Best Baking Sheets for Oven Silicone

👤I'm pretty sure this doesn't make it un-useable, but the video shows it in a long tube. The mat was larger than the box it was in. The mat has a permanent crease down the middle, as well as some rippling, because it was folded in fourths. I rolled it up after removing it from the box and hoping the creases would come out. It was rolled for a couple of weeks after purchase and I have never used it. The photos show that it is still creased and rippled. The package says it should not be stored in a flat fashion. Why did it fold up in fourths?

👤I don't like having to deal with the mess of flour when making dough. I was excited when I read that even the stickiest dough would be easy to remove. I wanted that to be true but it wasn't. The first time I used the mat, I had to remove the pastry crust because it stuck so badly. The only way to get the cookie dough to come off was to put a lot of flour on the mat. The mat doesn't slip and it washes up great, that's the only positive thing I can say. I'm going back to using a pastry cloth if I have to use flour to roll out dough.

👤The plastic pie mat broke recently. This was purchased as a replacement. It's easier to use and it doesn't stick to it. I've already made pizza crusts, bread, and 2 apple pies using this mat. I like the size of the guides. It's not like my old mat. I'm still figuring out the most efficient way to clean it, and I think wiping it off with some soapy water and then rinsing it with a sponge or cloth is the easiest way to do it. The other way is to put it in the sink and roll it with a towel. It has a band to hold it closed if you lose it, and it rolls up for storage. I put some flour on it when I roll a stickier dough, but have no problems sticking it. I love it!

👤Heavy weight with markings in inches. I keep mine rolled with a liner and a band. I can prevent slippage by wiping my table with a damp cloth before I roll the mat. I only use this for rolling dough, not as a baking sheet liner. It is a nice large surface for working dough. The surface can be cleaned with a pastry scrapper. It is dishwasher safe, but I don't know how it would work in a dishwasher. I put mine in a sink of hot soapy water, drape it over a strainer, and then wipe it off with a towel.

👤These pans are great. I have baked pies, brownies, cookies with no issues with sticking. They slid off with ease. We were out of foil when we baked the chicken. The burned on sauce is wiped away with lots of soaking and scrubbing. These pans are great. It was worth it.

The cupcake tray had the same thing happen. Most people buying these want them to look nice, or they'd of got plain colored ones, so do not sit in the sink for an hour because it will rust quickly.

It means that the cooking is not good non-stick and that the chips are more likely to be stained. So disappointing. I guess you get what you pay for.

I have used 5 of these pans, and every single thing baked in them has turned black on the bottom, despite being cooked perfectly and the pans being well buttered. I bought this because the reviews are so good. This is the reason we can't have nice things.

👤There are dents in every pan. Not one of them is missing something. They're not so small that they can't be used. The coloring is similar to spray paint. There are places where it could have taken another layer. They are stronger than aluminum. It was easy for them to be damaged. My kitchen theme is teal and it's cute. I'm not sure how long it will last. I will try to remember to do an update. If you are a serious Baker and bake all the time, this will piss you off. I never baked. This is adorable. My husband is a baker and he has good products, but they are not this color. I will show this to him. I use an easy off oven cleaner to get my pans and puts back to looking new after they get stained. These have brown stains, I forgot they were only for show. The stains can't be washed off. I will try to be easy off when they are unbearable.

👤The product is very flimsy and has a light coating. Several of the handles were only partially attached, and had to be clipped back in place. The cookie sheet rusted when washed. I received them on Thursday. This Saturday is the same week. I clean the cookware first and it hasn't been used. I am very disappointed.

I can live with a slight curve on the edges of the long side because the large rectangular mats do not lay completely flat. The only suggestion I have is to add a second round cake pan mat, since most people make 2 layers at a time. I don't add many new tools to my kitchen, but this set was worth it.

Competition entered the marketplace after cooks discovered the usefulness of the baking mats. We needed to replace our Silpat mats. We decided to try this brand after doing some online shopping. A great decision! We read reviews of similar brands. Some people had concerns about the smells or the painted trim rubbing off. Don't you like food neurotics? We have never experienced any of these issues with our use of both brands of mats. We wash them, dry them, and put them away for the next use. These baking mats work for us all the time. The brand of silicone mat performs the same as the former Silpat mats at about 1/3 the cost. You'll be happy to check them out for yourself.

👤I thought 2x12sheets small, but also a 8x10 for the oven. I washed the products and tried them in the traditional oven, but they started smoking minutes after the oven was done. The smell is very bad. I don't believe anyone wants to wash walls and windows regardless of my disability.

It was a good choice and although there is no way of knowing if it will last as long as the one from Aldi, it is fine and the quality is similar to my old one. I tried using them with scones and they worked well, but there was more dough that needed to be cleaned and there was more work to be done. I decided to keep the mats for the sugar cookies because I only have four of them. They shine in my bakery.

👤Silicone mats are non-stick and better for the environment. It took an act of Congress to get the bagels off. You know how Congress works. I got my stimulation sooner than the bagels got stuck from the mats. You get what you pay for. Spend a little more. The seller has offered to send new mats. I will let you know if the replacement mats work or not. I like the quick customer service and the willingness to make it right.

👤I think I have cracked the code. It was so confusing that it did not help clarify it. I couldn't tell what I was buying. I can now say with some confidence that 2.5 1/2 means 2 half sheets and 1 quarter sheet, while 1/3 means 3 quarter sized sheets. I used the quarter sheets in my solar oven and they fit perfectly on the rack that came with it. There is no more parchment paper. Thank you so much.

👤I used them twice over the weekend to prepare food for my son's birthday party. I made chocolate swirls on them. The 2nd experience was not the same as the first. I baked the rolls for the party. I noticed an odd odor when I sat at the table. The rolls were the source of the smell. They also tasted like it. The baking sheets had the same smell. They were cleaned prior to use. Unless you want a ruined birthday meal, I wouldn't recommend it. The rolls didn't stick to the mat on the upside.

👤I thought the title was misleading and I was ordering two half sheets. I got a half sheet and a quarter sheet. The Silicone Baking Mat Sheet Set is not what we received. The description says that the product is made from professional food grade silicone with a fibre glass core and is sized to fit all standard half sheets and quarter sheets.

👤They work well to prevent food from sticking to pans. Customer service was great, they responded to my confusion on cleaning. Baking soda and lemon juice can be used to remove excess oil or grease. Using a good grease cutting dish soap and wearing gloves will help. I haven't tried alcohol, but I read about it. It wouldn't hurt to use the vodka as a cleaning agent. I prefer using these mats instead of using a lot of foil and paper. I'm not opposed to saving money by not buying those things. My comment was edited since I learned that this is common for all Silicon mats. Their non stick function is unaffected by their appearance. I did not know about this before posting the original review. Please ignore this earlier comment, it is a type of criticism. This is what happens with any mat, so I am leaving a comment so that others won't consider it an issue. With limited use, they are getting some brown stains that I have been unable to clean off. Since this appears to be an issue not mentioned by others, I might have not gotten all the oil/grease off and baked it on the mat which could be causing brown stains. I read that boiling them in water will help remove oil and grease. I have learned that this is normal and that others don't mention it. There seems to be a general consensus that heat is important to thoroughly remove oil/grease. These are an indispensable kitchen helpers because of their effectiveness, environmentalfriendliness and money saving.

👤I recently bought a mat for rolling out cinnamon rolls and I loved it. I wanted to try other mats for my pans and baking sheets. The package contained all the sizes. The round one was the first one I tried. I was making bread in my ceramic cast iron pot. I put the dough on the mat and let it rise. The pot was not greasing. It worked out perfect. I tried the small square one in my pan. It goes up the side a bit. I make a puffed pancake recipe that sticks to the bottom even if I grease the pan. It worked well. I am an example of "you can teach an old dog new tricks" because I have been cooking for over 50 years.

I don't know if it was the size of the pans or the size of the liners, but they were a tad big for my pans and didn't sit flat on the bottom, but I used them anyway. 👤As a part time consumer protection advocate, I have seen a lot of questionable products on Amazon and this particular offering caught my eye. We cannot use anything with birds. In it. There was no information on the box about PFAS, etc., according to a few reviews. The pans were not the advertised size. This is false advertising. It seemed like a blatant attempt to get more sales without actually adhering to the claims. I bought a set so I could have physical evidence of the crime and the claim about the pan sizes is correct. They say the largest pan is 21.5" x 15.5", but the maximum dimensions of the box is 18.5". How does that work? Preliminary testing indicates these may contain some form of PTFE and possiblyBPA, and full lab results won't be back for another week or two at which point I'll update this review. Reports have been filed with multiple agencies and I have contacted the company directly to get access to their testing and production data that may support their 'PFOS, etc - free' claims, but don't hold your breath.

There is a The most important thing was that my husband said that the handles would be the problem if they became too hot since Silicone is toxic at high temperatures. We removed the handles but decided we would only use them as trays since we weren't confident about the safety. There is a I would feel safe if they included the details of the coating on the box and confirmed that it was the safest version of copper ceramic.

👤I want to use it in my bakers. The one roll is two sheets. You get a sheet that is rolled up. You have two sheets when you cut it in two. I can cut it in three or four. I worry that once it is cut, the ends will fall off. Leaving small pieces of something on my bread. I tried to seal it with heat, but it didn't do much. I used it in my largest baker. If I dare to use it, I might have a small piece left. I am hesitant because of the things that are happening. It worked the same as parchment paper. I have used this multiple times in my clay bakers, instead of the paper that was used in the past. The fraying has stopped. I washed and scrubbed the part I cut into a round shape, and pulled the small fibers that were torn off. I would buy this again. I use it once or twice a week. I changed my review to 4 stars.

👤I am not using this for its intended purpose. We use one of these sheets on our gas grill a lot. I needed a new craft sheet for papercrafting and noticed the grill sheet looked exactly like a craft sheet made with a slick surface that was easy to clean. It was labeled as a grill sheet, which was less expensive and larger than craft sheets. I would give it 5 stars for both grilling and crafting.

I am very happy that I did since it has eliminated the need for us to use aluminum foil or any type of cooking paper on our pans and baking sheets. 👤The product remains flat in the air fryer. I tried the paper twice and it was burned by the coil. I put the paper at the bottom of the oven the first time. I put the paper in the basket with the rolls on top. The edges were burned. This is the second time I have ordered the Cookina baking mat. I like to keep the mats clean. A friend of mine just got an air fryer. It is worth the cost.
