👤It doesn't work well with most boxed mixes, but I used it just fine. I used it for cupcakes with Betty Crocker's Devil's Food cake mix. Before adding this, mix all the ingredients. It should be the last thing added at the end, mixed in and put in the oven. I added a tiny bit extra when it gave you the ratio of mix to water. It will be thick and frothy. Eggs add substance and structure to what you bake so if you don't have them the end product is light and airy. Adding fruit to the batter will add substance and nutrition. Black beans or zucchini can be used for chocolate, apple or pumpkin, and beets can be used for a red velvet cake. If you don't use this product, fill your cake tins a little bit more than you would if you did, because what you're making won't rise much with this. I usually fill my cakes about 1/3 of the way up, and they come out perfectly. We use this regularly for baking because it's so easy to buy all of the ingredients in one container. I've found that using a stand or hand mixer to work some air into your batter before adding the powder/water slurry helps what you're baking rise so much better. Baking powder and lemon juice can be added to help it along. The rising power is boosted by the lemon juice in the baked good. The devil's food cake mix from the store and a can of cherry pie filling in place of oil is the best success we've had so far. It was perfect!
👤The product directions say that this won't work with some cake mixes. Duncan Hines mixes won't rise very well with this egg replacer. Adding a cup of water and baking powder to the dry ingredient mixture will make it more moist. A good result can be achieved with a maximum of 2 minutes of beating and oil in the oven. I use coconut oil. You get a great taste.

The pound cake was a little denser than it normally is, but that is to be expected when cutting eggs out completely, as it's such a crucial ingredient for a pound cake. It was a huge hit and people wouldn't know the difference. Cookies don't need the same rising and fluffiness of a cake, so they come out the same. I am very impressed with this product and will continue to use it. You should not have any problems following the directions. It's tip*. You may want to add a little more liquid to your pancake batter. Once it is blended together, resist the temptation to stir your batter more. This batter poofs up big time if you use a larger bowl. Our pancakes are about an inch thick and taste great. I am not supposed to eat pancakes anymore. It's great in biscuits.

I think that I can experiment more and get better results. I think it's as good as low fat buttermilk and better than regular whole/ 2%/skim milk for biscuits. The flavor of this powder is different from the fresh powder, but it is not a bad thing to try. The quantity lasts well and the value is good. I buy this from time to time because stores around me don't always have whole buttermilk and this is a great plan B.

I add an additional 1/2 cup of flavor to blander fish, like tilapia, by putting it right in the bag and shaking it. I've used premixed lemon-pepper, ginger-sesame, cajun blackened and old-bay clone spice mixes in addition to using it plain. It doesn't stand up very well on its own, but it is a perfect texture. We sprinkled each filet with our choices if we can't agree on a flavor. I've used regular panko for fish and it always ends up a little sticky. It seems less salty than other shake n' bakes, but it works well with fish. Being able to still commit to one meal of fish a week regardless of my work hours is a big deal, and with the high prices of meats now, fish is being a great choice.

I can't grill all year in Michigan. During the winter, this BBQ Shake n bake is an acceptable substitute. The packaging was the problem with this order. When I received the order, I opened the boxes and found that one packet was open at a seam about 1/3 the width of the packet, and the coating mix was loose inside the box. I contacted Amazon for a replacement and found the same condition as the one they sent. The coating mix was loose inside the box and one packet was open. It seems to be an issue with the equipment. The individual boxes and the outer case box were all undamaged and sealed, so the open packets must have been put into the box that way. I placed the order in October of 2020 and all the boxes were expired in January of 2022, so they weren't outdated. I took the sealed packet from each box and threw the rest away because Amazon didn't want the first one back. I ended up with one case of product, but I will not be ordering it again. The product is okay, it's just a temporary problem with the packaging equipment, so I am giving it 3 stars. I have also sent an email to them.

The chicken came out great. There were no leftovers. I'll have to buy another package of pork chops.
