Best Baking Rack for Oven

👤I am very disappointed. Within 11 minutes of the oven, the pan warped and twisted. It never did completely change. I was expecting a better price for 34 dollars. This item will definitely be returned.

👤I bought two of these pans to use for Christmas cooking. I spent Christmas eve cooking and baking with these pans. There was a lot of build up in the pans. I baked fish on top of the rack. I loved them! But them. When it was time to clean them, I soaked them in warm water and let them sleep. This is what I woke up to today, as I do with all my pans. My pans are ruined. I have had my 40 dollar pans for 40 years. I loved these pans for 6 hours and then I had to clean them. I'm very disappointed. I wish you a Merry Christmas.

👤I will definitely order another one of these pans. Excellent quality, I love how sturdy this pans is. I checked the Amazon description and it said it was dishwasher safe, but I was hesitant to put it in the dishwasher. I should have washed them with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and dish soap, but they came out with dried spots. I tried and the spots came out. The pan's finish looked scratched. See the picture! Hand wash the pan. There is no clean up if the pan is lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper.

👤The pan and rack are small. I like it. The material rusts because of the rolled in edges that retain water. It leaves brown rust water when I pick it up. I think I will have to return it. It's the perfect size and would be great for baking fish.

👤The pan and rack are heavy, so that's a plus, but there are problems. There is a heavy edge, but there is a gap between the side of the pan and the rim, so you can't really dry it well, so rust will build up over time. The top edge of the pan has rough spots that look like a knife was run over it. There is a spot on the rack edge that is stuck and can not be removed. I haven't cooked it yet, but I think it will be a great pan.

👤Within a month my pan is starting to rust in the crevices on the back side and is completely discolored from hot substances making contact with it. The pan is not holding up the way I expected, but the rack is fine. It works well for cooling and drying out food, but the fit and finish fell apart very quickly. I expected it to be a bit more durable, but maybe there's some user error here, I should have seasoned it or it's not for use with high temperature liquids or foods.

👤The pan/rack set is perfect for me. It was used for drying salted steaks in the fridge. The 1/2 size sheet pan takes up a lot of space. This one is large enough to fit on the top shelf. Excellent quality and weight. It's great for baking and other cooking tasks, if you use it on the small size, and I use it to bake a few sweet potatoes at a time. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

👤I bought one rack from another source for more than the entire set. I sent it back because it was bad. I got more than one large one that I needed for my water bath canner from this set of 3 racks, it was perfect, no product issues, great price, and I got more than I needed. The 7.5" and 9" are compatible with my stockpot. I haven't had a chance to speak to their longevity yet, but they seem to be as good a quality as my intellectual property, and I feel like they will last a long time if maintained as they should be. Don't leave them sitting in water for a long time, don't bake food on them to eat away at the finish, and don't let them drink water for a long time.

👤I bought these for canning. I boil the jars in my large soup pot. The racks held up well. There isn't any rust on them so far. I only use them once in a large pot of water and once in a large Skillet of water to cook the lids. There is no rust on the surface of the wrecks and they fit well inside of a variety of Skillet and pot sizes. They work well and are lightweight, and of course Amazon ships fast. I have everything I need for the weekend.

👤I use the racks in my cast iron pots or crock pots to raise my chickens and roast them above the grease that comes from cooking. It keeps the meat from getting wet. They do their job. I'm sure you could use them in larger air fryers. I purchased them for the job and they do a good job.

👤I was looking for a nice round rack that would allow me to use a pot of boiling water instead of using a big long cookie cooling rack in the cabinet. This set is the perfect size and gives you 3 different options to use on different pots, it is very easy to clean and store stacked up. The units are very sturdy.

I decided to purchase them because of the positive reviews. The metal is very heavy and well soldered. No breaks or bends. I think they will hold up. 👤I was expecting a good product. There are two products that I received. The mat is made of silicone. The pans are large and well made. The racks are much deeper than shorter models. They are a great value. I would have been thrilled to get one set at this price, now that I have seen the value. It's an amazing deal to get sets. You won't be upset with the product. I didn't dare to hope for them.

👤A piece of kitchen ware. You get two. The shine on these is as good as a mirror, and the quality of them is great. Teflon/Aluminum/Steel sheets are worth more work than they are worth. They say they were dishwasher safe and found that due to small holes in the rolled edges they would trap water and when removed from my dishwasher it dripped dirty rusty water. The set of STAINLESS STEEL is no longer available. The things I bake get heated and cooked on the wire rack. It was difficult to find this size in many stores. The right size is worth the price. I don't like the non stick sheets as they are hard to clean.

👤It's more like steel plated and holds the smell of the food you cook very well. If it were up to me, I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone because the mats are trash. Had to wash it several times before the smell was noticeable.

👤The trays have magnets on them. They are of the lowest possible quality, but that doesn't mean they are not STAINLESS STEEL. You can't use the metal on the cooktop because it's not magnetic. The package was open when the trays arrived. I was surprised that everything was in the box. It is a bitter disappointment that they are magnetic.

👤I love these pans and have used them daily since I bought them, they are clean and shine well. I baked a sheet cake in them and noticed that the black liner is starting to fall off, it looks like fine hair. I will keep the pans, but I will find a better liner for them.

👤Works well. The pan still works even though it warps a little. I put the grate in the dishwasher. I wash the pan by hand. I put foil on it when I cook. It is easy to clean up.

I paid less than $20, and had no idea what the quality was going to be, but I bought it because the price was the same, and I needed to update 3 items, and the order was doubled. I'm in! It has been a dream to use and even clean this offering, and I didn't know it at the time. Nothing has stuck on it yet, and no strange smells have arisen. It's good! You will not be disappointed. 👤These cookie sheets were what I wanted. I was concerned about the reviews that said adverse events in the oven. This was not my experience at all. The pans were straight. Everything went well. I didn't like the look of the mats. I will wait to try them out. The racks were a bonus. They were used for cooling. These cookie sheets are very nice. They are easy to clean.

👤The 18/0 isferritic, not the more typical 18/10. The big stamp on the bottom seems to have not made it to any of the product pictures. I don't know about the rack. It's not the same alloy, but it could be a different grade. This is a heavy article of cookware.

👤I wanted it to be high quality and non-toxic for my budget. I haven't had success with Norpro bakeware in the past, so I was nervous to try out another affordable option. I gave it a try after reading the awesome reviews. I'm very happy! It's much thicker than I expected, which was something I was worried about. A clean up is a good thing. It's seriously. The cooling rack addition allowed us to make bacon that was the best I have ever eaten. Yes, seriously. The pan went straight from sitting on a cold island counter to a 400 degree oven and that was a mistake. The times that I set my pan on the stove as it preheats the popping is never an issue. Would highly recommend this pan.

👤The pan has a rack. It could be used for cooling cookies or baking bacon in the oven. I put them in the dishwasher and they come out clean. I only had them for a month but I am very happy with them. I can see that the quality is pretty good. I'm trying to convert most of my baking and cooking stuff to non stick because of Teflon. I am.

👤Sometimes you think you are the cause of the problem when you write poor reviews. I have had this for a long time and it warps whenever I use it. Anything on it pops off when it warps. I have tried to put in the oven while preheating. I tried heating up in the oven, but when it pops to take out, I have to wait and re- install the oven. Sorry for the poor review but the truth is the truth for me.

👤I love this pan. I brought it to cook chicken. I use it to make bacon. I don't think I'll be cooking bacon anymore. It's very easy to clean. Kitchen appliances are like toys for kids. I love it.

👤This pan shines like an old car bumper. Its steel is 18/0. The pan was well packaged when it arrived. The pan in the oven made a clatter sound when I used it. The pan needs to be cooled down. I will use the pan with caution since I have it.

👤This is a good product. I'm mostly using it to roast veggies. I used it with and without the rack. I have used a roasting temp of 425 degrees and it has not warped or given any trouble. I like that it is not made from aluminum.

👤The sheets look nice and have a nice mirror finish, but they warp in higher temperatures. I baked around 400-450 and both pans warped. When cooking some salmon, once for baking potatoes, once for roasting carrots and once for brussel sprout. When you force them back as they cool, you don't want to worry that they will go back to the flat shape when you throw them in the oven. I had high hopes, but not the best sheet pans. Unless you don't like nice browning, I would go with another brand.

👤An extra pan with a rack works perfectly in my air fryer. The pan is the right size for two people. It seems to repel water with a shiny finish. I was surprised at how easy it is to clean this pan. I only use the pan with the rack for air frying and reheated leftovers, and I line the pan with paper to catch excess drippings. I am very pleased with this purchase and I would buy it again.

👤I've bought many pans over the years. In a short time, the racks start to lose their coating. You are eating it with whatever you cooked on it. Steel wool pads are used to clean the pans because of their baked-on appearance from oils/fats. I went back to basics with a pan. The pan and the rack are both heavy. If I soak them first, they will clean up easily. I think these will have a longer life than previous pans. Definitely recommend!

👤I really liked the look of the rack and tray, but when I tried it out with chicken drumsticks in an air fryer, the tray would warp in the heat, raising portions of the tray up. I put the second tray of the two-pack into the oven at 400 degrees to confirm. This tray twisted again. See the picture. It looks like they needed to make it a little bit heavier to resist the twist caused by the unevenly heating portion of the tray. I don't have a problem with a thin tray, it saves time in the oven by heating quickly, but you have to design the tray to cook under heat. It could be for some people's uses, but there are two main problems. The warp can lift food on the corner of the rack twice the height of the lift on the elevated corner, which is problematic for a low-clearance air fryer. The warp can happen suddenly, throwing juices or food.

👤I love these pans. The rating was 4 out of 5. They warp at high temperatures. Once they cool down, they come back into shape. I spray my food with olive oil baking spray when I'm cooking, and it stays on with a yellow, sticky mess, even though these pans are easy to clean for everything else. It comes off with some elbow grease. These pans are great.

👤So... I needed something to hold my earrings in place. I spray painted them white after getting these for the size and the grid design. They were mounted on the sides of the closet. They work well. I think they'd be good baking racks.

When you say to yourself, "what the hell was I cooking with a giant pan this whole time when I could've been using several smaller ones to do the same Job?", life has peaked. Being able to cook multiple dishes on multiple pans is appreciated. I can cook potatoes in a pan. Chicken is in another garden. These pans are so thick they are not going to bend. Score!

👤I ordered different sizes of pans. A full sheet pan, a 1/3 sheet pan, 3 half sheet pans, a 1/2 sheet pan, and a Jelly roll pan are included. Some of the pans had rack that fit in them. They aren't worth the money. They are not safe to use in the dishwasher. The pans have never been put in the dishwasher, but one of them accidentally got washed in the dishwasher within a couple of weeks after I got it, and the coating came off, and has gotten worse since then. After a couple of months, the coating on all of the others started peeling off and they are starting to get stained as well. It's getting harder and harder to tell which one was the one that went through the dishwasher. The coating on the pans is flaky because of the racks that came with them. I can't recommend them to anyone. I wish I had kept my cheaper ones. The reviews warn you that the coating will fall off. All of the positive reviews have to be paid for.

👤I had a pan like this for a long time. I like to cook bacon on weekends for breakfast, but I don't like the mess of the cook top and not being able to get the right amount of crispness on the bacon. I used this pan to cook bacon in my oven at 300 degrees. The clean up was easy because the bacon was cooked perfectly. The cooking takes longer, but if you time the making of the coffee and the cooking of the pancakes you should be good. I am happy that I bought two of them.

👤The baking rack and pan are the easiest to use and clean brands I have ever used. Heavy gauge steel that won't warp is easy to clean up. I have cooked bacon on this rack, and it cleans up like new. The instructions warn against using cooking spray as it will bake on a gummy coating that can only be removed by damaging the non-stick coating. After cooking bacon on the rack, I drain the grease and put the pan and rack in warm soapy water for 30 minutes. Then I use a plastic bristle brush to clean it. Voila! easypeezy. This will be an heirloom in the future if you put a little money up front. Thank you, USA!

👤One pan in the set bubbled on the second use. I got a replacement set after returning the set. Pan's finish bubbled on the first use of the replacement set. I never used either pan above 350 degrees, which is below the max temp shown in the instructions for use. There is something wrong with the pans. I wash my cooking pans in hand, never use scratchy pads or the dishwasher, and always use at or below recommended temperatures. Before they sell more of these, Chicago Metallic needs to know what's going wrong in the manufacturing process.

👤I have had these for over a month and they are ruined. I put two layers of foil on top of the pan, 4.5 pounds of rib rack, and two layers of foil on top of the ribs to seal them in, after they were fine for the first couple of uses. I cooked them for 4 hours at 250 and 30 minutes at 450. None of them warrants any damage according to the product specifications. I guess I'm stuck with them now that it happened after my return period. I'm trying to get a hold of the company to see if I can return in another way.

👤It was a great price at the time of purchase. I used it for the first time to cook chicken wings. The chicken fat was cooking in the pan when I cleaned it. The baked on fat took the non-stick coating with it. The second pan has been fine since I put down wax paper to catch drippings. I use it all the time, but wax paper is your friend at higher temperatures. Non-stick spray oil on the grate is not easy to clean, but it is sturdy and helps clean immensely.

👤We used these pans for five months to cook bacon in the oven at 400 degrees. We have always used nonscratching utensils and cleaning pads. There has been some minor staining over time, but it was only a cosmetic issue and did not affect the pan's performance. The picture shows the surface beginning to oxidize last week. 👤Our last set was warped pretty badly and I bought these because they don't warp or bend easily. I took that as a good sign when I saw these heavy pans. We have used ours multiple times a week and so far no one has bent, warped, or altered their shape. Our food cooks faster and more evenly on these pans compared to our old ones. There is a slight appearance on the surface after a few uses but that doesn't bother me as long as they continue to perform as they have. I would recommend these to my other cooking friends if they wanted to do the same.

👤The baking sheet I own is the worst I have ever owned. I used the first set twice before the coating bubbled and peeled. Maybe it was something I did wrong. They sent me a new set for free after I filed a claim. I used the new set 4 times and the same result...bubbling and peeling! Don't waste your money! You can find better quality pans at Walmart.

👤I want to let you know how much I like the S/S tray and rack set I bought for my air fryer oven. It was difficult to figure out if any of your tray and rack sets would fit in my oven because of the way you listed the dimensions. It took me a while to figure out that you were measuring them by the inside dimensions. I ordered some that I thought would fit, the size was 12.5" x 10" x 1", after I figured that out. The quality is great. I have an air fryer oven with Rapidcrisp that I can use if someone needs trays. Thanks for the great product and service. Rudy.

👤It looks nice. The rack is a great idea. I have used it for both baking and under the broiler, and the tray warps when heated. I would prefer it to stay flat while baking and broiling. The rolled edge would have given better stability. It was a disappointment. Customer Service contacted me after seeing the review and gave me a full refund without the hassle of returning the tray. They get an A+ for that, but I can't recommend the tray.

👤I ordered two sheet pans and both have some scratches on the inside sides of the tray. Even though the items were wrapped in plastic, I think the wire rack cut through the plastic made the marks. I don't think they should be packed together. I am not happy that both pans have scratches. One pan has three and the other has two. The wire rack is not as good as the pan. I hope it doesn't rust. The wire rack has sharp edges. I believe this is the cause of the scratches to the inside sheet pan edge during shipping because they ship the wire rack within the sheet pan. The plastic bag doesn't seem to offer protection from the scratches. Very unfortunate. Someone from TeamFar could comment on this issue.

👤The baking pan and cooling rack are nice. The STAINLESS seems to be good quality. I was almost afraid of what I read about inferior steel grades. I don't remember, but it seems to be a great grade for its purpose, even if it doesn't have a nickel in it. I don't have to worry about the chemicals that might have been in my food or the air from the non-stick baking pans I used because I now have a brand of pans that are more resistant to cracking. These don't seem to have a tendency to turn dark with stains that won't come off like the others. I am very pleased with my purchase and I think this is worth paying a little bit more for.

👤This was bought to replace the pan that was included with the Breville oven. It was difficult to find a pan that was the right size for our purpose. We use the oven a lot, and this pan means no more lining with aluminum foil. The wire grate I use to keep food from sticking to the bottom promotes browning on both sides. I love it more when I use it.

👤The America's Test Kitchen has been recommended to me many times and I have found it to be a great success. They have always cleaned up quickly for me with a soapy brush at the sink, and I have never experienced rust issues. They have done a great job for my needs. I ran out of rack space for a big project. These caught my attention when I was shopping for more racks. I thought I'd give them a try. How do they stack up? I always expect to be disappointed when I try anything blind. You might call me a cynic. * I have been pleasantly surprised. I could not imagine a rack that could go wrong with these. They fit my half sheets and are shiny. If price is a consideration and you're going to be using them as cooling rack and you're willing to wash your hands, I see no reason not to use the CIA rack. If I had an oven application, I would grab the Kitchenatics. Also a nerd. CIA 18.2 oz. Kitchenatics 17.91 oz.

👤I use a heavy duty cooling rack in my smoker to keep bacon out of the grate. The cross supports are strong. The unit is higher quality and costs more. I was docked for not controlling quality. The one I received had some messed up welds. I expected it to be straight. I tried to bend the wires back, but they are welded solid.

👤I waited several months to post this because I wanted to use the product extensively and see how we liked it. We make a lot of baked chicken, chicken wings, and pork chops, so we were looking for something to keep them out of the grease as they cook. I put this product with a Nordic Ware aluminum Baker's sheet and it was what we were looking for. The wings are very thin on 888-739-5110 It's difficult to clean. One of the best things about the product is the small grid, so I don't know how that could be fixed. It's worth the extra time to make sure you've gotten everything off.
