It's hard to wash up because it's raw wood, but until it gets seasoned with flour and stuff, it's not a problem. If you put it away wet, it will mold. Let it sit out or hang. That's how wood works. It's not a product. It will keep the metal from getting damaged. The product is really good. No one paid me to do this review. My big one was getting on my nerves so I wanted one of these little rollers.

There is very little waste because I dust with confectioner's to prevent sticking. I used it to dust with cocoa powder. I have a container with a pour spout and holes in it that I can use to sprinkle corn starch or sugar on fondant. I used it to dust Swerve on a stencil over a chocolate cake. It's small enough that you don't have to put too much in a sieve or strainer, having it go all over the place, and then wasting materials. When you empty it out, it washes up nicely.

To fill it, you have to turn the ball at the bottom of the handle. When you dump in some powdered sugar, you have a metal ball full of powered sugar. In this case, you would cut out a heart, place it on your cake, and then shake the powdered sugar over it. You can remove the template and have a heart in the middle of your cake. Cool! 👤It was close to being what I was looking for. It says dishwasher safe, but after a wash both corners rusted. I'm pretty sure water was sucked behind the plastic and sat there for a while. Make sure it's completely dry after it's washed to avoid this.
👤I looked at the pictures and read some of the reviews and thought I would like this. I don't. I'm not buying any more of her products because of this one product. You only have one chance to make a good impression, that's what they say. I think it is sub par in both manufacturing quality and design. I wonder how her other products are. Let me tell you why. The handle is the first thing. You can't clean the closed area inside the curl. Water,bacteria and debris can get inside of it through the edge of the scrape. The opening on both sides was easy to see and let in liquid and juices. I couldn't rinse them out without running a lot of water and hoping for the best. Not good. It was covered in a protective oil. It didn't need it. That was a wasted production step and an extra cost to the company. The only reason a company would add such costs to their product is because they don't want us to find out. My husband is a metallurgist. He says that the only reason to add such a protective oil is so that it won't tarnish during storage and transport. Wow. They are coating it because they know it will show signs of rust. Good quality steel does not need an oil. It won't rust even if it sits on a shelf for a long time. Poor quality does need it. I did a magnet test on it, even though I did not show it on the video. The steel is less apt to rust because it contains more nickel. The lower percentage of nickel is the reason for poor quality STAINLESS STEEL. Steel and nickel do not rust. Steel and nickel are not magnetic. The bench was very strong. There is proof of why they oiled it. The manufacturing standards were not very good. There are too many marks on the metal. If it was better sealed, the area inside should never have been created. The leading edge was nice, but they all have that no matter what. The sides are more of a stunt than a real help. I didn't notice anything falling off the front of the scraper, so the sides would behave the same. Since the railings get in the way, you can't use them to cut dough. I will give it that it is in a drawer. It's easier to store. It's easier than one that doesn't. Half the height of the unit, about 12” worth of easier. Big whoopee. Just another thing. 2 stars mean that I don't like it, while 1 stars mean that I hate it. I really don't like it, but I don't hate it. I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because I round it up for half stars. Sides are nice for holding food in, but I don't really know how much they help. How long are you going to be holding it for? It's nice to get food out of the Beveled edge. It is easy to store in a drawer. You cannot clean and dry the area inside the grip because it attracts and holds water. The color in the picture was not as it should be. There are marks on the back of a machine. They were worried about the quality of the STAINLESS before the customer's receipt, so they didn't oiled it. The side pieces make it impossible to cut dough. If you want to improve, you can either open the side ends of the curled handle area for cleaning or make a better seal. Use a better grade. Improve the quality of manufacturing. Would I buy again? There is a No. I am returning it because of how it harbors water and debris inside the handle which is perfect for unsanitary growth ofbacteria. It is prone to rusting. It is more of a novelty than a useful thing. I hope I have helped you make a decision about this bench. 👤This is a handy tool that does what it says it will do. A lot of thought went into it's design, as it has a lot of information that may be helpful to the novice home chef. The metal isn't easy to bend. The first ruler I received from Amazon was wiped off by the ink. I tried to measure it, but it was gradually getting onto food. I was told by Mercer that the ink was food safe and was coming off because one of the rulers didn't get baked at a high enough temperature to make the ink stick. See the photos. They gave me a new ruler and a knife. The company should have contacted the customers who purchased the product through Amazon and issued a recall instead of waiting for them to contact them, because I believe they should have done that. The company that sells them is also the company that makes them, and that kind of vertical integration produces more profits, but also makes it easier to issue a recall because Amazon could help them. If anyone else has this issue, I suggest they contact Mercer.

I am not much of a measurer, but if you are, it has a yardstick etched into the side. The spikes on the end are great for pizza, I don't understand the science but it works better when I use it. I didn't know what it was until I picked up a pizza and watched them do the same thing. It makes a difference. This tool is easy to clean, it can be thrown in the dishwasher.
👤This is great! I used to have a wooden roller that was hard to clean. I had to use a knife to remove the flour from the surface because it got stuck on it. You can't put wooden tools in the dishwasher. This is a rolling pin that is more sanitary. It looks more modern than traditional wooden rollers. I can either put it in the dishwasher or soak it in water. It's not too heavy, but also has a weight to it so it's sturdy. The meat beater is a plus. I can use it to tenderize stake and many other foods.
👤I ordered rolling pins for evaluation. I liked the pin design. They feel light and packaged well. The rolling pins need some work. 1. The measurement marks are not correct. See the photo. When the marks show 4 and 6 inches, it's time for the measurement to be done. 2. It is on the small side. It's about an inch in diameter. It would be better if it was 1.5 inch in diameter. 3. Even though the rolling pin is inside the sealed plastic, it still smelled like cutting fluid out of the paper package. I have another 18 inch polished French rolling pin that doesn't smell like that. I returned the pins. Even if they are a few dollars more, I will keep looking for better ones.

Dough was in the fridge for 45 minutes, so what, that is a normal use, when I peeled back the roller cover I couldn't believe my eyes. I couldn't believe it was so cheap. It broke. I was blown off by the sorry check policy of Amazon. There is no return on this item. I had a phone call from customer service land the next day and they issued a refund, which was the right thing. The performance was great, even though the crust did stick a little, compared to other products I've used, like a maple rolling pin and a parchment paper rolling surface. I brushed on the very thin layer of flour and everything worked out.
