Best Baking Rack for Oven Cooking with Pan

👤Don't buy if you're warned. I wanted to cook bacon in this pan. The coat came off the rack after only 3 months of use. It was not shiny. I tried to use the lifetime warranty, but couldn't. If anyone succeeds in getting a replacement for this company's warranty, I would be surprised.

👤I'm going to review a USA Pan product. I am not impressed with this at all. I was surprised at how poorly it cleans up, I don't expect my bakeware to remain pristine and shiny looking, but still...) The pan seems to be a good weight in hand, but it doesn't stand up to higher temperatures than about 350. I was surprised by the fact that it has always flattened out. I am happy with the rack that comes with it. I haven't noticed any peeling of their special coating on the inside, but I have noticed no advantage to the coating as far as release of food or cleaning. Measure if this pan will fit in the oven. It fits in my kitchen with a half inch clearance on either side and slightly overhangs the depth of my oven rack, but not so much that the oven door can't be closed. I was aware that this is a large pan, but just to point it out to others.

👤Makes great bacon, it's easy to fit one pound of bacon on this rack. The results are awesome after trying it with chicken breasts.

👤It's a shame. The aluminum is thick and sturdy, and it would have been a great purchase. The coating is very thin. Without using any harsh scrubbers, without using excessive temperatures, and without any harsh scrubbing, the coating is gone. A full-size baking mat is used to cover the pan. Disappointed to a very high degree.

👤Great addition to my kitchen. The pan seems sturdy, but after 6 minutes in the oven, I heard the "warp pop", which shocked me. Once cooled, it straightened out. I didn't hear that happen while I was doing a sheet of bacon in the oven. The rack is great for cooling my home baked breads and muffins, and it did a great job with the bacon as well. The rack is not as strong as it could be. I tried to wash it after it arrived, but I'm not strong. I've taken care to be gentle since then. I thought it would be difficult to clean up after a bacon run. I wish I had an industrial sink for my pan. It's a good thing. The bacon grease that had pooled in the pan and subsequently burnt to the surface washed away with just the stream of water. It left a faint stain on the metal. I'm hoping that fades away quickly. I kept the rack in the pan, but have noticed small scratches if the rack is moved within it. They seem to rub off without effort. This set is still a great addition to my kitchen, even though it is not perfect.

👤They are what they say they are, but they don't mention that they rust up. The water gets up under the pan so it will rust. I washed them the first time. The rusty water ran out of the edges on to the floor after an hour of sitting. It was shocked and amazed. I need to learn to shop local for certain items.

👤I'm a huge fan of non-stick baking items, they're easy to keep clean, and truly non-stick. I just finished my second batches of sugar cookies and it was easy. I lightly buttered the pans before the first batches came in, and that was the last time I did that. The batches were cooked to perfection and slid off with no sticking. And washing-up? The finish is as perfect as it was when it was fresh out of the box, because there was no trace of anything on either of the pans. I've never been a big fan of such things, but these deserve a rave, especially at the price. I went to Walmart and paid more for similar pans but only had a food stick and non-stick wash off. I washed it by hand.

👤I had to return them because they seem like they'd be great. The size listed is 9x13, but it's the bottom dimensions. The sides flare out a bit and the top edge is rolled so that the top dimensions are 9.75 x 13.75 These pans don't fit in the oven because of the sides flaring out, but I bought them to use in my Breville Toaster Oven to replace a 13" round pan.

👤The pans are only 1/3 " deep. I bought them to use as cookie sheets because they are the right length and width for my countertop oven. The cookie sheet will fall in the oven. The quality is not as good as $1 store cookie sheets. I didn't want to return them, but I did not want to put them in a wrapper. I don't have a good cookie sheet because I'm out $10. I will not buy a product from them again.

👤Do not recommend. There are many weird things. After washing, there is a weird color that drips. There is always a small amount of greyish water draining from the back lip of the tray. There was a lot of scratching from sitting against each other. The scratches are on the corners and edges of the tray, not from utensils. They are showing scratches from being placed against each other in a cabinet. The tray that's used for food does not hold up well.

👤These would be perfect if it wasn't for the brown liquid under the side folds. I washed it before using it. The clean sheet was leaking rust liquid quickly. Since they are bent over, you can't clean in the folds, so I didn't know if there was grease. The pans can work, but you can't stack them because of the brown liquid dripping. I haven't used them so I would like to return them. It is not eligible. These are non-refundable if you are going to purchase.

👤I'm trying to buy American and I want products that are free of harmful chemicals. I don't want to buy Chinese products. How many shills can be bought in 2020? My experience is a professional chef. The chicken was placed on the wire rack and brushed with lite BBQ sauce. 2. There were permanent stains on the pan from BBQ sauce that dripped onto it. The pan was cleaned with soapy cloth. The end of the sponge scrubber is soft after a lot of use. The Americoat coating was scratched off by this. I said very little elbow-grease during cleaning. The reviews should have been listened to. The product is not safe for use and should not be sold on Amazon. Remove this product from Amazon.

👤I think it will help prevent warping by being heavy/solid for the size. It seems to clean up well. I just unwrapped it from the packaging and the coating is rubbing off at 4 of the 6 contact points between the sheet and the rack, the other 2 have rough patches started. The rack had been wrapped in additional cardboard. There are 6 starting points for additional and expedited chipping, and it makes me uneasy.

👤The pan is already garbage and it is unsafe to use it for a long time. If you want a pan for home use that is safe to use for 6 to 11 months, this is the pan for you. The customer was unhappy with the purchase.

👤The pan and rack set was made in the US. I'm trying to find US made cooking items. The pan is made in the US, but the rack is made in China. I would like to know that.

👤The rating was lowered to 2. I originally thought it was the benefit of the doubt and went with a 4. The picture shows the coating coming off with not much use. I will not use this pan without lining it with foil. Not what I expected. I was torn between giving it 3 or 4 stars. I was hoping for a 5 star product. I returned the first one because it had a lot of scratches and needed better packaging. It was heated to 450 degrees and warped, but it was within their stated operating temperature range. The cheap ones warp at 350. The non-stick surface is nice. I will probably buy at least one more from USA pan since they are made in the U.S., but at 2x the price of others, I will also be buying some of the lower priced competitors as I replace some of my older sheets. I used the included rack to cook bacon. I put the rack in the dishwasher despite the description that it is not dishwasher safe because it was hard to clean after. I'm including it as information for anyone who reads it.

👤I used chops-n-shake for the first time. The bread crumbs that fell through could not be cleaned off the pan. I contacted USA Pan and got no response. It was the first time last time.

👤I ordered the same brand and it held the same number of slices. I really liked the 12 inch pan and it kept the bacon out of the grease. I ordered the 18 slice pan because I wanted a bigger pan. The pan is too shallow, the bacon is in the grease, and the grease pops in the oven, which is enough to dirty it with several uses. I don't recommend the 18 slice. I used mine once, and I was so disappointed. I had high expectations for the 12 slice pan. The 18 slice pan was shallow in the bottom. It is too shallow and collects more grease. I don't think you will like it if you buy it. I am buying a 12 slice pan and returning my 18 slice pan. The pan depth is different for 18 inches to 12 inches slices.

👤This thing works. It doesn't work well. It takes a while to place the bacon slices in the slots. You have to flip the bacon slices about half way through cooking. You have to use the bacon slices because the one on the end cooks much faster. Cleaning isn't easy. Imagine cooking bacon in a pan and cleaning the pan.

👤I have been without this for 37 years. I have never had bacon that delicious. My daughter and husband like slightly softer. I love this pan because I can accomplish all types and it doesn't make bacon greasy as it runs off and cleans super easy. It's a great gift idea for people who love bacon. I think I will give one of these to everyone I know for Christmas next year. I don't want to live without this pan again. Love! Heaven! Must have! You will never want to eat bacon again.

👤I love the rack for the bacon, it fits around 18 slices, and the Gotham Steel makes it easy to clean. It doesn't come that clean in a dishwasher from doing a pound of bacon, that's the only complaint I have. Sometimes I prefer rinsing and throwing in the dishwasher because it's easy to clean. It makes a large backing sheet without the rack. When using the Gotham Steel coating for something other than bacon, it doesn't require any additional oil or cooking spray. If I flip the bacon halfway through the cooking process, I get better results.

👤These pans are wonderful. It's so easy to make bacon. I have two pans that I can use for both soft and crisp food. It's great. I have perfect bacon when I put them in the oven. I start doing my breakfast after 30 minutes. Everything is done the same way.

We had never had bacon like that before, and can't wait for the next chance to use it.

👤Don't read their instructions. They will tell you not to use cooking spray. They are incorrect. You will not get the taste of fried food but you will get the crispness of frozen foods. Put foil on the bottom sheet and lightly spray the basket to make it last longer. I like using coconut oil spray because it is the least intrusive tasting spray. Don't layer your items on the basket. I made a mistake with the onion rings. If you're cooking something like onion rings, flip it. Ignore the instructions. I got soggy fish filets. I've gotten the process down since then. This is very small. If you make enough money, you could feed a couple of people. onion rings take up a lot of space You could fit two in most ovens with these. The pictures of the first meal I made on this were attached. You can see how bad things were but don't stack them like I did.

👤The pan was used to bake chicken. The drippings were stuck to the pan. The copper came off when I tried to scratch it off with a plastic spatula. If it's easy to ruin, I won't be buying Copper Chef again.

👤I have a large smart oven from Breville that does both air and convection. I bought this to make up for the lack of air fry function. And you know what? This works just as well as a bake or roast. I make a lot of things, such as tater tots and hashbrowns, which all turn out evenly crisp, and delicious chicken wings, which are great, but sort of a midway between baked and fried. If you have the same oven as mine, I'm okay with that.

👤This product was pretty good. I have baked a lot of things with this pan/rack, and everything has turned out great. I have been using this almost everyday for about two months now, and it has never warped in or out of the oven. The highest temperature I have used it at was 450 F. Very strong. The wire rack is sturdy and can fit inside the pan no matter the temperature. It will scratch. - It will be hard to keep it sparkling. It has brown grease spots. The pan's edges are brown, but I use tin foil in the bottom to catch the juices. It is almost pointless to try and keep it clean, even though there must be a way to get those stains out. I am satisfied with how it performs in cooking my food. Which has been great! In regards to cleaning, I put the wire rack upside down in the pan and pour soapy water in it so that it will soak for at least 30 minutes. I take the wire rack into the sink and use a brush to clean it up, not a sponge or rubber. If you use a sponge scrubber, you can catch it on the edge of the rack and tear it. The brush will reach more areas than the sponge. If you don't care about your pan looking pretty, I would recommend you to get a new one. Good luck!

I didn't have a lot of doubts about the quality, but more of the size I was concerned about, but it fits about a pound and a half of thick cut bacon on here with no problem, and the rack holes are perfect for the bacon not to fall through! I am very pleased with this rack and look forward to many more. When shopping, the empty bacon bag is included.

👤I really wanted to use this product. I was washing for the second time. I washed it when I received it, but didn't use it until I was ready to use it. I wiped the paper towel on the soap I used. The video shows something coming off the tray as I was drying the sheet. I don't think it's food safe to me. I threw away the package I was stuck with.

👤I used this to cook a turkey. The bird turned out well. I received this item and it appears to be bent/warped. The pan is in the middle. I kept it because I needed it to entertain my guests the next day. After the very first use, there were a lot of spots of discoloration that appeared after cleaning.

👤When I picked it up, I was surprised by its heft. It felt heavy so I got a magnet and verified it was aluminum. I think the heft is due to two things. The pan itself is a heavy gage aluminum with a nice robust beaded edge, and within the rolled edge bead my magnet detected what could be a heavy steel wire. A steel wire inside the edge is likely to help stiffen the pan. I'm very pleased with this pan so far. I'll adjust the review once I get used to it.

👤This pan is great for baking cookies. The texture on the bottom makes it stick to the pan. The obsidian black is a nice color. Nothing seems to stick yet for my baking, so it is easy to rinse clean. It is a nice quality baking sheet. I like the quality of it so much that I may buy more as it looks nice in my baking.

👤The sheets were bent/uneven and there was no way to clean them. It means that these racks can be used for cooling baked goods and cooking meats. The meats and oils will stick to the struts and Every because the racks are not coated with anything. Single. Crevice. I have made bacon on them in the oven three times and the cleaning process is long and difficult. A toothbrush scrubber or grill brush is needed. The feet for all three of the racks will not sit evenly and the only way to bend the sheet is to hit all four of them at the same time. The first time I used the sheets for cookies, I almost catapulted one onto the floor when the sheet tipped. The overall impression was 3 stars. You get what you pay for. I will buy a non-stick coating sheet for my meats/grilling next time around and keep these for cooling purposes only.

👤These are nice. They are used for cooling and baking. Baking is the challenge. The bars are all parallel, so they are easy to clean, and the gauge of wire is nice. The design of my old rack made it hard to keep the meat or skin intact and it also made them hard to clean. I use the large one to bake chicken thighs and other items that I want to spread out in my pan. I have not used them under the heat, but I expect them to be fine. This set of racks is a great value.
