Best Baking Items for Teens

👤I received this set. It was washed and left to dry. It has been about two days without any problems. I went to grab the cupcake pan to bake and noticed it was rusty. Wtf? Did you just purchase this and one wash to rust? Whoever they are receiving their pans from should be reconsidered by Amazon.

👤I was excited to try the pans. I've only used the sheet pan. I made some potato skins. I heard a loud clang while I was baking some fish at 350. The pan is twisted. I'm still within the first 30 days, so I'm debating returning the rest of the set.

👤The baking set is the worst I have ever purchased. The bakery goods are ruined because they tear in chunks, with much or most of the products still stuck to the pan. You can't serve rotten pans or give ruined bakery goods as gifts if you consider the purchase price and the loss of expensive ingredients. I used the bread loaf pan for the first time. I had to soak it for several hours and then change out the fresh soaking water because of the layers of gunk that had stuck and torn when I tried to get it out of the pan. The color of the pans looked stained when baking product had touched them. The pans were ruined the first time they were used, but I did not leave them damp or to air out.

This was my first time using something like this and I'm very pleased. I made pink pancakes and heart eye eggs. The mom and toddler were approved.

👤These are good molds and a good value. I would change a few things. They do not give a suggested batter for each mold. It's very helpful and I have others that do. There are two more Each mold takes a different amount of batter. I understand why, but as someone with diabetes in the family, it would be a lot easier if each pancake was the same. There are a lot of "braces" to hold the face features in place. It's difficult to get the batter where you need it without making a mess. I wish there was more space between the braces. Overall, a good choice, easy to use and easy to clean.

I took a picture of the first one and the buttercream bursting through the side of the bag, as well as the second bag I tried, and its lovely stretch marks. The bag was made of a thicker material and didn't burst. I couldn't use it because it stretched out. My buttercream is in the fridge until tomorrow, when my new piping bags arrive. This is a good buy if you just want a starter kit. Make sure you invest in better bags.

I attached a photo of my cupcakes with the biggest star tip in the set, and these were my testers. You can see they work, but you can't get that big swirl you see on the videos. I was able to use the coupler as a large plain circle tip. I would expect you to get the cupcake set. The bags are small to me. I am going to invest in some large bags, too, because they work and feel sturdy.

👤These bake kits are wonderful! They are out of stock and unavailable. I have ordered several of them and they are perfect for my 9 year old granddaughter. She is learning to bake. The corners are cut off on my set for easier picking them up. The set does not have them.

👤I was recommended the silicone pads by a functional medicine doctor. They outgas some kind of chemical into the food that comes in contact with it. I used one of the pads in my oven and it was larger than the tray and left a funny taste on my reheated cabbage. There's a funny taste when I cook pizza on the larger pads. Going to return them. Silicone cooking pads are not recommended for people trying to avoid chemicals. The outer layer of silicone is not an inert one. Purchase the paper from the store.

👤Do these work? Yes. Do they fit? Not quite. I have both the original Silpats and the Amazon Basics version, both of which fit in my half sheet pans. These don't. Silpats and Amazon Basics fit a half sheet pan perfectly and completely, with the corners cut off to deal with the rounded edge of the pan. The space at the edge is left by these. These are not going to help you get the most cookies on your pan. If your pans are too small or non-standard, these may be the answer to your prayers, but for me they are going into the "emergency only" pile.

I like the fact that it is safe up to 480 degrees and that they are much heavier duty than my first one. Not all mats can go to that temperature. It is important to note that they are non-stick, so don't use oil.

I've used these for baking potatoes, sweet potato spears, breaded fish fillets, and roasted cauliflower, and they're pretty close to that of parchment.
