Best Baking Pan with Rack for Oven

👤This pan is great for baking cookies. The texture on the bottom makes it stick to the pan. The obsidian black is a nice color. Nothing seems to stick yet for my baking, so it is easy to rinse clean. It is a nice quality baking sheet. I like the quality of it so much that I may buy more as it looks nice in my baking.

👤A very thick pan that is durable. I put foil down to protect the finish, but this went through the dishwasher without any issues. I use trays a lot when I smoke food, to keep the grease from dripping into fire.

👤I'm going to review a USA Pan product. I am not impressed with this at all. I was surprised at how poorly it cleans up, I don't expect my bakeware to remain pristine and shiny looking, but still...) The pan seems to be a good weight in hand, but it doesn't stand up to higher temperatures than about 350. I was surprised by the fact that it has always flattened out. I am happy with the rack that comes with it. I haven't noticed any peeling of their special coating on the inside, but I have noticed no advantage to the coating as far as release of food or cleaning. Measure if this pan will fit in the oven. It fits in my kitchen with a half inch clearance on either side and slightly overhangs the depth of my oven rack, but not so much that the oven door can't be closed. I was aware that this is a large pan, but just to point it out to others.

👤It's a shame. The aluminum is thick and sturdy, and it would have been a great purchase. The coating is very thin. Without using any harsh scrubbers, without using excessive temperatures, and without any harsh scrubbing, the coating is gone. A full-size baking mat is used to cover the pan. Disappointed to a very high degree.

👤Great addition to my kitchen. The pan seems sturdy, but after 6 minutes in the oven, I heard the "warp pop", which shocked me. Once cooled, it straightened out. I didn't hear that happen while I was doing a sheet of bacon in the oven. The rack is great for cooling my home baked breads and muffins, and it did a great job with the bacon as well. The rack is not as strong as it could be. I tried to wash it after it arrived, but I'm not strong. I've taken care to be gentle since then. I thought it would be difficult to clean up after a bacon run. I wish I had an industrial sink for my pan. It's a good thing. The bacon grease that had pooled in the pan and subsequently burnt to the surface washed away with just the stream of water. It left a faint stain on the metal. I'm hoping that fades away quickly. I kept the rack in the pan, but have noticed small scratches if the rack is moved within it. They seem to rub off without effort. This set is still a great addition to my kitchen, even though it is not perfect.

👤If grease or oil touches the hot pan, it will cause it to discolor. If you expect the pan to stay bright, use it for cookies. You will hear a clank in the oven at 350. When cool, it will return to shape. You can have a mess in the oven if you have any liquid in the pan.

👤I don't know why it warped. I put it in the oven and it popped right away. The corner of the pan that was bent all the way up was the one that had bread on it. I baked the bread and then the bake corner went down. It should not happen with any bakeware. There is something with the metal. There is an update. The pan has 430 ss in it. That is a medium grade steel. I had trouble with it. There is a If you don't want it to buckle, don't preheat the oven. You have to have food on the whole pan surface if you want the heat to spread evenly.

👤I use these to make 2 huge batches of wings. They both warped when they were cooked in the oven. Trying to clean them is the worst part. The oil from the wings seeped onto the pan even though I coated it with aluminum foil. I have spent two hours trying to scrub everything I can find, it's almost like rusty dark spots that reappear. They are too large to fit in my double sink and dishwasher. Brillo won't clean them.

👤This was made out of steel. Most pans are made of aluminum. This is very strong. It tends to bend to one corner when it's hot. This is a common occurrence if you're familiar with steel pans. I would buy again.

The pan did warp on me. I bake the loaves in a hot oven at first, then lower the temperature to 400 degrees. Maybe that's hotter than the pans are designed for? It is possible that warping is a common issue for large pans. This one was slightly warped. I prefer pans that don't warp, not a deal killer, but I don't like small warp that doesn't impact my baking.

I picked this pan because it is a smaller size. It's the perfect size for roasting a whole chicken. I've used it many times with different types of meat and it's worked better than I expected. I tried it with a whole chicken. The pan was easy to clean and the chicken came off the rack easily. I tried chicken thighs and potatoes again. I put the gold potatoes under the rack. I put the chicken thighs on top of the rack and let the juices flow down. Did those taste good? I have not had any quality issues. This pan is built to last. It's a good choice for those looking for a smaller roasting pan.

👤I wanted to like it. I do all my cooking from scratch and was excited to find a pan that was clean. The roasting rack scratched the coating off the pan when I used it a couple of times. There is a rough end in the middle of the rack that rubs against the pan. The first time I used the pan to cook a beef roast, the bottom was stained. I had hoped things would clean off quickly. I missed the window and was trying to give it another chance. Oh well.

👤The bottom of the pans are starting to peel. I use it in the smoker with the grate. Nothing but a soft scrubber has touched them.

👤I used this to make a porchetta. Unlike a sheet pan or other roasters, the recipe called for 450 for 40 minutes and it didn't distort in the hot over. The quality of the pan is comparable to other similar pans I looked at in stores. I used a rack that I already have, but it also looks and feels like the one that was included.

👤I can only imagine that this item has gotten dumbed down because it was not very good quality. I had to remove a lot of metal burrs outside of the rack. The rack is not 12” as stated on the label, it is shorter and rattles back and forth, no big deal. I bought a larger rack from another brand that fits perfectly into my baking pan and does not budge, but can a basic 5 dollar one do the same job?

👤My search for a good rack has been very frustrating, too many of them are not solid or flimsy. This one is very sturdy. All of the wire is good heavy gauge. I had to file off a few edges on wire because of slight warpage. It's better than most. I would buy it again. I didn't receive this product in exchange for my review. 👤I received my 2 racks yesterday and they are great! Love that they are high quality. I will use mine for cooking bacon in the oven and other uses. The pans fit perfectly on the racks. After reading the reviews and getting different answers, I still don't know if the rack is above or below my pan. The top of my pan is about a quarter of an inch below the rack. This is where I wanted it to be. The rack is strong. Thank you for the great product.

👤I am very happy with the performance of this rack. I use this rack to bake chicken pieces. The wire diameter is a little smaller than other racks, but it is still sturdy for baking/roasting. It was clean after a run through the dishwasher. I have had rack that have been plated steel or coated steel and eventually they break down. The cheaper versions will last less than this one. The only thing I have a problem with is that some of the cut ends of the wires were a little dull. I have a question about whether this rack will survive an oven cleaning cycle.

👤I received a request from Spring Hill to give a review. I used mine to bake chicken wings. I put mine in Franks hot sauce for about 6 hours, then sprinkle with a little black pepper and smoked paprika. The rack made them come out better than ever. Next time, I might lightly broil them for that extra crispness. The rack is well made. The meat wouldn't stick if I sprayed it with Pam. It fit perfectly in my pan and held about 18 wings. It was easy to clean up with a plastic scrubber. The instructions said to dry it immediately. Even though it says for baking and broiling, they don't list a temp. The wrapper has a max on it. I couldn't find one.

👤I bought this set because I wanted the rack with the silicone feet to use with my other half sheet tray or as a cooling rack. I was pleasantly surprised by the included half sheet pan since it turned out to be heavier duty than the Nordicware one that I already own. The Nordicware is about 3.5 ounces heavier than the KPKitchen pan. The set is nice and the rack is sturdy. Water gets inside the feet when washing the rack because they are not replaceable. To drain the water, be sure to remove them or dry the rack upside down. If the feet had just been dipped in silicone to prevent the water and possible mold, I would have been okay with that option.

👤This is aluminum, so expect both heating and marks on the sheet and sink from wherever it runs. This is the nature of aluminum, which is a very soft metal and scratches off most other materials, including ceramic. It can be easily discolored from a variety of foods. That is not real. The marks are easy to remove with water and a quick wipe. No aluminum pan will be able to avoid this. The edges are nicely curled. It is easy to use in the oven and for cooling, and the rack has not rusted. I have been using this for a year now and it has never bothered me. Looks good. I'm not thrilled about the price being over $30, but I'm not thrilled about reading about other pans which warp or start to rust, which can cause food and metal to be washed off. When washing or cooking, I have never had metal or other marks on this pan. When it rubs against my sink, does it leave marks? That is expected in the metal. Why use aluminum? It is the most evenly distributed of all metals. My pots and pans have a layer of aluminum sandwiched in the middle of them. I'm buying another one to add to my first one. I would love to buy a cheap half sheet pan with sharp edges. I would be happy to take care of them myself. I have not found a pan in lots smaller than six that does not leave marks in sponges or food, and that is because of the reviews that indicate that they both do not aarp.

👤I've purchased products from KPkitchen before and have been very satisfied with them. The baking pan is very strong. The pan is not dishwasher safe but I wash my pans. The cooling rack fits nicely inside the pan and the silicon feet are a plus because they won't scratch the pan. This set would make a nice gift.

I can have bacon again. The bacon that you buy in the store doesn't cut mustard. There is no need to turn the bacon because it is not sitting in grease.

It is the steel polish on iron. I switch to these sheets because they don't get into food, but only after baking. I don't have a problem with iron, it's not dangerous, but the steel is ripping off and it can get into food.

👤It warps at high temperatures. The rack is awesome and I still use it. Silicone can't be used above 400, so the ones that don't warp are coated with it. It can still work, just be prepared for it to warp.

👤These were dishwasher safe, rust-free, and sturdy and I bought them for that. They made a popping sound after using the pan in the oven. I was able to pull out the baking sheet without spilling hot liquid, but the sheet continued to warp as I tried to pull it out of the oven. It is not strong. I put the pan in the dishwasher and it came out with rust on it, first use, second wash... I washed them before using. This product was very disappointing.
