NerdChef Speed Steel Performance Built

Before cleaning, please remove any excess food with a spatula. The pizza stone should be run under warm water and scrubbed with a brush. Do not use soap or detergent on a stone, it will leave a soapy aftertaste. Ceramic baking stones have a higher conductivity. Faster cook times, and gorgeous crusts. The side fins have better thermal distribution than flat baking steels. It holds a lot of thermal energy. The underside side has handles that make it easy to move. The backstop was added to keep pizza from sliding off the back. 3D cast steel is guaranteed for life. It was seasoned with organic flaxseed oil. It should be like cast iron.

Brand: Nerd Chef

👤I've never seen a pizza stone bake a pizza with a brown crust and cheese in less time. I'll get a pizza peel if it stays in my oven because it's way heavier than the stoneware one. It is worth it to not have to replace another broken pizza stone. The description says it's cast steel, but it looks like cast iron to me. I was happy with the price.

👤I have a Pizzacraft ThermaBond and wanted to compare it to a steel stone, the price of the NerdChef was reasonable, so I decided to give it a try. I put the pizza on the 2nd rack from the top, and it came out ok, even though I heated the oven to 525 for about an hour. The Pizzacraft seems to cook better than the NerdChef. It's easy to clean and it has that going for it. I'll try to do more pizzas with it and see if it works better lower. I'm not very impressed with it. Most pizza stones are used in the oven.

👤It was bought to replace the pizza stone that shattered. It's the perfect size for my camper oven. I keep it in there to help with the heat in the oven. When baking sweets the bottom would get burnt by the time the top was done, this has helped even things out. It is great for pizzas. A good pizza peel and a recipe are almost impossible to make.

👤I was hesitant to invest in cast iron but if you make pizza frequently I would recommend it. It's not much money considering that this thing seems to be very strong. I have made about six pizzas with it. You need to peel the pizza to use it. There's a bit of technique to it. You may need to experiment to get the pizza you want. The bottom of my first pizza cooked more than the top. I found the instructions to be very helpful, and I was able to switch to the broiler for a minute or two at the end. I put the pizza steel on the 2nd rack and let it cook until it's mostly done, then switch to broil to finish off the top. Came out good.

👤This is an exceptional product so don't write many reviews. My pizza game changed because of it. It was much hotter than my pizza stone. I get the same wood fire / gas oven heat from my home as well as my pizza. The price under $60 is a very nice price.

👤This was amazing. I have been making pizzas at home since 1972, when I first started working in a pizzaria. This is the first time that I have been able to make a real pizza with the same texture as a real pizza oven. I used to have pizza stones that didn't do what a real pizza oven can to the crust, but I have changed that. In 10 minutes, I was able to make the best pizza crust I have ever made in a home oven, easily beating out a stone floor commercial pizza oven. It was much better than a pizza stone and should last forever.

2. Officemate Classic Stainless Measurements 66612

Officemate Classic Stainless Measurements 66612

The hang hole is ideal for convenience storage. It's perfect for home, school or office. The measure is Inches and metric. The backing of the cork prevents slippage. Flexible steel.

Brand: Officemate

👤The ruler is the best in the universe. It reminds me of George Jetson's space car. The back of the cork is elegant. You can take it to ball games, restaurants, or walks in the park. You can measure stuff with it.

👤A ruler is a person. Unless someone showed up to work drunk that day, an inch is an inch on any ruler. It's nice to have 15 inches compared to 12. I would rather have 16 inches but that is fine. The cork on the back of the metal doesn't go close enough to the edge so I am giving it a 4 start review. It's great for measuring but not ideal for drawing lines. It is possible to draw a non straight line with a pencil under the metal and in front of the cork if the cork is elevated slightly. Extending the cork all the way on one side would be a nice solution.

👤I bought two of these rulers for an unusual purpose, and they are working perfectly. I need a TV antenna that can receive all of the broadcast channels. Several of the networks are broadcast on their old VHF channels in the Los Angeles basin, which is located within 10 miles of the towers on top of Mount Wilson. Most of the antennas sold today are designed to only receive the UHF channels. The plastic patch with metal foil conductors allows the antenna to be smaller. Despite my high signal strength, they don't pull in the channels that I know. The wavelength for channels 2 through 6 is long, and a useful antenna has to be big enough to capture it, because the classic rooftop TV antenna was huge. At least one element is similar in size to half the wavelength. There are more than one design. The antenna design is black. I'm just dabbling here. The antenna can be a lot smaller if you only worry about channels 7 through 13. After the conversion to digital broadcast, none of the stations that used to be carried in the low VHF band chose to stay there. Only those in the high band remained. I thought it would be possible to make an antenna that would capture the high range and ignore the low. The simplest antenna design to try is a half-wave dipole. The total size of the antenna is half a wavelength long, and it has two identical arms. The high VHF band has a wavelength close to 29 inches. I need two pieces of metal that are shorter than 15 inches. I wanted something a little more finished, so I used a wire coat hanger. A wider bar would make the antenna work better. I discovered that the rulers could be removed from the shelf. They come with a hole drilled in one end. My antenna has two rulers attached to the terminals of a VHF balun, isolating the arms from the shield of the cable that leads to my DVR device. I can tune in to all of the stations using channels 7 through 13, but I also have good reception of the rest of the stations broadcasting on the UHF channels from Mount Wilson.

3. EBoot Stainless Machinist Engineering Architect

EBoot Stainless Machinist Engineering Architect

Pocket clips can be used as a measure marker. Double-face graduation. Graduation on each side is very precise; 1/ 64 inches and 1/ 32 inches on one side and 1/ 16 inches and 1/ 8 inches on the other side. The ruler is durable and can be used for up to 6 inches. Clear marks provide accurate measurement because they are engraved onto the ruler. The ruler is good for drawing straight edge or measuring device and is useful for office, school, drawing, engineering and other tasks. Warm notice, the ruler has squared off angles, please pay attention to it, children use under adult supervision.

Brand: Eboot

👤These were not accurate. The rulers I received had the ends off. One by a wide margin. That's bad for an engineer ruler. I've used off brand rulers in the past and they seemed to last longer if there wasn't much depth to the engraving. At least a usable ruler was what I was expecting. One side will measure differently if the ends are not square. I could have ground them square enough for my use if they were left too long, but the really bad end on the one was nearly 64th short. They're going back.

👤I lost my first ruler for 3 years in the bottom of the chip and coolent bin of a saw, but I was able to find it after work. I used it for both welding and milling. I had to buy another one. I felt naked without it, I would reach for it when I needed it, and I was sad when it wasn't their. I got the two pack because I had to buy more. They are very good quality, thick and sturdy, and have some really good lettering. I had my first one in 3 years and I didn't notice any fading. I used that thing to line up two pieces of metal. I had to use a grinder to clean off the bur from the welder when I accidentally tacked it to the part I was welding. I dropped it on the ground and it never broke. It is small enough to fit in my left pocket where I keep my pens and scrawls. On the back it has 1/32nd and 1/64ths, and on the front it has 1/16th and 1/6ths. It is easy to read. I had to use a flashlight to get the exact mesurment for the 64ths but who hasn't seen them together? I would recommend this ruler to anyone. My instructor and 4 kids in my class bought some after seeing mine. 10/10 would buy again.

👤I am not sure what I was expecting, but it is actually a type of steel called STAINLESS STEEL. It's funny. I got this Reuter for my middle schooler, who is a mature one, and I don't have to worry about him praying cops and robbers with it, I definitely wouldn't get this for a kid. The ruler is easy to read. Don't like me and ignore the fact that it's a STAINLESS STEEL ruler.

👤If you've used a metal ruler, you know how useful it is. You want a sharp edge for your pen, but this could be a weapon. This ruler is an adults-only ruler. There is something disturbing about a ruler that uses the edge as the 12-inch mark, but not the actual "12" printed on it. I know that sounds insignificant, but you will notice and miss the 12.

👤It is close to ok on a measuring scale. Nothing can be done about the thinness of the material used to make these scales. These would be great for teaching students how to use a scale, but they are not good enough. Our Machinists keep these around so they don't lose anything if they are stolen. It was made in China.

Brand: Zulay Kitchen

👤I received a bench scraper for my bread baking hobby. I am very happy. It is made with nice markings and a nice edge. Zulay Kitchen's story was on the box and I was happy to read it. The company is named after the founder's mother, who was known as a super-hero because she found time to cook healthy meals while working extra-long hours and raising two sons on her own. Zulay Kitchen's mission makes me want to purchase more items, which is exactly what the company does. I will be looking for their products when I need them. There are more kitchen tools.

👤It works well as a food scoop. I thought the edge could use a bit of dressing and dinged it one star. I put it on a very fine diamond stone to clean the edge and it won't scratch the surface polish. It took 3 minutes work and now it is 5 stars.

👤I use this chopper to cut through bread dough when making braids because I can't use a regular knife on my mat. It cuts the dough in a straight line. I like the ruler on the side because it allows me to evenly space my cuts. It is very strong to help lift and transfer soft dough rolls onto the baking sheet.

👤This useful kitchen tool is interesting. The insert tells the story of the female founder of the product. The tool is the best I have seen. The scraper is sharp enough to chop food. Also can be re-sharpened to the desired level. The handle is strong. The inch measuring guide can be used for cookies and meatballs. What can this thing do for you? It will transfer cut, chopped, splayed, and Flawed items from a cutting board to a pan or pot without spilling. It's 20 times safer to balance the stuff on the edge of a knife. After using it first, a sponge will make it easy to clean up remaining remnants. I am looking for more well-built items from this company.

👤I bought this because I needed something to cut the dough with and also scoop it up, because I have recently tried making scones. It works well. I chose this brand because of the reviews, and I feel like I made a good choice. This is essential to my scone making and will last me a long time. It washes up well. I hand wash it. If you need one of these for your kitchen, you'll be happy with this brand.

👤Was not expecting it to be as large as it is. It is comfortable to work with and has a great feel to it. The blade is thick enough to manipulate even stiff dough and has a slightly beveled edge. The handle is made from high quality materials. A small tool.

👤The Zulay Bench Scrapper is very sturdy with an easy to hold handle, and it is easy to wash. I put it in the dishwasher. I chop a lot of garlic, mushrooms, onions, and herbs every day, so I will need it in the future. I recommend this product for its excellent handle design, which allows a firm grip, and it's very well made.

5. Dough Scraper Chopper Multi Purpose

Dough Scraper Chopper Multi Purpose

The transfer peel will help you to transfer your shaped dough easily. Simply return it for a full refund if you feel it fell short of your expectations. The bread dough cutter is a must-have kitchen tool. You can use it to portion doughs, slice vegetables, and more. Super sharp. The bench knife is sharper than your average pastry scraper. It's a great kitchen scraper for getting a sharp edge on your frosting. Safe storage. The dough cutter and scraper has a protective cover to prevent it from being sharp. The dough knife is built to last and is heavy-duty. It's dishwasher-safe and has a rubber handle for good grip. Customer happiness. No kitchen should be without a food scraper tool. Their team will be happy to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

Brand: Checkered Chef

👤This has been a great purchase. The counter has a nice mat that stays in place while you use it. I like how thin it is. The pastry cutter is very heavy. I finally purchased both of these products. The mat is dishwasher safe. It is recommended to wash the pastry cutter.

👤It is not essential for most home kitchens, but it is useful to have around. Finally broke down and got one. This feels solid and comforting. It works well for preparing dough for pretzels.

👤It is easier to measure dough than it is to eyeball it, because it has both sides of the measurement along one side. I don't have to worry that I'll lose a finger, and I appreciate the edge guard for storage, because the cutting edge makes a cleaner cut.

👤Heavy duty scraper. The scraper is about an inch thick and will not bend. It's heavy enough to chop. The ruler is on the chopping edge. The rounded handle is slip resistant and is comfortable to hold. The hanging hole and blade cover are nice touches. Recommended.

👤I decided to get the set as it was well-priced, even though I originally wanted a dough scraper. I'm glad I got the mat. I use it all the time. It's easy to clean and it stays in place. The dough scraper works well, it is a great set.

👤The dough mat has less storage space than other items. If you bake with others, you can bring it with you. It grips the wood or granite. The dough cutter is amazing. It cuts better than a plastic dough cutter.

👤It is easy to use when cutting dough. It comes with a protective cover. It's in a drawer.

👤The scraper on the mat would probably cut through it.

👤The scraper is clean. I think it will last a long time. The mat doesn't stay on my bench. I am trying to use it to make bread, but the mat is moving. Buy the scraper on its own and save some money.

👤My daughter is a chef and uses this item at work. She said that it was as good a quality as the one she had been using at work. She uses another tool to add to her colliction.

👤I tend to make a lot of mess when cooking and I always wanted a bench scraper. I know it's mostly for pastries/bread making. I enjoy using it when cleaning up after chopping veggies. Its great!

👤I love it! I rolled my pizza dough the other day. It is non slippery and non stick. Exactly what I'm looking for. It's easy to wash and store. 100% recommended. Thanks.

👤It is quite sharp, so I have not used it on my countertop for fear of it scratching it. I only use it on my chopping block. But works well.

6. Mr Stainless Centimeters Drawing Measuring

Mr Stainless Centimeters Drawing Measuring

The thickness of the edges should not be sharp. The set has 4 different sizes of steel rulers. It's made from 1/32 inch. It's a thick steel. It was inch. The cm measurement was etched with marking up to 1/64 inch and 1/20 centimeter. The back of the rulers have a conversion table. Accurate Markings are perfect for schools, offices, home schools, architects and engineers.

Brand: Mr. Pen

👤The ruler does not start at the end. METRIC is not on the ground. The ruler started on the metal end of the picture, because Metric was on the top. The 1/2mm marks make the ruler unreadable. I will be returning the $8 purchase. The Mr. Pen company reached out to me and sent me a new set of rules that are exactly what the picture shows. Mr. Pen sent me a new set of rulers and they did not charge me for fixing the problem. I decided to update this post based on the new ruler set because Mr. Pen asked nothing of me in return for fixing the problem. The markings start at the edge and the metric measurements are on the top. The first 5 centimeters are hard to read with old eyes. The Mr. Pen Company has good customer service.

👤The inches on the bottom and lower side of the rulers are left to right. There are different fractional units of measurement within each inch segment. I had a problem with the 14" ruler, it was cut short and it was off. I contacted the company to let them know that the ruler was off. I was offered a refund and suggested a replacement ruler as the others were fine. The new ruler is accurate and I received a new set. They gave me a refund because of the quick response. Thanks again.

👤Only two rulers were received. Next day, Amazon sent a new set. The new ones were definitely new and the packaging didn't look new. I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of these. Smaller crafting will be easier with the small ones. The holes allow you to hang them out. These are a great value and I recommend them.

👤I have rulers, shapes and templates. A good ruler is hard to come by. I bought another set after liking these so much. These are not end rulers. Markings don't go to the rulers. You can't set the height of a saw unless you take into account the gap. All of them have a conversion table with a fraction to millimetres. The tic-marks are 1/16ts, 1/32ds, and 1/64ths in the ruler's sections. If you want to be more accurate, you can stack one ruler on top of the other, and it will be much more accurate. That is part of why I love this set. They're all the same lengths. The width is the same and easy to stack. I always have access to a bigger scale measurement. The opposite is also true. On the 12 inch ruler, 3-4 is in 64ths and 1-2 is in 32nds. If I want 16ths in that area. Line up the tic-marks with a stacked ruler and I get an accurate measurement. I haven't written about the metric side. I'm starting to use it to set the height and width of the cut. The minority is called SAE. We have access to a lot of different products. Many of them are metric. I've found that a metric setting on my woodworking equipment can be more accurate. There is a The tic-marks on the metric side look really dense. A tenth of a millimeter. You can use the other end or stack the rulers. I will probably never use that end. A magnifying glass is needed. I will use my needle gauge or steel bar set if I need to be accurate.

7. Norpro Stainless Steel Scraper Chopper

Norpro Stainless Steel Scraper Chopper

Kitchen utensil gift ideas for bakers are made for a lifetime. A great kitchen tool that can be used many different ways. It can also be used for crushing, chopping, and measuring. The scraper is the ideal tool to chop and divide cookie dough and pastry dough for rolls and loaves. It's also ideal for cinnamon rolls, brownies, rice crispy treats, dessert bars and more. You can easily measure and cut pasta and pastry dough with the aid of the measuring guide on the blade. It's handy for removing flour from your work surface or for whisking up ingredients. The blade was constructed with steel. The handle is comfortable and easy to grip.

Brand: Norpro

👤The numbers and markings are stuck on this, not etched, and they came into my dough while I was using it to portion it. It has not been put in the dishwasher. I would recommend getting one with etched markings.

👤I bought this 5 years ago. I think I don't own a scraper with inches on it. After a short time, the brand name and inch markings disappear. Otherwise, sturdy and functional, will last forever!

👤This is an essential tool for bread-making. It's great for getting dough from different surfaces. It's useful when working with sticky no-knead recipes. It's great for moving bits around. It's easy to wash when it gets sticky. If you are using it right, it will get sticky. I don't like that this is being billed as a chopper. Knives are used for chopping. It doesn't come sharp, and sharpening it with stone would make it hard to use as a scraper. I don't think it would hold an edge because it's not made from cutlery steel. You could force the blade though some vegetables, but you could also use a spatula to cut them. If you want a chopper with this shape, you should get an ulu. You can learn to use your chef knife. The scraper should not be labeled a chopper.

👤If you cook, you should use a cutting board. It's much easier to transfer the bits from the cutting board to the flat-edge tool. It's much better to use a spatula, knife, or lift and tip the cutting board than it is to try and get everything in the pan. It's part of my kitchen tool set.

👤I finally bought a bench scraper after trying to limit the number of kitchen gadgets I buy. I didn't realize how much I could do with this until I bought it. It's a must-have for someone who is baking bread as it allows them to cut the dough into smaller pieces. I use it to clean up my workspace. I put this bench scraper in the dishwasher and it worked out well.

👤The product seems sturdy and what I expected it to be, but there are two details that I don't like. The number five on the measurement area is wearing off, and was that way straight out of the packaging as I only received it yesterday? There's itty bitty pitting across the entire scraper. I've included pictures with my review so you can see what I'm talking about, if the pitting would affect what you're planning on using this scraper for. I use this for smoothing the sides of my cakes. I'm pretty sure this won't result in smooth sides for me. If you're using it as a chopper or scraper and only the blade area of the chopper is used, it seems sturdy and would chop well. It would depend on the use it is intended for but I don't think pitting metal is a good idea.

👤I'm very happy I bought this. It helps if I can get food from my chopping board before I transfer it to the bowl. The price was great and it was sturdy. It makes you feel more organized when you're trying to throw a dinner party. If you don't want to hand-wash it, you can put it in the dishwasher.

8. Helix Flexible Stainless Steel 13012

Helix Flexible Stainless Steel 13012

The set of rulers is ideal for precision measuring. The metric system has units. Flexible. The backing is non-skid. The graduations were stamped in Inches and meters. The backing on the ruler prevents it from slipping. The rulers are great for art and school. It is made of steel.

Brand: Maped Helix Usa

👤I was not sure what to expect when I ordered a ruler. This ruler is very different from the wooden one I had as a child. Would it be straight? The instructions would be in English. What if a ruler didn't work the same way? I was happy to know that the ruler is the same as the wooden one. If you haven't used an updated ruler in 30 years, give this one a try. It is easy to use, it helps you draw straight lines, and it measures correctly. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. Unless you were expecting a ruler of 12 inches. You will be disappointed. This is not a 12-inch ruler.

👤I chose the 6 inch Helix Ruler because it has a cork board underside that is non-scratching and non-slipping. I wanted a straight edge of this size that would fit on the glass surface of my flatbed scanner. Even though my scanning software has an angle "skew" feature, I want to keep the images as straight as possible. The edges of the housing of the scanning device can sometimes cut off the sides of the image by 1/16 to 1/6 inch, so I use the Helix ruler to keep the images straight. The quality of the ruler is decent. It's strong enough that it's not a deal breaker for me, even though there is a slight bend to it. The metal face of the ruler is etched into the metal itself so that it won't fade over time as other reviewers have mentioned. The price point is agreeable. There were no complaints overall. Tools do the job in an excellent fashion. RECOMMENDED!

👤It was rather well made. There were no marks, scratches, or sharp edges. It is engraved into it, which is great. The beginning and end of the ruler are not the starting and ending points of marking. Unmarked spaces exist. It is thin and flexible, but it is better than having it be thick and heavy. The cork backing is not flush with the edges of the ruler, so when placing it to draw a line, the actual ruler part is elevated slightly. The cork backing needs to be protected. I am not sure how long the cork backing will last. I'll take it off if it doesn't hold up. The ruler should live a long time. It has a plastic sleeve to protect it from scratches.

👤This is a great ruler. It's in my notebook. The cork is on the back. It was a pleasant surprise because I missed it when I ordered it. I can't master my bullet journal on my own now that it looks nicer with straight lines.

👤We couldn't find a ruler of 15 cm in our area, so this was the next best thing. The price was very cheap. We received a green one. It is easy to see. The area that was covered by the label was scratched. The label was easy to remove. If my son loses it, it's not a big deal. I wish the ruler was wrapped in something that wouldn't scratch it. I don't know how long the black numbers will last. This will work until I find a better product. The ruler is not very strong. I lowered it to 2 stars because it cracked and chipped.

9. SE 925PSR 2 2 Piece Stainless Detachable

SE 925PSR 2 2 Piece Stainless Detachable

Accurate Markings are perfect for schools, offices, home schools, architects and engineers. The metric ruler and the SAE ruler are used. The size is 6 x 0.5" with a 1/64” resolution. The measurement is 150mm x 12mm with a resolution of 0.25mm. The conversion table is on the reverse side. Pocket clips can be used as a measure marker. Pocket clips can be used as a measure marker.

Brand: Se

👤This is a ruler. The pocket clip on this type of ruler is needed for accurate measurement. The ruler has a clip on it. It looks like someone bent it to fit the pliers. The ruler should be 90 degrees from the depth gauge. On this one, it flops around 20 degrees. I bought a similar ruler from a different vendor. The Johnson isn't perfect but it is better than this one. The ruler is twice as thick on the Johnson, the clip slides better, and it stays closer to 90 degrees. This is a cheap imitation of a real thing. If you only need a basic flat ruler, the measurement stamps are accurate.

👤I received a ruler from my Dad when I was in high school. He was a draftsman and always had rulers, templates, etc around the house while I was growing up. It was lost after I moved from Europe. I've been searching for a replacement for over a dozen years and haven't found one that was as useful as the one he gave me. This item is not a replacement. The rulers are thin and flexible, and that was the first thing I noticed. It's hard to pick up from a flat surface. It would probably take a bit of force to bend it permanently, but I have noticed that it springs when I place it on a flat surface. The pocket clip is worthless. My original clip was nearly impossible to slide up and down. When I moved it, I didn't feel any clicks on the ruler. The clip might fall off as it slides up and down the scale. I'm guessing there are a lot of older drafters who remember the days when they used to carry rulers because they wanted them to have the same quality as they remembered.

👤The edges are still sharp from minimal deburring. One of my older rulers does not slide easily because the slider prongs are bent in place. I'll have to bend over to attach correctly. The ruler is only marked off on the edges. There is a section in the middle marked off in 1/64". There are only two numerical markings along the rule, 10mm marks on the metric rule and whole inch marks on the SAE rule. The rulers are attracted to magnets. The evaluation was done by a professional engineer.

👤I didn't expect it to be so flimsy that it's useless. The purpose of the sliders is to mark and hold a measurement. The rule and it will bend in your shirt pocket.

👤These are the right tools for setting up my guitars. The measurement begins at the end of the ruler. It's so much easier to see the underside of the strings when you slide the flat side of the clip down to the measurement you want. They come in a flexible plastic case that is perfect for hanging them on a pegboard. It was perfect. Well done.

👤The item was purchased to measure the distance between the cam on my truck and the phasers. It's easy to read and accurate, but it's hard to position and move the slider as it catches and canters side to side. It did what I needed it to do and went into the tool chest.

10. Ruler Inch Gloss Stainless Steel

Ruler Inch Gloss Stainless Steel

The blade was constructed with steel. The handle is comfortable and easy to grip. China is a country of manufacture. The package has dimensions of 18 L x 18 W x 21 H.

Brand: Victor

👤I was hoping that the ruler had the numbers on it. This is a sticker on a piece of paper. The sticker is coming off of the corner after I got it.

👤This ruler was very disappointing. You can't tell from the images, but the ruled markings are printed on a piece of paper/fabric that is then welded to the metal. This is not acceptable for a device used to measure things. Victor, your customers are on to your tricks. Some sales people decided that this would increase profit margins. A more robust and quality-driven design has a % over it.

👤The ruler concept is very imaginative. The marks at 1/16th inch intervals are clearly marked and make it easy to read the measurement. The ruler has a metric which is easy to read. The ruler has standard and metric going the same direction, unlike some rulers that have one direction and the other. You can use either scale and make conversions quickly. I had a lot of hope that the manufacturer would modify the ruler to make it a viable tool. The ruler is not acceptable. The way the ruler is pictured on Amazon is not the way it is actually pictured. You cannot butt the end of the ruler to an item you are measuring. You could always deduct 2mm from your reading. Why should a consumer be made to jump through hoops when the manufacturer failed to think through the process? The build quality is of equal significance. The "overlay" that is attached to the plastic ruler was not stable when I received it. Why didn't they screen print the image on the ruler? My second question would be, why didn't they use a better glue to attach the overlay? Different sellers offer several rulers. I believe I saw one that was made of metal. My ruler was plastic. I can't speak to the quality of other products. I would give this item 5 stars but only for the build quality. It is convenient, innovative and makes measuring much easier. In a world where the maxim is "measure twice and cut once" anything that can aid in accuracy is a God send.

👤The ruler arrived today and it is a sticker that is stuck to a piece of plastic. There are air bubbles in the sticker and it does not lay flat. If I knew it was a sticker, I wouldn't have bought it. It might be worth $1.

👤I would have liked to read the reviews before ordering. The description does not mention the stick on paper label. They tell you it is engraved into the steel. The measurement did not start at the end of the ruler. The measurement was off because of how the label was applied. It is good for someone to learn to read a ruler. Not what I needed or thought I was getting. Do not order anything until you read the reviews.

👤The top surface of the ruler is a thin sheet of glue on a plastic base. The top sheet does not line up with the base and the corners of the sheet extend further than the base which causes the corners to catch on things and lift away. The corners on my house were peeling up before I got the ruler out of the package. I don't think it will stick for very long because the ruler has air pockets in it. You can't measure from the ends of the ruler. There is a couple of millimetres of blank space on each end after the markings stop. It might be better to remove the top-sheet and trim the ends, and use it as a floppy ruler.

Mitutoyo 182 105 Chrome Tempered Stainless

The steel is a kind ofstainless steel. It's easy to see graduations.

Brand: Mitutoyo

👤Needed a very accurate ruler, after checking reviews on the popular 3 Starrett, Mitutoya and PEC - got very confused and bought all 3. See the picture. I like Mitutoya. There are very clean markings and text. The picture doesn't reflect its light well. When normal to the eyes, it is very clean and bright. It was well constructed. It is well balanced. The price was half. Starrett is also very good. I don't like their text style. You can't go wrong with Starrett. I didn't care for the PEC. Not the same class as the other two.

👤These scales are very large. They look great and are easy to read. A nice print on them. They don't have any dangerous edges and feel good in the hand. The picture shows the metric side with two lines of text, one on each side, and a blank space in the middle. This is incorrect. The scales I received were a single large line of text. They are the correct model and everything else is correct, but the metric side is different. I ordered 3 of them specifically for this reason. I need a blank space in the middle. I'm still giving 4 stars because most people don't care about that and these scales are great. It's still very annoying.

👤That was too easy. I laugh every time someone writes that in a review. It seems that reading dimensions is difficult. Maybe they need one of these! It is called Mitutoyo. Excellent quality. I worked for 35 years in a machine shop. Starrett, Browne and Sharpe are some of the Swiss makers. This is a small scale. It is marked well for easy reading. This model is not made in the USA despite the picture. It was made in Japan. Excellent quality. Highly recommended. Thank you for reading.

👤My Starrett 6 inch is better than this rule. Here is the reason. The Starrett rule has a less glossy chrome surface that can be viewed at nearly any angle. The lines on the Starrett are easier to read because of the longer lines on the scales. The numbers are larger and the lines are deeper. There are examples in my pictures. I purchased this one because Starrett doesn't make metric rules. The Mitutoyo is a great value, it is easy to mark on with a pencil, and it is durable. Most probably don't notice but Starrett is clearly the winner here. If you're doing any measuring in the 64ths, you'll get the Starrett.

👤First purchase of a product. I'm starting to get into metalmachining as a hobby. I will be buying more products manufactured by them if the quality of this rule is indicative of their quality. It is slightly thicker than I would prefer. It doesn't really bend for all intents and purposes. It will, but with enough force to make you worry that you're going to overcome the steel's elasticity. The finish is good and the markings are easy to read. This is a five-star product, especially for the price. If you need a six-inch rule with both metric and US markings, you'll be happy with this.
