Best Baking Mixer Handheld

👤The product is likely to be in the $5 range. The color is the only good part. Does that matter if it stays in a drawer? Nope! It was very flimsy, louder than my old school vitamix blender. The fact that low speed is impossible is the worst part. Beware of all the one button mixers. If you put it on high, it will go all over your kitchen and outfit, and you can't take it out without turning it off. This product dooms you.

I have a KitchenAid hand mixer and stand mixer, but they are in storage, because I am in a longterm temporary living situation. I got this little guy because I was tired of hand whipping cream and needed something cheap, small, light, and easy to transport. I have made a number of things, including whipped vats of cream, a couple of cakes, and a couple of meringues. I had no issues with the battery charge, and I really like the little foot/stand it has. You need a bigger bowl for those with splatter issues. I didn't notice anything different than any other mixer. The green is a pretty color. I would have liked to have purchased it sooner.

I traced my steps to figure out what it was, and this hand mixer was the culprit. I'm pretty sure eating metal coating isn't good for you. The mixer attachment should be made out of steel, not chrome, as it's a kitchen appliance that's coming in contact with food and liquids. The whisker that comes with this is made of STAINLESS, and I'll continue to use that without any problems, because the manufacturer just tried to save some money by making it out to be made of STAINLESS. I only used the mixer once and used cookie dough inside a bowl. The chrome coating on the bowl came off because of the rubbing of the heads against it. It's not cool and should be taken off the market by Amazon.

👤The little mixer from Hamilton Beach exceeds my expectations. I like it because it serves my baking needs and doesn't take up a lot of space in my kitchen cabinet. I mix the ingredients to make cakes, brownies, muffins, waffles, pancakes, cookies, and dough for different breads. It works like a charm. It has 6 speeds and a burst button that adds a speed boost. It's easy to clean, and the best part is that the cord store makes it look neat and easy to use. The attachment and bin clicks on to the mixer itself for storage. It has a design at the end that makes it easier to put the mixer on the bowl. I thought it was pretty neat, and it keeps the bowl from tipping over and spilling everything. The tetris battle that I always lose is the reason for the attachment and cord to store together. You have to apply pressure to close the container. I haven't. I'm afraid I might break it, but for now the order that seems to do the trick is beater and whisk together then other beater across, pushed all the way down, cord and click. This hand mixer is a no-brainer for the price and function. It has been 6 months since I got my mixer and it is still working. Practice makes perfect, and now I don't have to keep all the cords. I have mixed batter for many things. The little mixer goes the extra mile. I am happy to use it.

They said they would replace for free, but first they had to pay $11.49 for shipping and handling. The replacement of the mixer is not free because they are asking the consumer to pay for a new one, and that's why I wouldn't pay them. The first one only lasted 5 months, so why would I pay for another one? Don't buy from this manufacturer and go with another that will stand behind their products, they will last more than 5 mos.

The spot welds at the tip that join the two pieces of beater broke after the third time they were used. She used them for another 6 months and then the weld at the base of the beater broke and it was useless. Kitchenaid makes a good mixer, but their beaters are garbage. The beaters that I bought for the $10 Proctor Silex mixer are made better and more durable. The mixer is awesome, but the beaters need work.

When I looked at the manual, I was a bit sad to see that other models came with extra attachments, however after looking up, it seems that those extra attachments are compatible with this mixer. I like that it comes with a whisk attachment, it's heavier than my previous mixer, and it's tiring my hand sooner than I would like. The front of the mixer has a dusting of cocoa powder or cinnamon on it. * The beaters are too close together, which makes it harder to remove the batter from the mixer, so I prefer the less expensive mixer I had before. I might consider buying something else.

The problem is that it has two speeds. A low speed is needed when incorporating butter into a flour mixture. Light batter or butter can be used in flour mixes at the lowest speed. Real problem for cooks, some may want the speed. The body is pretty. The counter is rounded back corners so it can't rest on it. It can be rolled over to either side. It looks pretty but problematic. I'm not sure if I'll get it back as these are design issues and not faulty. It looks pretty, but not the cord. Fast but not useful. Sorry, can't recommend.

👤I really like this mixer. I used the double whisks instead of my old mixer to make my meringue. It's easy to operate, just move the wheel forward. I like the pause button because it allows me to add more sugar to my egg whites and then just press the pause button again to start again. I was worried the mixer would be heavy. I didn't notice it was heavy. I'm 61 years old and have some arm weakness. The rubber on the beaters worried me. I was hesitant to purchase this mixer because it looked cumbersome to use, but seeing them in person, I can see that they won't interfere with mixing, as they fit like a glove and glide easily along the surface of the bowl. I researched the 3 main companies and found that Breville has the highest wattage off all the mixers. I was ecstatic when I saw that Breville had a thumb wheel that was easy to use, because the buttons were hard to push, and I returned the Kitchen Aid mixer because it was hard to push. The mixer looks better than the website image. I was impressed with the box. The beaters and attachment are well made, and they are also nice. I'm happy with it so far.

👤I purchased this item on Amazon. I only use it occasionally for baking or mashed potatoes in the house. I used a Hamilton Beach mixer for 25 years without incident. It has more power and speed than my old model, but it has stopped working after less than 5 years of use. While whipping potatoes, the motor slowed down to a near stop, and then sped up to a speed much higher than the normal top speed. I stopped using it after it smelled like something was burning inside. The item is brand new. I'm not happy with the length of time this item worked, as well as the "3 year limited warranty." I will replace it with another brand.

👤I have owned the KA 9 speed hand mixer for over a year and recently purchased the 7 speed from Bed Bath and Beyond with their coupon. I thought it would be helpful if people were trying to figure out which one they wanted to buy. I think the best hand mixers are both of them. I can only prove that part by buying the Cuisinart. The first speed on the Ka is slower than on the Cuisinart. You have to remember that with the Cuisinart it starts off quicker when you just turn it on and it slows down, so hold it out of the bowl before you use it in the batter. The KA dough hooks tend to make a better bread or pizza dough than the other dough hooks, so I don't know why, maybe it's me? I don't know if the shape of the dough hooks, the dough hooks on the Ka and the ones on the cuisinart matter. The KA tends to work better for me in heavier dough. The KA has 9 speeds and the Cuisnart has 7. I haven't used the full speeds on either mixer. I tried to make whip cream with the balloon whisks, but they seem worthless to me. The regular beaters on both of them work better. I think the KA is cheaper online than on TV, but I usually use Amazon. They are good to work with in case of problems. I was able to use the 20% off coupon they always send in the mail to save on the Cuisinart 7 speed, the same as the 9 speed online here, which cost $59.00. I like the fact that I can go to the store and look at something first before I buy it. I think it works better with a heavier dough than it does with a quieter one. The 9 speed that they sell is very powerful and the 7 speed that I have is just as powerful. I got the KA in a beautiful silver color and I love it. The KA is more expensive, so I tend to go to the Cuart for less hassle, if my batter is heavier. I don't know if lonegevity means the Ka has a powerful dc motor, but those who know motors can tell more than I can. I hope this review helps someone decide.
