Best Baking Jars Containers Storage Glass

👤If you are David Blaine, you should only buy this Pyrex set. I tried to microwave something at room temperature for 60 seconds, but the container shattered into a million pieces over the microwave. The containers are labeled as oven and microwave safe. I have microwaved other Pyrex containers and they have not had any issues, but this one blew up catistrophicaly on the very first use. I enjoy the set and look of the product, but I cannot stress enough that it was inadvertently explored in my microwave!

👤I would like to thank Amazon customer support for their assistance in the matter, they were completely satisfied with their solution. Highly disappointed in the product. I have been using glass pyrex for over 15 years. There were no complaints until 4/6/18. Less than 3 months after receiving this set, one of the glass bowls exploded in my microwave. The food was reheated. This Pyrex set was very disappointing.

👤The bowls are chipping after a few months of use. The manufacturer didn't seem to care about this issue after I contacted them. There was no concern about the potential for glass to be in food. That is completely unacceptable. Before buying a glass bowl, make sure to check out the other glass bowl manufacturers.

👤The glass shattered as soup poured out of the microwave onto the stove. It seemed to have moved around the soup line. It seems that other reviewers have had the same problem. I bought it because of the Pyrex name, hoping that they would last a long time. I wouldn't recommend them. It's better to buy a set that won't break.

👤I love these so much. I trashed all of them and bought glass because plastic Tupperware is a nightmare to clean. The food moves quickly. If you're complaining that your dishes have exploded in the microwave, I'd bet you're making the mistake of nuking leftovers straight from the fridge. When a glass dish goes from cold to hot too quickly, it will shatter or explode. My recommendation is either 1. Before you put the dish in the microwave, make sure it is sitting on the counter for a few minutes. The food should be in a dish that is not cold from the fridge. I will never microwave my new glassware or put it in the dishwasher, as this is a lovely set and I want to preserve it as long as possible. It takes a few seconds to clean them.

👤Wow! This product has saved my life. I had no pest problem before the storm. I had a lot of ants in my house after the flood waters subsided. They were in everything. I searched the internet for something that would keep my pantry items out. I ordered them on the spot after finding them with great reviews. I called a pest control service and scheduled an appointment to have them come spray my house while I waited for them. These arrived. I put my new sugars and spices in the containers. I had some ice cream and put my bowl in the sink. I woke up to a lot of ants. I was in full panic because our pest control guy wasn't coming until the next day. I couldn't believe I was so stupid. I cleaned my counter again. Everything in my cabinets was untouched when I opened them. The ants did not approach the cabinet. They couldn't smell the sugar. The containers are life saving. If we have flood waters again, I'm no longer worried. They are very easy to use. I am so thankful for the amazing product made by OXO.

👤Love the product. They opened them to find out that the smaller containers didn't seal properly. I wasted a lot of time trying to get Amazon to stand behind the product. I was told to contact the manufacturer. Don't waste your time getting this product, because if it's faulty, Amazon won't stand behind it.

👤I bought these about a month ago to organize my pantry. They look nice and seem to be sturdy, but they are advertised as being air tight. The sugar formed into a brick and the cereals were not fresh after a couple weeks. The freshness of sugar and cereals in their original opened bags is more important than the freshness of these containers. You would expect these to work for $100. The seal is so weak that I can easily pull the lid off after pressing the button. It looks like it might be a fairly common occurrence, but I think mine are malfunctioning.

The new ones don't come apart the same, and my cookies went rancid in under a week. I spent a lot of money expecting the original quality. I am very disappointed. Why Oxo?

👤If you grab them from the top of the container, the lid will come off. The old style of containers have a rounded lid. Your food will become old.

👤It was arrived in a timely manner. Storage containers from OXO are great. The seal works well and protects items. The container size of the brown sugar is the biggest issue with this set. I don't know what bags of brown sugar they are putting in there, but the ones available in my area barely fit, leaving no room or space for the clay piece to keep the brown sugar moist and not hardened. The container should have been half the size of the containers. It should have been like the 2 quart size. This set would have been perfect if not for that.

👤These jars are great for storing dry goods. The small size of the seal makes it perfect for ingredients I use everyday. The only problem I had was when I put the spoons in. I thought I had a bad jar or spoon, but I realized that the spoons have to face the jar to fit. It is a minor nuisance when I have to replace the spoon after use.

👤The jars are what I was looking for. The jars have tight fitting Bamboo lids. One star was taken off because of two issues: one of the jars has a small flaw towards the bottom, and the other has a larger flaw. The rubber seal was stuck to the glass inside the jar. I was careful to peel it off the glass, but if I had opened the jars, it would have ripped off the seal. I haven't had this issue since the initial peeling, and the lids offer a nice seal. I would buy them again.

They are light. They seal well.

👤These are gorgeous! I purchased two sets. I was excited to put them in my cupboard and wash them. I ordered some minimalist stickers for each container. Very pretty touch! I am not sure what people are talking about. No way! My glass arrived in perfect condition and was boxed to protect it. The rubber holds tightly. The rubber has to be inserted into the circular grooves on the lid. It's a good thing.

👤I was looking for a jar that was wide enough to fit a 1cup scoop inside, but this one fits! It is large enough to fit a 64oz bag of almond flour. I used a second jar to hold the two bags of dog treats since my husband forgot to close the bag. The dog treat is a bit more yellow than I wanted and the jar is almond flour. I can turn it around.

👤The jar creates condensation and results in food that is bad. I used this item for potatoes because the other jars from this label held lemons. They are kept out of the heat in an air conditioned house. I was very excited to use it. I think they need a redesign to eliminate the build up of water under the lid. The taller glass for lemons did the same thing.

You can get the dry goods out of the jars just as easily because of the wide mouth. I no longer have to look in my pantry for what I need because the labels are visible. I don't plan on using these containers for pickling, but they are perfect for my needs.

👤I was very excited about this purchase since I would be using these jars to place loose leaf teas. I had to wash the jars before I put the tea in because there were noticably dirty marks when I picked up the first jar. The marks were more like hand prints. The marks were noticable immediately since the jars looked dirty. This was for all the jars. The smell of apple cider vinegar can be smelled from the inside of the jars as I look at the marks. My significant other agreed as well. The jar's lid was so hard to open that I had to use a knife to open it. My significant other was unable to remove the lid. The 3 stars are for the storage. In the attached photo, you can see that the lid is still on and cannot be removed, even though the jar fell into two big pieces. I usually let it slide since I don't like confrontation. It's not possible to glue it back together since it's a jar and mini shards.

I can confirm that the wooden lids had a scent of either wood stain or sealant, as many reviewers mentioned a strange odor. I was happy after a few washes with soap and water. The rubber gasket that creates the seal between the wood and the glass is a big issue. It is thin and used to bridge a wide gap. The seal is loose and the lid is not always centered on the jar. The attached photo shows the point at which the lid doesn't overlap with the glass anymore. There is a small hole in the seal that is supposed to be broken to make it easier to remove the lid. I don't know what that means for the freshness of my tea, but I would have preferred if this gasket was air-tight.

I used the white marker on the glass and it turned out great, but I didn't use the stickers. I put an 8oz box of bread crumbs in one of the containers and left some room in the other. I put a bag of brown sugar in the container and had a hand full in the bag that wouldn't fit in the container. One container had a chip in the top and another had a small crack on the inside of the side. I can't use them for food. I have a million other things that I can use.

👤I was a bit unsure about these since there was only one review, but I am so happy I got these! I initially got them for my pups treats, but now use half of them for my own stuff. It comes with a white chalk pen and seals for the lids. The glass is strong. I recommend!
