Best Baking Oven for Kids Ages 10-12

👤A birthday present for a girl. It is really cute. The tools are suited for her size. When her mom bakes a pie, she will be able to help. We use the tools and cutter to play.

She loved rolling the crust and buttering the edges, so we made her a galette. The cinnamon rolls were made with the rolling pin and pastry brush. The rubber spatulas are great for spreading butter. The pieces of silicone have not been damaged.

The pipping pen is a set if three plastic bags that are not easy for a young child to use and it is not going to last long even though it can possibly be washed a couple of times. I walked into my local department store and saw some items for sale. I saw a pen that was designed to be a pen that you press down, which is a better option for your children to use, and that could have been included in the box.

👤I think this is a good set for baking with kids. We practice Montessori at home, and we were looking for a set up that would allow our 3 YO to cook a recipe from start to finish by herself. She can use the cake pan herself because it fits in the oven. The manufacturer should improve the recipe cards. The weakest link in the bundle is these cards. They reference the tools at the bundle, but they don't have an electric mixer. They are too complex for small kids to follow, with too many steps crammed onto a small card. The set needs simple recipes, reference only the tools provided, and pictures of the tools and ingredients to make it easy for kids to follow along. This may be too much to ask, but slightly healthier baking recipes would also be appreciated. The choice of utensils. The Silicone baking dish and cups are easy to clean. The wooden ones are cheap. I found a higher quality set on Amazon and am using them as a back up. The set could include an oven mitt. It's a good price, so I didn't mind buying an oven mitt to complete what we needed for baking. We had a lot of fun with it.

👤I ordered this for my daughter because of Frozen 2. It was very easy to set up, no issues despite some of the reviews I have seen here. She loves it! She is told to draw a component of a picture, such as a skirt of a dress, a snowflake, or something else. When she is done, her drawing pops up on the screen. At that point, there are several different ways to change the color and look of her drawing, and then it is incorporated into an animation. She can go through pages again with the help of the sketch pad. She has made it through about eight activities. I will buy this for my niece. It is a perfect gift for a child who loves drawing and is into Frozen. She was playing at night.

👤Absolutely amazing. ! If your a parent who is tired of watching your kids play games on their tablets and watch videos that aren't going to teach them a thing, then this is for you! The Osmo is amazing. My daughter was so excited to see her drawings come to life. Absolutely recommend to anyone with children. My daughter is 6 years old. I was worried this would be young for her. It was not. If I could, I would give this 10 stars.

👤The game was great and the daughter loved playing with it. The first maker tip broke after only 20 minutes of drawing. I teach art. I have never seen a marker do this. I can attest that she was using the marker normally, not being aggressive or rough, and I was sitting right next to her. The same thing happened when she started to use the other marker. It is useless unless we buy more markers. Really disappointed.

👤The game has so many options. The reason for my lower star review is that it is advanced. The instructions are not suited for younger children. My 7 and 4 year olds struggled a bit, but my 10 year old easily followed along. They were asked to draw with many of the shapes. I would like to see a junior version.

👤I purchased this app for my kids and they love it. There is no app for this one, because the other games correlate with an app in order to work on the device. My kids were excited to play with this after opening it on Christmas morning, but they were disappointed when they tried to use it. I don't know if it will ever come back, I haven't returned it yet, I keep checking the App Store to see if it's returned, I know it once existed, but there could be no positive reviews, but my return window is quickly going to close,

My daughter gave it as a gift to a young girl with terminal cancer and I will soon be able to test it. She didn't want to tell me she gave it away. Most of the contents are ok for a 1.5-2y/o child, but you should know if your toddler is the type to play dress up. My daughter is the one who likes to wear an apron and chef hat, while my son is the one who doesn't. I got this for my daughter because she loves food. Not "like" but "literally". I don't have the time to explain what she has done to get her hands on a single Goldfish, but I do know that if you were on fire and had a bag of marshmallows nearby, she would sit and roast you. If you know what I mean, you can tell from looking at her how much she loves to eat. If you don't know what I mean. Her doctor put her on a diet. I don't want my baby girl to have a bad relationship with food. I thought it would be a good idea to put her in the kitchen and do some work around here. It's really amazing. I'm happy. The intent is to get her interested in preparing food, showing her that not all food comes from brightly colored bags and boxes, and ultimately helping to teach her to make healthy food choices. The apron has enough string length to fit her waist with room to spare if needed. The baker's hat is likely to fit most kids, even being a bit on the big side. I say this because it fits both of my kids heads, although a more snug fit on my daughter. Both of my children get their heads from their Daddy. I'm sure you all think that I'm exaggerating. They are both 99th percentiles. My daughter's head circumference is usually taken first by the nurse, and then by the doctor, who thinks it's a mistake if they measure it again once or twice. It will fit your kids. The other items are toddler sized. They are perfect for preparing pretend food, which is what we have not attempted to do. These can easily be weaponized. These are secretly instruments of toddler wars. Parental discretion is not advised. I feel the need to warn people not to touch the floor with the super tiny cookie cutter. They disappear or blend-in, and you will step on it with a bear or slipper foot, which will grant you the type of pain that will stay with you forever; labor and childbirth? Is it possible to put something to the head? Is it related to kidneys stones? Are Legos on the floor? Not even close. Who wants a cookie that's small? What are you? This comes with a little kids cookbook, which is one of the best things about it. There are some really cute ideas, like a kids "sushi" roll. I think all but one recipe does not require a stove oroven, and one or two uses the microwave. I liked that part the most because it reminded me of a book I had when I was a kid. It taught me how to make everything from scrambled eggs to pancakes, biscuits, and muffins in the microwave. It always tasted a bit off or horrible compared to the same thing cooked in the stove/oven. I wish I still had that book. There is a You should buy this for your child. They might form a coup and overthrow you if you let them keep the baking utensils.

When we had a small amount of flour in the bowl, the mixer wouldn't mix at all. We ran into the same problem when we tried other soft ingredients. The attachment pieces would get stuck if I didn't manually lift the mixer. The attachment pieces are very flimsy, which I was surprised about, but understand the safety concerns. There are videos online that show the mixer mixing up flour and egg. It was disappointing to have to return it already.

👤My toddler loves this! It can make batter, whip cream, scramble an egg. It is surprisingly safe. If you put your hand in the way of the paddle or crank on top it will stop as it seems to have a built in clutch to override. It doesn't strip the motor. This was one of the best purchases I have ever made.

Not even the smallest batter can be mixed in this. The batter barely moved. The mixer slid around when it was difficult to turn the handle. My child would not be able to do this with any success. The bottom was still dry even when it barely mixed the top layer. The recipe book states that it has to be turned manually. If you ask me, that defeats the purpose. I will send this back immediately. It doesn't work as it should.

When I contacted the company, they were so kind and sent us 2 replacement whisks free of charge, and did not charge us shipping when it came from England. My child still uses his mixer every day.

My child acts like she doesn't have any other toys after getting this. While I cook, she will sit on the kitchen floor, throw a couple of veggies in her pan, and stir it with her wooden spoons. It is precious. I expected the toys to be very durable. My dog was able to chew on one of the hollow veggies if I accidentally stepped on them. The metal pans have dents in them because they get thrown a lot. It comes with a lot of pieces, and similar sets come with way fewer pieces than it does. It's perfect for a play kitchen.
