The instructions from the robot were enough to give me some sweet, mercy solitude for the entire shower and beyond. He put the whole thing together on his own. If you take one wheel off, it will go in a circle. He attached a marker to the gripping arm to draw designs while going round and round. The robot was dismantled and put back together. He opened it two days ago. He is learning some engineering and cause/effect basics while he is at it. I went back to Amazon to see if there were any more robot kits. I would scoop them up as soon as I saw them.
