Best Baking Gloves for Oven Cute

👤When we received the yellow oven mitts, we were surprised at how small they were. They barely fit over my hands. I'll be ordering a different pair and keeping these as a backup, since we probably won't be using them ourselves.

If you try to put the mittens on all the way, your fingers will not have enough room because the thumb is shallow. It is possible to take pictures that make them look big because they are long. I found that the inability to put the gloves on properly meant that I couldn't get a solid, safe grip when taking food out of the oven, so they're going back.

👤I am a senior citizen and have been around long enough to have moss on my north side. I have used pot holders made of fabric for many years and have thrown them away to purchase new ones. I am told that the new thing that looks like it will melt at the sight of heat is heat resistant. I say "might as well try it" Wow! The pot holders fold so easily around the pot handles that you have complete control as you lift and pour, or throw them on the counter top for that hot dish to rest on. They are as clean as new if you rinse them under some warm water. Excellent product!

I grabbed a dish that was sitting in 400F for 30 minutes and didn't feel warm. I dipped my hand in the water to test the product I didn't feel anything in, after bowling diced potatoes. My only complaint was that the potatoes were hard to grab. The hot cast iron handles do the job. Great purchase! Awesome product!

👤I have had these for six months and lime them a lot. I don't feel heat through them, even if I have to hold it out for a little bit longer than just pull it out and sit it down. The surface is easy to clean. Most things fall off. They still look and feel new after six months of use. Definitely recommend these.

I can grab objects with my fingers, but the glove size may be too large for my hands. I've got used to them.

👤These are large. You can see it in the photo. From thumb to finger. I have it on my computer. Even for some men, they would be big. My hand is between small and medium. You can see where my fingers are in the picture I took. I will return them. They look nice. They are lined with a soft flannel and seem to be able to clean well. 👤I got the glove type that I ordered, they are lined and have nice cuffs to keep my forearms safe. I tried them by removing a broiled item as well as baked items and they got slightly warm after about a minute but definitely not uncomfortable. They are not labeled for the right or left hand, so you have to get used to them, I recommend "practicing" before you actually use them. I washed the part with dish soap before I used it, and it didn't smell bad or sticky. I will probably order mittens in the future.

👤If you think you're buying these because of increased dexterity, you're wrong. They don't fit well, the fingers are large, and it's hard to pick up small items. I took my hand out and the lining came out. I put it back in, but I couldn't get it right again. The lining is bunched up in the tips of the fingers, and nothing I've tried has fixed it. The already bad dexterity is worse now. They work. If you need something to hold hot stuff, get it. Don't get your hopes up if you're expecting better dexterity. A little better, but not much.

👤I've never been able to use oven mittens because they're so large that my small hands can't get a good grip on the item I'm removing from the oven. I thought I was stuck with pot holders and burned on my knuckles. When I saw them for the first time, I was horrified. I could get both hands and at least one foot in each of them. I put one on and realized that the fingers and thumbs are just the right size, because the gloves are long enough to cover most of my forearms. I can get a good grip on a casserole dish without burning my hands or wrists. It's easy to get on them, just rinse them off with running water and put them back in the drawer. I can't imagine why people wouldn't love these gloves as much as I do.

The house stunk like burnt plastic and it was a challenge to put it out. Please avoid them or you will die.

👤After ordering, you'll get an email telling you that the pot holders are not to be used to grab hot items. I thought of the mini-grippers when I thought of the purpose for buying this set. They're really referring to the circles. They're only used for cold things, like how restaurants will put pitchers of water on those plastic octagons. We decided to keep this set and it works as expected, but we hid the circles under some plants because we would have forgotten and used them.

It's easy to grab things from pots and pans because they bend and flex. You don't get burned even with the light and thin material. I was skeptical about that. I was worried that this thin would not protect me. These work well. The length is perfect for me as I grab things from the oven. They're great for my heavy cast iron pans. Sometimes cast iron can be heavy and take 2 hands. These are good for that. My husband is known to steal things from my kitchen and sneak them out to his grill. He said they work for grilling. They fit larger hands that are doing a lot of grilling. I think I know what he will get for his birthday. All the pictures I took were taken today. They still look brand new. These gloves are really nice. I'm happy to not get burned anymore. I will be ordering a new set for my husband and camper.

I have been through many different brands and it is ridiculous. These have been the best I have ever used. They are easy to clean off. I like the size, even though some people have complained about it. They grip well, so hands inside the larger gloves are not a problem. I have burned my hands on other oven gloves when I put my hands inside while they are wet. I have never been burned by these. They are easy to use without gloves and can be used as regular pot holders. The 1949 O'Keefe & Merritt stove can get up to 600 degrees and the oven mitts are the best I have used in 5 years.

👤I was very happy when I got these, they are long and comfortable. I thought I would be fine since I have used Silicone gloves before and they are supposed to be heat resistant up to 450 degrees. Imagine my horror when I took a full cookie sheet out of the oven and almost dropped it from the pan. The heat rating is not close to the actual resistance level. Sending back.

These gloves allow him to remove items from the oven without the risk of slipping. When removing the dutch oven and steel sheeting from the oven, he feels no heat. We have never had mittens that could do that. If you have large hands, these gloves might not fit you. My husband is an average height and weight and the gloves fit him tightly, which is fine. My son-in-law will not be able to get these for Christmas.

I didn't buy the mini's but the complaints about them are mixed with the reviews of the bother ones. I love the design of the full-size mitts.

It's difficult to fold them into a shape that wraps around whatever you're holding because one side is plastic. 👤I liked the previous oven mitts from Cuisinart. I gave a couple to the family because they were awesome. The new ones were not up to par. It's a huge problem when you need to quickly and carefully handle something that's straight from the oven because they're not as dexterous as the old ones. The hand of the glove needs to be open wide enough for you to grab it. You have to wrap your fingers around the cookware handle in order to grip it safely. I don't think you should give this to someone. I don't recommend getting one for yourself.

👤The heat resistant material isn't sewn into the mitt. It's very easy to burn your hand when it slides down. The quality was very disappointing. Customer service has not been able to resolve the issue after trying to reach out to them. If customer service can correct the issue, I will change my review.

I looked at the gloves on the Amazon site. I found nothing comparable to my previous gloves.
