Best Baking Tray Liner

👤The pans are almost perfect, but they are a little short on length to fit in the grease catcher of my Griddle. 99% of the job of catching grease is done by them, they are close enough to be the exact size I need. The price is better than the pans sold for this purpose. I will buy these pans when I run out.

👤I was going to make 100 loaves of pumpkin bread, but when I opened the box, the top 12 or so containers were bent. The aluminum is thin and I didn't want it to go back to its original shape. If you bake mini loaves you need perfect pans otherwise they will come out dry. The other pans did bake the bread nicely, but they were 12 short of a 100 bread order.

👤I'll be making mini-loaves for people this Christmas, and including them with a stack of ingredients and six mini-loaf pans, so they can make their own pumpkin bread. I bought these for that purpose, and they will be perfect for it. They're great for a single use, and it was the best price I was able to find. I've used them for mini-casseroles for my daughter. I've found that disposables work best when you want someone to return a dish.

👤If I didn't need durable pans for such a special occasion, I wouldn't have given more Stars, but I would have voiced my concern about the misleading mention of "Super-Thick". The cheapest version of these pans that I've ever seen was from a Dollar store with 2 sheets of heavy duty foil. Those were worse than these. Since I bake over 5,000 mini loaf quick breads a season for local Farmers' Markets, I've found one style of pans at one chain of stores that I'm able to wash and reuse roughly 5 times without compromising the aluminum, and those are the Eco- style. This chain can't keep enough in stock and this company doesn't want to sell the style I need on their website or through Amazon, so I have to buy it myself. I was skeptical but willing to look at the reviews, title and description to make sure I was getting the best choice for others I was watching. This is the first time I've experienced that when shopping here. Absolutely not. I should've asked, "is that as thick as parchment paper?" It would have been more useful if it held its shape.

👤I ordered the wrong size and the product is in good condition. The top of the pan is longer than a Sharpie. The bottom of the pan is shorter than a Sharpie. The grey part of a Sharpie is the width. The smallest side of the pan is the bottom of a water bottle. Two pictures show the size of the pan compared to the oven rack. Will fit two cups if it's full. It would be enough for someone who eats light, or half a meal for someone who eats more.

👤These Bright Kitchen Silicone Dehydrator sheets are a good buy. They fit the Excalibur perfectly and make it easy to remove dried fruit from the sheets. Should have purchased them sooner. They are thick and go straight into the dishwasher. I wrap them with Saran wrap when not in use. This keeps them compact and ready to use. The Excalibur's plastic sheets are not meant for dehydrating fruits like strawberries, bananas, and sprouted grains. Who knew? My first attempt at eating fruit was terrible. It was very difficult to remove them from the net holes. Cleaning the nets was a job. I have pictures of how easy it is to remove the bananas. We are the same deal. It was dried into the net. It's as simple as putting the mats in the dishwasher. Adding time to drying is insignificant, but it is more than made up for by being able to dehydrate the fruit and grains period. I was ecstatic about these mats. I'm going to make fruit leathers for hiking, fishing, and work snacks. There are a lot of sprouted Spelt grains going right now. I just discovered the possibilities with my new mats. My Excalibur and mats make it easy to eat healthy. You will not be disappointed.

👤These mats are really nice. The Excalibur dehydrating rack was perfect. They fit my baking sheets well. I have used them for baking at higher temperatures and they have worked well.

👤It was very easy to clean. Use a soft cloth with dish soap to wash, not a brush or scratch pad. I just use hot water, a facecloth with a bit of Dawn and wash them, rinse and hang them from my clothesline. They have a greasy texture to them and have a small amount of bubbles in the mat, which are just slight defects. The cookies, scones, or whatever I'm baking are all gone. Absolutely love them. They are hot when they come out of the oven. They are still hot when they are out of the oven. Highly recommended.

👤I wanted a baking mat that would survive high oven temperatures in a dutch oven and would easily separate from the bread, not like paper. I placed the mats on the cookie sheet in the 480 degree oven because I read a few reviews about them smoking in the oven. They smoked up the kitchen for about half an hour and then stopped. I suggest that you bake the mats in the oven before using them. I put them in my bread basket. The bread baked on the mats was fine. No need to use any more paper. If they didn't smoke in the oven, I would give them 5 stars. I'm curious why the vendor doesn't bake them after the manufacturing process.

👤They work well for non stick. We made cinnamon rolls from scratch and there was a funny smell. I put them back in the oven after washing and drying them. It wasn't nice to smell them. The stinky cloud came out when I opened the oven. I'm returning them.

They are non-stick, wash easily, and fit my baking sheets perfectly, so I gave them two stars. Due to their reaction in my oven, I have decided not to use them anymore and will switch to parchment paper.

👤These are great! I was skeptical if the mats would cause the food to be soggy and if they worked at all. Thankfully, they work well. I used them for the first time to make cinnamon rolls and they were the best I have ever made. The bottoms are usually burnt by the time the top portion is cooked. 👤I recently purchased these and am returning. I had to wash the top of the mat, bottom of the mat, and the pan because the grease from cookies went through the mat. Silicone baking mats are new to me, but I consulted with my friends to make sure they are not porous and only need a wipe down after use.

👤I threw one away because it was too hard to clean. The other is on some kind of supervision. I only recommend these for non-greasy foods. They are hard to clean if you cook them greasy. When I pull them out of the drawer, they're slimy and greasy, and I scrub them out, wipe them dry, and then I put them back in. I'm not sure but I'm thinking about going back to the aluminum foil. These are good for baking. I use them all the time if I'm not cooking anything greasy or oily. It keeps the pan from getting dirty and keeps me from using a lot of aluminum foil. Grease will leak through if anything is greasy. It is easy to clean up. You have to wash them with soap and not just rinse them off.

👤The first time I used it, it was in the oven for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. It melted in the oven and left a white powder covering the inside of the oven and a pile of ash outside. I've had some before, but never like this. I'm not sure if this is a knock off or not, but my oven is a disaster, and then smoke/ash got into the fan unit, and I'm not sure what to do. It's a terrible thing.

👤When I ordered my Silpat, I bought new baking pans. I roasted some veggies at 350 and the Silpat melted onto the pan. The pan and mat are ruined. I am disappointed that the veggies didn't stick to the silpat, but I am even more disappointed that my new baking pan is ruined.

👤I think the rave reviews are from people who don't own an authentic Silpat baking mat. I ordered this because I was curious about the low cost and wanted to compare it to the one I already owned. I could tell it wasn't right when I took it out of the packaging. The baking mats were supposed to be folded in half. They were meant to be stored in rolled or flat form, so no care was taken in shipping it. It felt more like a light plastic than a Silpat. The construction appeared to be a cheapened replica. I returned it immediately, so it could still be a useful baking mat. If you are looking for an authentic Silpat, I would encourage you to purchase it from a trusted retailer. Bed Bath & Beyond, Williams and Sonoma carry them.

👤It melted onto my baking pan when I used it to bake pastries. There is a photo for the pan. I have a melted silicone sheet and a ruined baking pan.

👤As soon as I opened the box, I knew something was wrong. It was clear that I had a fake when I compared the mats I received with the one I already owned. The edges of a fake are wrapped in plastic film and rolled into a cardboard sleeve and feel rough when you run a finger over them. The logo and lettering are shiny, but the strands themselves are not tightly woven. The letters are printed on the silicone. Be sure to inspect what you receive because they have very crisp edges. I might have been deceived if I didn't have an authentic one to compare the fakes with.

👤I was impressed with the texture of the baking mats. These aren't sticky sheets, but rather a very pleasant and durable feel. We tried them out. We used them to cook some fish after my husband threw them on the grill. We put a cookie on the bottom of the oven for spills. It's safe up to 500 degrees. Even in the microwave! It's easy to clean. They do well in the dishwasher. Less paper waste is a result of reuse. Dark color doesn't show stains. I had trouble getting some of the stickier cookies I make. I have to be careful when I use them and when I take them out because my oven goes up to 550. This is inconvenient, but not a big deal. I have an oversized oven and I wish they were bigger. The bottom of my oven is not covered by one. They crease easily. I would be more likely to buy them again if the cons were resolved or other sizes were available. I would recommend them to anyone who works with multiple heat sources because they are a good product and easy to use. I am happy with these.

👤Wow! I used one on my grill last night. There are grilled fish and veggies. The fish had grill marks. There was no mess to clean up. Can't believe I didn't know about them sooner. Put it in the bottom of the oven as well. They grill is the deal.

👤I think I have cracked the code. It was so confusing that it did not help clarify it. I couldn't tell what I was buying. I can now say with some confidence that 2.5 1/2 means 2 half sheets and 1 quarter sheet, while 1/3 means 3 quarter sized sheets. I used the quarter sheets in my solar oven and they fit perfectly on the rack that came with it. There is no more parchment paper. Thank you so much.

👤I used them twice over the weekend to prepare food for my son's birthday party. I made chocolate swirls on them. The 2nd experience was not the same as the first. I baked the rolls for the party. I noticed an odd odor when I sat at the table. The rolls were the source of the smell. They also tasted like it. The baking sheets had the same smell. They were cleaned prior to use. Unless you want a ruined birthday meal, I wouldn't recommend it. The rolls didn't stick to the mat on the upside.

👤The idea is great but the product is disappointing. I used my sheet for the first time tonight and it left a waffle pattern on the baking sheet and the mat melted a little to the pan, leaving plastic that had to be scrapped off.

👤I thought the title was misleading and I was ordering two half sheets. I got a half sheet and a quarter sheet. The Silicone Baking Mat Sheet Set is not what we received. The description says that the product is made from professional food grade silicone with a fibre glass core and is sized to fit all standard half sheets and quarter sheets.

👤They work well to prevent food from sticking to pans. Customer service was great, they responded to my confusion on cleaning. Baking soda and lemon juice can be used to remove excess oil or grease. Using a good grease cutting dish soap and wearing gloves will help. I haven't tried alcohol, but I read about it. It wouldn't hurt to use the vodka as a cleaning agent. I prefer using these mats instead of using a lot of foil and paper. I'm not opposed to saving money by not buying those things. My comment was edited since I learned that this is common for all Silicon mats. Their non stick function is unaffected by their appearance. I did not know about this before posting the original review. Please ignore this earlier comment, it is a type of criticism. This is what happens with any mat, so I am leaving a comment so that others won't consider it an issue. With limited use, they are getting some brown stains that I have been unable to clean off. Since this appears to be an issue not mentioned by others, I might have not gotten all the oil/grease off and baked it on the mat which could be causing brown stains. I read that boiling them in water will help remove oil and grease. I have learned that this is normal and that others don't mention it. There seems to be a general consensus that heat is important to thoroughly remove oil/grease. These are an indispensable kitchen helpers because of their effectiveness, environmentalfriendliness and money saving.

👤They are what they say they are, but they don't mention that they rust up. The water gets up under the pan so it will rust. I washed them the first time. The rusty water ran out of the edges on to the floor after an hour of sitting. It was shocked and amazed. I need to learn to shop local for certain items.

👤I'm a huge fan of non-stick baking items, they're easy to keep clean, and truly non-stick. I just finished my second batches of sugar cookies and it was easy. I lightly buttered the pans before the first batches came in, and that was the last time I did that. The batches were cooked to perfection and slid off with no sticking. And washing-up? The finish is as perfect as it was when it was fresh out of the box, because there was no trace of anything on either of the pans. I've never been a big fan of such things, but these deserve a rave, especially at the price. I went to Walmart and paid more for similar pans but only had a food stick and non-stick wash off. I washed it by hand.

👤I had to return them because they seem like they'd be great. The size listed is 9x13, but it's the bottom dimensions. The sides flare out a bit and the top edge is rolled so that the top dimensions are 9.75 x 13.75 These pans don't fit in the oven because of the sides flaring out, but I bought them to use in my Breville Toaster Oven to replace a 13" round pan.

👤The pans are only 1/3 " deep. I bought them to use as cookie sheets because they are the right length and width for my countertop oven. The cookie sheet will fall in the oven. The quality is not as good as $1 store cookie sheets. I didn't want to return them, but I did not want to put them in a wrapper. I don't have a good cookie sheet because I'm out $10. I will not buy a product from them again.

👤Do not recommend. There are many weird things. After washing, there is a weird color that drips. There is always a small amount of greyish water draining from the back lip of the tray. There was a lot of scratching from sitting against each other. The scratches are on the corners and edges of the tray, not from utensils. They are showing scratches from being placed against each other in a cabinet. The tray that's used for food does not hold up well.

👤These would be perfect if it wasn't for the brown liquid under the side folds. I washed it before using it. The clean sheet was leaking rust liquid quickly. Since they are bent over, you can't clean in the folds, so I didn't know if there was grease. The pans can work, but you can't stack them because of the brown liquid dripping. I haven't used them so I would like to return them. It is not eligible. These are non-refundable if you are going to purchase.
