Best Baking Kits for Kids 10-12 with Mix

👤This was a huge hit for my daughter's birthday. She was very happy to have a master chef day with us. Everything is great and we are very happy. The cookbook was purchased separately. I highly recommend this for kids under 10 years old. I would go with a regular set if I were you.

👤Our son is a big fan of this. The way the volcano is shipped may make some people discouraged. We learned from forming many sports mouthpieces that the quick fix is to get two large pots, fill them with water, and heat one pot to a boil. Remove the hot pot from the heat and place it in the hot water. If you have tongs, place volcano on the counter. Immediately mold into circular form by rotating two hands around the sides, it's a little hot at this point. 8) It should look like a volcano if you remove it from the water. 9) We did it a few times because we tend to be very strict. 👤I am a former teacher. Most science kits fall short of my expectations and I am picky about them. This kit is a great jumping off point for an inquiry into dinosaurs. The kit used hands on activities to teach about the different types of fossils and the different time periods. The final project was a 3D dinosaur puzzle. I appreciate someone else doing the planning, material gathering, and prep work for me because of the creative ideas. We made a full sized timeline, the children drew with sharpie and watercolorsd dinos to add to it, and we printed a life sized owl pellet. Enjoy learning with your child while having fun with your dino kit.

👤The dinosaur model is flimsy and lacks direction. The online directions are useless. The cutout pieces are hard to remove from the cardboard because of the injuries they cause. Some pieces seem to need to be taped or Glued during assembly. The quality is ca-ca. No child can put this together and an adult will soon be babbling on the floor or using words that young ears should not hear. I have put together many dinosaur models for my son, but this is the worst part. The activity book and other hands on activities are useful. I think it says 5+, but I don't think it says which model is suitable for no one. They are off a few years. Maybe I should give this another star because of the other stuff, but I can't get that model out of my head. My son doesn't want to give a bad review because he likes the other stuff.

👤The Magic School Bus science kits are fun to use. My kids liked putting the little stickers on the scavenger hunt card. The kit included a mold of a bear print, a bag of sand, a bag of plaster of Paris, a dozen black pipe cleaners, a bottle of powdered red paint, and three balloons.

👤My daughters loved it. We had a lot of fun working with various formulas. We used the kit to study the poster facts and record volcano formulas. They presented the best formula to their dad and little brother after they decided on it. The tips are 1. Put a thick piece of cardboard or a shoe box lid on top of the volcano, cover it with foil and put 4 push pins on it to keep it stable. 2. You're painting on plastic with thin paint. Apply thickly. Reapply a few times. 3. Kids can try to identify shapes and eruption styles from the volcano eruption images on the internet. There is a documentary video on Mt. St. Helen's eruption. 4. Don't add the dye until you've tried it out, because of the mess. We saved it for our final presentation. 5. For fun, video your children's experiments and let them review the videos to see which formulas worked the best. My girls loved it! This is a good product. I gave it 4 stars because of the adjustments I had to make on volcano. The information is good. This is a kit your children can use on their own. You can either work with them or read for them and let them record the results after each experiment. It's doable for multiple children, as you can make up as many volcano experiments as you want, and our two kids each had their own side of the volcano to paint. The kit is good for kids ages 5 - 12 and should include books from the library, controlled internet research and more.

I don't think this set is necessary unless you already have a base and reflector set for your tablets. The games that come with the Creative set are ones that you don't need in order to play. You can play these games if you have plain white paper or a dry erase board. The base and reflector set is all you need. My kids enjoy playing with the three games, but they were playing before they got this set. The set comes with a dry erase board, some markers, and a pencil pouch that can double as an eraser. If you want to play the games with your own paper, I would suggest buying a different set of games that come with pieces you need to play them.

The drawing game is very difficult for younger kids and the pinball game has no educational value. The monster game is fun, but only works half the time. The drawings on the white board are not read by the camera.

👤I bought this for my 5YO's birthday because she loves drawing and she used to use Osmo at school. We got the genius kit for the iPad base so we could switch out the two tablets and have two kids play on them at the same time. My daughter ruined two of the markers that came with the set when she pushed them down as she sketched. Our other art supplies don't happen when we use various types of markers. I have to find replacement markers and spend more money immediately. The white board is nice and sturdy, but you don't need it to play any of the games it advertises for. My son saw my daughter playing the monster game and wanted to do it on his tablets at the same time. A piece of white paper or a generic white board works. I wanted a second base, but the value for my money would have been better if I had bought one of the other starter kits instead, since it would expand the number of games we can actually play with pieces we don't have and can't easily substitute with a much cheaper solution

👤My daughter likes it. This will get the child in the mood to take random products into their toy kitchen and make you some "delicious" items in their oven. Your flour will be gone, your Spaghetti noodles may be mixed in with the flour and even your eggs, shells and all. Your sugar may disappear as well as any hot cocoa mix and be used to "microwave" some brownies. We'll get the purchase and eat the baked goods. I get to see her improve her skills in the kitchen, as well as see her smile and pride in her face, because I get to see her with me in our house.

These squishy things look a lot like the pictures, except they are made from a solid color and have no black dots for eyes. There are some that are not known. They come in a lot of different colors. I received a variety of emojis, which made me happy, instead of the holiday key chains depicted. They seem well made. If you are buying toys for 3-6 year olds, they might be okay. The kids might notice how cheap the toys are.

Most of the contents are ok for a 1.5-2y/o child, but you should know if your toddler is the type to play dress up. I don't have the time to explain what she has done to get her hands on a single Goldfish, but I do know that if you were on fire and had a bag of marshmallows nearby, she would sit and roast you. They are both 99th percentiles. My daughter's head circumference is usually taken first by the nurse, and then by the doctor, who thinks it's a mistake if they measure it again once or twice. It will fit your kids. The other items are toddler sized. They are perfect for preparing pretend food, which is what we have not attempted to do. These can easily be weaponized. These are secretly instruments of toddler wars. Parental discretion is not advised. I feel the need to warn people not to touch the floor with the super tiny cookie cutter. They disappear or blend-in, and you will step on it with a bear or slipper foot, which will grant you the type of pain that will stay with you forever; labor and childbirth? Is it possible to put something to the head? Is it related to kidneys stones? Are Legos on the floor? Not even close. Who wants a cookie that's small? What are you? This comes with a little kids cookbook, which is one of the best things about it. There are some really cute ideas, like a kids "sushi" roll. I think all but one recipe does not require a stove oroven, and one or two uses the microwave. I liked that part the most because it reminded me of a book I had when I was a kid. It taught me how to make everything from scrambled eggs to pancakes, biscuits, and muffins in the microwave. It always tasted a bit off or horrible compared to the same thing cooked in the stove/oven. I wish I still had that book. There is a You should buy this for your child.
