Best Baking Soda for Fridge and Freezer

👤I have been unable to find this product in a local store, but I have been able to find it through Amazon. It's helpful to have it in containers. Anne.

👤This product works well in bathroom sinks that are blocked with debris, when combined with boiling vinegar. Put a generous amount on the drain and then pour boiling vinegar over it. A couple applications were solved.

👤The baking soda has too many uses that it almost sounds too good to be true, but it is one of the few products that actually does what it says. The old cardboard box is replaced by a plastic container. The old box version of this container just stays open, so I prefer it because it has a lid. I like how easy it is to sprinkle it in the trash can or carpets. I like using baking soda to scrub the sink because it gets rid of surface rust, and I also use it to rinse my mouth when I have irritation. It works well at cleaning stove tops. I use it to clean jewelry with boiling water and aluminum paper. When the container is empty, you can either refill it with more baking soda or something else, it's really nice.

👤If you order more than 4 boxes, you might get them in an envelope. Six boxes were shrink wrapped and put into an envelope. I had to use the box at each end. Arm&Hammer products and packaging are of such good quality that they can survive shipping errors.

👤The boxes were so bad that I had to check the bottom and someone ran a black marker through some of the date, but I could clearly see that the year of expired was in the year of 2018. It doesn't help that Amazon has made the live chat more difficult.

👤I plugged it in after letting the refrigerator settle for a few hours. It began emitting a loud buzzing noise after about 20 minutes. I tried to return it online, but I was told it was not available. I was transferred to the supplier after 45 minutes of talking with the customer service rep at Amazon who said the unit was not returnable. They told me to take photos, videos, make a copy of my receipt, fill out the warranty claim, and then review my claim. If they approve the return, I will have to pay the freight charges to send it back to them. The return freight charges are more expensive than I have already spent because of the time and effort involved. I will take the fridge to the dump. I have been an Amazon customer for 15 years and have never had a problem with returning items that were shipped by Amazon. This transaction was very disappointing.

The people who decided that a replacement or refund was acceptable are wrong in their assumptions. If you don't know the correct recycling procedure for your unit, please contact your local government. In your area, there will be a facility or program in place to recycle the Unit. You can either check online or call your local government. Reimbursement for fees incurred by disposal is not included in warranty support. Attached to this email is a complete overview of our warranty process. This is ridiculous and I don't recommend anyone buying from this vendor.

👤I cut the straps and lifted the entire box straight up to reveal the product after I received it. The bottom was foam. There are scratches all over the product. It is not new, but it must have been from the'scratch and dent' division. Very disappointed. I paid for a new product and INRDeals

👤I like these for the car. It really helps if you place it under the seat. Love that they have a solution for odor eating. They work for many places other than the refrigerator.

The baking soda in the box is able to absorb the smells of the refrigerator because the air in the fridge interacts with it. It saves my marriage. My husband is able to leave his decomposing dishes in there for a long time, like in the episode of Everybody Loves Raymond where Robert accidentally messed up the wedding invitations. "The Plan" handles it all in season 7.

👤Every week I do my car pick up for groceries. I went to take the groceries out of the trunk and thought I saw a dead body in my car. I had rotten grapes in my bag. I don't know if this was a joke or if the store workers put the grapes in my bag by mistake, but I didn't order them. I have never smelled anything like that in my life. The smell lingered in my house even after I took the grapes to the dumpster, and I had a trunk full of grocery bags. The smell of my food made my fridge and freezer smell as well. I panicked. I cleaned the fridge. I cleaned my house. Again. The smell was still there. I thought getting these boxes could help. I knew they kept the odors out of the fridge. I ordered since they were very affordable. 10 minutes after putting a box in the fridge and one in the freezer, the smell was gone. I am not kidding at all! I couldn't believe that all the cleaning, spraying, wiping the fridge and freezer down with cleaning wipes didn't do anything to rid it of the decaying smell that these little boxes wiped out within minutes. It has been a week and I am still shocked. I will keep these babies in the fridge and freezer on a regular basis. You would be crazy not to try these out for this price.

👤I use Arm & Hammer 1 pound baking soda boxes in my freezer and refrigerator to eliminate odors. The boxes I used were not ideal but they did the job. The top would be put in the fridge. I found these boxes a few years ago. The side of the box that is torn off has a nice portion. Baking soda can't come out of the box because of a thin material. This design is perfect. The baking soda is being used to remove odors from my refrigerator and freezer instead of what I used before, which was soda coming off the top. This design works. I have no odors in my freezer or refrigerator. The box should be changed every 30 days. 45-60 days is what I usually go for a box. I feel fresh for more than 30 days. I change the boxes for new ones. The boxes keep freshness and remove odors at the same time. There are no spills if you tip one over. Baking soda can be used to clean. I open the side of the material to rinse the soda down in the kitchen sink, rather than throwing the used box in the garbage. A dual purpose. I was glad I found them on Amazon because they are hard to find in stores. The price for 6 boxes may be more than I would normally pay, but I love them and I don't mind paying a little more for them. I take advantage of Amazon's subscribe & save program so I can save a little more and order at my convenience. I want my pictures to show what each side looks like. There is a spot on the box where you can write in the date you put it in the refrigerator, which is a nice reminder. I highly recommend these, they are everything I love about them.

👤It seems to be effective at the task at hand, as I have been buying this regularly for a while now on a subscription. There was something removed from the purchase options that was disappointing. I was offered the option to have it professionally installed when I first ordered it. It's a bargain, right? Is it possible that I did it? No. I thought I was pretty handy. I can install a cup on a flat surface. Was it correct that I was wrong? Not really. What if I missed something? What if there was a better way to install it? Maybe it would have been better if I'd turned up my nose at the expert installation. I think experts should be trusted, and I think it would have been worth it to learn from the pro. It's too late now. No such pros are available. I will attach it to the cup with the hope that it will be effective. Is it really? I don't know for certain.

👤My husband left a half gallon of milk in our cottage for 4 months. The fridge smelled horrible. I washed out the fridge and it still had a scent. We couldn't find these anywhere in the small town where the cottage is, so I turned to Amazon. The smell in the fridge was absorbed in less than an hour after they were put there. Thank goodness! These really work.

👤I use them for about 9 months now and they work, they are a bit expensive but they work, I still use the first ones I used, the spare parts are good for other things such as replacing screens on tablets, but this product really does.

👤I bought two of these and both arrived open and were stored near something that was heavily scented. They smelled like air. Baking soda that has already been opened and already absorbed other smells is a problem because I am allergic to fragrance. I put baking soda in the fridge because it was damaged, but I can't say if this would have been better. Like most things delivered by Amazon. Very disappointed.

👤I have one in the freezer part and one in the fridge and it seems to keep the odors away, so I thought I would give it a try. If you just put water in the part that is going on and stick it on, it will be too dry. It will not stick to the fridge.

👤The cup doesn't work. I tried in 3 different fridges and it didn't stick to the walls. I can't find a place for it in the fridge because of the packaging. They say it's not eligible after I tried to return it. Don't buy.

👤The product has been used for many years. It is better to put the Baking Soda in a bowl or glass in the fridge to keep it fresh in the air inside of the fridge. The Suction-cup on the back does not hold well and frequently falls down, so it is only a 4. It seems like it is made of a different type of plastic. The price on this product has gone up too much. Not just with the Vendors on Amazon, but in the stores as well. I might go back to the old fashion way.

👤It is odorless and can be found in the fridge. I bought this at the same time I cleaned my fridge. It seems to work. There was no offending smell. I might put it in the sun.

👤This is a clever item. The color isn't set in the plastic. I wiped the item clean with an alcohol wipe. That was disappointing.

👤I didn't have to take it out of its packaging to notice what was wrong. The paint job looks terrible, just look at the edges and the ear. Someone tried to hand paint a chip on a piece of furniture with something that looked like nail polish. On the other side, it's chipping and the bottom looks like it's been used. The seller thought it was ok to send it, and I'll be returning asap.

How much baking soda do you add? I didn't see a fill line and there were no instructions. I filled it up to the top. This is worth every penny. I will let my kids name it, draw the name on the belly, and we will have a pet in the fridge.
