👤If this review doesn't convince you to avoid NETGEAR, read the reviews from other customers. If you purchase a NETGEAR product after reading those, you will get what you deserve. I thought NETGEAR would be a good choice for an extender and was completely unprepared for the big scam attempt that happened. My goal is to warn people away from NETGEAR at all costs, so I will give 1 star for this device. After 30 years as a Database Specialist, I am tech literate enough to setup a simple device. The setup requires that the extender become aware of your router so that it can extend your signal. The booklet that comes in the box with the device has a page titled 'Connect with Web Browser Setup'. The photo is attached. Step 3 tells you to click on the New Extender Setup button on the page. You are on a page that looks like a NETGEAR page, but there is no new info on the extenders or a support chat. I am amused and surprised at how bad this support is, but not suspicious, until shady tech calls. He tries to trick me into giving him access to my computer by pretending to be a legit tech company. Is that true? He tried to defend his actions after I confronted him. The origin of this transaction was the NETGEAR Quick Start Booklet, so I was not on my guard. I am pretty sure lots of people get hooked on this and see The Sept 2018 1 star review telling the same story. NETGEAR is not a legit tech company as they do not know this is happening. Amazon is responsible for some things. Do you want to avoid NETGEAR products? I tried a number of ways to get in contact with someone at NETGEAR, but it was not possible. I went in circles for over an hour. If you still want to buy NETGEAR, read the 6-14-19 review by Chu, 9-23-18 by Miller, 6-11-19 Monteith, 2-21-19 Hughes or 10-5-18 with 'Beware' in title. One person says that SCAM tech support left them with a non-functional PC.

👤The 2.4g channel has stopped working on all devices after about 9 months of light use. After 90 days, they want you to pay for support, so they only offer complimentary support on this product. I found several posts with the same problem after researching this issue online. The settings are correct after a factory reset and a firmware update. A paid subscription is required to get a return authorization number, which can only be obtained through technical support. This doesn't seem right. I would not buy this product, but I will definitely consider other manufacturers for future purchases.

👤I bought this because I read that it could increase the speed of the internet up to 750 Mbps, and that it could increase the speed of the internet up to 100%. The gem on page 7 of the user manual is that data traffic routed through the extender is inherently slower than traffic routed directly from the network. The results of the speed test with internet service. 156M is down and 42M is up. 122M is down and 41M is up. The range extender is close to half the speed. Total waste of money.

👤The ruler does not start at the end. METRIC is not on the ground. The ruler started on the metal end of the picture, because Metric was on the top. The 1/2mm marks make the ruler unreadable. I will be returning the $8 purchase. The Mr. Pen company reached out to me and sent me a new set of rules that are exactly what the picture shows. Mr. Pen sent me a new set of rulers and they did not charge me for fixing the problem. I decided to update this post based on the new ruler set because Mr. Pen asked nothing of me in return for fixing the problem. The markings start at the edge and the metric measurements are on the top. The first 5 centimeters are hard to read with old eyes. The Mr. Pen Company has good customer service.

👤The inches on the bottom and lower side of the rulers are left to right. There are different fractional units of measurement within each inch segment. I had a problem with the 14" ruler, it was cut short and it was off. I contacted the company to let them know that the ruler was off. I was offered a refund and suggested a replacement ruler as the others were fine. The new ruler is accurate and I received a new set. They gave me a refund because of the quick response. Thanks again.

👤Only two rulers were received. Next day, Amazon sent a new set. The new ones were definitely new and the packaging didn't look new. I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of these. Smaller crafting will be easier with the small ones. The holes allow you to hang them out. These are a great value and I recommend them.

👤I have rulers, shapes and templates. A good ruler is hard to come by. I bought another set after liking these so much. These are not end rulers. Markings don't go to the rulers. You can't set the height of a saw unless you take into account the gap. All of them have a conversion table with a fraction to millimetres. The tic-marks are 1/16ts, 1/32ds, and 1/64ths in the ruler's sections. If you want to be more accurate, you can stack one ruler on top of the other, and it will be much more accurate. That is part of why I love this set. They're all the same lengths. The width is the same and easy to stack. I always have access to a bigger scale measurement. The opposite is also true. On the 12 inch ruler, 3-4 is in 64ths and 1-2 is in 32nds. If I want 16ths in that area. Line up the tic-marks with a stacked ruler and I get an accurate measurement. I haven't written about the metric side. I'm starting to use it to set the height and width of the cut. The minority is called SAE. We have access to a lot of different products. Many of them are metric. I've found that a metric setting on my woodworking equipment can be more accurate. There is a The tic-marks on the metric side look really dense. A tenth of a millimeter. You can use the other end or stack the rulers. I will probably never use that end. A magnifying glass is needed. I will use my needle gauge or steel bar set if I need to be accurate.

👤I was hoping that the ruler had the numbers on it. This is a sticker on a piece of paper. The sticker is coming off of the corner after I got it.

👤This ruler was very disappointing. You can't tell from the images, but the ruled markings are printed on a piece of paper/fabric that is then welded to the metal. This is not acceptable for a device used to measure things. Victor, your customers are on to your tricks. Some sales people decided that this would increase profit margins. A more robust and quality-driven design has a % over it.

👤The ruler concept is very imaginative. The marks at 1/16th inch intervals are clearly marked and make it easy to read the measurement. The ruler has a metric which is easy to read. The ruler has standard and metric going the same direction, unlike some rulers that have one direction and the other. You can use either scale and make conversions quickly. I had a lot of hope that the manufacturer would modify the ruler to make it a viable tool. The ruler is not acceptable. The way the ruler is pictured on Amazon is not the way it is actually pictured. You cannot butt the end of the ruler to an item you are measuring. You could always deduct 2mm from your reading. Why should a consumer be made to jump through hoops when the manufacturer failed to think through the process? The build quality is of equal significance. The "overlay" that is attached to the plastic ruler was not stable when I received it. Why didn't they screen print the image on the ruler? My second question would be, why didn't they use a better glue to attach the overlay? Different sellers offer several rulers. I believe I saw one that was made of metal. My ruler was plastic. I can't speak to the quality of other products. I would give this item 5 stars but only for the build quality. It is convenient, innovative and makes measuring much easier. In a world where the maxim is "measure twice and cut once" anything that can aid in accuracy is a God send.

👤The ruler arrived today and it is a sticker that is stuck to a piece of plastic. There are air bubbles in the sticker and it does not lay flat. If I knew it was a sticker, I wouldn't have bought it. It might be worth $1.

👤I would have liked to read the reviews before ordering. The description does not mention the stick on paper label. They tell you it is engraved into the steel. The measurement did not start at the end of the ruler. The measurement was off because of how the label was applied. It is good for someone to learn to read a ruler. Not what I needed or thought I was getting. Do not order anything until you read the reviews.

👤The top surface of the ruler is a thin sheet of glue on a plastic base. The top sheet does not line up with the base and the corners of the sheet extend further than the base which causes the corners to catch on things and lift away. The corners on my house were peeling up before I got the ruler out of the package. I don't think it will stick for very long because the ruler has air pockets in it. You can't measure from the ends of the ruler. There is a couple of millimetres of blank space on each end after the markings stop. It might be better to remove the top-sheet and trim the ends, and use it as a floppy ruler.

👤The rulers work well and get the job done. They're a bit thin, so there is a risk of breaking. My children find them easier to use than wooden rulers, which are too thick for their liking. I'm not happy with the colors. Our children's school supplies are color-coded, and I bought this particular product because the colors shown are the exact colors we assign to each of our children. They are not the colors we received. I can see that the text description of the product does not match the colors we received. Our rulers are green, blue, pink, and purple, so I now have an extra ruler that will get confused with Daddy's, and still have to buy a fifth one. I know most people won't care what colors are in the package, but for those who do, a more reliable image/description would be nice.

👤The rulers look like any of the others. They seem sturdy enough for most tasks, and they will bend a bit, but not break. I like the different colors, but they seem well designed, and I won't be putting mine in ring binders, so I don't need the hole. They all arrive in perfect condition.

👤I own a retractable tape measure and a flexible tape measure that are both useful for small scale measurements, arts and crafts, or simply drawing a straight line of a particular length. I have four rulers that are about a foot in length. I'm using a purple one. I have three spare parts. The corners of mine are made of plastic. My nieces and nephews don't have sharp corners or edges, so I would be willing to let them draw with them.

👤I was looking for a ruler with holes for a 3-ring binder, but they were probably cheaper at back to school shopping. These are not really tough or rigid. My son keeps the ruler in the back pocket of the binder when he needs it because it's hard to move the ruler out of the way when he puts them in a 1" binder. I might have bought a nicer ruler at back-to-school shopping without the holes.

👤If you need certain colors, don't purchase these rulers. The colors in the photo are blue, green, orange, and pink. The colors included are blue, green, orange, and purple. The photo and description don't match, but I only needed blue, green, and orange, so I didn't mind what the fourth color would be. The product I received was blue, green, pink, and purple. I am dissatisfied with the purchase because I needed orange. If the product colors will vary, the description should state that rather than state that the colors are inaccurate.

👤Very low quality rulers. I don't know how it got high ratings. There are many marks on each ruler and they are very flimsy. The price is not worth it. These are not very high quality dollar store items.

👤The scale is off, which is the reason for a 1 star rating. The ruler has shorter inches and millimetres than other rulers and measurement instruments. It's insignificant in many applications but incorrect. They used more precise stencils 100 years ago. The machine that stamps these rulers has a correct length scale but the plastic is hot at the time of making and when it cools down the ruler shrinks a bit. I gave it to my kid for school, and it shouldn't matter.

👤I noticed the lines were disappearing on their own. I don't use this ruler for anything but measuring cotton to cut so why is it fading away? I cleaned it off after touching it with something. When I applied water and a paper towel to it, the numbers began to wash away. I have owned many things, but this is the worst one. Fiskar would make a good ruler, but this one doesn't make the cut.

👤So far, so good. Fiskars is a good product, I read some reviews that stated the numbers came off quickly, but I thought I would give it a try. I have no complaints about this ruler. Embossed lines seem to be of good quality. When we moved, I lost all my sewing supplies. My ruler was a Fiskars. Will update if there are any issues. Fast delivery, well packaged. The layout on the ruler is great and I can see the fabric under it. Overall, very pleased with the purchase.

👤The ruler does not have angle markings, but the photo shows the product's features. I would not use this as my primary ruler. As a secondary ruler, it excelled. I use this to make sure that I'm square to the cutting line or fabric edge that I need, by using it against my OlFA lip ruler on my cutting mat. It is easy to handle because it is lightweight. My strips are perfect every time, as I can use my OlFA to line up the line that I need for precision cutting without turning my fabric.

👤The ruler can't be washed or the printing on the back can't be removed. It won't work for me because I bought it for baking.

👤I'm just starting to purchase my quilter's rulers. I'll be getting a few more in the future, longer ones than this one, and smaller ones like the six inch, since they have improved so much. Fiskars has never let me down, I have their 45mm cutter and it has never failed me. When I saw the dimensions of the ruler I picked up, I needed something more than the 6 x 12 inch ruler I already have. If you're new to quilting and looking for a good ruler, this is the one to get. It's large enough to cut your blocks into strips. I like it.

👤The description and photo don't match. There are no diagonal lines. I deducted a star for the error. I knew what I was getting after reading reviews. It is exactly what I was looking for. I needed a thicker ruler to cut fabric. The thickness is perfect.

👤The lines and numbers are large. It's easy to see that I'm perfectly lined up when I'm in a rush. I have been able to use it in many other ways than just cutting my crafts because it is so thick and well-built. There is an update**. I use this once a week, but the lines are starting to rub off, I haven't had this for a long time. I can't see if my lines are straight, where to cut, it's really disappointing. I was very happy with my purchase after giving it a great review. I am very disappointed in the lack of quality since it is almost useless in a short time.

👤They are in great shape a day after they arrived. Some reviewers were broken, but mine are not. They are easy to see through and are flexible. I ordered two sets since they were so cheap. I got all four of them. I noticed that the inches were shown on the lower half of the ruler and the numbers were right side up when I looked at other rulers on Amazon. If you want to keep the numbers right side up, you have to put the ruler above what you are measuring. The inch numbers are in reverse order if you turn the ruler to measure underneath the item. That's not how rulers in the US are usually described. It's a matter of preference. rulers were labelled that way.

👤These rulers are made to look better than they are. They're thin and don't feel sturdy. Think of poster-board thickness as opposed to foam-board thickness. The plastic was blemished right out of the packaging. The measurements seem to be accurate when compared to other rulers.

👤I was excited to try the pans. I've only used the sheet pan. I made some potato skins. I heard a loud clang while I was baking some fish at 350. The pan is twisted. I'm still within the first 30 days, so I'm debating returning the rest of the set.

👤The second time I used the baking sheet, I removed it from the oven and it immediately warped and bent, sending roasted potatoes and hot oil all over my kitchen. I can't speak for the other items, but I'm not impressed.

👤The baking set is the worst I have ever purchased. The bakery goods are ruined because they tear in chunks, with much or most of the products still stuck to the pan. You can't serve rotten pans or give ruined bakery goods as gifts if you consider the purchase price and the loss of expensive ingredients. I used the bread loaf pan for the first time. I had to soak it for several hours and then change out the fresh soaking water because of the layers of gunk that had stuck and torn when I tried to get it out of the pan. The color of the pans looked stained when baking product had touched them. The pans were ruined the first time they were used, but I did not leave them damp or to air out.

👤6 minutes into heating up a frozen lasagna, it was a loud clang. Cookie sheet buckled and warped. It was good that the lasagna was heavy enough to not fly over my oven. I will return this set.

👤I'm not sure if I just got a bad set or something, but this bakeware stunk up my house. The smell it gives off when put in the oven is horrible. I had to use an air purifier to get rid of the smell. I thought I might need to wash them again before the next use. The stink was still there after being washed twice. I threw them away.

I saw posts of people with rust and metal, and I think they have no idea how to care for their cookware or even how to cook. It is not that difficult to clean and dry your items. Don't cut too hard on the pans, they're not meant for that. These are worth a lot of money. It is a steal. It is worth it to just buy them. 👤I rely on my metal ruler with cork backing to make my drawings. Those in the "art-know" are aware that ink has a purpose to attack and ruin drawings by running under rulers and blobbing. This is called blobbing. The metal ruler with cork backing has always been there for me. Through thick and thin, it was there when I reached for it. Over 50 years is how long it has been. Until the other day. Some of you will understand the panic that ran through my being, even though this may not seem important to most. My friend was gone. I was frozen to the spot. I searched for National Art Supply on Amazon when I realized I had no other choice. Old Blue must have a replacement for those trustworthy art nerds. My new friend arrived within days of my order. I am no longer trembling or twitching because we are still getting to know each other. It is trying to make Old Blue better. I am thinking of calling it "New Blue" because it is doing a good job. I don't want to intimidate New Blue with Old Blue's memories. People are tangled on the web. They are the worst.

👤It was strange to use the ruler at first, but it became more flexible as time went on. The flexibility will be useful for my future applications. I love the cork backing of this ruler. It is thin so it doesn't make the ruler too high, and it keeps it from slipping while I use my knife. I only gave it 3 stars because it was bent in 2 places in the middle. The company needs to figure out a way to ship it more securely.

👤I agree with someone who said it was flimsy. I've had metal rulers of similar quality before, but this one is not as nice. It seems like metal thickness is thin. It will not last. I feel like I could bend it with one wrong move. I wish they didn't have the Precision logo on it because it makes it hard to read the measurement near where the logo is applied on the ruler. Why did they want to add it? Advertising for them provides zero value. The metal ruler I had got ruined in a disaster. I don't recommend this product. I am a professional artist who uses their tools to make a living.

👤I didn't understand the word "flexible" when I read the description of this yard stick as "Breman Precison Metal Ruler 36 inch - STAINLESS STEEL CHEMED Backed Metal Ruler - Premium Straight Edge Metal 36 inch Rulers - Flexible STAINLESS Steel Ruler - I lost my yard stick, which was an excellent straight-edge. If you try to use it to draw a straight line on a vertical service, it bends and flops forward because it is not designed to stay rigid.

👤I never thought I'd be able to do that, but after ordering the 24 inch non slip steel ruler, I am. The staff at National Art threw a party for me. I have something new to measure gratitude. National Art runs 20 feet deep today. I went with the 10 pack.

👤The ruler is the best in the universe. It reminds me of George Jetson's space car. The back of the cork is elegant. You can take it to ball games, restaurants, or walks in the park. You can measure stuff with it.

👤A ruler is a person. Unless someone showed up to work drunk that day, an inch is an inch on any ruler. It's nice to have 15 inches compared to 12. I would rather have 16 inches but that is fine. The cork on the back of the metal doesn't go close enough to the edge so I am giving it a 4 start review. It's great for measuring but not ideal for drawing lines. It is possible to draw a non straight line with a pencil under the metal and in front of the cork if the cork is elevated slightly. Extending the cork all the way on one side would be a nice solution.

👤I bought two of these rulers for an unusual purpose, and they are working perfectly. I need a TV antenna that can receive all of the broadcast channels. Several of the networks are broadcast on their old VHF channels in the Los Angeles basin, which is located within 10 miles of the towers on top of Mount Wilson. Most of the antennas sold today are designed to only receive the UHF channels. The plastic patch with metal foil conductors allows the antenna to be smaller. Despite my high signal strength, they don't pull in the channels that I know. The wavelength for channels 2 through 6 is long, and a useful antenna has to be big enough to capture it, because the classic rooftop TV antenna was huge. At least one element is similar in size to half the wavelength. There are more than one design. The antenna design is black. I'm just dabbling here. The antenna can be a lot smaller if you only worry about channels 7 through 13. After the conversion to digital broadcast, none of the stations that used to be carried in the low VHF band chose to stay there. Only those in the high band remained. I thought it would be possible to make an antenna that would capture the high range and ignore the low. The simplest antenna design to try is a half-wave dipole. The total size of the antenna is half a wavelength long, and it has two identical arms. The high VHF band has a wavelength close to 29 inches. I need two pieces of metal that are shorter than 15 inches. I wanted something a little more finished, so I used a wire coat hanger. A wider bar would make the antenna work better. I discovered that the rulers could be removed from the shelf. They come with a hole drilled in one end. My antenna has two rulers attached to the terminals of a VHF balun, isolating the arms from the shield of the cable that leads to my DVR device. I can tune in to all of the stations using channels 7 through 13, but I also have good reception of the rest of the stations broadcasting on the UHF channels from Mount Wilson.
