Best Baking Ware with Lids

👤A smooth transition to a flat bottom can be achieved with a professional mixing bowl. The bowls have a raised bottom section that creates a sharp bend at the junction between the side and bottom of the bowl. The corrugation makes the bowl worthless as a mixing bowl. The raised seam catches the whisk as food collects in the seam. They are nicely made and have a nice retro thumb ring. The handles have replaced the thumb rings in the bowls. Please fix the Tovolo.

👤I've had the hardest time finding mixing bowls with tight fitting lids that won't leak when you tip them. I was very excited to find these. When I got them, they looked good. They are not very thick, but not so thin that they are flimsy. They were a good value for the price. After washing them, I left the largest one upside down on a dry towel to dry, and it had rust spots that wouldn't go away the next day. I will probably keep them because I need a few mixing bowls that won't break, but I'm disappointed in how quickly they rusted.

👤Someone asked where I got these. But them. I have had them for over 6 years. They look as good as new after a few uses. The plastic lids have a nice snap. It's nice to have something that holds up, in a world where so much stuff breaks after a year. This is the real deal, and steel is real. Everything holds up great after being washed.

The handle and shape are exactly the brand and size as purchased, but you can see from both sides, there are no measurement markings. Look at the photos. There is no measurement at all. There is no etching of any kind. These bowls are not fancy. Do not purchase if the measurement is required. There are many less expensive choices if there are needed measurements.

👤I am very pleased after reading many of the reviews. The lid is made of opaque Polypropylene, which is one of the safest and most durable materials for the kitchen. They are thick and seal better than most lid equipped items. These are just as good or better than a restaurant. I have seen pans that are thinner. They are either a heavy gauge or a double wall construction. The edges are rolled and there are no marks on them. The ring is half a dollar in size. The value is better than sets that cost more. 👤It's a good choice for cooking. Light is plastic but clean. If you are whisking or mixing, the rings on the work bowls add stability. The bowls have a rubber spatula. One can complete the "mise en place" with a three-bowl set. I would like to add a smaller bowl to my set. I always use a small two-cup bowl for an egg or scraps, depending on what you use the bowls for. The bowl sizes are small. The rings are easier to grip if you have big fingers. I would've liked a small ring.

👤We wanted to love this. I haven't baked with it. The first one had a broken plastic lid. It was obvious that something had changed in the box that it was shipped in. I thought that the plastic lid that came with the pan broke in pieces because the box had other items in it. It was fair enough. The replacement pan/lid was shipped in a protected box. The plastic lid was cracked and will break in use. It's a matter of low-cost production for molded plastic. The pan can be used. I did work in IT at a plastics manufacturer, but I am not a plastics engineer. The problem with Nordic Ware is the engineering and manufacture. Nordic Ware management said they need to cut costs. It's disappointing that Made in USA isn't something to write home about. I like their cookie sheets. The cake pan is made of aluminum. The lid is worthless. I will keep the pan and file the lid in the recycle bin, even though I almost did a return authorization for the replacement Amazon sent me.

👤After hand washing the pan, it turned into a dark rusty looking area, and all the scratch marks appeared. I have to always line the pans with something. I have a cookie sheet pan and I find that when it's hot, it comes out of the oven semi-concaved and then pops back in place as it cools, it's not very safe.

The pans are perfect for everyday use, and the lids make it easy to transport items like brownies for school bake sales or sports events. I mostly use my lids at home for storing brownies because they are fully intact. I simply wash my hands with hot soapy water. The deep pans allow you to make large quantities of food, especially for casseroles, when you don't feel like pulling out a ceramic dish. I've used it for ribs and roasting chicken. These pans are very good. They are made in the United States and perfect for everyday use. A+

👤This pan is sturdy. The plastic lid is snug. I wanted a 9 x 13 pan, but this is just short of that. If you measure the outside of the rolled rim, it's almost 13 but the top interior measurement is less than 9 x13. I will not return it. It's probably going to work for my recipes that call for 9 x 13 but it's annoying from a good quality supplier like Nordic Ware.

👤Are you tired of the coating coming off? Don't buy them anymore. This is a good heavy gauge pan that is worth the extra money. Something gets burnt on it, so take an abrasive cleaner to it and scrub it off. You can scrub these pans because they are easier to keep clean. You can not do that with a pan that is coated. The Nordic pans are heavy gauge metal and they won't bend when you put pressure on them. They maintain their shape no matter what you do to them.

👤It's a perfect size to make a small dish. I use it for lasagna, but I know it's for cakes. I've used it to bake cake and roast potatoes. Yeah... I use it many different ways. It's a good idea to use a piece of paper on the bottom to keep it from sticking.

👤I fall in love with everything I own from Nordic Ware. I will be a Nordic Ware user for the rest of my life. The quality and materials seem to make this stand out. The brownies come out perfectly every time. I don't recommend putting baking sheets in the dishwasher. The sheets are still doing their job. Hand wash and dry if you want to take care of this product. I'm proud to say that Nordic Ware is from Minnesota. They donate food to local food shelves on a weekly basis and are located on the bike trail. Awesome company!

👤I bought and returned two of them. They wouldn't sit on the counter. There was a good amount of space between the pan bottom and the countertop. The second one was damaged. I was surprised that Nordic Ware would allow these to get through quality control. If it had been one pan, I could have made a mistake, but two.

I don't like non-stick finishes on cookware, and a good quality baking pan doesn't require that kind of coating, just a quick spray with cooking spray or a light coating of butter, and the baked product slides right out. I use the dishwasher to wash this pan. I use it to bake brownies, small cakes, biscuits, cornbread, and anything else that will fit into its 8 by 8 inch size. It's perfect for someone who cooks for a few people, but not many. It's a huge bonus to find one with this kind of quality. I bought it to replace an old aluminum pan that was bent and battered. I had a hard time finding one that met all my requirements until I came across this little beauty. When I say that this pan is my friend, anyone who cooks a lot will understand. 👤There is a quality difference when I buy American made things. The loaf pans are very good. They bake up a loaf of meat evenly and release it without it falling apart. The bottom and sides of the house don't brown, but that doesn't matter to me. Cleanup is more important to me than anything else. Even if the mess is baked on, these pans are easy to wash with soap and a soft dishcloth. My pans are new after many meatloaves. One of my pans is shown in my picture. Impressive, right? :D

The lifestyle of kitchens today is not the same as it was in the past. They are perfect for the new air fryers. I will put the bakeware in during preheat to avoid problems. Adding the results of the testing to the sales site would be a good idea, as would adding more information in the directions. These are 10X better than similar bakeware. Buy it!

👤The set was broken but I like it. They look like the sets my mom and grandma had. I would like to have that broken piece replaced. I only have to cook for myself and a 1 year old so I would use that one the most. Same day. On top of the broken baking dishes, I just went to use the middle sized one and noticed a small crack in the crevice of the dish. We just moved in and we have no other bakeware and this set is trash. Don't buy.

👤This purchase was for the same item. We purchased one of these dishes along with a 2 quart dish. We broke our 1 1/2 quart dish because we use it almost daily. This dish contains vegtables, polenta and rice. The dish was still available from Amazon. We bought a new dish and were back to normal. I love it!

👤I was looking for a larger bowl to heat/reheat food in the microwave. The white dish is attractive to use on the table, and the clear lid allows me to see the food while heating. The lid doesn't fit down into the bowl as well as another bowl I've had for years. It will be more likely to break when it is carried to the table. I love the bowl.

👤The copper is pretty and it's sturdy. I use it to hold earrings both horizontally and vertically. This is probably not a typical use, but I recommend it. I have a lot of French hooks and kidney wires in my earrings. I think I will be able to fit 80 or so before it gets too crowded. There was no comment on its use as a cooling rack. Perfect for French hooks. It looks very nice. Doesn't come with mounting hardware. If you have an earring problem, this is the use you should use.

👤I have been very impressed with the baking products from the NordocWear line. The exception has been the big sheet cooling rack. It arrived warped from the manufacturer. The cooking rack is not straight. They fit their big sheet pan perfectly and being convex is not a good thing. I thought I would keep it, but how big a deal could it be? A lot. The cooling rack is the same height as the lip. I was trying to cook the chicken strips in the pan and a few fell off. I will return this one and order another one, hoping that it was a mistake. The new one arrived with a slight curve to it that made it easier to eat. It's much happier with this one.

👤I have accepted that any product from Nordic Ware will be rejected by the company. I requested an additional discount for the Bundt pan, but let this grid slide since I knew the risk. It is something to consider if you are not getting much of a discount.

👤This is a sturdy cooling rack. I was stabbed in the thumb by a tiny thin wire near the edges of the grid wires. I expected a premium product when I bought it. I used my pliers to make it work. It got me, but not one of the children. I wouldn't buy this again.

👤This is to be used in my new air fryer oven. It is large enough to do multiple items. I spray the tray with oil to prevent it from sticking and line the pan with foil to make it easier to clean. The clean-up was easy.

👤I like this so much that I may get a third. Large, very sturdy. The pan is covered with a wire grid that is non-stick. I use it to make jerky, to cook bacon, to roast veggies, and so on. The first unit's wire grid was sturdy enough, but the second unit's grid is a bit thicker. It could be that it was a different supplier. These are very well designed. They can't be beat for the money. When you're done cooking, put some dish soap in the pan, fill it with water, and let it soak for a few minutes. Don't soak the grid for hours, it's not good for its non-stick finish. Then rinse the pan and both sides of the grid with a soft brush and put it away.

👤This pan is great for cooking bacon. Our bacon is cooked in the oven and it comes out nice and crisp. I used a cooling rack for the bacon to keep it from melting in the oven, but sometimes I spilled grease in the oven because the cookie sheet wasn't deep enough. The pan is deep enough to capture grease and the coating on the rack makes it easy to clean than a cooling rack. After disposing of grease, the aluminum pan cleans easily. I use the pan for other things as well. It is the perfect size for holding two dozen sandwiches.

👤Egg custard was baked in a water bath in the first pan. The pan is not touched by the custard. I poured boiling water around the cups. When I removed the pans from the oven, they were discolored on the inside and on the sides. They're ugly now. I will be returning the pans. There was a warning with the pans. I would have chosen another product if this was included on the Amazon listing. Glass would have been a better choice. I didn't have this problem with my pans.

👤I don't want pans without lids or non-stick chemicals. This pan serves perfectly and seems commercial quality in function and design, as I hand-wash and pick up a Brillo pad more than occasionally. If you are more into function than color or style, you will be happy with it.

The recommended method of cleaning in the dishwasher is against the recommendations of the manufacturer. They said to wash the lid in the dishwasher and hand wash the pan. I washed them both in the dishwasher, and there was some discoloration of the pan and some warping of the lid. I don't think either of these are a huge problem. The color of the pan is irrelevant to me, as the lid still has a tight seal when it's on the pan, which is all that matters to me. I am excited to have a pan with an accompanying lid and I think this is another fantastic product from Nordicware. I'm sure it will get many years of use.

👤The pans heat evenly. You don't have to worry about burning or adjusting bake times. Don't forget non-stick pans. These pans last forever because they are not dishwasher or lemon based soap and are regular use and clean.
