Best Baking Rings 5 Inch

👤This is a standard ring. The inside of the ring is clear of obstructions so you can line it with the substance. It works well on its smallest size, but it becomes difficult to make a larger cake when you are trying to make a larger cake. The inner and outer parts of the ring want to separate. It has a metal clip to hold them together, but without a second clip it can either hold in the tail end on the inside or the middle of the spiral together. It is hard to explain. It was difficult to make an 8” cake with it. I had to measure it myself because there were no markings for the diameter. You have to wrestle with it and have something to measure it. A cheap piece of metal would have solved the problem. I tried a cake ring but it had a large screw in the middle that rendered it pointless. The cake ring isn't perfect, but it will work until I find something better.

Where is my beautiful storage box? I got a bunch of loose rings. "fully welded seams"! The mine came spot welded. The first thing I notice is how sharp the seams are when I washed them. See the pics. It feels flimsy!

👤These rings are made with smooth seams and a solid rolled edge, and they sit on the griddle very flat. I used shortening to make sourdough crumpets. The crumpets were stuck in the rings and it was difficult to cook the top side. I had to use a sharp knife to get around them. I will try oil on the rings next time. I oiled the rings with vegetable oil after trying the crumpets again. Same problem! The crumpets were in the rings. I advise you to buy non-stick rings.

I haven't done the dishwasher yet because I'm already doing a pile of hand wash only and they're too easy to wash up quickly. I invested in and have used three of the 3.5" and 3", all of which have been consistent in quality and performance, because I was so pleased with these. I'm looking forward to exploring other uses for them. These rings are an outstanding value for their build quality and performance.
