Best Baking Pans Set Glass

👤Poor quality pans are extremely dangerous. I have never put them on the countertop while it's hot. Yesterday when I picked up the pan to put away after it had been washed and dried, it cracked in half and sliced my arm open. The cut required a trip to the ER and 9 stitches. Purchasing a higher quality pan will save you money in the long run, and you will also avoid going to the emergency room. Don't buy if you're warned.

👤I was very excited to receive this product. The product was not faulty but there is an issue with the design. I wanted to have a way to store my pies and quiches in the fridge. This would have been like a Tupperware type thing. It wasn't. There are large vent holes on the lid. It's almost like a microwave plate cover. If they wanted to vent the lid just in case you wanted to re-warm your food, then you could store it in the fridge to keep it fresh without letting air in. I would have never wasted my time or money if I had known about the vents. Sorry OXO.

I don't have to put food from the oven pan to a serving plate because the look is so attractive and it looks nice on the table along side my dishes and I can take it to a party and set it on a buffet table. The inside ceramic glaze is non porous, so food does not stick. All arrived in perfect condition. It's a great gift if you're substantial and sturdy.

👤Don't get them. They are easy to break. Two pans broke in the same spot. Two days after the policy was implemented, my second pan broke, which is upsetting because I wasted money on pans that can't handle standard use. I washed them to make sure they were well cared for. I would like to believe that the next set would be fine if I swapped them. I won't take that change so they go back. I have a hard time finding new ones because of the large pans. The Anchor Hocking dish was not dropped or banged into and was resting on a rubber bottom of the storage cabinet. This glass is not possible. 70% of the glass stayed in the cabinet, but some of it flew out with force. A piece of metal pierced my foot. It was a deep cut and I needed to be treated by a doctor. I had this product for less than a year. I wouldn't buy this brand again. I cook all the time in my fifties. I've never experienced glass breaking this way before. No one should have this product in their house. I don't want a replacement or a refund. I don't want anyone else to get hurt.

👤Within 5 seconds of being put in the oven, this pie plate shattered. There were no obvious defects in the glass and the oven temperature was within the range the plate is supposed to tolerate. I'm not sure what happened. It was a waste of money and it broke when I was trying to cook Christmas Dinner. The other two plates were thrown away. I don't want another pie ruined. Don't buy it.

👤If you're looking for containers with lids that fit onto the container, then these are for you. 99% of the containers fit the lids. They're small for the job at hand and not tight. The glass containers are of decent size. I didn't have any issues with the packaging. There were no chips or scratches in the box. If a container has a lid, then it should fit on there tightly. I've had them pop off when I've moved containers around in a cabinet and even when they have contents in them, which is quite scary.

Hopefully this set will last for a lot of Mothers' Day.

Real Pyrex is made from borosilicate which is very heat resistant and cheap lime glass. The Pyrex brand was sold by Corning in 1998 and the current owners use it as a brand name, but they don't make it out of actual pyrex glass. You can find references to exploding pyrex on the internet, including from Consumer Reports. I wish I'd done the search before I bought this, it's left me with an oven full of shattered glass. If you are looking for Pyrex, you should look for borosilicate baking dishes.
