Best Baking Ware Glass

👤The photo shows a sticker in the corner. I don't like stickers that leave a mark. I am one of the people who reviews a product before it is used. It's really bad. I tried my best to remove sticky stuff withPam cooking spray and some fingernail scratching, but it didn't work. It seems ideal with the lid style. It's perfect for a small dish. I will keep it and try it. Over time, it may be hard to get the residue off.

👤This bakeware is large and looks great. Trying to remove the sticker from the glass. The lid is impossible. I made a mistake using the rough side of my sponge while using dish soap and hot water. There are scratches on it. Why do they put a sticker on PLEXIGLASS that won't work? Why not put a piece of cardboard in the dish with a message? I think I'm not the only one who's complained about this.

👤These glass food storages are very nice. They're colorful and fun to cook with. They have a good amount of colors, but would love to see more. These are inexpensive and last a long time. I bought them for friends family and colleagues who loved them.

👤The bowl was broken when I opened it. The box had seen better days. It was put inside a box that was clean and perfect for shipping. It seems that this damage was not caused by shipping. The other pieces look old and dusty. The box has been sitting around for a while.

👤Beautiful! Are you complaining that these are being slammed all over the place? Did you read the product information? It's not from Cornell. The old Corningware was back to the Cornflower pattern. The lifestyle of kitchens today is not the same as it was in the past. They are perfect for the new air fryers. I will put the bakeware in during preheat to avoid problems. Adding the results of the testing to the sales site would be a good idea, as would adding more information in the directions. These are 10X better than similar bakeware. Buy it!

👤The set was broken but I like it. They look like the sets my mom and grandma had. I would like to have that broken piece replaced. I only have to cook for myself and a 1 year old so I would use that one the most. Same day. On top of the broken baking dishes, I just went to use the middle sized one and noticed a small crack in the crevice of the dish. We just moved in and we have no other bakeware and this set is trash. Don't buy.

👤We have had 3 sets of these dish sets delivered to us and they were a wreck. The large dish/casserole lid and plastic cover did not fit in the first one. We called Amazon and they were great. They sent us a new set, but it was broken. I called Amazon again and they sent me a new set, but the lid didn't fit. I am going to get my next set at the store. The sets are a little bit rough.

👤I was happy with the set, but a week later I was using the bowl and lid to hold some hot carrots. When I went to serve the carrots my wife noticed that the lid had cracked into the glazed carrots. At first we thought it was a small piece of glass. I have lost my faith in this set. I don't trust the bowls and covers to hold food. I wouldn't recommend this set to anyone who doesn't want to throw away money.

👤The bowl was broken when I opened the box. The glass lid on the 1.5 and 2.5 quart dishes don't sit flush when you set them on them. The casserole dishes were not made evenly. For what I need these for, they will be fine, but I expected more from the set.

👤It exploded in the oven. This isn't real Pyrex, it's dangerous junk. I reached in with a spatula to remove the fish from the dish that exploded when I tried to broil it. Real Pyrex is made from borosilicate which is very heat resistant and cheap lime glass. The Pyrex brand was sold by Corning in 1998 and the current owners use it as a brand name, but they don't make it out of actual pyrex glass. You can find references to exploding pyrex on the internet, including from Consumer Reports. I wish I'd done the search before I bought this, it's left me with an oven full of shattered glass. If you are looking for Pyrex, you should look for borosilicate baking dishes.

👤Poor reviewers had to clean shattered glass out of our ovens. This product is not oven safe. There is a product made from borosilicate glass. Pyrex used to be made of that. Please don't buy this product.

👤I have used Pyrex for years and purchased this pan last year. We don't use this a lot, but it had worked fine until today. I removed the pan and the loaf of meat from the oven when it was done because it was 350 degrees. One side of the Pyrex spilled all over the place. We only used the pan about 6 times and it is only 9 months old.

👤I didn't know that pyrex glassware is made of soda lime and not borosilicate like they used to be. I was looking for a brand that wouldn't shatter with temperature changes. The seller should note in their description that this glassware is not tempered. I wouldn't have made this purchase if I'd known the glass was soda lime. It was very misleading and disappointing.

👤These dishes are not for sale. The mine exploded! Look at it. They are exploding! Pyrex is facing a class-action lawsuit. The dishes can not handle high temperatures. I spent hours trying to clean up the mess after the chicken couldn't be eaten. I have old Pyrex pieces that were made from a more heat-resistant glass, and I have never had an explosion issue with them. I will never buy Pyrex with small letters.

I knocked over the jar of shrimp cocktail sauce that was in the cupboard above the sink after it was soaked. It was like a fire cracker when the cocktail sauce fell into the dish. The baking dish was large but the cocktail sauce was good. The 2 pack I bought was to replace the one. A little caution. The blue lid on the dish locked into place. These dishes don't fit the blue lid. The dishes don't have holes in them.

👤Poor quality pans are extremely dangerous. I have never put them on the countertop while it's hot. Yesterday when I picked up the pan to put away after it had been washed and dried, it cracked in half and sliced my arm open. The cut required a trip to the ER and 9 stitches. Purchasing a higher quality pan will save you money in the long run, and you will also avoid going to the emergency room. Don't buy if you're warned.

👤We had this for a while. It split in two while we couldn't tell. There wasn't a big temperature change. One minute it was in one piece and the next it was in the middle. This is the first time that something like this has happened to me, and I have a lot of other borosilicate glass cookware.

👤I was very excited to receive this product. The product was not faulty but there is an issue with the design. I wanted to have a way to store my pies and quiches in the fridge. This would have been like a Tupperware type thing. It wasn't. There are large vent holes on the lid. It's almost like a microwave plate cover. If they wanted to vent the lid just in case you wanted to re-warm your food, then you could store it in the fridge to keep it fresh without letting air in. I would have never wasted my time or money if I had known about the vents. Sorry OXO.

👤This was given to us for our wedding. We use it a lot. The glass shattered in my hand about a year after the wedding. I took it out of the cabinet and was going to use it for dinner. I did not drop it or anything like that. We trust Oxo so I bought another one and hope it was a mistake. Do be careful with it. If this one breaks on us, we will know it's just poor craftsmanship.

👤This is the pyrex dish for people who like deep dish lasagna. The lid fits tightly and is great for carrying the dish. pryex glass can be used for casseroles or cakes. I love it! It will be heavy if you fill it with lasagna.

👤My cockatiels love the cage-top table-top bird bath because it's deeper than the usual glass baking pan. I let my bird bath on top of the open cages in my room. I don't think this is large enough for in-cage use.

👤This was bought for a recipe that was too short for my regular pan. It was needed for Millionaires Spaghetti. It's not waist friendly. It is a good size for a dish like lasagna. It can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher. If I make something the day before, I let it sit out for an hour before putting it in the oven. The cover is very secure. No issues with this!

👤The size is adequate, but the lid is not. Doesn't seal. You slide it into position, but it doesn't make it airtight. It seems cheap to me. I want a top that matches the quality of the bottom.

👤This product was made in the Czech Republic and I love it. The price point is cheaper than other glass cloches. I put the sourdough in the top piece and slashed it, then turned it into a 450F oven. It was easy to take the hot lid off because the larger piece has bigger handles than the smaller one, and it was fun to watch it rise and brown. I will line the bottom with paper next time because it stuck even though I put it on a bed of semolina. This will be great to use as a large casserole or roasting pan for a small turkey. I think it will look great on my dinner table. I am looking forward to getting more products from Simax in the future, as they make great glass products that can be used in many different ways.

👤Even though it is marketed for it, this is the best value for the dollar bread dutch oven. If you can mix and ferment bread then you can make breads that are even better. I am a pro baker just a guy with a new hobby, but I understand tools of the trade and this is a mandatory tool in my book. Some people complain about the lid being hard to get off, but they make the ears a little long so it's not an issue. If you don't learn how to use the tool first, it will break from thermal shock. If you're new to sour dough and don't have a lot to invest, this should be your first tool. This will get you pro results in your home, everything else can be done by hand. I have worked with lab grade glass before and they know their way around it, I have used some of their lab glass on other products and never had any issues. I have never had sticking issues. Before I drop the loaf on, I dust the bottom with flour. When the dough hits the oven, preheat it so it's already hot. Hope this answers any questions. The product is great!

👤I really wanted to love this. I've been looking for a large casserole dish with a lid for a long time, and I was happy to find it. The set up of the lid handles against the dish handles makes it a nightmare. They line up perfectly, right? There is no gap between them. To lift the hot glass lid, I have to pry a butter knife between the lid handles and the dish handles, and then try not to have it slide off, burn me, and/or break. All while avoiding the steam which comes out. I thought I would get used to it and figure out a better way, but it isn't. I wish I had returned the stupid thing when I realized how much it hurt to take the lid off. I'm stuck with the return window closed.

👤I love this pan. It is large enough to bake what I bought it for. I have one complaint and it has no handles. Silicone oven mats or pads are needed when pulling it out of the oven. The first time we baked with it, my husband almost dropped the pan. The pan was very slick because of this. We had a Silicone oven to use, and nothing was dropped. This pan is pretty to look at.

👤Zero stars! There is a defect in my bake tray. The tray exploded in my hands as I was transferring it from the fridge to the kitchen counter. I gently placed the tray into the counter, rather than bang it on the counter. The glass was not able to handle the temperature change from the cold fridge to the cool kitchen counter. I have never had a problem with my ten-year old tray. I think there are some major quality control issues. The shards were so sharp and heavy that they tore chunks out of my mats. I had cuts on my hands.

One had the lid and handles pictured but the other had a lid that fit inside the handles, which provided less clearance for items sitting higher in the dish. The dish was a bit wider than I wanted because of the gaps in the handles. I received a replacement that was not the same as the one pictured, but it was the same type with open handle grips and a lid that fit inside. Gave up but still happy with both styles. This would be air tight to protect what is inside and prevent light spillage. Regardless of style, still recommend.

👤I only used it a few times after buying it a few months ago. I roasted some hazelnuts in the oven for 15 minutes and then took it off the oven. I felt the all thing explode in my hand. Millions of tiny pieces were everywhere, and it was glasses that exploded so much it wasn't like a couple small pieces. It took a long time to clean up. This item may have a factory defect. Buy this. It's a great way to ruin your day. I don't know why Amazon chose this. It's hard to understand why Amazon made this mistake.
