Best Baking Supplies for Cookies

👤When I make drop cookies, I always consider cookie scoops, but once they are baked, it's pointless. I made cookies after I ordered a set. It was so simple to make my oatmeal raisin cookies, they were the same size, there was no going back and forth with two spoons or adding a little bit here and there, and it was just like a bakery. I'm looking forward to using the large ones. It was clean and sturdy. I may have more cookies in the house. As well as muffins, cupcakes, deviled eggs, meatballs, and more.

👤When I ordered this, I was very happy. I could imagine baking with my children. The smells, the sounds, the laughter...NOPE! I realize that this was an expensive purchase, but as I "scooped", my first pan of cookies broke. On chocolate chip cookie dough. Not what I had pictured. If you want an excuse to not make cookies for the holiday party, this is for you.

👤They're easy to use for making a lot of cupcakes. I like having a small scoop, a medium scoop and a large scoop. There are measurements.

👤I washed the product in the sink after I received it on a Saturday. One of the scoops fell apart. The scoop mechanism broke because the weld had been poorly done. I will be returning all three scoops.

👤Woah! I had high hopes for these. The only thing they can get is soft batter. The blade broke when I used the medium for the chocolate chip cookie batter. I tried the snake one and it went out of place, so I thought I was trying to grab more than I should. It is a huge disappointment that there is no right way to use these for cold batter. Save your money and use your ice cream scoop.

👤I don't think purchasing this airbrush is a good idea. I bought one on July 20 and it wouldn't work any more. I use air brushes daily and have a lot of experience with them. The compressor would still run even though the gun stopped working. I thought I would try it again because of the price. I bought another one. There are the same issues with a gun. It lasted less than a month.

👤I wanted to invest in an airbrush for my beginning learning and practicing hobby of decorated cookies, but I couldn't afford to spend a lot just getting into the hobby. The machine was perfect for the bill. It takes practice and time to get used to it. I think I'm on to it now. Since I don't do a lot of baking and decorating cookies, I think this machine was a good investment.

👤I have used this airbrush a few times and it's easy to use. I should note... I have been using external feed airbrushes for a long time. I am still getting used to the spray, but it takes more practice to get a light spray. The colors seem decent. Make sure to mix them. The size, ease of use, and ease of cleaning are what I love the most. The rubber hose is long. I'm thinking of shortening it a little. In one picture, I used a stencil to make the pumpkin look like it was baked and in another, I used pie cookies to make it look like it was baked. The second time I used the silver and colors from a different manufacturer to play around with a different effect.

We turn it on once everyone has their homework done, because it's scheduled to be off after school. The kids know that if I power stuff off from the app, they won't have a chance to save their game. This is a big motivator. If your outlet is easy to reach, you can use the app to circumvent it, but our outlet is behind the entertainment center and no one can reach it. If anyone starts fighting over a game, I use this. I didn't know that the fighting between siblings could be caused by the game. I turn the outlet off when I hear fighting. My kids remind me each time. Mom is going to turn it off! It feels great that I have regained control of my household.

👤TP-Link does not require a separate hub to work, which is why I chose them. Plug-in, install or load the Kasa app, then discover using the Kasa app, and you're ready to go. I love the light switches and outlet plugs. The online TP-LINK installation videos are short and easy to understand. Every time, these smart devices work perfectly using the Kasa app and the Google Assistant. The devices worked perfectly when the power went out. The best purchase ever. I was able to control my lights from anywhere in the house simply by speaking to Amazon's voice assistant. The Google Assistant got in action. I can now tell my phone "Ok Goggle, turn on the Basement" since I made a "basement" group to include them both. If you're buying these Smart Plugs or Smart Switches for the first time, the below info will be helpful to know to avoid asking yourself "Why is it not working for me the way people say they do?" To use your devices with your phone or tablets, you need to install the Kasa app. The smart devices need to be able to connect via the internet in your house to be operated remotely. You bought these to operate them remotely, even though you can still operate them manually. The app lets you name each device and group. You can call it out using ALEXA or GOOGLE ASSISTANT, but you have to create scenes to group multiple Smart devices at the same time. The options to set schedules, timers and more are open to you if you tap on the device name. 2. Are you a fan of the Amazon Echo? You can add the Kasa Skill to your phone or tablet, discover devices, create Groups similar to the Scenes in Kasa, and select which devices to include in the group for the voice assistant to know what you meant. If you don't create groups in the skill, you will not know which Smart devices turn on/off at the same time. In the app. You will feel like a member of The Jetsons, a Star Trek crew member or a millionaire when you use the voice command "Alexa, turn on the Living Room" after you create a group name. 3. Do you own an Android device with version 6.0 or higher? The same Artificial Intelligence that is used with the Google Home device is used to upgrade those devices to the Android Assistant. You need to enable and setup the Android Assistant using the same steps I described in topic #2 above, and link it to your Kasa account, create Group names, and add Smart devices to the group. To set up your TP-LINK Smart devices to use the Android Assistant, you need to say "Ok Google, turn on my lights" and the artificial intelligence will prompt you with a bubble for you to setup the Home interface. It's a bomb! I hope this will help you enjoy your TP-LINK Smart devices as much as I do. If you're still not sure if you should get these or another brand. Get these! You won't regret it. They work well. Customer support was very responsive when I had questions. The love is there. My goal is to get my entire house upgraded to only TP-LINK light switches. It will happen as the budget allows.

👤This Silpat Mat is not recommended by me. It looks fake to me. The seller told me that they are authentic. I tried it for the first time and some of my cookies were not even cooking. I had other silpat mats that were better than this one and I bought them from an actual store. The mat was wrapped with brown paper. The mats I bought from the store came in a plastic container. I don't recommend this mat.

👤I was tired of buying and throwing away paper for baking. This product is amazing. It is easy to clean. I have used this mat to bake many things. I decided to use this mat because I always had trouble spacing cookies when baking. They would blend together. This is not true. I had to write a review and share a picture because I was so impressed. I don't think anyone would be disappointed in buying this product, and I can't wait to get another one.

👤I was worried about the cookies on the mats being too hot and resisted trying Silpat mats. I haven't noticed a difference in taste, but slightly less browning may be happening. After a lot of holiday baking, I can say that these cookies clean up like a dream and they cool down quickly between batches. I helped the environment by not using 2 dozen half sheets of paper for many tasks, and I will continue to use it for many more, I believe all my cookies will be done on the mats from now on.

👤We use a lot of parchment paper. I cannot tear the paper correctly. It's a big waste of paper. It's only one use item. I've seen these baking sheets and thought maybe I should try them. I baked my first batches of chocolate chip cookies with my baking mat and I will tell you that they did not stick. They slid off the mat. The size rings were nice and I plan to order another set for my pan as I did a side by side with the paper. This is a mat. The cookies on the mat turned out nicely. I don't want to carry the paper in a pear tree.

I was excited to use this because I dislike having different sized cookies, and my daughter who is learning to bake would like something like this as it has more guidelines for cookies. Any way. I decided to use it immediately. Took it out of the package, washed it, took out the cookie dough from the fridge, and put it in the oven. The cookie was on for 10 minutes. HOLY POO! Is it food? These cookies were not even usable at this point. I'm not sure if this product is faulty or if it is someone recreating the product with cheaper material and selling it as the actual silpat mat?

👤I am atypical in reviewing this kitchen utensil, but I have a special appreciation for special tools that do their intended function well and have high standards for tools. I recognized this product as exceptional from the beginning. The cute little dusting wand provides a shower of flour or powdered sugar that is more uniformly distributed than I would have thought possible. I like to make my own bread and this device makes it very easy to make a mess of the dough or counter top. It's fun to use fool proof. Just buy it. You will not be sorry.

👤Good quality. The price was raised from $9.99 to $15.99. I don't think it's worth much. The good news is that you can close the ball with a twist of the arm. This is a two handed operation. For the price, you could get several small hand held bowl style sifters at $5 a piece and leave each one in your different dry goods containers. The Vollrath brand cookie sheets were highly rated by ATK and the price probably got jacked up after it was mentioned on the kitchen show.

👤I felt silly buying a dusting wand, but I love it. It has many uses in my baking. I use it to dust confectioner's sugar on some baked goods for their finish and it doesn't waste a lot. There is very little waste because I dust with confectioner's to prevent sticking. I used it to dust with cocoa powder. I have a container with a pour spout and holes in it that I can use to sprinkle corn starch or sugar on fondant. I used it to dust Swerve on a stencil over a chocolate cake. It's small enough that you don't have to put too much in a sieve or strainer, having it go all over the place, and then wasting materials. When you empty it out, it washes up nicely.

👤I use this item to make brownies. I wanted to finish them off with some powdered sugar. Dry powdered sugar can change shape. This item fixes something. To fill it, you have to turn the ball at the bottom of the handle. When you dump in some powdered sugar, you have a metal ball full of powered sugar. If you shake it over brownies, you'll get the effect you were looking for. It's nice to be able to do a stencil over a cake that is not going to ice. In this case, you would cut out a heart, place it on your cake, and then shake the powdered sugar over it. You can remove the template and have a heart in the middle of your cake. Cool! Some people call powdered sugar "icing sugar" or "confectioners sugar". Same thing.

👤It's small and cute. The end of the white handle is easy to twist. I opened the ball, took some powdered sugar, and twisted it shut to make french toast. I was able to dust about 12 pieces of french toast with only one ball full of sugar. I dumped the leftover sugar into its container after twisting it open. I didn't wash it right away because it's only ever going to have powdered sugar. It's easy to use. It doesn't take up more space in a drawer than a fork.

👤I was very excited to get this cookware. I liked the look of it and the color. I had a brand new kitchen sink and I'm dealing with rusted pans that stained it. Do not buy if you plan to use them.

👤Beware! I thought Rachel Ray would have a quality product. After only washing the pan once, I saw the coating was starting to rust and bubbling up. I contacted Amazon and they only offered me a partial refund because it was over 30 days. I thought that Rachel Ray would be behind their product. If this happened to one pan, how would I know if the others would have the same problem? Rachel Ray told me that they would only replace the pan and not give me a refund. I thought this was not good customer service. I went back to Amazon and told them that Rachel Ray had given me a full refund. I used the cupcake pan for the second time and it was the same bubbling and rusting as the first time. Don't buy a product that is inferior. Thank you Amazon for standing behind the product when the seller did not.

👤These pans are of good quality. The good part is that we filed a warranty claim after we returned the pan because it had two deep scratches. The replacement pan was sent by the company. They make you file a claim every time, so it's hard to contact them. It took a month to get the wrong pan, so I may return it.

👤It's amazing! When we renovated our kitchen, we got a new set of Rachel Ray pots and pans. My last set lasted us a long time. The blue part of the pan melted when it was in the oven. It melted! The product was terrible. I'm sad that I can't have all of the matching sets, but I'm scared to buy another set.

👤Yesterday I got these. Decided to make muffins. I debated if I should grease them. I didn't. I used them the same way as they are. My muffins popped out. There was nothing left in the pan. I'm happy. Don't put non stick pans in the dishwasher no matter what they say, I have learned this from owning dozens of non stick pans. It is a good idea to wash and dry under the rim. Never use non stick spray. I have learned that it will ruin your pans. I needed new pans because of that. I'm happy I bought these. If I have any issues, I will update in the future.

👤I received a new 10-piece bakeware from the company and I am loving it so far. They arrived quickly, were packaged nicely, and are a beautiful color. The metal is very strong and thick, which is something I have never experienced with any other pans or cookie sheets. I like that the pans have a good size handle on both sides, which makes it easier to remove the food from the oven. The handles are large enough to be picked up with my hand. The red silicone parts are thick enough that they help keep the pans from scratching each other when they are stored, but I don't know if that is their purpose or not. I accidentally tested out the non-stick surface last night and decided to write this review now. I have never made a spiral glazed ham before. I wrapped the ham in foil because I was afraid the juices would leak all over my oven and I would have trouble lifting an odd shaped ham. I put the cookie sheets under the ham. I baked it for 2 hours, removed it, opened the foil, poured on the sticky glaze, re-wrapped it, and popped it back in the oven. As the ham was cooking, the glaze leaked out of the foil, all over the cookie pan, and burned onto the surface. I wish I had taken a picture of it to see how bad it was. I debated whether to clean the pan or just throw it away after removing the ham. I ran hot water over it to see if there was any hope, and to my astonishment, the burnt gunk began falling off and rinsing out! I put a couple of drops of Dawn in the pan, filled it with hot water, and let it sit overnight because there were a couple of spots that the water didn't work on. The rest of the burnt gunk fell out when I touched it with the sponge after rinsing the pan with more hot water. The pan is brand new, like it had never been through such a horrible experience. I have never had a pan that came clean without scrubbing, soaking, and more scrubbing. This one was so clean that I didn't even have to wash it with a sponge, it was just washed with a soft soapy sponge. It's worth the money. These seem to be an investment that will last for a long time. I can't wait to get the stove-top pots and other items.

I got everything in perfect condition except for the tips manual, but after reading the questions on Amazon, a lady told me to email them, and I got an email back with the tips manual, so their customer service was on point. I love this. It was a great purchase. The only thing I can say is that the smaller tips should have been bigger. This was my first time decorating a cake or baking a cake and this kit helped me achieve my birthday goal.

I was not sure how safe it was to use because some things had a harsh chemical smell, others were dirty looking and all scratched up, and other things looked like plastic pieces were breaking off the edges. The cake leveler's strings were too long and flimsy. The quality is really bad, but I bought it because of the thousands of good reviews and not because of the small amount of bad reviews. I was so concerned about the quality of my cakes that I didn't want to risk baking with anything that could leak into my cakes. You get what you pay for. I invested 40 extra dollars in quality products after returning it.

I am a complete amateur at cake airbrush and this set definitely meets expectations since I have no other reference point. Other sets do not come with a short instruction booklet. It comes with a good starter set of colors. They should last me for a while since you don't need a lot of color. If you don't want your cake to be colored, you should use a towel or plastic drop cloth behind it, which is a recommendation I saw when researching airbrushes and is certainly required with this sort of tool. I am very happy with this set. It was a bit more expensive than a few others I saw. I would recommend people who are just starting out.

👤I have used this airbrush twice and I am a home baker. It is very easy to use. I was about to use the spray nozzle on the cake when I noticed it was loose. Some reviews say the nozzle broke after a couple uses. It is not broken. I found an exact copy of this one on the internet after watching videos about the nozzles. I had no idea how to reassemble it. I didn't have to do that. The screw inside the pink end piece needs to be tightened. The spring gives zero kickback when it loosens. If this has happened, don't give up on it. I almost felt like I had to have this cake done today.

👤The machine is small. I decorate sugar cookies with it. The colors are vibrant and true, and a little goes a long way. It is a perfect size for home use. The mist does a decent job, but it's easy to over do it. I run a small cookie business and it has helped me a lot. I wish it had a case for the pen and white paint. There is a Talking about the pen... I had to open it a few times to loosen it because the lever wouldn't work. It kept working great once we got it right. We made it work and I feel like it should not arrive like this. If your pen doesn't work, just play with it. You have to figure out what to loosen and tighten.

👤These are substandard products according to others. After using 350 for making English muffins, both of mine have become useless. The last batches stuck badly, and the silicone appears to have been transferred to the high-end baking pans. Attached are photos. These mats were only used for a short time before they deteriorated and ruined a baking project.

👤The baking mats are great. The quality is excellent and the price is good. I use them for everything in the oven. You name it, it's from oven pizzas. I love that they help protect my baking sheets by helping food slide off the non stick surface. It is also very convenient to just wipe them clean or put them in the top shelf of the dishwasher. You can cut off 1/3 of the paper towel roll to use as a holder, and just roll up the mats and slip inside the ring for easy storage of the mats in a drawer. I highly recommend them. We use these mats almost daily and I have had them for almost a year. They look brand new. I have not had any issues with mats becoming worn or staining. I use them to cook most items at up to 450 degrees but have not had any issues with them so far. I drape them over my cups in the top rack of the dishwasher and then when dry roll them up and slip a napkin ring or rings cut from and empty paper towel roll into a drawer so they fit easily into a drawer. These things are fantastic and have paid for themselves many times over in the superior non stick surface, ease of clean up and the cost of parchment paper and or aluminum foil I used prior to discovering them.

👤I spoke with an Amazon customer service representative and was told that they would escalate the issue to have it addressed and possibly amend the product review. I am surprised that they didn't offer a refund on the product, but I think the most important thing is to see if they address the fire and safety issue at its root. There is an update on 11/11/18. One reviewer stated that these are not good for use above 400 degrees F. The mat was smoking when I opened the oven after putting it in the oven. This was the mat itself, no oils or anything applied to it. I changed my review to one star and will be requesting a refund from Amazon. This is a danger. I've been trying to reduce my carbon footprint so I was looking for an eco-friendly alternative to aluminum foil to line my baking sheets. The mats were the ticket. They fit perfectly on my baking trays. These are even better than aluminum foil because I don't have to use oil to make them non-stick! I can cook even better. I will recommend this to my friends.

👤I like the idea of just pushing, turning, lifting and expelling. The device works, but it is not the same as the originalThrifty Drug and Discount Store model. There are two probes in the middle of the cylinder that leave holes in the ice cream scoop. How do I know? I worked for a store that buys you more money while you're in college. The tiered ice cream model is not the same as the other models.

👤I used to work for Thrifty"s and thought it would be cool to have their ice cream scoop. I ran out to buy ice cream to try it out, but it wasn't the original from my store days. The real one is heavier and harder to scoop, because you're doing all the work. I will be more careful with my purchases.

It is a trip back in time, and the cylinders of it create are spot-on reenactments of holiness of childhood. The difference? Its two-pronged "ejector" puts two tiny holes atop each scoop, which is easy to fix. 👤I wanted to like this ice cream scoop, but it wasn't to be. The concept was easy enough, but it fell apart when I got the first scoop. I was able to put it back together after I looked at it. It wasn't put together right at the factory. I tried another scoop and it fell apart again. I can put it back together quicker now, but it is easier to use my old $3.00 scoop.

👤My childhood memories were brought back. It worked great when I made my ice cream. The idea of a scooper made it easier for my kids to get ice cream in the scooper than it was to scoop it. It was a bit pricey, but that's what you pay for nostalgia. The greatest scooper ever!
