Best Baking Glass Bowls

👤One of the three bowls threw itself out of the refrigerator and ran against the floor. This is the replacement and it looks like the suicidal one.

👤A bowl with a tight lid and plenty of empty room will keep soup from boiling over. When I cook wet food, I put it in a bowl and eat it out of a tray with a piece of silicone sheet to keep it from sliding. The 3 I bought have survived several slips into the sink and onto the counter. When I wash my hands with a brush, I push it back into the rounded corner of the sink, giving me a good grip. These might last me a long time. They are made in the USA and the quality of Chinese garbage is very poor. Is there no engineers in China to design things? The simplest things made in China are not good. I had a spatula fall apart.

👤There is a different coding number on the bottom of my Pyrex bowls. This one has a lot of small bumps, like spatter, which catch my wash sponge when I clean it. It seems ok.

👤I own three different sizes of mixing bowls. I use them for everything. I like the shape and how sturdy they are. Unless I need a deep, narrow bowl, I gravitate to the mixing bowls.

👤This product is not real. The bowls are not advertised on Amazon or printed on the package. The largest bowl is labeled 5 quarts and holds 3 1/2 quarts. The next small size is marked 3 quarts and it holds 1 and 1/2 quarts. I bought this set of bowls because they were large. None of them have what they are said to have. One of them has a small dent. A big disappointment. They shouldn't be allowed to sell this product on Amazon.

👤Not happy with the product. When I receive it, I can tell it is not cheap because of the fact that the bowls are rusted and it doesn't rust. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

👤If you're looking for a metal mixing bowl, I would recommend the ones from the cuisinart company, they are cheaper and more flimsy than the ones from these bowls. The only advantage this set has is the two extra smaller bowls, but it's not really worth paying more and getting lower quality bowls in exchange for the two extra small ones.

👤I discovered a hole in the largest bowl when I used it for the first time. The matching lid was discarded. The fridge lid is too small to properly seal, after I used another bowl to make and store a dip. I was willing to overlook a defect in one bowl, but this is too much. Good luck to anyone who buys these.

👤I really like this set. I have to give this 3 stars because one of the bowls has some type of scratches all over the rim of it, and the box was damaged and even looked opened, first inclination. There are 2 small dents on the bottom. One of the smaller bowls has black marks on the back of it. I like how the tops fit, although they are cheap and look like they will crack if pulled off too harshly. I will keep this set until I can afford nicer things. I will post pictures.

👤A nice set with a variety of sizes is a good price. I was just looking for a few bowls that I could use to cook at home. When I bought these, I didn't read the description. I added the Amazon's Choice label to my cart because it was less expensive than most other sets. When I opened the box, I was surprised to see the different sized bowls and lids. The seals on the lids are strong. This set is a good one.

👤The bowls were in plastic sleeves and the packaging looked good. There is a I didn't expect to find food and a greasy spoon in one of the bowls. They need to close these packages. It's obvious that they have been opened and returned.

👤I bought this set of mixing bowls to replace my old set, which eventually got to the point where they needed to take a trip to the dumpster. My old bowls were flexible plastic, these are hard plastic and I like them better. The different sizes are very sturdy, they look great, stack inside of each other, and the yellow one became my new favorite popcorn bowl last night.

👤The plastic bowls are a great set of bowls. The plastic used in the bowls is heavy gauge, which is really nice. Plastic bowls are made from thin plastic which makes them flexible. The plastic in this set is thick enough to hold something solid. Some people may prefer the thinner plastic bowls, but as far as I am concerned, this set is just right. There is a bowl for every use you can think of.

👤I love this set. They are a heavy, smooth plastic material. I like that they don't bend, which is great for pouring heavy batter and mixing with a hand mixer. These are very smooth and don't have any dough or batter sticking to them. The sizes are perfect, a size for any and every thing. They don't have any smells. I have put them on the top rack of my dishwasher, but I don't know how they will react on the bottom shelf. They don't come out of the dishwasher with the white film. They have not faded from use. 👤I wanted Pyrex, but wanted to save. The plastic mixing bowls that I got had a high quality feel and were inexpensive. I haven't used my mixer yet but I think they will last for a long time. I think you could stand on them and they wouldn't give up. Very happy with the purchase. The picture I include has chopsticks in a bowl to give you an idea of their size. They have a sticky base and lip on top. It was unexpected. It's a good purchase.

They can't go in the dishwasher, but they can clean up. How many products have a lifetime warranty? Register for that very thing! There are many wonderful colors to choose from. 👤The picture is what I wanted but the video is what I got. 3 stars for inaccurate description, other wise seem to be a great quality. I wanted to like them. I am sending them back because they are not as big as I thought. The dimensions on the description are for the outside dimensions, not the inside, so they are a lot smaller than I need. The description says that they are deep in their eyes, but I don't think so. The size is not the main problem. These are not as deep as a cookie tray. They should be called deep trays. I hope this will help you not make the same mistake.

👤I needed a 9x13 glass pan to make a casserole and I needed it quick so I decided to look at Amazon and get this set, it came with 4 different sized pans and a bonus was they all came with lids. It was perfect for what I needed it for, but I knocked it off because it was hard to get the lid off. It can be a huge pain when I do use them, but most of the time I don't. I have only one complaint with this set, other than that they're great!

👤There are a lot of tiny bubbles in this bowl, but it's still good for mixing bake batter/doughs. It was easy to remove my bread dough from the sides of the bowl. The shape of it isn't as tall and rounded as most bowls, so your more rigid silicone spatulas work better. Not sure why I never buy glass mixing bowls before but, I liked this 1.5qt a lot and ordered a 6 piece set from Amazon that is not even coming back in stock for 1-2 months. The current price of $29 for the 6 piece set makes the wait well worth it. It is oven proof so you can mix your doughs and bake without the need for a pan or dish. I used a Silicone hot plate square thingie to keep the bowl in place on the counter, but it was a bit heavy for my hand, so I held the bowl with my fingers, even though it was a bit heavy for my hand.

I decided to buy the anchor hocking ones in 3 different sizes and can honestly say that they are far better quality than the standard pyrex ones and I like the bottoms of them. 👤I've been looking for a 1.5 liter mixing bowl for a year. I found this one through Amazon. It's a very useful size as a 2 liter bowl is too big and a 1 liter bowl is not big enough. Isn't it like the 3 bears? It's true! These bowls are made of solid glass. I have used them a lot because they are difficult to find. Very pleased with them. It was delivered in good condition and on time.

👤I really wanted to use this bowl. I got my wife a pouring glass bowl for Christmas earlier this year because she loves these. She opened it and was happy, so we washed it and made breakfast. She didn't complain, but the next time I used it, I noticed some very sharp edges along the handle, where molten glass poured out between the molds during manufacture of the piece. They trimmed them off and filed them down so that they wouldn't cut my hand on it easily, but it is sharp and uncomfortable, and if you use it for a long time, it will make your hand red and tender. I've considered getting my dremel out and sanding it down, but haven't wanted to jeopardize the integrity of the bowl. It's on the line between being annoying and being annoying enough to do something about it.

👤I only use this bowl to ferry microwaved hot water from my kitchen to my shave gear in the bathroom, and the sharp line on the underside of the handle at the top makes for an uncomfortable tote. I'm keeping the Dremel tool because it made quick work of smoothing this area out, but I think there's more to be done. It doesn't pour liquids well. It may be okay with batter, but not water. I don't care how careful I am, water ends up all over the counter. A Goodwill gift is likely in the near future. My Pyrex works well with water.

👤The bowl exploded and shattered while sitting alone. It had not been used in a while. Poor reviews. Pyrex was found to be replaced. There were a lot of reports of Anchor products shattering. It should be removed from the market.

👤I don't know what to say about this batter bowl, it's not the Anchor Hocking quality, I know. I have many pieces from Anchor, but never have I bought something with such poor quality. The bowl is damaged. The seam of the bowl is very sharp. There is a lip around the top of the bowl. My gut tells me that this is not real.

👤I need this to be a 2 cups water to 1 cup sugar ratio to make Hummingbird food. I used an accurate measuring cup to check the measurements. 7 cups of water is close to the 8 cup mark. It's almost impossible to pour liquid out without it spilling down the front of the batter bowl. It wouldn't be so bad if it were just water, but sugar syrup is sticky. I kept it because I needed a large handle, but I wish it didn't have these problems.

👤When my old one broke after 10 years of heavy use, it was not considered a big deal. This is one of the things I use a lot in my kitchen. It's a great size for a lot of things. I use it to cook rice, measure large amounts of liquids for soups, make iced tea, mix batter, make sauces, and store leftovers. It's sturdy, marked with numbers that won't wear off, and won't stain or react with food. When my first one broke, I was so relieved to find it still existed, because it was the best $2 I had ever spent at a yardsale.

👤Measure and pour stuff with this product. It fails at both. You would think this was made with the USA in the name. I don't know. In the USA! The printed measuring information on the side of the cup was almost completely gone after just a couple dishwasher cycles. Our Pyrex stuff has been getting washed in the dishwasher for over 15 years. The cup cannot pour liquid cleanly. It goes everywhere. The Pyrex cup has no issues pouring slowly and cleanly if you try to go slowly. I don't know if anyone makes a borosilicate measuring cup in the USA anymore, but this will be the last Bovado product I ever purchase. I'm going to stick with a name that I trust. Pyrex may be made in China, but I can still rely on the cup that is used to measure things.

👤I've been trying to get a 2-cup measuring cup for a while, but never got around to it, along with my 1-cup and 4-cup Pyrex glass measuring cups. I decided to get a glass casserole dish after I tried it out and liked it. All Pyrex glass products were the best when I was a child. I had an issue with my Pyrex glass casserole dish exploding, so I did some research before buying a replacement, and found out that they no longer produce the best quality glass products. The new company started using the cheaper soda-lime glass instead of the higher quality borosilicate glass after Pyrex was purchased. The quality of these 2 brands is vastly different. Bovado uses the higher quality borosilicate glass and their quality of workmanship is higher. This type of glass is more expensive, but it's also stronger, thicker and handles heat better than tempered soda-lime glass. The cup is made from high quality materials. It's very sturdy and has a level base to keep it from tipping. The handle is thicker and the spout is curved for easier pouring. Its measurement are marked in cups, ounces and liters. The writing is easy to read and accurate. I would highly recommend this measuring cup and the products from this company. Their quality is worth every penny, even though they are a bit more expensive.

👤Beautiful! Are you complaining that these are being slammed all over the place? Did you read the product information? It's not from Cornell. The old Corningware was back to the Cornflower pattern. The lifestyle of kitchens today is not the same as it was in the past. They are perfect for the new air fryers. I will put the bakeware in during preheat to avoid problems. Adding the results of the testing to the sales site would be a good idea, as would adding more information in the directions. These are 10X better than similar bakeware. Buy it!

👤The set was broken but I like it. They look like the sets my mom and grandma had. I would like to have that broken piece replaced. I only have to cook for myself and a 1 year old so I would use that one the most. Same day. On top of the broken baking dishes, I just went to use the middle sized one and noticed a small crack in the crevice of the dish. We just moved in and we have no other bakeware and this set is trash. Don't buy.

They sent us a new set, but it was broken. I called Amazon again and they sent me a new set, but the lid didn't fit. I am going to get my next set at the store. The sets are a little bit rough.

👤The bowl was broken when I opened the box. The glass lid on the 1.5 and 2.5 quart dishes don't sit flush when you set them on them. The casserole dishes were not made evenly. For what I need these for, they will be fine, but I expected more from the set.
