Best Baking Glass Cups

👤I was fed up with my Pyrex measuring cups dribbling warmed over coffee all over my clean counter. I found complaints that were similar to mine and recommendations for Anchor Hocking's unique spout design which prevents or eliminates the dribble when pouring. Wow! The first time I poured liquid out of these measuring cups, the weight of all those years of frustration was gone. I smiled so much I could not stop. Why had I waited so long? I threw my old Pyrex measuring cups in the recycle bin and have never looked back. I will always have a clean cup, even if I pick up a couple extra 2- and 4-cups. Don't even think about it, just click the BUY button and you will find the inner peace of never dribbling again. :

👤Disgraceful. I heard a loud shattering in my kitchen and came out to find that the largest of the set heads exploded without any provocation while sitting in my cupboard. Maybe these are fake, maybe it is just poor quality, but these are dangerous and should not be sold. The anchor should be ashamed of themselves.

👤The measuring cups are completely clear after 10 washes. The measures were washed off. I had a Pyrex set when I was in college. These lasted a week. My first set arrived with a chip in my lip, but Amazon made it easy to return it. I can't imagine how a failure like that could make it past the scrutiny of a respected brand.

👤I had these for a year and just stacking the smaller cup into the larger one shattered the larger 4 cup. See the photo. I have had my Pyrex 4 cup for 20 years and it is faded. This is a very dangerous choice.

👤The quality of glass is not good. It took just one wash inside the dishwasher to cause the red lettering and marks to fade and rub off the glass. I expected better quality from the company. These are cheap things. Buy something better if you save your money.

👤I like the set of measuring cups. I like the shape. They're taller with a narrower base and seem to be very sturdy. They seem like they'll last a long time. If you have to pour slowly into another container, they dribble terribly. If you have to pour slowly into other containers, they stink. Will look for another brand when these are over. Too bad, but they are nice.

👤My 1-cup measure from Anchor Hocking has been with me for 30 years. Its markings began to fade a year ago. When the spout on my 2-cup measure broke, I went back to Anchor Hocking for a long- lasting product. I expect the new measuring cups to last at least 30 years since I take care of them. The instructions clearly state not to use abrasives. The detergent is abrasive. It is hard to scrub by hand. These cups are made of glass which is more resistant to breakage. Read about the qualities of glass. The glass can fall into small pebbles, but they don't have sharp edges.

👤You can check with mineral oil since they have the same optical density, according to the internet. I put mineral oil in the pie pan and it didn't show the submerged portion of the lid. Just like it vanished. I checked to see if I knew anything about regular glass and borasilicate glass. I could see the edges of the regular glass item, but the Borosilicate disappeared again. I'm sure.

👤I ordered this because I often cook for one and often have leftovers to cook in the oven. I was worried about toxins in my food, especially if tomato sauce was involved, because I was using a lot of aluminum foil sheets as lids. No longer an issue. This item is oven-proof for reheating, dishwasher safe, and can even go from fridge to oven, although they recommend against temperature. I thought it would be hard to lift the lid with the oven mitt on, until I realized it was perfectly round. The "wings" stick out perfectly when you lift the lid. The European borosilicate glass is lab grade, and it feels really solid, and the lid stays on well due to its weight alone. I'm very happy with my purchase, and will definitely buy it again so I can have one to use while the other waits to be washed.

👤I bought the Simax after my Pyrex casserole dishes shattered when we lost a shelf in the pantry. Wow. So much better! The handles are better for wrangling out of the oven than Pyrex, and the stacking together of these things is like a dream. The Simax has a flatter bowl profile so it serves and cleans a bit better than the better brands, but I don't notice a difference in cooking. A terrific product. Who knew the French were good with glassware?

👤They are great for leftovers. They can go in a number of places. They come out of the dishwasher clean. They are resistant to chips. I have 3 in different sizes.

👤This container is awkward. I intended to use it to heat up leftovers. The lid can slide off when it's hot. I have a glass container that works well for this application. The fridge lid isn't tight enough so it doesn't seal properly. Not useful.

👤I don't leave reviews a lot but this casserole deserves a lot of credit. The design is aesthetically pleasing and functions well. The options are perfect. I don't like plastic for storing and wouldn't put plastic in the dishwasher or microwave to clean it. This casserole can be used to cook and serve and store all in one dish. Clean up is easy. I have gotten two sizes and will be getting more.

👤There was a chip on the rim of the bottom piece. The edges of the chip are not sharp, which indicates a flaw occurred during the manufacturing process. The lid handles on the cover don't match the bottom piece. The lid and bottom match up well enough to seal the item. I will keep the item.

👤I have been using this loaf maker for 3 weeks. The size is adequate, the lid fits well, and it survived the oven well. It is easy to clean and not burn marks after using the oven. Can't expect a glass product to last forever, but have high regard for it's sturdiness. Will purchase one more to complete the set.

👤I'm in to baking bread and this glass loaf pan caught my eye. Why? There is a lid on it. This won't work if your bread is too high. I make a lot of banana bread and this lid works well. The glass loaf pan is easy to clean. It's a victory all the way around. It is recommended.

👤These don't stack. You can pile them up, but see the picture. Stacking means putting one atop the other and they will stay orderly. Would you claim them as "stackable drunks" if you put one drunk guy on top of another? You wouldn't. The dishes arrived in good shape. I'm returning because of non-stackableness.

👤These were bought to replace broken dishes. I like these. The packaging was stylish, secure and minimal, and the quality of the ramekins was very nice. They feel a little more sturdy than my old ones, but they feel like a lighter weight. The creme brlée I made cleaned up nicely.

They have been used for mini cobblers. They have worked well. Souffle hasn't been tried yet. I have high hopes! There is an oven and a dishwasher.

👤The care taken to package these impressed me. All arrived in perfect shape. I poured water into it and even though it was only 4 ounces, I was able to pour more than 5 ounces of liquid into it. It works for me, but others may want to keep that in mind. I haven't had a chance to cook with them yet, but they seem to be of good quality. You can put 2 or 3 in a stack without having to worry about falling. I'm impressed with these dishes.

👤The souffle dishes are what I wanted. The set of 6 was broken into many pieces and one had a small black line on the rim. I received a prompt response after contacting the replacement email with photos of breakage and defect. They don't replace individual items without returning the whole set. I accepted their offer of a 50% discount because I needed 5 of them for this week. I wish more companies sent replacements for individual pieces that were damaged in the set.

👤The set arrived undamaged. The souffle dishes seem to be of excellent quality, even though I only used them once so far. The dishes are easy to clean and have a classic shape. I used the set in the oven, popped them in the fridge after cooking, and then turned to High Broil with no issues. I put them in the dishwasher without rinsing first and they came out clean, even though I have a decent dishwasher and use a good detergent. If you are looking for a classic set of souffle dishes, look no further.

👤It is depicted as the classic "all capitals" measuring cup on the product page, but it is actually a lower-case "pyrex" glass. The attached photos show the difference between my delivery and the product page representation. The history of the classic formula for borosilicate glass used for PYREX products is a long one. The formula is only available in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East now that it has been sold off. A lower-cased brand of soda-lime glass called "pyrex" is being marketed in the Americas. I'm sending this back. They're hoping you'll keep it even if you know the difference, because this looks like a classic bait and switch.

👤When I first moved to a home, I would never have thought about the quality of the glass measuring cup, but I will give a review that shows a side of life that many people don't know. I drive a semi tractor for a living. It's a long haul and a mix of times in the Renewables and Recyclables Industry. It's not an easy life, but I make the best of it. I moved to New York right before Covid, so I went through a period of financial turmoil with absolutely no help from the VA, or family that could have cared less for my situation as a fully endorsed driver. I was forced to live out of a Semi if I was going to pull through financially and learn how to cook and clean in a completely different way than I ever imagined. I use these Pyrex Measuring Cups a lot and they are as odd as it sounds. I will explain why and the value to them. When you have to cook a lot, you know like soups, boiling Quinoa, and Caesar Dressing from scratch when you can't find it at the supermarket. I chose to steam clean my dishes with hot water sprayed on paper towels and a microwave, and never use an abrasive or anything past a couple of ounces of water, because I wanted to save weight, but I could have bought Anchor Hocking or Plastic. The 4 cup is the newest and has been used a few hundred times in the past two years. It works out well for me because I use the 4-Cup for soups, and other things like quick meals to cook in and eat out, and it's also good for me. I use Pyrex for their glass lidded containers for stacking chopped onion and tomato and whatever leftovers I can combine into the next meal. I like this stuff. If you want to keep the water from boiling over, you need a large surface area to keep the water from boiling over. There are two cups for mixing and smaller things. There is a Paper bowls and plates and plasticware are great when you can clean with water, but they only go so far when it comes to preparing food. I used to think of myself as homeless, but I have adapted and been able to cook and clean up quicker than most people in regular homes, so I don't think of it anymore, which saves me over four hundred a month on eating out. I like to cook my own meals. There is a I hope this helps anyone who is road bound and slave to the slab. 👤I can feel the bubble under my finger tip, it's close to the surface. I had planned to cook this in the oven, but the air in the oven will expand under the heat and can crack the glass. It is unsafe. I have two of their smaller containers, and they do not have any issues. I will return this one and buy the next one. There is a I bought a second one and it had air bubbles as well. I will be returning both.

👤I bought this to use in cooking. The size is good, but the lid keeps popping open. The sides will not stay closed. This is not leakproof or spill proof. It isn't as described and useless to me.

👤The product was wanted to transport liquids of a certain quantity. It does a good job. The only choice for safe harbor of leftovers is a tight lid and glass. After being in the fridge, it can be difficult to open the lid. It is very tight. I am happy with it.

👤On camping or fishing trips, you might want to bring along a casserole. The problem is that regular 9x13 casserole/baking dishes won't fit in RV ovens. I searched for a dish that would fit in an RV fridge. I wanted a locking lid to prevent spills while transporting. I chose this one because it checks all the boxes. The lid is locked. It has the same capacity as a 9x13 dish. The only downside is that it doesn't have handles on the ends, so you need to be careful when taking it out of the oven.

👤The glass containers are very strong and thick. I bought one to make sure they would work for what I wanted, so I put one in the fridge for when I need it and the other in the freezer for when I don't. I ordered 5 more because they were the perfect size. One of the lids has cracked at the seam, it hasn't been 2 months. I have never put the lids in the dishwasher. I made sure to read the description carefully to make sure the lid was freezer safe. Each container is used for 5 days out of the month, and they are opened and closed twice a day for breakfast and dinner. They only open and close 10 times a month, and I haven't had them for 2 months yet. I expected the lids to last a few years. These are useless as food storage. I'm pretty sure that the rest of the lids will break before the return window. I feel like I wasted money. The poor quality of the lids made me not recommend these containers.

👤Someone made awesome dishes and containers for larger portions. They stack, seal, and clean very well. It's good! I have had the small ones for at least 5 years. They are my favorite dishes to store. It is easy to see in the fridge if it is brownies.

👤Half of the bowls are what is expected, correct bowls, Pyrex brand, and lids fit. The large bowl has a different shape and design, but it is Pyrex brand and has a lid that fits. The lipped edge of the remaining bowls makes them not fit in the container. The bowls are not stamped with Pyrex. I don't have a lid (light green size). Is it fake products? Not happy.

👤The old Pyrex was amazing. The new pyrex is terrible. It doesn't do well with temperature changes and is now made of Soda Lime glass. It gives you a million tiny cuts when it shatters. If possible, 0 stars.

👤The dish exploded in the microwave. I didn't need to eat my vegetables tonight. The lids are not tolerant of microwaves. I put one over the top of a dish and heat caused it to fall onto the dish and it didn't come back to shape. These dishes are not good for cooking reheated food.

👤The description of the product was wrong. The set includes a 7-cup round bowl and four 2-cup round bowls. The bowls are four-cups. There are 7 colored plastic lids. The set has two 2-cup bowls and two 1-cup bowls.

👤They all made it and it was packaged safely. As soon as we opened them, I was skeptical. We ran them through the dishwasher and all seemed fine. I put my Pyrex in a single cabinet with the lid on the side. My previous Pyrex and this set are not compatible. The new set's lid won't fit on all of my bowls and that's something. They were married 5 years ago and don't think they have changed much, but they are suspect if these are authentic or not.

👤I have been a Pyrex consumer for a long time. I use glass for storage. Whenever possible, I buy products made in the US. Pyrex is made in the USA and I feel safe with it. I have over 40 glass storage containers, 4 mixing bowls, and multiple Pyrex baking dishes that have been stamped with the words "made in the USA" on the bottom. I noticed that the stamped on the bottom was "Made in Egypt". I discovered that they are manufacturing some of their products in Egypt and Turkey after looking at their website. The website says it is made in the USA. I think they get away with it since the lids are still made here. One of the few companies who actually manufacture here are outsourcing, so we need to bring manufacturing back to our country. I really like Pyrex products. I am returning the bowls and will be looking for products made in the USA.

👤The lids are not microwave-safe. The small lid "drooped" into the bowl and took a set after a few uses. It's a 1/3-inch high dome and no longer fits on the bowl.

👤The old one is at least 5 years old. The handle cracked after Christmas. It's not surprising that this measuring cup needs to be replaced because of how much we use it. I have added a photo of my old one next to the new one. The old one has blue lettering. I was surprised to see a review where the lettering was worn off. The measuring numbers are easy to read, even though we use this cup frequently and wash it in the dishwasher. This measuring cup is very good.

👤It is so hard to use a product, and I use a variety of Oxo's Outstanding Products. That are designed for a good user experience. I no longer have to bend over and strain my eyes to read the other product. The Oxo measuring cups are clearly legible. How is it possible that the other companies would design spouts that fail to pour without spilling? They don't "design" them, they just cobble together something that looks like a measuring cup, but is not. When King Charles VII asked Joan of Arc what she called a baker who removes bread from the oven before it is done, it was a wonderful interchange. Joan's reply was "Not a baker."

👤The design of the scale makes it hard to clean, especially for oily or sticky substances. I can assure you that you won't get the full measure of honey from this cup.

You can make more precise measurements by looking down and seeing the measurement, instead of holding it up and spilling it on yourself. I've never done that. 👤There are a number of measuring cups in different sizes. They're light, easy to read, and super handy to have for multiple purposes, since they're easy to carry in the kitchen, bathroom, craft supplies, and more. It's not easy to mix things inside of a measuring cup because of its shape. I pull out one of the traditional measuring cups when I need to use this in a small amount of cases.

👤The one cup coffee maker is a porcelain funnel which fits over a mug. I found a light clear plastic measuring cup when I was not getting the correct amount of hot water. The measuring cups in our home are heavy and large. The plastic holds up to extremely hot water, but the handle did not get warm, which surprised me. I have only had it for a short time but it is an essential tool for my morning/evening cup of coffee.

👤Oxo products are very high-quality, durable and aesthetically designed, which is why I usually love them. They are simple to look at. The plastic of this measuring cup feels cheap and not what I would expect from an Oxo product. It's more difficult to clean than a normal measuring cup since it has extra interior corners that allow for bird's-eye viewing. Does its job, so I suppose that's what counts.

👤I was very excited to get this set of dishes. I knew I was in trouble when I picked up the box after waiting years to order a set. The box was full of shattered glass. There were pieces of ramekins everywhere when I opened it. I ordered 12 and 5 were shattered. Almost half... Unless it was just a coincidence, don't order these.

👤I make my own yogurts with these small bowls. After a while, the bowls became harder to put on. I use hot water to wash them, and it seems like the lids are getting smaller. I tried to find replacements for the bowls. I found these silicone stretch lids for mason jars after searching again. I bought a set of ten to try it out. They worked well, but you need to make sure the bowls are dry. If you need to replace the lids, try these. Some pictures to see how they look.

👤I don't like doing dishes. I try to use less when cooking so I don't have to clean it. The idea of using a few small bowls for food prep was not something I wanted to do. There are carrots, onions, and other vegetables here. It was inconvenient, but I only had the one cutting board to clean. I intended to use the bowls as snacks and less plastic bags. I wanted them with lids. They work well for that. I'll use them for things like fruit, nuts, and veggies. I started using them as part of food prep and discovered that it's less work to use more bowls. I don't have to juggle things on a single cutting board as I chop up veggies. Things are overheating on the stove so no more digging into that container. I can line up a few ingredients in a row. It's worth it if you want to carry small snacks in, or meal prep in, or both. Not at the same time.

👤The port size and USAGE are listed. Our dog eats fresh dog food that needs to be refrigerated and manually measured per meal. Our dog needs 12 ounces of food per day. These are perfect for this purpose. These little containers add convenience to everyday life and we don't mind measuring each meal. The containers will be great for portioning yogurt. The small glass bowl is easy to clean. It can be washed in the dishwasher. If your dishwasher is too hot, hand washing the lid is probably the best way to do it. There is a leak proof. See the picture. The container lid tilted to the side and the water did not leak. I don't know if these will be leak proof forever since there is no rubber seal under the lid and plastic is prone to warping over time. Great little containers. They are glass bowls and not plastic. This product is made by Libbey.

👤If it's possible to feel that sentiment for objects, I really like these. They are better than I expected. I like to use them for dinner prep. Hold garlic, lemon juice, or something similar. That kind of thing. You know you want a smaller cup. It's fine. I will. This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. The top 5. They have little ones! Icing on the cake! I think the review is sarcastic, but I'm not trying to be. You should buy this product. I will probably buy another for myself and another for the drawer for the next time I go because these are awesome.

👤It was purchased to bake desserts. The glass pans are a good size, but the covers don't fit. Warming them with hot water helps them fit into place. The cover pops off when it's cooled to room temperature. These are a good size for baking desserts, but they are useless as storage containers. If covered storage is the intended use, do not purchase these. 2 stars is enough.

👤I don't have a container to store bread when I bake it. I now do. I baked loaves in these pans. The bread tasted great. The recipe I used called for a piece of paper. I don't know if bread removal is easy or not. It was easy to remove with the pp. These containers are really nice. It's much healthier than non-stick pans.
