Best Baking Ware Set with Lids

👤I spent too much time reading reviews before deciding to pull the plug on a set of pots and pans as I wanted quality over quantity. I paid for the product and waited. I received a notification that my order was shipped. I checked the tracking information after a few days and found no information. There is no information on where the order is. I reach out to Amazon to find out I have to contact the company. I do. My order was marked shipped but never arrived. There were 8 days. The product is very visually pleasing. I don't cook a lot because I live alone and work a lot. The bottom of the pan became scratched up fairly well. After a few more days, I am told that a tracking number will be sent when a replacement is sent out. The set is clean and comfortable to handle. They are not dishwasher safe. I would not have bought them if I had known this. The company is devoid of any remorse or desire to correct the poor experience they provide. I received a replacement for the pan that was damaged. Out of the control of the manufacturers. I contacted them again to tell them FedEx damaged their product, but never received a reply. The owner berated me for posting the review during the discussion of replacing the pan.

👤I am very happy with this set. This is a great collection. Everything I needed to make my old, worn out cookware look better was in it. The pots are of high quality. They are made of heavy quality metal. I had a brief look at these pots in person and I knew they were good. You would see high value kitchens. Each lid is perfect. There is a steam vent in the handles to minimize burns. I didn't need to add butter to cook my eggs in the pans. I almost have the nerve to try pancake flipping because they are so easy to flip. The brownies are made in the baking pan. It bakes marvelously, because it distributes heat evenly throughout. When baked on these cookie sheets, Nuggets get crisp breading. After that, everything comes clean. The bronze coloring of this set is modern. I get a lot of compliment when a guest is over for dinner. They will see how many matching pieces I have. You can pull out the matching spatula or bread pan. This collection is all in one bundle. It came in two separate but equally giftable boxes if a person was thinking of giving it for a bridal shower or housewarming gift. See the pictures I uploaded. Two people could split on this and each have a present to give the other at the end of the event. I am very happy with this set. This manufacturer is definitely recommended by me. A young man just starting out was given my older cookware. I have this set in my kitchen. It has everything. I gave two thumbs up.

👤I chose this set because it matches my kitchen. I've only used it a few times. I'm hoping it's a good purchase because it's strong and sturdy. When I put it in the dishwasher, it comes out clean, but when I dry it, it's a little wet. 👤The baking set is the worst I have ever purchased. The bakery goods are ruined because they tear in chunks, with much or most of the products still stuck to the pan. You can't serve rotten pans or give ruined bakery goods as gifts if you consider the purchase price and the loss of expensive ingredients. I used the bread loaf pan for the first time. I had to soak it for several hours and then change out the fresh soaking water because of the layers of gunk that had stuck and torn when I tried to get it out of the pan. The color of the pans looked stained when baking product had touched them. The pans were ruined the first time they were used, but I did not leave them damp or to air out.

👤It exploded in the oven. This isn't real Pyrex, it's dangerous junk. I reached in with a spatula to remove the fish from the dish that exploded when I tried to broil it. Real Pyrex is made from borosilicate which is very heat resistant and cheap lime glass. The Pyrex brand was sold by Corning in 1998 and the current owners use it as a brand name, but they don't make it out of actual pyrex glass. You can find references to exploding pyrex on the internet, including from Consumer Reports. I wish I'd done the search before I bought this, it's left me with an oven full of shattered glass. If you are looking for Pyrex, you should look for borosilicate baking dishes.

👤Poor reviewers had to clean shattered glass out of our ovens. This product is not oven safe. There is a product made from borosilicate glass. Pyrex used to be made of that. Please don't buy this product.

👤I have used Pyrex for years and purchased this pan last year. We don't use this a lot, but it had worked fine until today. I removed the pan and the loaf of meat from the oven when it was done because it was 350 degrees. One side of the Pyrex spilled all over the place. We only used the pan about 6 times and it is only 9 months old.

👤I didn't know that pyrex glassware is made of soda lime and not borosilicate like they used to be. I was looking for a brand that wouldn't shatter with temperature changes. The seller should note in their description that this glassware is not tempered. I wouldn't have made this purchase if I'd known the glass was soda lime. It was very misleading and disappointing.

I have old Pyrex pieces that were made from a more heat-resistant glass, and I have never had an explosion issue with them. I will never buy Pyrex with small letters.

The package was fine. There were no dents or holes. The bowl set was damaged in the warehouse. It was not a shipping issue.

They had a strong chemical smell when they arrived. Go figure, it's made in China. The largest bowl doesn't stay on well, and not all the lids go on easily. Would I buy a new set? If it's all I can afford, that's what I would do. We will probably try to find another set if we want another set. 5 stars for the price and clean up. There is a chemical smell and some lids are not staying on. That is the reason I give it 4 stars.

👤When attaching the lid to the glassware, there is a thin layer of glass on the handles, which can cause small shards of glass to come off. If I wanted to take the time to sand each of the edges of the dishes, it would be fine, but this is a process that should be completed by the manufacturer. I can't say if this product will last as it happened on the first use. I had to throw out the leftovers because I was afraid that a glass shard would make it into the food. I normally don't write reviews but this is very dangerous.

👤Pyrex was sold to the Chinese and I have heard horror stories about it. I want a glass baking dish that is strong and heat resistant. It has large handles for safe handling. The two sizes come in one package.

Their packing is the worst. My pan was damaged because of the packaging. It wasn't that big and sharp. I did not return it. Yes. If they want to survive in the competitive Industry, they need to improve their packing. I would have rated it 5 stars. I am giving 4 stars because of that bad packaging. 👤My wife has a number of glass baking dishes, but didn't have this size. I'm typing for her while she makes a cookbook for our children and grandchildren. I knew she didn't have a large dish when I noticed many of the recipes called for one. I asked her about it and she said she just changes the recipes to match the dish she was using. I ordered her one that was this size. I think she uses this one more than the others. It's not better than the others, but it allows her to stop adjusting the recipes.

👤We wanted to love this. I haven't baked with it. The first one had a broken plastic lid. It was obvious that something had changed in the box that it was shipped in. I thought that the plastic lid that came with the pan broke in pieces because the box had other items in it. It was fair enough. The replacement pan/lid was shipped in a protected box. The plastic lid was cracked and will break in use. It's a matter of low-cost production for molded plastic. The pan can be used. I did work in IT at a plastics manufacturer, but I am not a plastics engineer. The problem with Nordic Ware is the engineering and manufacture. Nordic Ware management said they need to cut costs. It's disappointing that Made in USA isn't something to write home about. I like their cookie sheets. The cake pan is made of aluminum. The lid is worthless. I will keep the pan and file the lid in the recycle bin, even though I almost did a return authorization for the replacement Amazon sent me.

👤After hand washing the pan, it turned into a dark rusty looking area, and all the scratch marks appeared. I have to always line the pans with something. I have a cookie sheet pan and I find that when it's hot, it comes out of the oven semi-concaved and then pops back in place as it cools, it's not very safe.

It is made of pure aluminum which has superior heat conductivity and allows cakes and brownies to rise and bake evenly. The pans are perfect for everyday use, and the lids make it easy to transport items like brownies for school bake sales or sports events. I mostly use my lids at home for storing brownies because they are fully intact. I simply wash my hands with hot soapy water. The deep pans allow you to make large quantities of food, especially for casseroles, when you don't feel like pulling out a ceramic dish. I've used it for ribs and roasting chicken. These pans are very good. They are made in the United States and perfect for everyday use. A+

👤This pan is sturdy. The plastic lid is snug. I wanted a 9 x 13 pan, but this is just short of that. If you measure the outside of the rolled rim, it's almost 13 but the top interior measurement is less than 9 x13. I will not return it. It's probably going to work for my recipes that call for 9 x 13 but it's annoying from a good quality supplier like Nordic Ware.

👤If you're looking for containers with lids that fit onto the container, then these are for you. 99% of the containers fit the lids. They're small for the job at hand and not tight. The glass containers are of decent size. I didn't have any issues with the packaging. There were no chips or scratches in the box. If a container has a lid, then it should fit on there tightly. I've had them pop off when I've moved containers around in a cabinet and even when they have contents in them, which is quite scary.

I decided to try them out since they were much cheaper than other brands, and since I've already purchased some of the Amazon Basics products, I'm pretty sure I'll be happy. The case is still the same. I like that they're sturdy and I can stick them in the dishwasher, I don't know if they shatter easily, but I do like that they're nice and sturdy. There was nothing in the box except for the materials surrounding the trays. You just use them with trust, without any stickers or details. It was highly appreciated by my mother. Hopefully this set will last for a lot of Mothers' Day.
