Best Baking Pans for Oven with Lids

👤I bought this item a year ago because it was a non-stick baking pan. The pan worked well for a while. When I baked a bunch of brownies recently, cooled them and removed them from the pan, I noticed the bottom of several of the brownies had pan coating that made them inedible. When I washed the pan, I noticed that one of the parts had lost its coating and that there was some rust in it. I contacted the manufacturer of the pan and they told me that the pans are meant for baked goods only and that any other food source will affect the coating. The paper we recommend is parchment. The pans have to be sprayed with a baking spray or coated with shortening and flour. We will be glad to replace the pan as a one-time courtesy if you send us a photo of the pan. Allow up to 3 weeks to receive. We try to send the same size, but it may be a different pan than you have. I was surprised to learn that their pan was not stick free even though it has non-stick coating. I used Pam and it came off into the food. The item can be used for brownies, cake, Lasagna, casseroles, but only baked goods according to the description. I don't use plastic or Silicon tools with this pan. The coating is failing and coming off in the food. I gave it a rating of 2 because it lasted a year. I received a replacement pan from Wilton today. The item is the same size, dark coating and has a 10 year warranty. The rating has been upgraded from 2 stars to 3 stars.

👤A few months ago, I was excited to get a couple of new pans. The first couple of times I used them, they didn't stick too much, but soon thereafter, they began sticking badly. I have to work really hard to get the food off after I soak them. I don't use metal utensils and wash them with a sponge labeled as safe for use on non-stick surfaces. The food sticks like glue and there are rough black spots. I only use them occasionally, but now there is rust around the edges and corners, and it is so bad the last couple of times, I am ready to throw them in the trash. I'm going to buy a different brand of pans. The lids are hard to get off as they fit tightly. One is a bad choice.

👤I only use this pan for cake baking. I decided to purchase a pan to use for only cake baking after I found that the cakes did not come out as expected when I used other pans. My cakes are perfect now. I like that it has its own lid. I don't have to use foil or something that can mess up the icing. I would recommend this pan to other bakers.

The pan was in the water for a few hours and seemed to rust easily. I shouldn't have left it and I don't want to say it's the quality. It is disappointing. We baked monkey bread in the pan.

👤I had an old roaster that was heavier than this one, but it wasn't that long ago. I bought a second one. The all clad one I bought was expensive for a year. And it was so bad. The turkey came out dry. The results were the best between the two. I don't roast turkeys larger than 14 lbs. because I have the 18. It is not possible to comment on a bird larger. It was a perfect size for my needs. I don't use a rack, instead I use rolled up alum foil, placed under both ends, and big fat carrots in the middle, which adds to the beautiful drippings/gravy taste. Turkey comes out well, and most importantly, the drippings lead to gravy, which I love more than the turkey itself. I'll be getting a smaller turkey, 12-13lb, lots of leftover turkey and gravy to freeze for 2. The roaster will be used. Happy holidays to all!

👤The problem with this product is that we all have a picture of the old 30lb granite roasters that our mothers used. The dimensions don't register for us. I have a large turkey breast. It fits. I still cook a turkey for the two of us. Great pan. Great memories. I wouldn't use anything else. If you soak while eating dinner, the clean up will be a breeze. Enjoy it! Good value. 👤I didn't know how small this was. I was imagining a big one that could cook a big turkey. I think I didn't read the size before buying it. It is very simple but too small for what I need it for. This is for a roast chicken.

I didn't have a roasting grill, so a few spots at the leg joints didn't cook completely through. I looked around on Amazon.com and found a pan that was perfect for me. The HIC Harold Import Co. 43191 Octagonal Wire Roasting Rack is a good choice if you're thinking of buying a roasting grill.

👤I was looking for a baking vessel to bake braided egg bread. This roaster is perfect for 2 1/2 cups of flour recept and 2 level braiding. I fill each strand of dough with raisins. I don't have to worry about unstable bread or ends of bread getting loose anymore. The first 20 minutes of baking can be done without tenting of dough with the help of the lid of this roaster. The only problem with this roaster was that the baked bread would disappear before I could take a picture. There is a If you're afraid to make your own bread, get this roaster. It is worth it to have this roaster for the reason that I may find other uses for it in the future.

👤I only used this pan 3 times after buying it 2 years ago. I roasted a chicken the other day. I allowed it to soak. The photo shows that it started peeling. Very disappointed. Farberware was my go to for kitchen. It is not good lately. I had a w2 cup percolator for over 30 years before we got a new one. Since then, we have had 4. I moved to Cuisinart. I miss my original percolator. I would like to hear from Faeberware. Can I get a new pan?

👤I use the roasting pan for both baking cinnamon buns and roasting meats. Within 3 months, the pan warped. The non-stick coating was not very non-stick to begin with and now it has bubbles and is peeling off in many areas. It was only cleaned with soft sponges or a cleaning pad that was safe for non-stick items. The pan is no longer safe to use. I don't want to line it with foil to prolong its life. I am very disappointed in this product.

👤I don't use this pan for its intended purpose, so Farberware probably won't like my saying that. A rabbit loves chewing up litterboxes and uses it as a litter pan. Her chewing on them could cause serious problems, such as emergency surgery, or even death. I thought of a metal pan to stop her. She can't eat metal. The dimensions were needed to make a roasting pan. She rusted out a few of the pans that were sold by a different manufacturer. When I couldn't find them at the local large department store chain, I looked on Amazon and found this pan. I would definitely use this pan for cooking if I weren't using it as a litterbox because it has a heavier rack than the other brand. I will not put the pan in my cupboard when she dies. They recycle, unlike plastic litterboxes. The handles are something the rabbit likes. She likes to entertain herself by flipping one up with her nose and letting it flop back down. Repeatedly. She likes the clanking sound it makes.

👤There are a lot of things to like about this roasting pan, but it has one flaw - the handles. The pan is large enough to hold a 12-pound turkey, but not so large that you can't store it easily, and the rack fits the pan perfectly. The pan is hard to lift into position when it's in a hot oven and you're using pot holders. I was worried about being burned or dropped the turkey. The turkey rolls around when you cook it breast-down because the rack is flat.

👤I agree with the poor quality of this product. I have only used mine a few times, and it's getting worse faster than it should. A $5 rebate was offered at the time I purchased this. I was within the purchase and submission times when I double checked. I mail it after filling it out. It took a long time, but they sent me the check. I deposited it, and my bank just told me that it was missing! Terrible product, terrible ethics and terrible company.

👤The pan is nice, but the lid is too short to fit in a different pan. It is not a snug fit. If I turn the lid upside down it will fit. What is the purpose of the handle?

👤Be careful. I read all the reviews and figured out that the breaking problems were due to not pre heating the oven or other operator errors. I was wrong. There were flaws in the glass when I received it. They had swirls and lines that looked like they were placed on something. I went to a box store to purchase them because I wanted to check them for flaws and defects.

👤After just two uses, this shattered in the oven. I cut my hand out of the oven because there were still tiny pieces of glass in it. Completely unacceptable. This item needs to be recalled.

👤It's unbelievable. I've been in the glass industry for 29 years. These are not good. We will be sending them back again. Some of the larger items have cracked in the bottom, some are from the glass being shaped, others are within the structure known as a fissure or Runner. Someone looked at the factory and decided to let it slide. This is the reason why the dishes break when heat is applied in the oven or dishwasher. Not a good product. Hold them up to the light and look at the bottom closely.

👤I used my Pyrex for both baking and roasting, you can choose different sizes according to the amount of food you cook. I like the fact that it has a lid that you can use to store food after cooking. Transferring to a different container is no longer necessary. It is very convenient. I love it so much.

👤It works like a charm, crisps up whatever you want to fry. In a few moments, raising and steaming is done. You can fry your eggs with just a pat of butter. If you need to finish it off in the oven, you can use this method. The potatoes are in a hurry. It's a dream to clean up and it can be done with a little soak and soft sponge scrubber. There are no metal spatulas. Allow a little extra time before adding food because preheating is necessary for this pan. I have used cast iron for my whole life and this one has a non-stick lining. If you cook on your stove top, turn off the heat about 15 minutes before you finish. Don't put it in the sink, add water to soak it up. It's just a precautionary measure. I like to coat my grandmothers pans with a coat of inner coating and not need to season them. I use the best pan I have. Trust me, this will be your go–to pan. The weight is down side. I am an old lady and it is heavy. Enjoy. There is peace.

👤Long term Le Creuset owner and very satisfied with the product. When we decided it was time to own a braiser, we looked at Le Creuset, but then I came across the Lodge. I own quite a few Lodge traditional cast iron pots and pans and thought it would be fun to try this at close to the price. I read reviews that said to check the quality as the quality may not be as good. Ours was perfect and I like the finish of the Lodge. The Le Creuset requires a pot holder to get the handle out of the oven, but this one requires a mitt or pot holder to get the handle out. Do you need a braiser? It's the best value on the market. I immediately ordered a Lodge Dutch Oven for our daughter.

👤The first casserole I received had a bulge on the bottom that wouldn't fit on the burner. I called the lodge to see if it was normal and they told me to return it. The second casserole was perfect. It works well as an open or covered skillet and as a casserole. I washed it and applied a small amount of oil or butter. Eggs, potatoes, pancakes, caramelizing onions, and etc. cook great and do not stick. It's great for cooking on top of the stove and baking in the oven. This pan can be used to cook anything and is great to use all the time. It is a beautiful color and it is very good quality like my lodge enameled 6 quart. I use the Dutch Oven all the time. The size is convenient for two people. I don't think you can go wrong with this pan. I use this covered casserole all the time, not only for casseroles, chili, soups, stew, etc., but also for bacon, eggs, sauteed foods, and a plethora of other tasks! I underestimated how much room I needed to add potatoes to my shepherds pie. The results were quite messy in the oven. This was the biggest test so far for my pan. I was going to have to get my Scrub Daddy out to work on it. It came out looking brand new after being soaked in warm, soapy water for 5 minutes. I am impressed. Nothing I have cooked in this pan has stuck, and it cooks everything great! After baking in the oven, the pan keeps everything hotter for a longer period of time. This pan is amazing.

👤First of all, I was deceived. The description doesn't say it is a two pan set, but I see two pans in the picture. It says a two piece pan, which I thought was the pan and the cover. I go by the description. Don't order another if you need two. The lids are not sealed. They snap on. I think it's a good value for the money. The October update says that the lids are not good. Break at corners.

👤I have used standard metal loaf pans that eventually rust, silicone molds that work well but are small, and finally this glass loaf pan, which is a tradeoff of flexibility vs strength. I bake cakes in these pans and have been impressed with the glass type. You can see how the bake is going around the edges, rather than just the top. I don't know what the lids are for. The instructions don't say that the lids don't come with a separate seal, so the company needs to look at them. It is possible that this is due to a change in manufacture or design, and possibly due to the factory being located outside of the company so that they don't check changes. I recommend this glass loaf pan for baking loaf-shaped cakes.

👤I got these because of the two pack and lids, and I don't regret it at all. They provided a nice bake on my bread and didn't break like other brands pics show. The small handles are not a problem, they are wonderful. Before putting them in the over, I recommend washing them and letting them get to room temp.

👤I bought this set on Black Friday. The glass is of good quality. I bought a glass pan with a lid from another company and it is difficult to take off. I used the pans for four times to bake banana bread loaves and other goodies to keep the kids happy this holiday season since they can't enjoy fully due to COVID-19. One pan fell from my hand and landed on the counter. There were no cracks. There was no chips. It is a solid set. Pans are dishwasher safe. I wash them.

Most of the bake products items that I have used are non-stick, but the problem with non-stick is scratches that can be caused when removing the item from it and may have the problem of layer mixed with food while baking. I used the glass one to avoid that and it worked perfectly. I was able to bake anything that I wanted and it was very easy to clean and no longer bothered me with scratches. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for easy handling and cleaning without causing food damage.

👤I am a family of one and the best way to save is to shop for groceries. Buying family packs and the likes is what it means. I make meals ahead and freeze them in containers. They are perfect, one portion size; they stack nicely in my freezer; they work well to thaw and re-warm in my oven; then toss when my meal is over. They are great for left-overs and to send extras home with friends who have come for dinner. They are easy to use and sturdy. It gets better than that.

👤I cook for myself because I'm single and live alone. I usually cook a lot on Sunday afternoons, then freeze it in single-serving containers for later use. I decided to use these foil pans because plastic can be convenient but expensive. They are working well so far. The measurement at the top of the container is about 5.25" x 4.12". The sides slope inward, so the measurement at the bottom is smaller. Keep that in mind. I crimped the foil over the lid to hold it in place for freezing. I either thaw and place it in a microwave-safe dish or use my toaster oven to thaw it. I've used them for things like chicken enchiladas, orange chicken with jasmine rice, Salisbury steak and mashed potatoes, and breakfast casserole. There were no problems at all. They are not what I would call heavy duty. I put them on the baking sheet in the oven. I understand that making them from a heavier gauge aluminum would be more expensive, so I'm careful when filling, storing, and re-warming them. I like them a lot and will likely buy this brand again when needed. 4 out of 5 stars. Will purchase again.

👤These are very strong. I have bought others that were flimsy and twisted. The foil is strong and thick. I have been able to reuse them. There is a good supply of lids with foil one side and cardboard the other. The price is very good compared to what I've paid before, and they arrived quickly. I do a lot of cooking and storing so I'll be buying different sizes.

I have been happy with them for the less messy stuff and have reused them several times. If you're going to reuse them, they're very thick and durable.
